Solaris 10 10/08 installation does not start

Hi,
I have AMD Athalon Processor, 80GB HDD, 1GB Ram and PS/2 mouse and keyboard. I have checked Sun's hardware compatiablity list(HCL). My PC is fully supported on solaris. I have installed solaris 08/07 x86 and OpenSolaris 11/08 on my PC few days ago.
As the Sun released new solaris 10/08, i thought to take a try. I downloaded the '.iso' dvd image file for solaris x86 10/08 on windowsXP twice. Then burned it on rewritable dvd using nero with option of "Burn Image to Disc".
But after all this, when i put the dvd in the drive and try to boot the PC then nothing happens and the system starts booting from hard disk.
Why my system is not booting from the DVD?
Is that DVD not a bootable disc at all?
Or the solaris dvd image files that i downloaded are not bootable?
What's wrong and where?
Somebody help me....

My "server" also fails to boot off the 10/08 DVD. 8/07 works fine. I tried booting the 10/08 media I received from Sun, that failed. I also downloaded the ISO (and confirmed the MD5 checksum) and it too failed to boot. This is an old P3-650, but it strange that the 8/07 DVD boots just fine, while 10/08 doesn't boot at all (5/08 boots, but hangs at the initial kernel version messages).

You need to contact the developer/manufacturer directly to determine if their product is compatible w/Yosemite. It is not listed on their system requirement website:

Solaris 10 installation does not start

I am new to solaris . I downloaded the four zipped ISO files of solaris 10 from the website. I burned the images on the cd. When i insert the disk 1 and restart the computer it does not detect the cd as bootable and does not start the installation. I have win XP previously installed as the only os on my laptop. help me pls

Make sure your computer supports bootable CD's and that you burned the images correctly to your CDR.

10 G installation does not start on Windows 2000 SP 4

Machine configuration:
Pentium 4 2.8 GHz
496 MB RAM
120 GB HDD
The temp folder log shows that all installer requirements are met.
Still the OUI window does not show up. Any ideas?

First things first. Here are some things to consider:
1. If using Windows 2000, you need to be using Windows 2000 Professional with SP4.
2. You should not have any other Oracle software running during this install.
3. You also not have ORACLE_HOME, TNS_ADMIN or any of the other Oracle environment variables set.
4. You need to be a local administrator on the machine.
5. You should not have a firewall enabled.
6. You need to have a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) set for the machine.
7. The FQDN should be set in the HOSTS file which you can find in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc
8. You need to check the certification matrix for 10.1.3.2.0 and make sure it is available for Windows 2000 and that there are no other prerequisites?

Reader 8.1.3 installer does not start on Windows 2003 x64

Hello,
i use Windows Server 2003 SP2 as 64 Bit edition on AMD and have installed Reader 8.1.2 successfully. Now i tried to install 8.1.3, which is the most recent of the 8th series i found, and fail because the installer simply does nothing! It starts up and then nothing happens. I've downloaded the EXE several times directly from Adobe with the same result.
What can i do?

Sorry, i still don't get why 8.1.2 runs perfectly (and yes, there is a 64bit support for Windows 2003 Server!) and 8.1.3 did not even start. That makes no sense to me.
And because i want do deploy 8.1.3 even update is no alternative for me.

The installation does not start when I log in to Adobe Download Assistant.

When I downloaded the program (Ae) it took me to the download assistant; which allows you to sign and start the installation process on its own. I am having a problem with the installation starting when I sign in. Once I sign in it gives me some programs I could download, but are not what I am looking for. Please help.

What computer/OS are you trying to download After Effects on?
Make sure that your computer meets the System requirements for running After Effects. For example, AE requires a 64-bit operating system. If you're on a 32-bit version, you will be unable to install AE.
If you meet the system requirements, try one of the following:
Restart the browser and from the website, try downloading After Effects again.
Sign in to Adobe Download Assistant, and then from the Show Me menu choose Video, and then click the left/right arrows till you find After Effects CS6.

The flash player installer does not start

A brief explanation of the problem, including exact error messages received
When I try to start the installer it doesn't start visually. It Meaning, it appears for several seconds as a process in the Task manager, but it closes after a few seconds.The windows prompts me if the program can make adjustments to my hard drive and I accept it.
If I try to run it twice, in the short time window when it`s visible in the Task manager, there`s an error message that the installer is running.
Please, if you have a suggestion why this is happening, share it with me.
I apologize if there`s such topic available but I was not able to find it.

Are you using the online installer (about 1.2 MB file size)? If so, please try the offline installer, posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows page, in the 'Still having problems' section. There are three different files and you'll want the one(s) that corresponds with the browser(s) you're using.

Lion installer does not start after reboot

When I run the lion installer App, it does its thing, copying files for ~3 minutes,
then reboots the computer.
After the computer reboots, Instead of the expected 'install' phase, I am directly returned to the login screen, exacly as a normal boot, and 'About this mac' confirms I am still running 10.6.8
One of my collegues tried extracting the dmg from the installer app, and turned it into a bootable usb disk
Booting from this produced a grey screen, with the timer animation at the bottom, and a grey barred circle just above center.
After half an hour without any indication of progress or disk activity on this screen, I hard-power-off'd the machine, and powered on, straight back to the normal 10.6.8 login screen.
My mac is an early 2011 13" macbook pro.
Can someone please tell me why lion refuses to install, or how to find out? and how to fix it?

Does this mean a file is missing from my installer?

SAP ECC 5.0 after installation does not start.

I have installated ECC 5.0 - ABAP Stack in my PC which has 1 GB of RAM and enough hard disk resource. when i start SAP system from MMC it starts and then shuts down after some time. all my work process die one by one.

Business Objects Explorer XI R3.1 SP1 (Polestar) installer does not start

I am trying to install Business Objects Explorer XI R3.1 SP1 on Business Objects Edge Professional 3.1 on Win2k8 Server, but the installer dialog box disappears once I click "next" on "Configure Web Application Server" dialog box.
Note: When I use "disappear" above, I mean the "setup.exe" disappears from task manager. Also, the installation dialog box disappears from the screen.
I followed the same steps on Business Objects Edge Standard 3.1 and everything ran fine. I also tried to reproduce the issue on Business Objects Enterprise Premium, but it ran fine. All these installations were done on 64 bit win2k8 server.
Any help or tip on this issue would be highly appreciated.

Hi there,
I extracted the files to a different drive and ran the installer from there. It eventually ran fine. I still don't know why it couldn't run from the same drive.
I tried running it from the command line as well, but it failed from there. I raised it to SAP as well which they haven't yet responded to.

Execution part of adobe reader installer does not start despite antivirus disabled and scripting turned on

Even with antivirus off, scripting turned on, cannot install either reader or flash. Java is installed. PC is new Windows 7 Pro.

When i plug in my ipod nano, the installer does not start

it just opens the window to see what is in the ipod. nothing happens.

try a different usb port, or try the wall charger, change ipod usb wire, turn ipod on to see if the low battery screen pops up by holding onto the switch above the ipod. try that stuff

Adobe AIR Application Installation will not start

I purchased a program called Video Alchemy which requires Adobe AIR to run but the installation window will not display and the installation does not start.

I uninstalled adobe AIR and ran a file and registry cleaner to delete any left over files and installs.
Then installed the v.15 Adobe AIR beta as recommended.
The cleaners I used (ccleaner & jv16 power tools) did find some temporary install files and remnants of the Video Alchemy install.
Tried the install again and still no installation window displays.
I'm running Windows 7 on my PC and even changed the installation file compatibility to Windows XP service pack 2 to no avail.
Funny that it installed fine on my notebook with Adobe AIR latest version running Windows 7.
I'm watching task manager as I'm attempting the install and videoalchemy.exe has some cpu usage then drops to zero activity.
Then Adobe AIR application Installer starts up then cycles to zero cpu activity.
I'm stumped on this one :-(

Captivate does not start?

Hi, I have a computer with windows 7 64 bits, and I install the trial version of cs6 to see how it works because we have a license of captivate cs5, but after the installation, does not start, then I try installing the cs5 version, and happend the same, does not start, just appears the logo and appears loading, but nothing happend with both versions, do you have any idea why??' the computer is new...I cannot find why , can you help me???.....thanks...

Ora10g_win64_cient Setup.exe does not start

I downloaded ora10g_win64_client (10.1.0.2) and I try to install it on Windows 2003 Enterprise SP1 for Itanium 2 but when I try to launch setup.exe then a black windows named Oracle Universal Installer appear on the screen.

Thanks for your reply to my thread but I already did what you suggested without success and after further investigations we found that the problem is in the jre. The java.exe does not work, it return an unknown error. We tried to download the jre from SUN in order to use it instead of the one delivered by Oracle and it worked the installation succeeded.
But now we have a new problem, the Network Configuration Assistant does not work an exception is throw by the oranjini10.dll
