Sol10-U6 Jumpstart problem - Where is 'patch_finish' script
Ever since I started using Sol10-U6, my jumpstarts have been marred by this problem. The install goes fine until the 'patch_finish' script is invoked. It appears the path '/cdrom' is hard-coded. I cannot find this script anywhere on my Sol10-U6 jumpstart server. Below is output from the install. I deleted around 10000 lines from the problem area. My 30 minute jumpstarts are now over an hour because of this.
So, Where is 'patch_finish' and how do I fix it?

I'd be doing a 'find /jumpstart -print | xargs grep /cdrom' on the jumpstart server to find where the value is being set. Something in your configs is getting picked up by the install process.

"Where is Keychain Scripting?" Mountain Lion edition
This came back to haunt me from the Lion days.
I launch the newly renamed Contacts app, and within a few seconds a "Choose Application" dialog with the caption "Where is Keychain Scripting?" pops up. But this time, nothing is clickable - I get a Spinning Beachball of Death that forces me to kill Contacts.
Any ideas on how to fix this?After removing the contents of folder "/Library/Address Book Plug-Ins/" the problem seems to have disappeared. I had a bunch of old things in there that I suppose aren't supported anymore.

Problems with close event scripts and closing Photoshop
Hi!
We are having problems with close event scripts ("Cls ") when closing/quitting Photoshop.
The close event scripts are working without problem when closing an image. But when quitting Photoshop without having closed all images we are observing the following behaviour:
with CS2 the close event scripts are not triggered at all
with CS4 the close event scripts are triggered and executed correctly. But after that the Photshop process freezes. No visible GUI, you have to kill the process with the task manager.
I can reproduce this behaviour even with a small script consisting of a single alert('hello') and even an empty script. Is this an known bug or am I doing something wrong?

Problem: ()[]{} invisible inside the script-tag
Hi there,
This morning I realised I had some strange problem with my Dreamweaver CS4. The brackets ()[]{} are somehow invisible inside the script-tag. I know they are still there, because they execute correctly and when I copy a codefragment with some (of the now invisible) brackets to another text-editor, they are there again.
Let me give a short example:
// Brackets are visible in DW ()[]{} These are visible, tooI can see the "bla", but NOT the brackets before and after it. ()[]{} These here are visible again.
So you see, brackets are somehow made invisible inside the script-tag, and I'd like to know how to make them visible again.
Here's what I tried so far (everything without success):
- restart Dreamweaver
- restart PC
- check the options menu (didn't find anything for this problem)
- hide/show the script-tag using dreaweaver's feature for this.
Intresting point here: when the part where the brackets are, are collapsed it shows me "()[]{}[..." as a preview. So even Dreamweaver "knows" the brackets are there, but still refuses to show them -_-
- set the gui setting from "coder" to "classic" and back.
Any help is appreciated!

Will there be a fix for Firefox's problems with Hotmail. I have gone back to 3.5.9 but mostly I am disappointed by the lack of action on this serious problem where a major and critical feature of a major international website is unavailable in the Firefox browser.

Hi There: I am having a problem where pdf files on the web (i.e., links in a Word doc) open after an extended time and only as gobbldygook ( a file containing a series of characters and letters that make no sense). This also happens for another Mac user coworker in my office, while the PCs don't have this problem... Any help/suggestions for a fix would be most appreciated!
Just adding more info - MacBookPro running 10.5.8 and using Safari as the browser. The problem comes and goes - sometimes the linked Word files will open OK, n others its just a strring of crazy characters...

Have a problem where I'll occasionally shift my computer (i.e. physically move it, say from the coffee table to my lap on the couch) and it will freeze and the screen will turn into a bunch of horizontal multicolored lines (closer to 100 lines than 5). Usually restarting (by holding the power button to turn it off) works. A few times that has resulted in the three beeps (RAM issue? -- I've since replaced my RAM [it *seemed* to stop it for a while, but maybe not]), but the second time it always works. Attempting to SSH into the computer during this state does not work. Please advise as to what to do/what reports I can run and post. I will take a pic next time it happens.

OS 10.6.8Sounds like a problem with your GPU. Do you have an external display you could connect your machine to in order to test this? If the external display renders the same way, then your GPU is damaged. If the external renders fine, then the CPU display is damaged.

Screen refresh problem where data is entered and the screen doesn't refresh
Many people in the company are experiencing the odd screen refresh problem where data is entered and the screen doesn't refresh to show the updated result in corresponding cell formulas.
Microsoft have issued a hotfix to fix the issue for Excel 2003 as shown. Microsoft released a hotfix for this problem (<a href="advisory?ID=978908">KB978908</a>). Display memory tends to pick up data from hidden sheets and pastes it
into the active screen. No impact on the file. This occurs when protecting and unprotecting worksheets in VBA. I also suspect that enabling and disabling screen refresh contributes to this problem. In any case there is a fix, albeit with the following disclaimer:

Based on your description, Excel does not show the text strings when you typing. It may be caused by the cell format, if we set the cell format as ";;;" in custom format, it will not display the text that you typed.
And the issue may be caused by the third-party input method, there are some compatibility issue between them.
If the issue still exits, please try the following methods

Repair your Office program

Do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the "Site Preferences"
Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords. -
HP 8750 Paper-Size Problem where it keeps telling me the paper is too big (it's set up for 11x17)
I've got an HP 8750 printer running with a Windows 7 Ultimate machine, and I've got a paper-size problem where it keeps telling me the paper is too big. It's set up for 11 x 17.
The actual wording on the printer is:
Paper installed is larger than needed. Press cancel to replace with correct size, if you wish to save paper, or press check mark to continue.
When you press the check mark it feeds the paper, but for a multi page-document I have to press the check mark for each page to feed.

Thank you for replying. Unfortunately, I already did all of these things. As you can see from the below screenshot, the language is already set. Also, this screenshot was taken in Safe Mode, so NoScript is not enabled. About:accounts still says I need to enable cookies for some reason. So, this solution didn't work.... -

In the same local VI I have a datasocket read polling a different dataitem on the server.
The remote machine has a VI that reads the permanent dataitem on the server once per second.
For some reason, after adding the local VI mentioned above, the remote VI stopped picking up the first change in the permanent variable.
I'd start both the local and remote VIs...
Then change the local control and the remote V

And from here on out - the remote VI would update correctly. This problem only occurs when the local VI is first started up.

Gorka is right, this came up on Info-LV a few days ago. Someone
described a similar problem. I replied that I had seen similar
behaviour, reported it to NI, and they verified a bug. There is no fix
yet, but they are aware of it and will fix it. No anticipated release
date for the fix.

I recently got myself an apple iphone 5s (factory unlocked) phone from the US. However on using the same in India with Vodafone, i am facing a problem where the connectivity keeps switching to EDGE most of the time. I have a 3G plan but most of the time it switches automatically to EDGE. Thats when i have to either switch Airplane mode - On/Off and then it acts normal. Any permanant solutions to fix this problem?Return the iPhone personally or via friend/relative/co-worker who is in
the US. The warranty is valid only in the country of original purchase - the USA
in this case. Apple will not accept international shipments for evaluation nor
will Apple ship out of the country after repair/replacement.

Which is the scripting language we can use in e-tester.Setting up Conditional Routing is a two-step process involving the definition of the design logic and the configuration of the behavior data. These two setups are done in uDesigner and Unifier/uStage, respectively.
uDesigner setup requires the following:
Add a condition to your workflow in the uDesigner editor. Using this action creates a diamond that will be inserted into your workflow.
Connect your diamond with lines to three steps: the step from which you want to create conditional routing and two steps to which your conditional routing will go.
Definte the Condition Name and Record Status for the two steps to which your condition routing will go. This definition is considered the 'Condition Properties' and can allow you to do some other design-driven behavior such as auto-creating records or capturing information based on conditional data.
Define the Trigger Elements in the Step Properties for the two steps to which your conditions will go.
Unifier/uStage setup requires the following:
Open the Workflow Setup Settings for your BP
Define Trigger Element values [data] for each Trigger Element
This type of separation of design logic and data configuration between uDesigner and Unifier/uStage is an important philosophy that is consistent throughout Unifier. In essence, the 'logic' - whether Conditional Routing should occur and what data element(s) will drive it - is defined in uDesigner while the detailed execution - the data captured in those elements such as the $ value - in Unifier/uStage.

Where is run_credtool script located?

I'm setting up the Weblogic embedded ldap with oracle ODI application login. One step is to:
Run the script to set up the credentials for idstore.oid or other LDAP in the identity store:
Navigate to where the run_credtool script resides in your environment,
perhaps <HOME>/custom/FusionLibraries/tools.
Run the run_credtool.cmd or sh script.
I don't see the run_credtool under Weblogic server dir. Where can I find the script? Is there any other component need to be installed in order to configure with the weblogic embedded ldap?
