Sol-10-u1-ga-sparc-lang-iso failing on install
I'm installing solaris 10 on a u5. When I get to the Language cd I get the following message:
"Unable to read disc for Solaris 10 Languages for SPARC Platforms. Please try again"
I've downloaded the iso multiple times (md5 checked good) and I continue to receive the same message.
Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
I just downloaded the image again and recreated a new cd. It still fails. I think there must be something wrong with the .iso.
Does anybody have any information on how I can test the cd after it's be written

Where can I download older Solaris 10 cd images (sol-10-u2-ga-sparc-v1.iso)
Hello,
I am trying to find older Solaris 10 cd images than the ones in download center. More specifically, I'd like to download the following iso to use them in Simics simulation.
sol-10-u2-ga-sparc-v1.iso
sol-10-u2-ga-sparc-v2.iso
sol-10-u2-ga-sparc-v3.iso
sol-10-u2-ga-sparc-v4.iso
sol-10-u2-ga-sparc-v5.iso
Could you please help me with this?
Thanks
YanPerhaps you can examine one of the older releases still available
directly from Sun:

It seems that you are using a custom security provider and the weblogic server is not able to find the class / jar file that contains the class.
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Failed to load class com.msl.security.providers.SessionPrincipal]
Make sure you have all the required jar files in the server classpath.
You can use the JarScan utility to find the jar that contains the class.
Refer the below link regarding the jarScan.

I'm having a problem I think since we migrated to IBM jdk 1.5.
Jasper Reports and just Jasper reports is thorwing this exception randomly once a week and makes all the tomcat server go down.
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Failed to fork OS thread

at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.fill.JRThreadSubreportRunner.start(JRThreadSubreportRunner.java:64)
at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.fill.JRFillSubreport.prepare(JRFillSubreport.java:546)I saw the same error when creating images for the report, but the error was in the same place, java.lang.Thread.startImpl(Native Method)any clue ? I cant find anything not even in google about this.
thanks
RodrigoThe problems was solved setting Xmx parameters
for example, your OS has 3 gb RAM.
your java processs is -Xmx1440m, that means almost 1.5 gb .
ok. your process starts, it works for a while.... but at any moment after get that much memory it blows up saying Failed to fork OS thread.
that is because, at least in windows, allows you to allocate as max the half of memory for a process, but you are not counting on java overhead. Then, if it tries to get more "permitted" memory it will blow up because the OS is not allowing to create new threads.
my advice.
1. if you want to allocate a lot of memory, use 40% as max of the total RAM of the OS (in windows) using Xmx params.
2. also, tweak the parameter -XX:ThreadStackSize=128 to reduce it, the default is 512 and that is too much

Rodrigo

Weblogic MQ :java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Failed to load class weblog
Hi

Please help me to find out possible root cause for this errorstack.

Edited by: 906163 on Jan 5, 2012 5:29 AMHi,
This is not the forum for WebLogic Messaging, i.e., JMS. This is the forum for Oracle MessageQ, and pure standalone messaging product similar to IBM MQ Series.

Java.lang.RuntimeException: Failed to start Service "ReplicatedCache"
I'm seeing an exception from coherence when I attempt to shutdown our application. The error indicates that Coherence is attempting to start the "ReplicatedCache" service, but the JVM is shutting down.
Is this perhaps a timing issue where our application leaves the grid and Coherence attempts to restart the "ReplicatedCache" service even though we're actually shutting down? Do we need to explicitly shutdown Coherence services before our application exits?
The exception creates the following log message:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.RuntimeException: Failed to start Service "ReplicatedCache" (ServiceState=SERVICE_STOPPED)
at com.tangosol.coherence.component.util.daemon.queueProcessor.Service.waitAcceptingClients(Service.CDB:12)
at com.tangosol.coherence.component.util.daemon.queueProcessor.service.Grid.poll(Grid.CDB:9)
at com.tangosol.coherence.component.util.daemon.queueProcessor.service.Grid.poll(Grid.CDB:11)
Thanks in advance!
StacyTom,
The "Rejecting connection to member" message comes from the TcpRingListener and indicates that some process (not Coherence software) attempts to open a TCP socket on port 8088, which is used by Coherence for the TcpRing communications (life cycle support).
I would suggest changing the base port number used by the Coherence cluster nodes by either creating/modifying your tangosol-coherence-override.xml or supplying a command line override: -Dtangosol.coherence.localport=NNNN, where NNNN is a number in a range that is not used by any other applications.

Windows Server 2012 R2 - ALL HF's Failing to install as "Does Not Apply to this computer"
Hi,
A general question about hot fix installs.
I have multiple servers that are all Windows 2012 R2. They do not have internet connections, so I have to install the Hotfixes manually. I download the HF's from the ISO download page (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/913086) every month. I collect them and install in a bulk install during a release cycle ( a couple times a year). I just realized that NO HF's have installed since JUNE 2014. Every HF that shows up in WindowsServer2012R2 directory fail to install with a message of "The update is not applicable to your computer". Which is fine if that was true, but.... I get this message for every HF from the ISO's since June 2014. NOT one HF thinks it is applicable to my computer. Could that be the case? No HF's apply to my Server 2012 systems since June of 2014?
This is my system info, and below that is the results from attempting to install 95 HF's.

http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5066286&tstart=0The StarOffice patches are most likely being recommended as there are one or more SUNWstaroffice packages installed on the system, but the patch installation cannot complete due to an incomplete installation of StarOffice. Check for any installed StarOffice packages and remove them if present:

How to install Linux on UEFI systems where GRUB fail to install?
A few of us are asking:
How to install Linux on UEFI systems where GRUB fail to install? Because after installing Linux, my MBR is messed up, and I get a "no operating system found" at system startup.

Solved!
Go to Solution.Hi again,
I would like to answer to another question, just in case:
Question: Can I dual boot Win7 and Linux on a UEFI capable bios?
Answer: Yes you can. If your HDD is formatted in MBR partition table (or msdos) than you can install first windows 7 and than the distro of your choice. BUT, careful, if you install windows from a DVD media it will convert your HDD in GPT partition table and dual boot will be almost impossible... (or will give you a lot of headache) to avoid this, dump the win7 iso to an usb using Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool. Installing from USB will not change the hdd in GPT partition table.
take care

Application Manager failed to install message
I'm upgrading from PS CS6 to PS CC. When I begin the download process, I get an error message saying that App Manager failed to install. When I start the download I briefly get a message saying that the installer had a problem because another instance of App Manager was already running. That message disappears almost immediately and the install proceeds. The progress bar gets about 1/2 way done when the error message appears. I rebooted my machine (HP, quad core, 8 gig, Windows 7, running with admin privelages) just in case a stray app was running, but I continue to get this error message each time I try to install CC. PS CS6 works fine as does LR 5.
I have solved my problem, but the solution was considerably easier than the one detailed in the above referenced posting. I was surprised at the number of people expressing similar issues as mine, but no obvious easy answer was ever offered. When I didn't get any response to my forum posting, I decided to do some searching on my own. When i looked at the system requitements for downloading and installing this app, I noticed a brief statement saying that when you install a single application, like PS CC, the process should first install CC Desktop. The note stated that you could install it separately from the downloads. However, if it doesn't already exist on the system, the application will install it itselft. This did not happen when I attempted to install PS CC. The installer did try to install Application Manager (not CC Desktop) and it ran into the problems I mentioned in my oriiginal posting. So, I went back to the downloads section and manually installed CC Desktop. Once it was installed (more about problems encountered with this installation below) I was able to install PS CC from the desktop application just fine. I repeated this process on my laptop, ran into the same issues, and resolved them by first manually installing CC Desktop. PS CC now runs fine on both systems.
Installing CC Desktop had its own challenges. when I first tried to install it, the process proceeded for about 5 minutes, the porgress bar got about 1/2 way done and then I got a message saying that the installation failed and that I needed to first close all browsers. And then the installation quit. OK.Not sure why the installer couldn't have detected that the browser was open and instruct me to close it before continuing the installation process, but it didn't. It just failed. I closed my browser (IE 9), and tried again. This time I got a message saying that the installation failed because it needed admin privileges, this despite the fact that I'm the sole admiin on my machines. I tried one more time. This time I right clicked on the installation app and chose "Run as Administrator" and sure enough, the installation proceeded just fine. This seemed redunandant as I was already logged in as an admin, but no matter, it worked and now am successfully running PS CC.
This has been a very strange experience. I have been used to enjoying rock solid installations on all of my Adobe products. This time, however, the process was ridiculously convoluted and obtuse. Clearly the developers need to revisit this and try to fix the problem as it seems to be fairly common. Obviously I don't know if my work around is specific to my circumstances or represents a design flaw. Either way it was no where near as easy as it should have been.
On the flip side, once I got CC Desktop installed, I have been quite impressed w/ the one-stop shopping I enjoy for installing and upgrading my products. The application suggested I needed to upgrade my copy of PS CS6, which I did and that upgrade went flawlessly. So, once the installation hassles get resolved, I do think this is good way to manage my Adobe applications. -
WindowsUpdateAgent30-x64.exe fails to install during OSD
I have a Task Sequence for Windows 7 x64 that is failing during the ConfigMgr client installation. I am using a vanilla install.wim from the Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 x64 ISO. It's the base Task Sequence and fails to install the ConfigMgr client
as the Windows Update Agent is failing. It does not fail when using a Hyper-V guest but fails on all newer Dell laptop and desktop models. I cannot find the error codes given in the logs below to determine the cause. Any help would be appreciated.

ThanksWhen running the WUA from the ccmsetup folder on failed machines I am getting the error:
Windows Update Agent Installer encountered unrecoverable error.
I am using the default WUA from ConfigMgr 2012 R2.
I have also tried manually installing the newer version from
http://blogs.technet.com/b/configmgrteam/archive/2014/07/14/how-to-install-the-windows-update-agent-on-client-computers.aspx which succeeds on machines that fail on the original. But I don't know how I would integrate this update (see note)
I also tried downloading the same version as what is from the default install of ConfigMgr 2012 R2 from
https://support.microsoft.com/kb/949104/en-us?wa=wsignin1.0 and it fails with the same error when ran on failed machines.
Note: I am ONLY using the install.WIM from the Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 x64 ISO. I am not doing a build and capture. I have also not integrated any updates into the WIM with offline servicing. I have configured a TS like this in the
past with no issue on Dell machines. The Hyper-V VM works perfect but it fails on all Dell desktops and laptops which are all newer models. This is a very basic OSD TS. All the latest drivers for the models have been imported and wmi conditions
are applying the driver packages. I have also tried letting it install any driver it wants and the error is the same.
Thanks -
