Solaris 5.8 (64-bit) - crash due to tail - 1 command

Question

Hi,
I have faced server crash problem which points to core dump because of tail -1 command in a script.
see below:

Further to the above, i would like to know what has caused the server panic with trap=31. I am glad to seek help from experts. Thanks in advance
