Solaris 10 login problem. need guru's help.

I posted the same question a few days ago. Mor than 150 persons reviewd it. But noone could answer my question. Is there real expert or guru out there to help me out? Here is the question again.
I isntalled solaris 10 on Sun sparc 64 bit machine. I can login as root user through GUI or console. After I created an Oracle user, I only can login as that user from console window. I tried to login from GUI (CED) window, it failed. Anyone know about this, please help me to figure out the reason and the method to fix it. Thanks for your help.

I have found some different in /u01 part, but not sure. Please advise.
Also I set Oracle profile umask 022. Does this impact anything?

I'm a complete rookie with Sun & Solaris, so any help someone could offer would be greatly appreciated!
I have a SunBlade 1500 (SPARC) that I purchased from university surplus. The hard drive was wiped, so I needed to install an OS. I don't have a DVD burner, so I downloaded Solaris Express Text Install, because it was the only OS I could find that would work with SPARC & could be burned to CD. Installation went fine, & the hard drive now boots to the disk. But here is my problem:
At bootup, I am asked to login, and I don't know what to do. During install, I had to make several entries for passwords & such. The "computer name" is solaris, and the "root password" is sunblade1500. I entered Bugs Bunny for "real name", Bugs for "user name", and bugs123 for "user password". I've tried all different combinations of these when prompted for login, but the only ones that seem to work and not give a "login incorrect" message are when I use either "Bugs" or "Bugs Bunny" as login, and "bugs123" as password.
Here is verbatim text of what the screen shows when I try to login with these entries:

You are logged in as the user bugs* and the system is sitting at a command-line OS prompt.

You pulled the text-only distribution.
It's a full UNIX but you won't have a GUI.
The install files for the GUI are too much to fit on a CD.
I think it may be time for you to go buy some books.

Very strange problem need a super help

I have bought since about one month an wirelles ,lan router modem and it works cool
but some times i got massege from the computer telling me that the network cable is unplaged so i look to the router i found the power led is off and DSL is off and iternet led is off but all rest leds are powered green on
i thought at first itis matter of changing the elctricity sorce but no use and also i found out iam a fool coz if the electricty is the resone so the router should powered off all leds on it not some off and others not
and some times its all off and reconnect again as power a power issue
so please i need your kind help dear..

When you get back to the PC, if the QuickTime problem is a BEX and the QuickTime control panel error message is:
An exception occured while trying to run "C:\WINDOWS\system32\shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL "C:\WINDOWS\system32\QuickTime.cpl",QuckTime"
... (the key here is that the message shows that the QuickTime.cpl is down in the \system32\ folder), then try proceeding as per my instructions to zach in the following post:

Auto login problem in Discoverer -- Urgent Help

I'm trying to call discoverer 4i plus from viewer.
I did auto login for discoverer 4i plus for 9i AS(2.1).It worked
fine. I did the same for 9i AS(2.2).Basically i tried to get
login inforamtion from cookies in webdisc.js file .The edited
webdisc.js like this
var user = getCookie ("Username");
If i remove this line my discoverer 4i plus works fine without
having any problem.if add the above code then i get the
following error
"Unable to connect to the Oracle Discoverer Application server.
Failed to connect to session XXXOracleDiscovererSession4 using
OSAgent."

In my viewer, i've provided a link to plus. When an user hit
this link it should take the userid from viewer and auto logins
to plus. In viewer, i'm putting the userid and password in a
cookie and reads the information from cookie in webdisc.js(This
is disco plus script file for auto login)
I did the whole process in 9iAS(2.1) it works fine. Only this
version(2.2) i'm getting the error
"Unable to connect to the Oracle Discoverer Application server.
Failed to connect to session XXXOracleDiscovererSession4 using
OSAgent."
I'm interested to know how u did auto login on NT using <PARAM>
tag.

Login problems...please help!!!!

My computer is having software glitches much like my old windows units did with viruses. I tried to correct problem with repair disc but now I can't get past my login screen because my computer won't recognise my password assigned to it. I don't mind erasing hard drive but don't know how to do it w/o logging in 1st. Please help!!

What you want to do is Boot from your install DVD by holding down C while your computer is booting. Then you can either do one of two things.
The first is an Archive and Install, this will try to keep all of your personal settings and applications intact, but it will completely reinstall the operating system.
The other option is just a full clean install, this will wipe everything on the hard drive and you will have a fresh copy of OSX installed.
Hope this helps, if you dont understand something let me know.

CDE and Solaris 8 login problems

When I attempt to connect to my Sun Ultra80 server running Solaris 8 using Exceed, the CDE login will not display. When I check /var/dt/Xerrors, I see the error message:

Another Login Problem - Error 9812, PLEASE HELP!!!

It works fine in OSX but once I change to windows, the iTunes store keep saying error-9812

The main hiccup is that the first and last row won't accept a
7 pixel
height, for whatever reason. All the more perplexing is the

In my frustration , amongst lots of open web pages tutorials and other useless information , I come across innocent looking link and software to installed called Genieo , which suppose to help with any router .
Software ask for permission to install , and about 30 % in , my instinct was telling me , there is something not right . I stop installation . Delete everything , look for any
trace in Spotlight , Library . Nothing could be find .
Now , every time I open Safari , Firefox or Chrome , it will open in my home page , but when I start looking for something in steed of Google page , there is
''search.genieo.com'' page acting like a Google . I try again to get raid of this but I can not find solution .
With more research , again using genieo.com search eng. there is lots of articles and warnings . From that I learn do not use uninstall software , because doing this will install more things where it come from.
I do have AppleCare support but its to late to phone them , so maybe there some people with knowledge , how to get this of my computer

Genieo definitely doesn't help with your router. It's just adware, and has no benefit to you at all. They scammed you so that they could display their ads on your computer.

thats the message i get when i try to click on the itunes icons.
it won't let me in at all even a smidge.
its done this ever since ive tried to load it on this new computer.
ive uninstalled and reinstalled millions of times yet it still has the same message and no improvment, its very dissapointing since i haven't been able to redo my ipod in almost a year. so if anybody can help and get this problem patched up itd be much appreciated.

wanpedro I tried what you suggested but have again got nowhere.I tried to uninstall QuickTime it just wont.I uninstalled iTunes & reinstalled it with QuickTime from Apple website.I'm back to where I was with the error message

Do you know when this problem (for not being able to add new highlight/strikeout/underline) has started? Did you update your iOS from 7.x to 8.0 recently?

Major iPod Problems, Need Help Solving

One day I was casually syncing my iPod video with my computer to get a few new songs uploaded onto it.
Suddenly, the iPod freezes up, shuts itself off, restarts, and magically it has forgotten everything and pretends it is a brand new iPod.
No problem, I think, believing it will just need to load the songs again and everything will be fine.
However, this is not the case.
The iPod would then continue to load all the songs, shut down after loading them, restart and again pretend it is brand new and lad all the songs again.
This continues to happen again and again.
I try to update my iPod, figuring it may just be a version error or somesuch nonsense. The updater refuses to work and actually causes my iPod to crash, saying it has a diskwrite error.
It refuses to "System Restore" on my computer, so I run the "System Restore" on another window computer that I own. And it runs just fine, making the iPod load songs once more.
And I think, problem solved!
However, again, this is not the case.
I load it once, everything goes fine.
The nxt day, after buying more songs, I try to upload and after the upload, the iPod shut off, restarts, and pretends to be new once more.
I go through the "System Restore" process again, but afterwards, the iPod all out refuses to upload my music fully, shutting off about halfway through the process each time.
And now whenever it is plugged into my computer, windows says it is unreadable and must be reformatted, so I run the updater and it says that there is an "iPod manager internal error" which could basically be another language considering my only basic knowledge of computers.
Is there any way to repair my iPod at home? Or must it be sent in to Apple?

iPod is running perfect once more!

Keychain "login" Problems   Can't remember my Keychain password. Admin Password also does not help. Mac Mini(Late 2012) OS 10.10.2

Series of Keychain "Login" Problems.
Hardware: Mac Mini (Late 2012) 2.5 GHz Intel COre i5, 4GB 1600 MHz DDR3
OS X : 10.10.2 upgraded yesterday
Mail wants to use "login" keychain.   I enter Password but no success.
CalendarAgent wants to use "login" keychain. I enter Password but no success.
Com.apple.internetaccounts.xpc wants to you "login" keychain. Password, not successful.
At some point in past days I was offered to rename Keychain, so I did.
In Keychain Access, I deleted "Login"    and selected Delete references.
Just now I went into ~/Library/Keychains and found Login.Keychain and Login_renamed.Keychain.
I have renamed Login.keychain -> Login-old.keychain.
I renamed Login_renamed.keychain-> Login.Keychain.
In Keychain Access, I added "Login" back. This should be the renamed keychain.
Original problems still persist. No noticeable changes.
Keychain wants to use the "Login" keychain.   Can't remember my password or it is incorrect.

I turned off and turned on the computer. When restarting it said that it could not use the Login and did I want to create a new or use and alternate? I created new and for the moment things seem to be working under the command of the "New Login"
That still doesn't really alleviate the problem of the old login.
