Software updates that need to be pushed out to fix minor shortcomings

I am using the iphone 4 with IOS5 and there are some shortcoming that bother me and i am sure most of u as well. I will keep an ongoing list here of the shortcoming so we can hopefully get apple to make these minor fixes.
* Native reminder application:
Cannot sort reminders within a list
No snooze options on popup
* Calendar Application
Also no snooze option when alerts go off
* SMS application
Unable to copy a portion of a sms message, only able to copy the whole message
I left feedback on all of the above because i was told by apple that is how they came out with IOS5 .. from reading all the feedback from users. So hopefully u guys can leave some feedback for the small above updates and also add in your own. Please share with the community some shortcomings that u see with the IOS in which u possibly miss from another platform that u have used in the past or just hoping to see on your iphone.
I know i can use third party apps to replace all of the above and wont have to deal with these issues but then i loose the whole opiton of setting reminders and calendar events with siri.

SMS is so widely used these days ... why is there no way to setup a favorite within phone application to send sms .. only options are facetime and call. So time consuming to click on arrow of person ... scroll down to bottom and send message.
Apple is so smart and comes out with these amazing devices but misses the small things.

I have a task sequence that runs on servers to automatically install the advertised updates in software center. I have one server that is not installing these updates and from the smsts log I see an error about "CI Version times out" Does anyone
know what this means? TIA

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Maybe you should try updating 5.1.1 from iTunes? Because I had the same thing and it was 5.0.1.

Go back to that article, ignore the instructions for updating it wirelessly, scroll down, and follow those for updating it from iTunes on a computer.

On OSX 10.8.5 should I download all software updates that appear? Can some updates disrupt my system?

Software Updates that I neither want nor need

Hello,
It seems like every week, I get an alert with the same list of software updates for programs that I never use. iLife, iMovie, iGarage or whatever it's called, etc.
Sure, I install the security updates and all the relevant stuff, but I get so sick of always unchecking the boxes on all the unnecessary stuff, only to have it pop up again next time. At this point, there are about a dozen updates it tells me about each week, and ALL of them are ones that I don't want or need.
Any way to deactivate the alert for certain types of items? Thank you.

Select the ones you don't want to keep seeing and use Software Update's "Update" menu > "Ignore Update...".

Blackberry Z10 Issues that need to be worked out!

I've had the Z10 for a few days now and I've loved the experience aside from a couple of weird issues that have been occuring on my device.
1. Swiping the lock screen
The lockscreen works great 80% of the time but there have been some instances when I've tried to swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen to unlock and it just doesn't read anything at all. I'll press the top button to put the phone to sleep and then push again to wake and I still am unable to unlock the phone. To fix this I've had to reboot the phone and then it will start working normally. This has happened on a number of occasions.
2. Hitting the 'Send' Key when Texting
I love the Z10 keyboard. It seems I am able to type much faster than any device previous though there is a bug here as well. Sometimes I will type out a whole message and when I try hitting 'Send' to complete the message it doesn't actually send! The key looks like it's being pressed down and everything. I can hit it more than once and it won't send the message. I've tried putting the phone to sleep and opening it again. I've tried closing the window and switching to another app then switching back and that doesnt work either. The only solution is to cancel the entire message (clear the field), exit to Text Messages by hitting back all the way, going back into the chosen text message conversation, and then retyping. This has worked for me.
I know it seems these issues are resolved through certain methods but I believe our users should not have to go through this type of trouble to alleviate such issues. Please take a look into these problems and include their resolution in the next software update. Thank you!

Yes, I mean if I want to write any thing in point then the only way is to write it all in one line, There is no option to replace the SEND key to be "New line" same like the previous blackberry operating systems.
Small things but Definitely enforce the people to switch forever from Blackberry to anything else

I am running 4.0 version, and each time I open Firefox, I get a software update that says "Downloading Firefox / connecting to the update server", but it just STICKS there??? Why is this happening?

I am running Firefox 4.0 version, but for some reason, it tries to download updates and then gets stuck on trying to connect to the update server. This has been happening the past few days. When I close the update, I can proceed in Firefox without incident (that I know of).

If you have problems with updating then easiest is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version and remove the Firefox program folder to do a clean install of the new version.

* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Do not remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.
