SOI  I_OI_SPREADSHEET and Excel 2013

Hello
We have made some programs using the type pool SOI and the library  I_OI_SPREADSHEET to generate report in excel files.
Of course, we used office 2010 for the display and now we are testing the programs with Office 2013.
The data do not appear in a Excel 2013 spreadsheet.
Is there anyone who faced the same problem and found a solution ?
any information will be appreciated.
Regards
Emmanuel

Hello.
I have found the solution.
When using the DOI library, we need to deactivate the inplace option of function modules:
CALL METHOD control->init_control
CALL METHOD document->open_document

  • Adobe 11 Add-in and Excel 2013

I can't get the Adobe 11 Add-in to show up in the Excel 2013 tool bar.

    Hi Curley4301,
Please check if Acrobat Add-In is enabled in Excel 2013 by following the below mentioned steps:-
Click the File tab, click Options, and then click the Add-Ins category.
In the Manage box, click COM Add-ins, and then click Go. The COM Add-Ins dialog box appears.
In the Add-Ins available box, select the check box next to the  Acrobat PDFMaker Office add-in and then click OK.
Tip    If the add-in that you want to use is not listed in the Add-Ins available box, click Add, and then locate the add-in.

If the document contains corrupt or invalid links, follow the methods below to solve the issue:
Method 1: Save Your Word Document as Rich Text Format
Method 2: Save Your Word Document as a Web Archive
Method 3: Test for Invalid Object Links
Method 4: Paste the Problem Object as a Picture
Method 5: Recreate the Microsoft Equation Object
If you are running the Bgmail utility, edit the Winstart.bat file or the Autoexec.bat file, and place a semicolon (;) at the beginning of the Bgmail.exe line to temporarily turn it off. Save and close the file, and then restart Windows and run ScanDisk.

  • ProClarity Web Professional and Excel 2013

    Hi
I've recently installed Excel 2013 Professional Plus and I've noticed a slight change in behaviour between ProClarity and Excel when Export to Excel is used.
When I export to Excel two Excel workbooks seems to open - 1 called Book1.xlsx is simply an empty workbook, the second one contains the data that has been exported from ProClarity. Unfortunately since I installed Excel 2013, then workbook which appears in
front is the blank workbook. When I had Excel 2010 installed, the workbook with exported data appeared as the front window.
We are about to embark on an Excel 2013 rollout and I know this will generate calls with our ProClarity users.
Any ideas why this is happening and how to resolve?
    Regards,
    Katherine

Another breakthrough with this case is that when you install Office Web Apps SP1 this will enable you to open the OneNote from Apple Tablets or Android Tablets.
One More thing is that Android Tablets does not support opening the sharepoint site by the server name only ie http://servername/ you need to add the domain at the end like this http://servername.domain.local/ and in order to open the onenote on tablet you
need when creating the wac farm to add the domain in the command
    New-OfficeWebAppsFarm –InternalUrl http://webappservername.adjd.local –AllowHttp –EditingEnabled

  • Ctrl+Tab and Ctrl+F6 still not working in Excel 2013?

I am using Windows 7 64-bit. I just switched to Office Home & Business 2013 (32-bit), and I discovered that ctrl+tab behavior in Excel 2013 is incredibly broken.
If you are using any other programs concurrently with Excel, then it makes switching tasks through ctrl+tab impossible. Switching workbooks in this way has unpredictable behavior: often, Excel will switch to a workbook that is hidden behind other windows
(fails to foreground the window correctly). Even when it appears to be switching appropriately between windows, the order of switching is wrong: rather than cycling through all windows, it seems to switch between workbooks somewhat randomly.

There does not appear to be any solution to this issue so far. I have attempted to repair my installation of Microsoft Office, but it did not correct the problem.

    Hi Dlup12345,
Based on my testes with local environment (Windows 8.1 and Excel 2013:15.0.4675.1000), the two Keyboard shortcuts worked as expected. In my view, this issue might be occur with Keyboard shortcuts, because you said the issue occurred intermittently. If we
only open multiple Excel files without other program, the shortcuts should worked fine. Please check if other program affected Excel shortcuts.
If you have any update, please feel free let us know.

  • Date and Cost formats in export toward Excel (2013)

    Hi,
I'm trying to export Start date and Cost of my project tasks to Excel:
    File/Save as/ Excel Workbook...
but all these date and cost data arrive in Excel with Text format. With the 2003 version, date and cost formats were well recognized.
I'm using Project 2013 English and Excel 2013 English on a French Win 7.
What are the settings (decimal separator...) which are needed to allow this feature ?
    Thanks

    Hi Julie,
    Thanks for your help.
The "Convert to Number" feature works fine for the Cost.
But the dates arrive as text with a long format such as "03 August 2015 08:00" and the  =DateValue(Cell
reference) function returns an error : #VALUE!
Any idea to retrieve the dates?
    Thanks again

  • SSAS Tabular Model and browse with MS Excel 2013

I have a tabular model, It has an attribute with datatype and data format as "whole number". When I browse the model from excel and add label filter, it
    does not work as expected.
When I specify greater than 180 as label filter, It gives following output:
My guess is that it is just filtering on first two digits "18" and not "180". When I copy these values in a excel sheet and create pivot table on top of it, hell it works fine.

  • Automatic Linking from Excel 2013 to Word 2013 not working.

I use Word and Excel to create reports about certain real estate properties.  When I have a new job, I just rename the old files and continue working.  I also have active links from Excel into Word that are set to automatically update.  I
used to use Office 2003 and all worked fine.  Now in 2013, after I rename and convert the files to the 2013 file formats, the links do not update automatically.  Here are my steps:
    1. Copy the 2003 Excel and Word files to a new folder (these files link properly, where if I make a change in Excel 2003 it automatically flows to Word 2003)
    2. Rename the Excel and Word files to the new job name and convert them to 2013 file formats.
    3. Open the now 2013 Word file and do not update Excel links (as it is still linked to old 2003 file).
    4. Break all links in Word 2013 to the Excel 2003 files.
    5. Insert new active Hyperlinks in Word 2013 to the Excel 2013 files making sure that it is set to "automatic updates".
HOWEVER, now the links will NOT automatically update.  If I have both Word and Excel 2013 files open and make changes in Excel, you do not see them in Word.  You have to right click on the area and choose "Update
Links".  Is there anywhere else that controls the automatic update features?

    Hi,
I actually can reproduce this problem on one Office 2013 machine, but on the other machine with Office 2013, it automatically updates the link as it should.
You can create a new Word document and a new Excel file, copy the content from the old files to the new files, re-create the link, check if the link can automatically update.

  • Excel 2013 Standalone - Power Pivot Plug-in not visible or available for activation

    Dear Microsoft Team
According to your blog, the Excel 2013 standalone SKUs have now been updated to include Power Pivot and Power View.  (follow this link: http://blogs.technet.com/b/the_microsoft_excel_support_team_blog/archive/2013/02/27/unable-to-use-excel-2010-powerpivot-workbooks-in-excel-2013.aspx)
I've just bought Excel 2013 standalone (non-commercial, SKU AAA-01350) from the MS Store and cannot see either Power Pivot or Power View among the list of the COM Add-ins available. The corresponding sections don't appear in the Excel ribbon.
Are you aware of any glitches in the Office 2013 installation logic that might have caused such a problem? My PC runs Windows 8 (32-bit), with both Office 2010 and Excel 2013 Standalone installed.
    Thanks

    Hi Ron
Thanks for your prompt reply. Unfortunately, that didn't make much difference. I had a dialog shown to me reading the following:
Update for Microsoft Excel 2013 (KB2817425): There are no products affected by this package installed on this system.
I've since done some digging around and there seem to be other accounts of the newly updated Excel 2013 Standalone not installing Power Pivot. Here is the link (scroll all the way down, to the most recent comments):

  • SharePoint 2007 Export to Excel 2010 or Excel 2013 Fails to Export All Fields in All Items View

    Hi All,
When I am trying to export the SharePoint View from SharePoint site to Spreadsheet (Excel 2013), I am able not able to export the the whole data, I'm missing some numerical columns from being displayed in Excel
I have Infopath form (2007) published on SharePoint Site and I am using MOSS 2007 and Excel 2013. My form has only 20 or so fields and the rest are fields I generated in the form library to do several other calculations. I have already 73 columns
displayed which should be exported to Excel, need help

    Hi,
As per your post, I understand “Excel cannot connect to the SharePoint list” is thrown out in Excel 2010 when exporting the external list in SharePoint 2013. We are able to export the external list to Excel 2013.
This issue does not occur on the standard lists.
I am able to reproduce the issue and it could be a potential issue in SharePoint 2013.
We will log this issue to our suggestion box. As after the submission, we may not have any time guarantee when the fix may be released, but it may come out on next cumulative update.
    Appreciate your time and efforts.

  • Excel 2013 crashes when trying to open existing worksheets from previous versions of Excel

    Hello
I have windows 8 and Excel 2013 on my system. I need to access previously created worksheets (in older versions of Excel), however, when I attempt to open them the Excel crashes.
The is not what I expected from getting the latest version. I telephoned Microsoft who advised that there was a compatabilty problem with no work around at this stage.
I found that the only way round it was to use an (download free) alternative non-Microsoft program
http://www.openoffice.org/ and copy into the 2013 Excel as a new worksheet. A little disappointing after purchasing the Excel .
Have I got this wrong or is there a Microsoft solution to this issue???

    Hi,
    Try the following steps:
Open Excel 2013, and go to
File –> Options –> Trust Center.
    Under
Trust Center settings, select Protected View and
    uncheck all options under it.
Restart the Excel 2013 to check the issue.

  • Excel 2013 connect to a cube, and Power View concatenate the column name by default

    Hi Guys,
Currently, we met a problem with excel services to connect to a cube, when we develope a Excel 2013 Powerview report, the data model column name is concatenate into terrible name by default. e.g. Dim TimeDate Date, Dim TimeTime HierachyYear -Month.
But when start up the data model with Powerpivot, everything gone well. We knew that it can be manual update the name as workaround, but we need to do it every time we create a new powerview with the data model.
Is that any other solution we can do with?

  • Problems with Excel and Word 2013 saving to OneDrive for Business

I've had OneDrive for Business running for about a month without any problems. On Thursday I noticed I wasn't able to save an Excel 2013 spreadsheet to my OneDrive account. When I try to save it a box comes up that it's communicating with OneDrive then I
get an error that the file wasn't able to upload due to permissions. I've tried to resync and repair OneDrive, but that didn't help. I also repaired Office 2013.
If I create a txt file in Notepad I can save immediately to the same folder on OneDrive. If I create a new spreadsheet and hit the browse button to save it takes forever for OneDrive to access the folder then I get an upload error saying it cannot save and
    to make a copy.
    Should I re-install Office 2013?

    Hi,
Are you able to new a Word/Excel file directly in that OneDrive folder?
Please first try to remove and re-add the OneDrive service in Office and then verify result.
You might also want to install any available updates, make sure your system/Office is up to date and then try again.

    Hi,
Did the issue occur when you opened the file that stored in the local disk or a network?
If the issue occurred with the local disk file, please try the following method:
    Word
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Word.Document.12\Shell\Open\Command
    Rename Subkey “Command” to “Old_Command”
    Rename Key “ddeexec” to “Old_ddeexec”
Using FileType Manager change .xls from Word.Sheet.8 to Word.Sheet.12 In the Open Command appended “%1”
.docx In the Open Command appended “%1”
    Excel
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Excel.sheet.12\Shell\Open\Command
    Rename Subkey “Command” to “Old_Command”
    Rename Key “ddeexec” to “Old_ddeexec”
Using FileType Manager change .xls from Excel.Sheet.8 to Excel.Sheet.12 In the Open Command appended “%1”
.xlsx In the Open Command appended “%1”
    ========
Next, if the issue occurred with network file, the issue may be caused by the Office File Validation, please try to turn off it to test.
    For Excel 2013
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Excel\Options
Look for a DWORD value labeled DisableRobustifiedUNC set to a value of 1. If this is set on your machine, it's recommended you delete this value or set the DWORD value to 0.

  • Excel 2013 and Random Excessive Processor Utilization

Every now and then (about once per day), my Excel 2013 will randomly seize one of my 8 threads and max it out.  My PC is quad-core and hyper-threaded, so it shows up in task manager as 8 cores.  When Excel seizes, its UI still seems to function
properly... I can input data and format cells, etc.  But even when my machine should be idle, I'll notice that my laptop fan is running at the maximum.  When this happens, a quick look at task manager shows me that "excel.exe *32" is consuming
13% of my processor utilization (100% divided by 8).
If I close Excel, the process typically will quit, but every now and then I must forcibly end the process even after Excel has appeared to close (the UI almost always closes fine, but sometimes even after the UI has closed the fan still runs high and there
is still an excel.exe *32 process hanging out in my task list, consuming exactly 13% of the CPU until I end the process).
I notice this more often when editing network files via VPN, but every now and then it will happen with local files, too.
Perhaps this is an issue with multi-cores and memory locks?  I'm tempted to permanently set the processor affinity for excel.exe to see if this alleviates the issue...
    Do you have any suggestions?

Seems that Excel crash issue only happen for a single user in your site, and you've tried some of troubleshoot steps already. Please continue to perform the following method which mention in the
KB2758592 o narrow down the issue:
Method 1: Verify/install the latest updates
Method 4: Check whether your antivirus software is up to date or is conflicting with Excel
Method 7: Test by using a new local or network profile
Method 9: Repair or reinstall your Office program
