Software upgrade not working need help asap!
hey all
my 9360 curve is currently plugged in but is stuck on the back up proccess. i dont want to unplugged my device. what else can i do to restart the install proccess to update to new os7.
OK. Since the issue is specific to your original user account, you can proceed in two ways. One is to log into your new account, make a list of the preference files (plists) located in /username/Library/Preferences/, including any in the ByHost subfolder, log back into the original account, move everything on that other account's list from the original account's Preferences folder into a newly created folder on the Desktop, log out and back in, and see if the problem goes away. If so, you can copy the ones in the Desktop folder (one at time) back into /Preferences/, restart, and see if the problem returns. If so, you've identified the corrupt/conflicting one. Continue with all of them until isolating the bad ones. That'll save you the trouble of resetting preferences.
The second way is much more detailed and I'll not burden you with the steps unless the above doesn't fix the issue.

Software Update Not Working -- need help!
Hello everyone. Was wondering if anyone could help me with an annoying problem I've now had for several weeks. My new MacBook Pro purchased in July, 2010 as well as an older iMac both will not update software automatically. In Software Update, updates are set to "daily," however the last time checked is when I did it manually. I've now tried deleting preference files in my user as well as system Library folders for Software Update and even reinstalling OS10.6. However, something must be corrupted in my user profile because it still will not perform checks automatically. They work fine when done manually. If I create a new test user with admin privileges, automatic updates work just fine. That is why I believe something is corrupting it for my specific user (Intego VirusBarrier?? Parallels?? MobileMe??). I've checked all the logs and reports and can't find any clues as to what's going on.

My iPhone 5 was stolen, and i just recieved my new iPhone 5c in the mail. i turned it on and went through the set up instructions assuming it would lead me to the acivation process but it did not. I now have a phone that works with everything but calls and texts. I looked up online and it said you can activate it through itunes, i downloaded itunes onto my computer and plugged my phone in to it using the USB port and still nothing. will someone please help!
Take the phone into your nearest Verizon store. They will activate it for you. If you really cant do that, call Verizon Customer Service back, explain you've been unable to activate it and have them walk you through it.

CSS Inherit Not Working (Need Help )
Try as I might, I can't get the border style to inherit. I
found the below code in published article and tried it.
Unfortunately, it did not work as stated or as I would have
predicted. Basically, I can't get border or any other non default
inherited style to work. When I render the below html the 3rd
paragraph starting with the words "You can...." do not have a
border, either does the <a href>. Accoding to the article and
my understanding of inheritance they should.

USB Drive stopped working - Need help ASAP Please!
I'm a student, and all of my current work for exams is stored on my USB flash drive.
It was working fine, and this morning I pulled it out of my Intel iMac (without ejecting, ****) and it hasn't worked since.
When I plug it into any computer, I get a solid red light, whereas I usually get a blinking red light signaling that something is happening.
Can anyone help me?

First with the drive connected, go to Disk Utility.
(I'm going to assume you are not a basic user, but if you need more instructions, just say so!)
Find the drive, and see what OS X says about it. If possible, try repairing it with First Aid.
Should this not work, as long as your drive is detectable and reachable, there may be a chance to recover the data. I suggest using a program like DataRescue II. There are a few out there. The best ones do cost. I do not know of any free ones, but hopefully someone else will come and help out. -
ALERT code not working, need help.

i'm working in forms 10.1.2.0.2 and i have written some code to call an Alert when the user puts in an invalid number, however, the alert isn't poping up and the cursor will not move out of the field. This is on a post-text script.
basic:

If the user is mouse-clicking to leave the field - the Post-Text-Item trigger will not fire. Take a look at the "Post-Text-Item trigger Restrictions" listed in the Forms Help system for this and other restrictions on using the Post-Text-Item trigger.

Java not working, need help from the pros!!!
Whenever i go to a website that uses java (like runescape), the window that has the java is all white screen and on the top left side there is a little sheet of paper with a folded corner with a red X on it.
Java doesn't work, please i need help!

Ip SLA failover config not working need help urgent cisco 2911 K9 router

I am setting up failover wan for one of my cient and seems everything i have configured correctly but its not working. For track i am using google DNS ip 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 where if i ping 8.8.8.8 from router it pings but not 8.8.4.4. I I think because 8.8.4.4 no pinging so router does not jump if primary gigabitethernet0/0 down.

as Richard Burts state correct the nat configuration is not right. But the ICMP echo request for the IP SLA is traffic, which is generated from the router with a source-interface specified. There shouldn't be any NAT operation at all, or? Iam using IP SLA for two WAN connections too, but I can't recall ever seen an entry for the icmp operation in the output of sh ip nat trans.
To me the static route configuration looks wrong too. As far as I remember it's necessary to specify a next-hop address (Subnet/mask via x.x.x.x) on Multiple Access Broadcast Networks like ethernet, otherwise the Subnet appears as directly connected on the routing table. The configuration "ip route subnet mask <outgoing interface> only works correct for p2p links. With the configuration above i would say there is no routing at all possible except for "real" direct attached networks. Vibs said it's possible to reach the google dns 8.8.8.8 but not the second one 8.8.4.4. I verified that 8.8.4.4 usually answers to ICMP echo-request.
My guess is that the next hop for the gig 0/0 interface has proxy arp enabled but the next hop for the gig0/1 interface hasn't proxy arp turned on.

TS2383 MAC OS X 10.6.8 software upgrades not working
Hi, I have the MAC OS X v 10.6.8, I follow the software updates procedure, install, screen shuts down, restarts, wait a while, I add my password, it boots up, but then my Mac notify's me that I still need to upgrade my sytems? I restart it again.. no difference. I recall my office computer having a "bar" that indicated the uploading of the software, which mine fails to do. I tried looking for the Library/Updates folder which I read on a previous comment suggests I clear/trash, but it searches and cant find anything on the computer. Please advise.

When I spoke to the IT technicians at my work, they advised me that the DISk Utility check, could cause me to loose all my data on my Mac. Is this a possibility I should ne worried about?
Whew, that is one of the strangest things I've ever heard, of course anything is possible, but I consider it at least a million times more likely that it would prevent data loss than cause any, of course erase Disk is an option in Disk Utility that you wouldn't want to choose.
Not on 10.6 at the moment, but this was the previous cure for Software Update...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions.
Try trashing these files if they exist, but don't empty the trash yet...

Library/Caches/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate
Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.(12 digit number).plist

Hi, I have a Lenovo W530 running Win8.1. The installed version of the Lenovo Soultion Centre is 2.4003 Rev 19305. To be totally frank I don't utilise the Lenovo Solution Centre because I have never really been able to 'penetrate' the Lenovo software
