Solaris 11.1 AI client: solaris.zlib download times out
Hi all,
I am trying to install a client off the current AI image. I have not modified any manifests and just run the default config after "installadm create-service" which should give me an interactive text install mode. The client has the Intel I350-T2 adapter ( [http://ark.intel.com/products/59062/Intel-Ethernet-Server-Adapter-I350-T2] ) installed. The PXE part finishes quite fine, the client receives the IP from the DHCP server, the boot loader and the subsequent boot_archive download quite fine over TFTP.
But just after the Solaris installer loads ("Probing for device nodes ..."), the connectivity is lost (ICMP echo requests are not answered anymore) and subsequently, the HTTP download of the solaris.zlib network image fails ("Connecting to: <IP address>:5555... failed: Connection timed out.") . I would suspect that the NIC driver's probing simply is unable to recognize the i350 network adapter, but when I can drop to the shell (after 10 failed connection retries), I can run "ifconfig -a" and see the "igb0" interface plumbed and configured with DHCP (at least for a while until the lease expires) - so something appears to be detected by the driver and configured according to the lease granted to the host in the PXE phase. /system/volatile/install_log does not exist at that point, /var/log/syslog is empty and the command set is very limited (no "dmesg"), so I am a bit stuck without any usable log files available.
Am I guessing correctly that I would need a specific NIC driver set upon install for the i350? If so, how would I go about integrating an additional NIC driver into the AI install procedure?
Thanks, kind regards,
Denis

After having performed a manual installation from media, I have noticed problems with the Ethernet interfaces on this system - packets were timing out, connections seemed dropped. A look into "fmadm faulty" presented me with a couple of events for pci@0,0/pci8086,3c08@3/pci15d9,1521. According to "prtconf -v" it is a "pciclass 0200" (Network Controller) and is carrying a "compatible" alias of pci8086,1521 (Intel i350 Powerville NIC). I double-checked with other OSes and the NICs seem running quite fine on the same machine, so the problem is apparently with the hardware's driver.
At least I am sufficiently positive now that it is not an AI issue, thanks for reading.

Before beginning the download, temporarily disable your antivirus, anti-adware, anti-spyware, and any other anti-whatever that is required with that swiss cheese for security OS your computer is running.

Why do app downloads time out? iTunes 10.6.3.25
I have VZW FiOS, running iTunes 10.6.3.25 on Windows 7 and everytime I download app updates to iTunes they time out - it does not matter if there is 1 app, 3, 30, or more - I find I'm constantly clicking on dialog boxes and the "resume all" button in the downloads window. This is the only progra. Using the same connection on my iPhone they do not time out. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Okay I waited 2 weeks and in that time I had one multiple app download session where I disabled my firewall and still had the issue so I reenabled my firewall. I'm in the process of downloading a total of 48 app updates and thus far it has not kicked out the error. This is telling me that the issue was on Apple's end and it appears to be fixed. I'll give it one more multi-app download session. Thanks for the help and the suggestions.

Firefox.exe download times out in IE
I`ve attempted several times to download Firefox 6.0.2 on the main computer (I've successfully downloaded it within minimal minutes on other computers in the house that run off the same connection) and the download fails with the error message that it `timed out`.
The transfer rate shows at being no more than 1.29kb/sec (937 bytes/sec) while the actual internet connection speed shows 130 Kb. The estimated download time is close to 4 hours.
The main laptop in the house is a Dell with Windows XP Professional, and I'm running IE 8.0.6.
I've tried to download Firefox several times hoping different mirrors will give me a faster speed but its the same every time.
Any suggestions? On iPhone 4, 4s and 5 and Ipads IOS6, go to settings, and locate Store. Click your Apple ID and sign out on Store and then re-sign in your Apple ID, and session timed out issue will be fixed. I tried this myself and confirmed working =) Good Luck.

Flash Player 11 Download Time Out???
Danke!!I uninstalled yet again and tried reinstalling using the link you provided .
The installer downloaded successfully. It then retrieved succussfully. then the installer tried installing and stopped at 12%.
Then it gave me the time out error....
And finally the unsuccessful installation message.
I have made sure Active X is not checked in tools, I have made sure all settings in Internet Option are set as Adobe said (in regards to scripting, etc both in Trusted Zones and Internet Options), and Windows Firewalls, etc were all turned off.
I have tried this about 30 times now over the ast 4 nights and would appreciate anybody letting me know if they have a solution.
Thank you

When I connect my iPod touch 4 to i Tunes it asks me if I want to update my software to IOS 6.1. When I agreed it starts to download and says that it will take about 2 minutes. The time then starts to increase quickly and then the server times out. I had the same problem with my i Phone and i Pad, but as they could connect through my home's wifi they updated outsside of i tunes. My i Pod touch 4 is the only item out of date. I cant find any help on the Aplle Web site.
Thanks, I don't get an error message just that the network connection timed out. It races to about 85mb of fownload and then stops dead. I have run a diagnostics on I Tunes and it says all is ok

Iphone update download times out, has anyone else had this problem?
I was prompted through iTunes for a new iOS update (6.1) and have tried downloading 5 times now (both ways - just download, and also download and install). However, the download seems to time out. Is there a known way around this?
My "brute force" method finally worked - on the 8th attempt at downloading, I finally got the whole file and all is now well. "Keep trying" is not a very elegant solution, but it did work (each time I downloaded I did get further along before receiving the time out error code - so it was trending toward a solution).

Ios 7.0.4 download times out
Trying to download ios update times out. Anti-virus and firewall disabled. MS Win7 64bit. Any suggestions?
- Next try the manual install method of:
iDevice Troubleshooting 101 :: iPhone, iPad, iPod touch
Place the iPod in recovery mode after the firmware download is complete and then restore using the instructions in the article. Sometimes recovery mode timeouts and returns to disabled before the firmware download is complete.
- Then try on another computer -
Hi All,
I'm using the FM 'GUI_DOWNLOAD' to download entries from a table. It works well , however if the records are more than 200000 ( 2 lacs), it throws an error which says time out & program terminates. Please assit me in overcoming this time out error & to down load records more than 200000.Hi ,
Try usingnthis FM " SXDA_COPY_FLAT_FILE " . this won't give you the problem of timeout during download . IF required I can also give you sample code . This is the FM being used by transaction SXDB to upload and download files from presentation erver to application or viceversa .

OS X Mavericks download time out
i am attempting to download and upgrade my MacBook Pro (15-inch, mid 2009) from Mac OS 10.6.8 to OS X Mavericks. The down load starts and goes for 60 seconds then a msg. replaces the download timeline that says, "An error has occurred". Then a dialog box pops up "The application could not be downloaded. The application you tried to download could not be downloaded. Check your internet connection and try again." With the choices "Cancel" or "Retry". I click retry and the download starts where it left off. But after 60 seconds it times out with same message and dialog box. When the download timeline is showing the file size increases and the estimated time decreases. My initial reaction is because of the time and size of the file except I just finished downloading a 6.5 Gb file from Adobe.com and it went perfectly.
Welcome to Apple Support Communities
First, see if the download is paused and if you can resume it. To do so, open the Mac App Store, go to Purchases and press "Resume" next to OS X Mavericks.
If the download does not carry on, I would recommend you to restart and start the download all over again. -
Hello All,
Please I need help! I have not seen the above error without relationship to two of the known causes for sometime during a Windows 7 osd in an SCCM 2012 R2 environment with a remote DP/PXE server. I understand this error: to occur when the boot images
does not have "Network drivers in the past Winpe version ( i.e. 3.0, 4.0), not Winpe 5.0 which has all the Network and storage drivers for Windows 7" or when Port fast is not enabled on the switch port the pxe device is plugged into. These two causes
stated here have been verified and confirmed not to be the cause in this case within the environment. The PXE boot device has ip-address (verified using ip-config, diskpart as well reveals the disk is online) and can ping the wds/pxe server and the sccm server.
Port fast is enabled on the switch port the device is plugged into. I am stuck on this one; as I could not ascertain the cause on this occasion.
Please see details below and I welcome any help any body can offer, thanks in advance guys!
Client – Winpe x64
Server - Windows Server 2008 R2 configured as a PXE / WDS / SCCM DP
Network - both devices on the same subnet
Problem: Client performs PXE boot, downloads Winpe without problems. Client then tries to download .var file. This is not successful and TFTP timeout is received. Error code in

Desktop Manager Download Times Out

Hi jacmax69 and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums!
Where are you downloading the software from? Try going to http://www.blackberry.com/go/softwaredownloads to download it. Also, when downloading, make sure to click Save and not Run. This will save the file in a specified location instead of running it from your temporary folder.
Let me know if this helps!

Downloads time out all the time
Every time I try to download an update for my iPhone or iPad, just about when the download is finished a pop up shows up saying my connection timed out and the down load stops. This has happened on multiple computers with wi-fi, dsl and air cards. Any ideas what the problem can be?
ThanksHave you tried dragging and dropping the iTunes file onto the Time Capsule, opening iTunes, trying to play a song, and when it pops up and says "We were unable to locate the file, would you like to locate it?", clicking locate, then going into the folder on the Time Capsule and selecting the file? That will make it reassociate everything that was "lost" when the folder moved, and I'd think it'd change the location of downloads as well.
Hope this helped!
