Software version difference on Nokia 5610???

what is the difference of the version 9.40 and version 10.00 on the Nokia 5610 XpressMusic cause mine has 9.40(updated last august 2010{extended warranty till 2011})..
*does 10.00 make the 5610's speaker more powerful/clearer/or make the sound quality even better or louder??
*does 10.00 doesn't appear any white screens or black screens when in use..
*does it make faster than 9.40 when opening folders,go to music player(like when you set the musicplayer theme to default when you slide the slider key to the music player it appears fastly but set it to themes like sine vaves etc..when you slide it(slider key)it shows black for just milli sec. then the musicplayer will appear same with the radio).this is the problem on 9.40
*how about setting the video in full screen in 9.40 the problem(bug)is still there the choppy sound(sometimes choppy) the back(word back button coz it is like the back word button is something like dot dots)
*a new music player theme ,new games aside of snake..rally 3d and tower bloxx
*battery life??camera quality??
*saving contact number when you press save the phone will show what kind of type will you save..mobile..home..tel...etc...

how about sound quality??why it doesnt affect the camera quality..cause i has a cousin who owned a 5610 just like mine..i compare the camera(with flash)..and i saw that my cousins 5610 is overexposed(5610d-1 v5.??) and mine has better quality with flash(9.40) how bout 10..and some says the sound quality of the 5610 in v10.00 had been improved.

So this is really just a token post to keep my service provider happy (no idea why I have to do all the asking for them when we both already know the answer) but can I please have a confirmation of the latest software versoin for the Nokia 6700 Slide.

v71.004 seems to be the last released update. If the phone is Network branded your device may / may not get this update. Anyway, the update was released long ago.

Please help me!i would like very much to watch online movies via youtube but i cant,when i search for new software updates on my phone,it says no new software update available.what should i do,i once updated a new software of xpress music on my nokia and i was surely watching movies on youtube before it was attacked by some viruses,when i flashed it,it came to its original software and now i am unable to watch online movies!please help me what should i do to enable video streaming on my phone?

The Nokia 111 is unfortunately not capable of playing streaming video from the web, so it will not play YouTube videos.
If your phone reports no available software then it means that you already have the latest version. Series 40 phones like these have a simple Java-based operating system into which changes cannot be made without the user's explicite consent, and so they are not subsceptible to viruses

Updating Nokia 5800 Software version

I am having difficulty in updating the software version of my Nokia 5800 Express music. I want to install map installer and heard that my software version has to be updated. I tried *#0000# but it asks me of the server profile. Yesterday i tried through the nokia ovi suit but it could not finish. the versio around 51.... was the one i was downloading. My current version is V21.2.025. Please help me, or even tell me how i can get the previous versions of Nokia Map installer other than v3

For the Nokia Software Updater, is there any error message before the application crashes? Does this happen all the time? Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the application?
Instead of using the Nokia Software Updater, I suggest using the Nokia Suite to update the device. You can download the application on this link:

You can check if it is available for your phone is if you connect your phone to ovi suite or nokia software updater and check for yourself.
If it is able to find an update available, you can just continue and update the phone yourself.

Nokia 5610 Hardware/Software bug ?????

Hi I own a nokia 5610 express music.
The phone had lots of bugs in earlier version like diplay not working properly and so on.... So I updated the software with version 9.41 .... now one bug which i had before software updation is still persisting.
The bug is that the fon's display goes off as if switching off and come back immediately this repeats in every 5 seconds.... in other words the fon's display is flickering with the frequeny of 5 seconds.....
Please advice for the solution...

After update, the issue of "when receive a call and the device is key locked, when you pick the phone it still shows that somebody calling in the screen, even after hanging up". we should reboot the phone.

You can't expect an update for your phone which was launched almost 3 years back. Anyways Symbian is in 'Maintenance Mode' which means no more major updates but only Bug fixes for the devices released much later ..

Nokia 5800 Software Version V31.0.101 failed to up...

Hi Nokia!
I purchased your Nokia 5800 Xpress Music mobile phone and I am trying to update the software/driver to improve 1: Touch Screen scrolling, 2: version of OviMaps, 3: Ovi Contacts, 4: SW application, and 5: WLAN performance.
I called technical support for mobile phones, unfortunately it is unavailable according to the recording, i've waited for i think its wrong, but nothing happened the call dropped.
The current software version is V31.0.101, Software version date: 16-09-2009, type: RM-356 and it does not upgrade. I have tried using my phone options to upgrade/update the software, this did not work, i have tried using the Nokia Software Updater but it can not find the new version of the software, and I have tried searching for the new software version by using my phone code under the battery and still it can not find the new software version.
Has anyone resolve this issue? I need help on resolving this issue.
Nokia any solution?

Mobile Issues
The phone touch screen is not very responsive.
Limited setting/shortcut you can set on the main screen.
Alarm is inconsistent. Sometimes it’s late.
Clock settings/time zone is not working properly.
The charger port on the phone is a bit loose. Charging gets interrupted even if there is only little movement.
Option is to update NOKIAs 5800 software. Current version is V31.0.101, the latest version is V40.0.005.
Nokia PC Suite / Nokia Software Updater cannot find the update
Tried to use the mobiles code, still cannot find the update
My mate has the same mobile NOKIA 5800 on a Virgin Mobile plan; he was able to update the software. I got images of his phone and my phone with different versions, mine was the old version his got the new 40.0.005 His mate has the same phone as well, which they manage to update the software. He tried helping me update the software, but ended up unable to update the software and got frustrated.
Option is to speak with TeleChoice Barrack Street. After TeleChoice checked the phone why it will not upgrade they suggested having the phone serviced/checked by Nokia Care in Morley.
I let Nokia have a look at the mobile/issue, they told me they will be able to update the software for me, I left my mobile with them, and after 3 business days and the going back and forth to Nokia, and they were unable to update the software. Very sadly, they said it’s being locked by Optus.
I am using 3 as my provider, the mobile I bought it outright from TeleChoice, no plan whatsoever. So I don’t understand why Nokia said it is being locked by Optus.
The option provided for me is to patiently wait for updates, which is available now or to return the product.
Now I am processing a replacement of the device from TeleChoice 10/02/03, hoping to have the issue rectified. They should rectify this, or there will be a violation againts fair trading.

Sometimes, it's better to help ourselves.
I re-installed Nokia S60 BlackBerry Connect 4.0 vers. 8.23.1 (.SISX, 2,89 MB) that was originally developed for E90 firmware 300.34.84.
Vers. 8.23.1 appears to also work (keeping my fingers crossed) well at the moment for emails synching, for the new firmware 400.34.93

I have to do try 2 times before the BlackBerry Connect 4.0 vers. 8.23.1 worked properly on my E90.
During the first time, after the firmware upgrade and re-installing the backup data (that was saved before the firmware upgrade) using Nokia Suite, I found that the backup process did not re-install the BB Connect 8.23.1 automatically. So I re-installed BlackBerry Connect 4.0 vers. 8.23.1 using Nokia PC Suite, then did an activation on the BB.
However, activation stalled at 88% completion and "freeze" up. By then, I see 2 BB inboxes in my Messaging > Folder view.
So I saved my emails in my Outlook on the local PC drive, and then deleted both the BB inboxes in my E90 (Messaging > Options > Delete). Then I go to Installations > app mgr > Options and deleted the BB application totally from my E90.
I re-installed the BB Connect 4.0 vers. 8.23., and did a new activation. [I am using BB Enterprise Server, so I have to get my IT support to re-initialise and give me the password each time i do this activation.] This time, it worked till 100% completion in synch my emails, contacts, calendar, etc.
In the past 6 hours, new emails on BB in my E90 have been coming in, and i was able to read and reply.
Hope this will continue, and the above info is helpful to others.
The new firmware appears to reduce the response time when you are using the E90. I feel the time between pressing a command key, e.g., Messaging or Calendar, till the screen changes display, is shorter now.
Key response time is now closer to I expect from a premium phone like E90.

Software version 081.004 bug in Nokia E5

I bought E5 14 days ago,when i bought the battery back up was good but since i have updated to new version:081.004,the battery does not last more than 1 day even in offline mode with no application running,no gps searching,no wifi search and on ppwer saving mode,,also despite having RAM of 250 MB it shows 168 MB,when i browsed hdwallpapers.in,the browser closed with an error'low memory'.What to do next,i have lost faith in Nokia.

I've been using Nokia E5-00, i found the phone pretty useful, i have updated its software atleast three times already without connecting it to PC, currently i'm using Software Version 081.004 and it seems to be working absolutely fine, i m from India and i have a Vodafone connection with me, I am an ardent user of mobile internet all the time and i m online almost always 24/7. I've got a 8 GB memory card in the phone which has given me ample space to install new softwares and other junk. I don't play on my phone though. I like to surf internet and use it for social networking. I have been using the phone for over a year now and i only found the phone slow sometimes when i've got more than 3 apps running at a time, but apart from it its a good phone GPS works absolutely fine, sound quality is ok, the price of the phone was a bit i thought but the phone is better than BLACKBERRY, I was going to buy BB before i got this phone i guess i could say i am 80% satisfied with the phone's performance.

Nokia suite does not show latest software version

Today while browzing Nokia site happened to see new phone software version. When I checked through Nokia suite it was showing the software version that was already installed in the phone.
Do anybody else who own a 701 came across this anamoly
