    OK, understood.
The 10.3 file you installed with missing apps was the developer beta, it had missing apps on purpose.
    Good luck.

I got a message that " iphone software version 5.0 is available" for my iphone. After i updated it, i got a message that my iphone could not be activated and to try to connect to itunes which i did, but i got a message that my phone has no sim card. Even with a sim card inside, my phone says that there's "No service." What happened? Help!!!

I am just sharing my experience.
I am not ranting but yes angry as I am eligible for upgrade in Nov 2012 so don't want to pay $149 for replacement as I can upgrade to iPhone 5.
Apple expert please help me how can I fix it. It's completely software issue.

    Dear Community,

Each time I connect my phone to my Laptop through itunes. A message will automatically come up which states that "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. An unknoown error occured (306)". It also make a footnote which states "make sure that your network connection ia active and try again". When I click the button labeled OK just below the messages, another message will come up which reads, "A new iphone software version (5.1) is available for the iphone software. Would you like to download it and update your iphone now?". It gives me the option buttons such as CANCEL or DOWNLOAD AND UPDATE or DOWNLOAD ONLY. If I click on DOWNLOAD AND UPDATE or DOWNLOAD ONLY. Another message will appear which states that "The iphone software update Server could not be conted" With a Footnote that states "Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connections is active, or try again later.

    1. After that a message appears from the itunes that states that 'itunes could not connect to the itunes store, an unknown error cccured (306).
    2. After the above, an alert message comes up which states that A new iphone software version 5.1 is availlable for my iphone. It then states would you like to download it and update your iphone now? With the options buttons as Cancel or Download and Update or Download Only. Whenever I clicked on Download and Update or Download Only, the next message that comes up is that The iphone Software Update Server Could not be Contacted and suggest make sure your network setting are correct and active or try again later.
The above is the challenges I am facing now.

  • IPod Nano 2nd generation software version

    Hi
I need to grab a used iPod Nano 2nd Generation to replace the one I left on the plane   : (
It's quite amazing how much value these units hold on eBay. My question is, what is the latest (or possibly the last) software version that Apple has released for this unit? I want to make sure that I ask the eBay seller what version of the software is installed on the one I'm looking at, as I feel that a currently updated unit will have the best chance of functioning properly. I am running Windows 7 on my home computer.
One of the ones I'm looking at has a picture of the information screen on the unit and it says it has software version 1.1.3. That can't be anywhere close to the last/best one, can it?
I assume that 2GB, 4GB and 8GB are the same in terms of software. I am looking for a 4GB version, or possibly an 8GB.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Nick

That is correct.  Version 1.1.3 was the last firmware update released for the 2G Nano.

  • WLC: which software-version support SHA2 certificates for Web Authentification and Web Management ?

    Hello,
I tried to install new SHA2 3th-Party certificates on our WLCs. There are old WiSM1-Boards and 2504 to support our old 1230 Access Points, running 7.0.251.2, which didn't install it, although the config manual for 7.6 and 8.0 say that SHA2 certificates are supported since 7.0.250.0. When I tried to install the SHA2-certificates I get the message "File transfer failed" an the log says:
    *TransferTask: Dec 12 13:22:14.394: #UPDATE-3-CERT_INST_FAIL: updcode.c:1869 Failed to install Webauth certificate. rc = 1
*TransferTask: Dec 12 13:22:14.394: #SSHPM-3-KEYED_PEM_DECODE_FAILED: sshpmcert.c:4085 Cannot PEM decode private key
I tried to install the same certificates on our WiSM2-Boards, running 7.4.121.0 and I failed too. The same certificates could be installed on a 2504 running 8.0.100 without any problems.
In all 3 cases I tried to install unchained certificates for web management and Level 3 chained certificates  for web authentication. I used the following guides to get the certificates (e.g. taken from the config manual 8.0.100):
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless/4400-series-wireless-lan-controllers/109597-csr-chained-certificates-wlc-00.html
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless-mobility/wlan-security/70584-csr-wlc-00.pdf
Which software versions support SHA2 certificates and which didn't ? Is the a list for it ?
    Regards

    Hello,
I solved the problem. First I used a Debian Linux system with Openssl 1.0.1. After I searched the internet using one of the log messages above I found sites which mentioned to use Openssl 0.9.x. So I tried a productive and security fixes Debian Linux System running Openssl 0.9.8 and I succeeded. The wlcs accepted the certificate files and used it after a reboot. The Web GUI still shows a SHA1 Fingerprint, but the certificate signature Algorithm is SHA2:
    Signature Algorithm: sha256WithRSAEncryption
When you check the openssl.org homepage Openssl 0.9.8 is still one of the actual version of openssl and is still available and fixed. But the Openssl Roadmap says:
"We don't want to have to maintain too many branches. This is likely to include a timescale for the EOL of version 0.9.8"
I don't know the differences between certificates made with openssl 0.9.8 and 1.0.1. Is there anybody who can explain it to me ?

  • WLC software version for "N"

    Greetings -
I have a WLC4402 currently running software version 4.2.207.0. With 802.11n just getting officially ratified I was wondering what is the "Cisco-recommended" software version for 802.11n? Should I stay at 4.2.207.0 or move up to 5.x/6.x? I have 1252 access points that are using 3560-E switches for ePoE (20w for powering both the 2.4Ghz and 5 Ghz radios).
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
    Thx
    Joe

    Thx for the reply.
I wanted to stay at version 4.2 if I could. Reason being is that 4.2.x has been very stable and reliable for me while I cannot say I have had the same experience with 5.x. If 4.2.x will support 802.11n then I will continue to use it. Being that the ratification was just announced a couple of weeks ago I didn't know if Cisco had version of software that they recommended for 802.11n deployments.
    Thx again for your input.
    Joe

  • Wireless Clients can't connect post WLC Upgrade to version 7.4.100.0

Upgraded WLC Flex 7500 controller to: 7.4.100.0
    Previous WLC Controller version: 7.2.111.3
After the upgrade, all AP's reported back to the controller and looked like working. We have 50+ branch sites that connect back via Layer 2 to the main office. The main office SSID's were broadcasting and users could connect and get the proper IP's. Users that connected back through FlexConnect AP's couldn't obtain an IP address. The client would authenticate to the WLC and accept the SSID key, but would not get an IP address. I see with the 7.4.100.0 upgrade there are more options for DHCP for each interface, which we don't use interfaces for all sites as we did in the early days, now we make sure the flex connect tab has the vlan identifier in the tab and the traffic goes out the local firewall etc. Each remote site has a Linux based firewall and DHCP server.
Looking for any insight with the 7.4.100.0 upgrade that may cause clients to not connect and obtain an IP address.
We have since back dated our WLC Software to: 7.2.111.3 to allow things to work pre upgrade which everything worked fine.
Any suggestions would be great, we had to upgrade version 7.4.100.0 to support our AP 1602.
    Thanks in advance.
    Matt

Verify that you have an upgraded FUS image. Second, make sure your WLAN to vlan mapping on the FlexConnect AP's have the correct vlan mapping. I have seen these change to the default vlan mapping.

  • Recommended to upgrade WLC to software version 4.0.179.8?

    Hi Sir,
I'm deploying a few WLC 4404-100 in a Mobility Group. They are installed with software version 4.0.155.5.
I understand that the latest version is 4.0.179.8. Is it recommended to upgrade the WLCs to this version?
    Please advise.
    Thank you.
    B.Rgds,
    Lim TS

    Hi,
I'm having a WLC 4404-100 running software version 4.0.179.8. Doing functional test now.
Created a WLAN with 802.1x and WEP 104-bits.
My wireless card is 3Com 3CRWE62092B. Windows XP SP2. Associated to the Lightweight AP and passed my EAP PEAP-MSCHAPv2 authentication with a backend Microsoft domain controller.
The connection is fine. However, every about 15 minutes, XP prompts the username/password dialog box again. My connection is cut off until I re-authenticate.
I never faced this problem before using Odyssey client previously with a WLC running software version 155.5.
    Please advise.
    Thank you.
    B.Rgds,
    Lim TS

  • I have just received an iphone 4 from a friend and it is in software version 4.3.2 still and will not update to latest version. It updates for about 3o minutes and then an error reading that my interent connection timed out? Any suggestions?

I have an Iphone 4 from a friend. It was never updated with him and now I am trying update to latest software version. It is currently in 4.3.2 and it updates till the last few seconds and then a message, with no error number, states that the internet connection had time out during update. I am using my PC and have tried unsuccessfully for a week. I have tried to restore setting on phone first before plugging in to PC and updating software through Itunes? I took it to my mobile phone outlet and they couldn't help? Is there another way?

It sounds to me as though you are attempting to open a Pages 09 document with the Pages 08 application. If you do have Pages 09 on your computer, it may be that for some reason an existing Pages 08 application is invoked accidentally.
