Software won't download on my mac

My mac air wont download new software it downloads for about an hour or two then says it can not download at this time. Can anyone help?

Manually download the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo and it will install the MAS. It should be safe to install over the top of your current installation.

Yes, I can log in. I installed it one more time and it finally installed, but now all the templates are in Latin. Can I change that somehow? Thanks
That's placeholder text and it's only purpose is to display the style. To change it, just click on it and start typing.

  • New itunes won't download on my mac

The new update for itunes won't download on my mac. It says that it is not compatible with my operating system. I just want to put music on my IPHONE 5!!!!!

iTunes 10.7 or newer requires at least Mac OS X 10.6.8. If you're running Mac OS X 10.5.8 or earlier, click here and buy the DVD.

  • 10.5.2  software won't download to my computer  what do i do?

10.5.2 software won't download to my computer what do i do?

Do one ore more of the following:
    > Restart You Computer
    > Uninstall & Reinstall iTunes
    > Reset your Device (won't delete anything)
    > Go to My Computer (Windows XP) OR Computer (Windows Vista & 7) and see if your computer reconizes your iPod.
    You said:
the ipod and cord are new and undamaged.
Problems like that happens. If time to the new cable to read your iPod (don't ask why). If it charges from AC, it should work on your computer.

  • Desktop Software won't download device updates?

    Hi,
I recently bought a BB Torch and would like to add more language supports via the Desktop Software (ver. 6). However, the installer won't go past the back up phase as the update window immediately closes upon entering the 'downloading device software' phase. I have more than 200MB remaining memory in my phone and the software is up to date. The desktop software won't apply changes to any other applications either.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

    Hi pokexpress,
Try performing a manual backup of your BlackBerry using the Backup feature in BlackBerry Desktop Manager first.  Then, when doing the upgrade, de-select the backup option.

Download and installation help for Adobe links
Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages.  They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3.  If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'.
    or dl directly from prodesigntools.com:
if you follow all 7 steps you can directly download a trial here:  Download Adobe CS6 Trials: Direct Links (no Assistant or Manager) | ProDesignTools
and activate with your serial number.
if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version.

  • Hi- I am trying to download music to my ipod from my computer. I have an itunes account and the music is on my computer but won't download to the ipod. It is telling me I need to download software but for some reason the software won't download.

Hi- I am trying to download music from my computer to my ipod. I have an itunes account and the music is on the computer but it won't go to ipod, it keeps telling me I need to download an upgrade but the upgrade does not complete itself and after like 2 hours displays an error sign. How do I fix this so I can get the music to my ipod. Both ipod and computer(toshiba, windows 7) are brand new. Help!! I am not technologically smart!

I suspect that you are saying that you can't download/install the latest version of iTunes.
All I can say is try removing and reinstalling the Apple software using the following:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
If you have further problems with installing Itunes I suggest you post in the iTunes forum since you have an iTunes problem, not an iPod problem.  Also report the wording of any error messages. What they say is importent on resolving them.

  • FF4 won't download on my MAC OS 10.4.11 laptop

When I go through the download procedure, the FF icon appears with a circle and line through it. Obviously, double clicking on that icon does not open the browser.

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. There is a third party version of Firefox 4 that runs on OS X 10.4/10.5 and PPC Macs, for details see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox
If you prefer, you can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
Mozilla are working to prevent Mac users with non-compatible systems from getting the notification about Firefox 4, and also not displaying the "Download Firefox 4" button on http://www.mozilla.com

  • Itunes 7 won't download on my Mac

I purchased the 7th generation ipod and it will only work with the most recent Itunes, When I go to instal the most recent Itunes on my Mac it won't allow me to install? What do I do?

Choose About this Mac from the Apple menu and check the processor.
If it's a PowerPC Mac, it can't run an iTunes version newer than 10.6.3.
If it's an Intel Mac, click here, install the DVD, and run Software Update twice.

  • The new Firefox won't download on my Mac OS 10.5.8; when I downloaded it, there was a circle with a line thru it on top of the Firefox icon.

When I go to the Firefox website it says that unfortunately the latest version of Firefox is not compatible with my computer's operating system. How can I get an older compatible version?

    * Download a new copy of the Firefox program: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
    * Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re)install.
    * Install the new version that you have downloaded.

  • Podcasts created on a PC won't download to my Mac

I'm turning to the discussions in desperation. I thought of replying to the topic "Podcasts and the dreaded exclamation point" because I have similar frustrations but this is really a new topic.
My website developer, using a PC, has created a podcast from tracks supplied to him by me as mp3s. The tracks are voice broadcasts imported into iTunes as mp3s with the AAC encoder.
These mp3s absolutely refuse to download as podcast episodes -- I got the "unknown error occured (400)" message and dreaded exclamation mark every time. I converted them to mp3 with the mp3 encoder. Again a negative result. I then converted one to AIFF which my developer converted to mp3. Positive result at last!
To save him time I converted the remaining 19 episodes to AIFF and then from AIFF to mp3 using iTunes (7.0.2). Negative result.
I'm now running iTunes 7.1. Still a negative result + the same error message.
Developer and I have spent a huge amount of time on this problem. There's some bug and/or something incompatible here and I've sent feedback to Apple about it. I feel sure the bug is in iTunes because ALL the podcast episodes my developer has created work on PCs.
Why don't they work on Macs (mine and others we have tried)??
    So grateful for any ideas.

Mac mini Mac OS X (10.4.8)

yes, I did. But then every time I go download the music -all of which is purchased-, it either doesn't allow it all together, or says there's an error.

Backup all important files before upgrading
Checked to see how much space is available ??
Click your Apple menu  top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac > More Info > Storage
