Software would not recognise printer

I am running OS X 10.9.4 in a MacBook Pro, Photoshop CC, and a Canon printer MG8220. I have installed the plug in Easy-PhotoPrint Pro that is advertised at the Canon site as fully supporting that printer. When I automate the plug in from Photoshop it does not work, allegedly because it does not support the printer. It may be be that in fact this is the case but Canon people insists in the compatibility. I have come to think that it may be a matter of drivers, but I have failed to determine unambiguously which one is driving the printer. First of all, I would like to know if anyone has gone through a similar experience. Then, where can I check the drivers and/or replace them? Although this a matter between one hardware and two softwares clearly not Apple, maybe some one can give me a clue. Thanks in advance...

The reset will not help. Your issue is that you have added the printer using the AirPrint driver (yes Greg, another AirPrint driver issue). This will cause you to get the printer not supported message in the EPP Pro plugin as shown.
So open Printers & Scanners and either remove this MG8220 printer that is using the AirPrint driver or create a new printer, but this time you need to ensure you use the MG8200 series driver.
To do that, when you are in Printers & Scanners and select the plus button, don't select the MG82xx in this Nearby Printers list (assuming that it appears). In the example below, you can see the MG6200 series. Selecting this will add the printer using Apple's AirPrint driver.
Instead, click on the Add Printer or Scanner text at the top to make the Default Add printer view appear. Note also that if the Nearby Printers window does not appear you will get the Add printer window shown below.
In the image above, you want to select the MG82xx that is shown as USB Multifunction or Canon IJ Network. This will select the MG82xx driver in the Use menu - assuming you do have it installed. If you select the entry that shown as Bonjour Multifunction, then the Use menu will automatically select the AirPrint driver and this is not compatible with the EPP Pro plugin.

BT Home Hub 5 not recognising print server

Decided to approach the forum as I have run out of ideas for fixing this problem.
I originally had a BT Home Hub 3 which worked fine with my HP Designjet 500ps plus using using a wireless HP Jetdirect EW2400 print server. I then upgraded to BT Infinity using a BT Home Hub 5 that's when my problems started.
The hub does not recognise the print server in wireless mode so the following is what I tried to no avail:
1. The printer setup was updated for the new hub online (192.168.1.75) for new SSID.
2. Reset hub.
3. Print server confirmed transmitting.
BT Home Hub Manager
4. Re-configured for Ch 11 and 12, preferred Designjet channel.
5. Changed 2.4ghz & 5ghz to different SSID names.
6. Unsync 2.4ghz & 5ghz.
7. Disabled 5ghz.
8. Tried Port Forwarding to allow access.
9. AVG Anti-Virus elminated from possible problem.
10. Ping confirmed 192.168.1.75 inaccessable.
The good point, I can plot using network cable but trailing it through the house to the large plotter is not desireable!
There must be someone else out there with the same plotter and problem so if someone could help it would much
appreciated.

LaserJet Pro MFP M276nw software installer not detecting printer via USB or wi-fi - Windows 7

I am trying to install a LaserJet Pro MFP M276nw on Windows 7 Home Premium x64, and I know the printer functions fine, as I have installed it on both Windows Vista Basic x32 and Windows 7 Professional x64 all on the same desktop. The operating system has been changed a couple of times, hence the multiple installs.
I downloaded the full featured software from HP.com and went through the routine of installation as per usual, except that now the software doesn't detect the printer when it requests that I connect it via USB. Trying to install via wi-fi doesn't work because the printer still needs to be attached via USB in order to create the proper wireless handshake. Windows 7 detects the printer, and in-fact installed the drivers for it automatically. However, the printer installation software suite does not respond to the printer being connected, and just hangs there, waiting for it to appear.
I have tried multiple USB ports and it's the same issue. I've installed the basic driver also available for download on HP.com, but that software does not appear to include an option for scanning files to the computer. The printer itself will scan to email or to to a USB thumb drive, and even to a network folder, but not directly onto the computer. If it wasn't a necessary function of an all-in-one printer, I wouldn't bother with the scanning feature and simply make do with the basic printer driver.
Anyone have some sort of idea regarding this issue?

I see that you are having issues with setting up the printer on the one computer. I would like to help you out today.
I would uninstall the software, turn off the Startup programs, Antivirus software and update the driver during the install by the post I have provided.
Disconnect the USB cable.
Uninstall the software.
Here are the steps to run the uninstall from the computer or the CD.
To uninstall from program files:
Touch the Windows key and the E key to access the computer window.
Select the C drive.
Select program files or program files x86.
Open the HP and printer name folder.
Select uninstall.
Uninstall the software from the CD:
Touch the Windows key and the E key to access the computer window. Right click on the CD for the printer, left click open in a new window, double click on uninstall.
I would disable all the start up programs and temporarily turn off the Antivirus Software to see if there is a program interfering in the back ground. How to use MSCONFIG . Click on the start up tab and click disable all.
Download, save and then run the latest drivers. Don't Connect the USB cable until prompted during the install.
HP LaserJet Full Feature Software and Driver.
Right after connecting the USB cable, follow this document immediately. A Fatal Error Displays During Software Installation. Disregard the title. If the printer stays listed properly, don't worry about updating the driver.
Test the printer.
Then you will have to go back and enable the Startup programs and turn the Antivirus Software back on again.

Hi, I opened my new ipod 4th generation and had a play with it to initially find & install the amazon audible which I had been told was easy. Anyway I did it so I thought I would have a play with itunes. It regognized all my tracks and I managed to buy an album which I could not find in 'music'. I had to play each tarck, one at at time while they were recognised in history.
While on my laptop I tried to install my tracks but nothing happaened. I was asked to update which I did & then my ipod locked. I've turned it off but when I switch it back on iget a picture of a USB cable pointing to itunes. Logically I thought thaht meant connect to itunes, itunes woud not recognise it and gave a 3014 error.
I have a brand new ipod that is useless, i Feel useless like I am doing somthing wrong. Strange thing is I upgraded from a Philipps GoGear Connect which has bad reviews but at least I could listen to my music, play games and use audible.
Has anyone got any ideas. It was purchased through Amazon/

Having problems with a friends newish mac. It will not recognise cd's (not sure if that is all cd's). I am trying to install a new printer but m/c will not recognise installation disc.

Desktop software is not recognising my blackberry

Please help
After intalling and re installing Blackberry Desktop software many many times it is still not recognising my blackberry curve 8520, I am running off of OSX 10.6.8
Everytime I go to install it syas that another blackberry software has been detected but I have removed all programmes from prvious times, can it be somewhere hidden that I need to find and delete th appropiate files??
I feel that when I installed pocket mac sometime ago it is now causing this issue....

IPOD New Software - iPOD Not Recognised.

Today I successfully updated iTunes as I have done many times and this seems to have worked OK. However, for the first time I was prompted to update my iPOD software as well. After several of the usual green bars I was told that the update was successful but everything then just hung for a long time (most of a one day cricket match!!! and that is a looong time). Closed down iTunes and pulled the plug. Then iPOD didn't work at all. I have tried reloading iTunes and restoring iPOD but the same happens. Now iTUNES won't even recognise that my iPOD exists although it appears as a removable drive (not an iPOD) in Windows Explorer. Anybody out there have any ideas. I have pretty much exhausted all the Support suggestions.

Thanks for the interest Vic. I had already gone through all of the 5 stages from this support page but the restore stage seems to have left my iPod in a damaged state. Occasionally iTunes recognises this and offers to go through restore again but then hangs afterwards. The odd thing is that before, Windows recognised it as an iPod but now just calls it a removable disk. This is currently the only way I can unplug it. IPod seems to operate as normal but obviously is less useful with nothing in it! Any further ideas would be really appreciated.

MacBook Pro not recognising printer and printer list empty

my MacBook Pro isn't recognising my printer. This happened before Yosemite update. I looked in the printer list and my printer was the only one there. On advice I deleted it and tried to re add it. There are no printers in the list to click on. I have a canon MP280. I upgraded to Yosemite and still no luck.
i Also wanted to ask if my printer can be attached to a BT home hub.

I just restored my iphone to factory seeting because itunes would not recognise it because of some error, and as such i later restored my data but found that all my contacts and pictures had not been restored,

Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer and in a restore are synced back from that application. Pictures, located in the Camera Roll are intended to be imported to the computer for safe keeping. When restoring, they should be restored from the backup, however if you do not restore from a backup, then they would be lost if not imported to the computer. Pictures that have been synced to the iPhone via iTunes should still be located on the computer, since that is where they come from.

Ovi software does not recognise blootooth

I’ve just got a new PC which appears to be compatible with Nokia's requirements for Bluetooth connectivity for Ovi Suite. I am very disappointed, I can only connect through USB cable. I have no problem connecting the PC with Nokia and other devices and I am pretty confident there is nothing wrong with the hardware and software, however in Ovi software the Bluetooth connection appears to be disabled.
I have also tried PS suite 7.1 with the same outcome.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I suspect this is a software failure and Nokia would eventually release an upgrade to sort this out.

Download the latest pc suite cuz i don't think 7.1.41 supports 64 bit windows to detect bluetooth.

Windows does not recognise my iphone after updating the software to 4.3

Drivers for my iphone does not have Software since i downloaded the 4.3 update, it is telling me to insert a disk and I do not have one.. Please help, I'm desperate. Phone does not restart or turn off, it continuously shows the the message where to connect the usb lead to itunes, but it is not recognised.

Can anyone tell me how to reset the phone, i press the home key and the off switch together, the apple logo comes up, but it still tells me to connect to itunes but there the software is not recognised.

Adobe X Standard not recognising scanner

I've just installed AcrobatX Standard and in the installation it will not recognise my network scanner and has stopped all other programmes recognising the scanner too! Can anyone help?

Thanks for your reply and sorry I've been a while getting back but I've been trying to sort this out. Here is the story so far:
1. I had an old version of Adobe 5 on my laptop running well but complaining each time I opened it that the software wasn't right for Windows 7 which is my operating system (even though it always scanned and opened documents fine)
2. I decided to update so I installed Adobe X Standard onto Windows 7 and it seemed to corrupt the printer driver and would not recognise any printer. The printer is on my network and wired into the router with a cable but the network operates wirelessly. None of my other software which uses the scanner would recognise it waas there either.
3. I decided to try and install the driver again which I've done. Now the other software recognises the scanner but only with the printer selection as TWain. I've tried Acrobat X with TWain setting and it does recognise the scanner but seems to scan via the HP driver which takes an age, whereas Acrobat 5 which is still on my machine will scan from Acrobat without the Twain setting.
Any help will be welcome.

IPhone 3GS not recognising sim card????

I recently upgraded from an iPhone 3GS to an iPhone 4. As I had bought the phone from Orange I was able to keep it and had planned to give it to my daughter to use. Before handing the phone over to her, I deleted all the information on it. I can't remember how I did this, but it was built into the iPhone menu and left the phone, just as it was when I first bought it, asking for configuration, language settings, enable locations settings etc., The iPhone was working BRILLIANTLY before this and I had never ever experienced any problems with it at all.
My daughter is now the not so proud owner of my old 3GS, she can not use it. She has put her Orange Sim Card (contract) from her "old phone" into the 3GS and it is not saying "No Sim Card". I have also tried to connect this 3GS with iTunes and the iPhone emblem is visible in the menu on the left hand side of the screen, but when you click on this emblem it throws up a similar message saying the does not have a sim card in it (when I know it does because I put it in there).
I have spoken to the iPhone support at Orange who had me doing various things in trying out various Orange sim cards within the 3GS and it would not recognise any of them. The support guy got me to carry out a "software" reset (by pression the home button and on/off button at the same time), the sim card was still not recognised. His final words were, it's got to be the phone and you warranty has run out. He seems to think it is a software problem....
I had recently updated the IOS to 5.0.
Can anyone offer any explanation as to what may have gone wrong, has my old faithful 3GS just had enough or is it something that I could have done to "bugger it up".
All ideas or explanations appreciated.

If Apple have provided their customers with Software that, basically "buggers up their phones", what are they doing about it.
Surely we could be making some sort of claim against them.................I now have an iPhone 3GS that's only use is as a door stop, or maybe a paperweight (as a result of their so say, software bug). On the last occassion that I synced my 3GS I was informed that there was an update, so I updated it. There was nothing on this update saying "if you are the owner of a 3GS, IOS 5 is not compatible with this software, so our advice to you as a loyal customer of ours is do not update your phone as you won't be able to use it afterwards". Too much to ask for really!!
