Software upgrade 2.1 interrupted - HELP!
Hello,
This is frustrating. I was reluctant to upgrade from 2.0 to 2.1 for a long time since it was working perfectly, but today I decided to take a risk and I lost. I updated BB Desktop Manager, plugged the Playbook into my laptop, backed PB up and started the SW upgrade. It went OK for a while to about 30% as I can see on a progress bar and then stopped. It shows "installing sys.pim.contacts" for more than two hours now. I called BB tech support and they advised me to wait much longer saying that it might take 8 hours and if I disconnect PB it will become unusable. I checked the CPU of my laptop and there is a zero activity on it, it is virtually idle. I am on high speed cable internet and there is no problem with connectivity. Any thoughts or suggestions?

my 9360 curve is currently plugged in but is stuck on the back up proccess. i dont want to unplugged my device. what else can i do to restart the install proccess to update to new os7.OK. Since the issue is specific to your original user account, you can proceed in two ways. One is to log into your new account, make a list of the preference files (plists) located in /username/Library/Preferences/, including any in the ByHost subfolder, log back into the original account, move everything on that other account's list from the original account's Preferences folder into a newly created folder on the Desktop, log out and back in, and see if the problem goes away. If so, you can copy the ones in the Desktop folder (one at time) back into /Preferences/, restart, and see if the problem returns. If so, you've identified the corrupt/conflicting one. Continue with all of them until isolating the bad ones. That'll save you the trouble of resetting preferences.
The second way is much more detailed and I'll not burden you with the steps unless the above doesn't fix the issue. -
Help needed: iPhone 4 software upgrade failed many times
Hello. I've bought an iPhone 4, which its operating system is 4.3, and was prompt by iTunes about this iPhone 4 software upgrade to iOS 4.3.5. I've downloaded the software and waiting for quite some time and after the dowloading has completed, the file will be processed. After processing, there is a popup saying that somehow the software upgrade failed and said something like make sure that your connection is correct etc. Do you have any idea on how to solve this issue?

I have a MacBook pro version 10.6.7 with snow leopard. After an scheduled software upgrade I could not open Quicken (It said it could not open the files). Now I can only open it if I have my external drive on. Can you help?
All the information that I had input on Quicken is gone. I have to have the external hard drive that I use to back up to be able to use quicken now. It is as if it was erased from the laptop hardriveTry repairing permissions. My favorite way is with a utility called AppleJack. Info and download here. It's free. It only works when you boot in Single User Mode. When restarting or booting, hold down the Command key and S keys.
You will get a very different startup screen that looks like the Terminal app has hijacked the screen. Just let the lines of text scroll by. When that happens you will get a text entry prompt. Type in "AppleJack" without the quotation marks.
A DOS looking menu will appear. Choose 1 or d to run Disk Repair. If you get a message that Disk Repair found and corrected errors, run it again. Repeat until you get the "your disk appears to be ok" message. This rarely happens with my experience, though. This does the same thing as as booting from an external drive and running Disk Utility's repair. Only, no external drive is required!
Next, choose 2 or p to repair disk permissions. This will take a little while. AppleJack warns that it will take up to an half hour to run repair permissions. It'n never taken more than about ten minutes for my MacBook Pro.
As permissions are repaired, you will see each repair scroll on the screen. When done, the menu returns, choose q to quit. Then at the prompt, enter "exit" without the quotes. Your MacBook Pro should restart into Mac OS normally after this.

Purchasing iPod Touch January Software Upgrade help
Alright, I'm trying to get the software upgrade for my iPod Touch 1.1.4. The screen tells me that if my iPod is connected to disconnect and reconnect after that I go to the bottom of the page and click okay and it just sends me to the iTunes Store main page. I've tried clicking okay then disconnecting and bringing up the page but nothing seems to let me purchase the software upgrade. Any help is appreciated.
I am encountering exactly the same thing. I had the upgrade and when using Notes the program locked up and returned to the iPod Touch desktop. Notes was now unusable. So I reset the iPod, installed 1.1.4, reinstalled iTunes. Tried everything a few times and kept getting the same pattern, from the web site to the iTunes January update page, then from there back to the homepage of iTunes.
It is like it doesn't recognize that 1.1.4 does not have the upgrade. Something is buggy. Hopefully with the next update it will work because it doesn't now. -
The wifi on my iPod doesn't work since upgrading the software to ios 6 therefore when I try to reset to the original settings I can't get my original software back. Can anyone help me with this?

I cannot sync contacts between my iPhone 4s and MacBook Pro after I upgraded the Mac with the latest operating system software upgrade. Even the Mac Store couldn't help...
That is because that sync ability (for contacts and calendars) has been removed. Use iCloud instead.

The option to update without the computer (Over the air) was made available with iOS 5. If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade. Use the Apple link below as a guide for the upgrade.

I cannot sync my iphone to my macbook since the highest software upgrade on it is 10.5.8. I cannot upgrade to the min. software necessary to upgrade to the itunes version that I need for the iphone 5! Please help!
The iPhone 5 requires iTunes 10.7 or later and iTunes 10.7 requires OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.8). If your profile is correct it looks like you need to update your OS X on you Mac. You can contact Apple and purchase the software from them.

As I downloaded new software upgrade in my iPod nano 7 th gen and also new iTunes upgrade then all data on my iPod got erased and now when I am trying to sync it again then sync button is disabled on the windows screen . Kindly help

They don't have the music on their computer so they cannot transfer the iTunes folder, from the computer to their iPod and then to the new computer. And if they try to enable disk use on the iPod it will erase all the music that is on it. The method you cited is moving the files in a data format using the iPod as a flash drive. It doesn't work if they are in music format. That is why I suggested Yamipod. -

I have a problem with an iPad 2. After the software upgrade to iOS 5 the APN settings keep resetting all by themselves (I set the APN, I get out of the setting by pressing the back arrow on the top left of the screen, I get back in there and the APN setting is gone). Of course, the internet connection si not working. I've seen other people having the same problem on their iPads after the upgrade.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?I too am experiencing this issue - on an iPad 2 using a UK BT DATA plan SIM. This is not an issue with the SIM, as I have tried it in a different iPad and it works without any problems.
I have also tried all recent iOS updates, hoping it would overcome the issue - but no joy.
Can we have some assistance from the fine people at Apple please???

Help Unable to use software upgrade
I am unable to use software upgrade, til yesterday it was running fine, today i am not getting the updates, the page is completly blank, but still says , your computer has softwares to be upgraded.why has this problem occured.I know i can download everything individually, but i need my mbp to do it automatically, as my net is slow.
3rd party pluggs or Logic instruments? Did you change hardware or installed/updated your software? I have a similar problem after an update where logic can't open 3rd party pluggs... But then I can open them on new projects... Strange!.....

3502I access point unsuccessful software upgrade
Hi all. I have a trouble with AIR-CAP3502I-R-K9 AP and I want to ask help.
I tried to upgrade IOS software in ap because it was connecting and disconnecting to controller too often. I already upgraded one of two access point and it working stable at this time, but the second one not.
I tried to make software upgrade:
