I have Installed Web center suite 11.1.1.2 on my Machine. Can anybody suggests, what are the softwares that i need to install inorder to achieve
Oracle SSO with E-Business Suite and OBIEE.

Oracle Identity Management (OIM) is a collection of related products that provides identity and access management (IAM) services. These products includes

OIM and IAM is always create confusion when you go to their download page. You need to download Identity Management (11.1.1.2.0) from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/downloads/oid-11g-161194.html. OIM will give you following products when you install it:-
- OID
- OVD
- Oracle Identity Federation
- Oracle Directory Integration Platform

The JCR adpater can be configured against Oracle Content Server(UCM), file system and Oracle Portal. This gives you only the read feature on the repository. However the web center frame work also provides you the Document Library Task flows with both Read/Write capabilities and other capabilities like recent documents, search etc. The task flows can also customized to suit your UI requirements as well. In addition to this there is a content presenter Task flow available where Business Users can display formatted content from UCM on web center page. This is similar to the content presenter portlet available inside WLP.

Fall back systemwhen multiple SAP systems trying to acheive SSO with BOEXI

Friends,
I need a small clarification on ' SSO between BOE XI 3.1 and SAP BI 7' Scenario,
Say when multiple users log on through their SAP EP Portals or Netwever Portals, they use their tokens generated by their respective EP portals which are passed through the 'Web application server' hosting BOE environment.
1) When its a Single EP portal , we can have have a fall back system. when we register its logical name in the CMC of BOE Environment , a typical SNC.But what's the fall back system for multiple SAP systems?
2) Also Whether there are any pit falls via token method when more than one SAP system communicating to BOE?
3) Do we have any documentation for this?

the normal scenario for SSO is the following:
When you said ''back end system ', i did not get it.
Enterprise Portal -
(iView)-------> BOE -
> SAP BI <- This is your backend system
Well Could I define more than one logical name there in SNC tab of CMC.?
I assume you have the following situation:
(EP1, EP2, EP3) -
> BOE -
> (SAP BI 1, SAP BI 2, SAP BI n)
You can define more than one entitlement systems in the BOE CMC and also configure for each one of them for SNC. Please note that we are talking about server trust and NOT client trust here. It is all about letting your sap system and the boe system trust each other. If you have your portal with client SNC configured (ie. the user logs using a certificate and an SAP logon ticket is created) it is NOT necessary to configure SNC in the CMC (Please refer to the section "Configuring SAP Server-Side Trust" in the installation guide for the integration kit for SAP) side.
Back to the SSO scenario now: When a user connects from an enterprise portal on the BOE system the logon ticket, generated from the portal, is forwarded to the back-end system, which is defined in the portal iView the user is currently navigating through. If it is a Crystal Enterprise iView then you just have to select the appropriate system alias of your back-end system in the System drop down menu when creating the iView. For URL iViews you must utilize the relevant openDocument parameters. If you do not define anything at all when creating the iView then BOE tries to authenticate the logon ticket against the SAP BI system you selected to be the default one in the "Authentication->SAP->Options" tab of the CMC.
If what you want is just to distribute the load between your SAP back-end systems then you should consider utilizing an SAP cluster for your pursposes. As explained before BOE will not distribute the requests evenly on the back-end systems. It will try to contact either the system defined in the request (iView) or the default system. To be honest I am not sure what happens if the explicitely defined system is not available but I think that an error message is what you should expect then. I do not think that in this case the BOE system tries to use the system defined as default.
Another part is what kind of security is defined in BEX querys..as i read from SAP IK guide, we can import all the roles which are defined at ABAB level.
Will there be any security threats to SAP data via this method.
It is true that you can import all roles in your BOE system. But keep the following four things in mind:
1) You can restrict on the BOE side the users which are authorized to logon in the CMC and import the roles (normally only the BOE administrator is authorized to do this)
2) Importing a role means that an SAP user can try to logon the BOE. Still the logon process can only be succesfull only if the SAP user has special authorization on the SAP side (Please check the Appendix "Authorizations" in the installation guide of the integration Kit for SAP.
3) You can restrict the access to data by assigning authorizations only for specific infoareas/infoproviders. In order to partially restrict data access in a given infoprovider (e.g infocube or multiprovider) you can utilize authorization variables in your BW query.
4) You can further restrict access on specific reports either on the BOE side or on the portal side (by rstricting access to the defined iViews).
For sure you must invest some time to define and implement your security concept.
More over could you please answer other 2 questions in my original question.

2) As long as your portals, the back-end systems and your BOE system are configured correctly for SSO this should not be a problem. Well just a tip based on my experience: be sure to use full qualified domain names for your systems in the iView definitions. And do not forget SSO works only if all systems are in the same domain.
3) As said in my previous posting the netweaver documentation regadring SSO setup maybe interesting for you. As far as I know the multiple systems scenario is not contained explicitely in any official BOBJ documentation. I assume that you already went through the installation guide for the integration kit for SAP.
Please tell me if you have a completely different scenario in mind

Does Webcenter Capture which comes with Webcenter Suite 11.1.1.8 has any conflict with SOA server

I have a weblogic Domain with Weblogic version 10.2.6. It has following managed servers installed:
SOA Server/ UCM/ IBR/ URM/ IRM/ IPM/ WC_Utilities/ WC_Spaces/ WC_Portlet/ WC_Collaboration.
All of these Servers have been upgraded to 11.1.1.8.
I wanted to extend this domain to include Webcenter Capture as well. But the moment after i extend this domain. SOA server fails to start.
All the SOA applications that i used to see in EM are no more visible.
Does anybody has any idea about this?

But I'm not speaking about Imaging. Imaging (IPM) is already present in my domain. I'm extending the domain with Capture Server.
And It really looks like there is some sort of conflict between Capture Server and existing SOA Server because:
1] Before Extending the Domain with capture server, I start the Admin Server, I log in to the EM Console and I see all the SOA Applications listed there.
2] After Extending the Domain with capture server, I start the admin server. Then 1st thing I start after this is soa server (as you said). This fails. And in the EM console I no more see SOA Applications.
What I can conclude from this is, there could possibly a conflict between soa and capture servers when capture server is installed on existing soa server (may not be the case if soa is installed later.)

Need to pair phone with Nokia Suite again and agai...

I own an XpressMusic 5310 which is paired over Bluetooth both with my home and work PCs, both running Nokia Suite 3.7.22.
Most of the time, when the phone comes in range of the PC, Nokia Suite reconnects to the phone automatically.
But quite often this doesn't take place, I have to to "Add new phone", and go through the pairing sequence again (which always works).
How comes?
How do I fix this problem?

I think you have two desktop PCs.
If yes, then I think you are using a common bluetooth dongle for two different PCs.
So it is forcing you to pair again once you change the PC.
Is that correct?

SES crawling CDB coming with Webcenter Suite (bug 5851494)

Hi all,
I'm preparing a demo and ran into difficulties crawling a 10.1.3.2 CDB store with SES 10.1.8. I've seen a statement in bug 5851494 whereby CDB 10.1.3.2 ist not supported with a 10.1.8 crawling. I thought that would be helpful to address this topic in the OWCS space since Content DB is used from the WebCenter installation. Can anyone please verify the statement of bug 5851494 ?

currently SES 10.1.8 can only crawl CDB using S2S security. CDB 10.1.3.2 uses web services security (WSS).
we are working on a crawler that is able to use WSS to index CDB.
as an alternative you could use CDB 10.2 which provide S2S and can be crawled by SES 10.1.8.
we will keep you updated.

HP Director software needed for new computer with windows 8

I have a Deskjet 5510 and went from Windows XP to a new computer with Windows 8 (64 bit). The driver installed when I plugged the printer in, but I haven't been able to find HP Director to install. I tried to do an install from the website, but it just told me that the driver was already installed correctly. The Director is a pretty important piece of the printer, can I get it back?

Hi, due to the age of the printer HP does not support 5510 in Win8.

I am using ucm10gr3 and want to implement sso with my web application running on wls, I don't have OAM, I need to implment sso with ucm by my code, reading the following statement in metalink:
REMOTE_USER is a computed Common Gateway Interface (CGI) variable that is used by the web server to indicate that the current acting request has been successfully authenticated as acting as the user identified by the value of this CGI variable. Getting the web server to set this variable for you is highly dependent on the particular APIs and data structures available in that web server. This may also require some customization and code be written within the web server, such as a custom web server plugin. This should not require additional code or components to be written on the UCM side.
In other words, This is not specially a content server configuration issue. If you can get any standard 3rd party web application (such as PHP -- for example a Wiki application) to get the SSO solution to work using standard webserver authentication techniques and doing nothing special in the application, then it should work without needing any additional UCM specific code.
All web servers have a built in understanding that the current request can act at the behest of a particular user. When web servers execute CGI applications, such as PHP, the standard CGI specification specifies that this user name be used to populate a parameter called REMOTE_USER. The mechanism by which this parameter is propagated to the script or plugin that is executing the request tends to be implementation specific. This parameter can be picked up by the CS web server plug-in.
Per my understanding, I need to use CGI to produce a variable named REMOTE_USER, and save username in it, but I am not a CGI guy, who can give me a demo for this?
Or is there any other solution to implement sso with ucm?

Is there an specific date in which the Oracle WebCenter Suite will be released for evaluation on OTN? I know it says November 2006 in the FAQ, but just interested if it will be early or later in the month?

You are correct, it says this calendar year, so, do you have any idea between now and the end of the year? As far as releasing on OTN, this is what is said.....
Oracle WebCenter Suite is part of Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3. When released, it will be available for download from OTN, and Oracle WebCenter Suite CDs will be included in the Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 media pack.
So, maybe the important question is when is Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3.2.0) going to be released with WebCenter Suite on OTN?

Using FTP with Content DB ni Webcenter Suite

Hi All,
Is it possible to use the FTP protocol in ContentDB version 10.1.3.2 (The one in WebCenter Suite) ?
I'd like to upload files and folders with BPEL 10.1.3.1 into this ContentDB.
I am not able to find the FtpServerConfiguration in the ApplicationServerControl.

Charu,
I found the solution, but not how I wanted it.
It is explained to me that the 10.1.3.2 Webcenter version contains a "stripped" ContentDB version. And as you can imagine FTP is one of thos stripped parts, thus not available in this one.
Therefor I took the step back and installed the seperate ContentDB 10.2.0
With this everything worked fine.

if u hv the mobile wd u and u r able to switch on ur mobile and also hear the startin tune.. U can attach the phone to pc and sync using ovi suite.. U DONOT need to select the connection mode.. It gets selected by default if u start the ovi suite..
