"DISPLAY=127.0.0.1:0.0" 이부분을 "DISPLAY=192.168.60.100:0.0" 으로 변경하고
"export DISPLAY=192.168.60.100:0.0 " 이부분을 추가 했습니다.
또 다른 터미널에서 "su root" 후 "#/usr/openwin/bin/xhost + 192.168.60.100 " 입력후
oracle 계정으로 된 터미널에서 "/Disk1" 밑에 있는 ./runInstaller 했는데 또 처음 처럼 진행이 안되고 있습니다.

  • Re-install software after uninstall with home using universal installer

    after uninstalling 10g software with home using universal installer how to re-install without deleting all components of database like the database exists i just want to put the oracle software on it and reusing x home location.

    Tofayel Ahmad wrote:
    when it about linux then what would be the job.re-installing software in linux or windows like establishing a new database Regardless of the OS, installing the software is distinct from "establishing" a database. You can install the software without creating a database, but you cannot create a database without having installed the software.
    so it's need time but for some missing services or few software components that would be a more costing. if there is a possible action that could restore the missing services in home. Huh?
    The concept of "services" in Windows doesn't exist in Linux.
    i thought it's would be great to startup the database in less time then installing. if i would install the software and using backup data file recover then is it a consistent recovery or inconsistent recovery.All recoveries that complete are consistent. Not all backups are consistent, but when you do a recovery, the redo stream is applied from the archivelog files to make the recovery "consistent".
    so when ever need to recover what should require for consistent recovery so that i can say without this all other type of recovery jobs are inconsistent.there is no such thing as "inconsistent" recovery. You are either able to recover from your backups, or you are not able to recover. If you are able to recover, you are "consistent". Now, mind you, that does NOT necessarily mean your recovery will recover all data up to the point of failure. your ability to do that depends on having all the necessary backups, including archivelogs and ultimately, intact online redo logs. Without that, the best you can do is a point-in-time recovery. But it will still be "consistent" with the point in time to which you recover.
    i am asking because as far i know i understand that no client would agree to go for inconsistent recovery. as i mentioned i am a new comer i have lot of confusion please if possible give some details. Well, I wouldn't agree to go for an inconsistent recovery, as no such thing exists. If you are talking about point-in-time recovery with potential data loss - it depends entirely on the client, the application, and the tolerance for data loss. Banking transactions cannot afford any loss of transaction data and so must have very robust systems with comprehensive, multi-level backups. Some other systems can be surprisingly forgiving.

    I am working on JAVA/J2EE . Am new to solaris9 . My requirement is to compile a source distribution of MOD-JK 1.2.21 (apache 2.0 server connector)and to produce binary distribution (*.so file) in solaris9 X86 box. But i got only source distribution of solaris10 X86 platform . Even with this source i tried to compile in solaris9 box its giving some error message and i can't able to make a executable file. Below i pasted the error message .

    Can any body help me in this regards. Even i don't know, am proceeding in right direction to compile this file. If any body having the binary distribution for the same MOD-JK1.2.21 on solaris9 or solaris10 X86 platform for apache2.0 . please help me to compile this file .I given below the config.log file entries also.

    You need to make sure the source is for the same version i.e. if you run apache 2.0.52 you need the source of 2.0.52. I successfully ran mixed installs, but I would not recommend it. You can download the required source from Apache.
    As for your compiler problem, make sure you have /usr/ccs/bin/ in the your path, if you do not have it installed you will have to add the pkg SUNWsprot. You do not have 'make' in yout path.
    Make sure you have the following packages installed:
    SUNWbtool, SUNWsprot, SUNWtoo
    SUNWhea, SUNWarc, SUNWlibm, SUNWlibms
    SUNWdfbh, SUNWcg6h, SUNWxwinc, SUNWolinc,

  • Is there certain version of Oracle can be installed on Solaris9-x86 system

    I want to setup a Oracle database system under Solaris9 x86-based platform for study. Anybody know is there certain version of Oracle can be installed on Solaris9-x86 system? If it is, where to download? I just have Solaris9 x86 version, who can tell where can I download Solaris8 x86 version??
    Thanks

    I've been reading lately about Apple's ongoing battle with Adobe over mobile apps and Flash. What I've gotten from all of it is that Apple wants to develop a mobile format replacement to Flash, and Adobe wants to block it. Apple's contention is that Flash is too bulky and consumptive for mobile apps and content. Apple has barred any mobile apps for iPhone and iPad from containing any Flash code, and Adobe says that has hurt their development of SDKs for people who want to make iPhone apps. It's turned into a regular peeing contest.
    I would have to assume that Apple iPhone, DROID, and Windows Mobile all have the same issue with Flash content and software, since they all have to fall within the standards for mobile communications in order to be "universally accessible" by all the companies that make PDAs, tablets, and phones.
    I've yet to see a Flash Player download for Windows Mobile, and given the current environment, with HTML 5 coming soon, it's not likely I will.

  • 10g Universal Installer kernel errors while installing on Solaris 5.10

    Hi all,
    I have been trying to install Oracle 10g on a Solaris 5.10 machine (32-bit) as per the official Oracle Documentation for a couple of days now. It seems that the Universal Installer fails it's pre-installation steps and throws up error at the following kernel parameters:
    Checking for shmsys:shminfo_shmmax=4294967295; found no entry. Failed <<<<
    Checking for shmsys:shminfo_shmmni=100; found no entry. Failed <<<<
    Checking for semsys:seminfo_semmni=100; found no entry. Failed <<<<
    Checking for semsys:seminfo_semmsl=256; found no entry. Failed <<<<
    Check complete. The overall result of this check is: Failed <<<<
    I have followed the Oracle Documentation which says to change the kernel parameters using the resource control facility. For this I already have a project "oracle" which the user "oracle" has been assigned to:
    $ id -ap oracle
    uid=100(oracle) gid=100(oinstall) groups=100(oinstall),101(dba) projid=100(oracle)
    Following are the snapshots from the prctl command on the current state of the kernel paramters:
    For Checking for shmsys:shminfo_shmmax=4294967295; found no entry. Failed <<<<
    $ prctl -n project.max-shm-memory -i project oracle
    project: 100: oracle
    NAME PRIVILEGE VALUE FLAG ACTION RECIPIENT
    project.max-shm-memory
    privileged 254MB - deny -
    system 16.0EB max deny -
    The Oracle recommended value is 4GB - I expect Universal Installer check to fail for this, so I change the parameter using the resource control facility by logging in as root in a new terminal and keeping one oracle session active.
    # prctl -n project.max-shm-memory -v 4gb -r -i project oracle
    I can see that the parameter has been set correctly when I do:
    $ prctl -n project.max-shm-memory -i project oracle
    project: 100: oracle
    NAME PRIVILEGE VALUE FLAG ACTION RECIPIENT
    project.max-shm-memory
    privileged 4.00GB - deny -
    system 16.0EB max deny -
    For Checking for semsys:seminfo_semmni=100; found no entry. Failed <<<<
    $ prctl -n project.max-sem-ids -i project oracle
    project: 100: oracle
    NAME PRIVILEGE VALUE FLAG ACTION RECIPIENT
    project.max-sem-ids
    privileged 128 - deny -
    system 16.8M max deny -
    The Oracle recommended value is 100 - I do not expect Universal Installer check to fail at this parameter
    For Checking for shmsys:shminfo_shmmni=100; found no entry. Failed <<<<
    $ prctl -n project.max-shm-ids -i project oracle
    project: 100: oracle
    NAME PRIVILEGE VALUE FLAG ACTION RECIPIENT
    project.max-shm-ids
    privileged 128 - deny -
    system 16.8M max deny -
    The Oracle recommended value is 100 - I do not expect Universal Installer check to fail at this parameter
    Also when I try to issue the command:
    $ prctl -n project.max-sem-nsems -i project oracle
    I get:
    prctl: failed to get resource control for project.max-sem-nsems: Invalid argument
    Oracle recommends I should set a value of 256.

    Now when I modify the kernel settings by editing the /etc/system file without even a reboot I'm can see all my Universal Installer Kernel checks as passed.
    Not sure if I'm missing out some crucial step while setting up the kernel parameter using the resource control facility?
    ~ Somjit

    It is bug in OUI.
    OUI is looking at /etc/system to check the kernel parameter settings, but this file is not used (by default) in Solaris 10
    It should check the kernel parameter settings using the prctl.
    Check metalink note 363436.1
    workaround is to
    ./runInstaller -ignoreSysPrereqs
    or as You already did, change /etc/system as well.

  • Source command on solaris9 x86

    I have ran every version of 'find' on my computer, and the 'source' command is not loaded. Is it not inclued in the Solaris9 x86 download? If not where can I get it?
    These are some of the commands I used(as root):
    find / file source | grep /source | grep -v /source/
    find / name source | grep /source | grep -v /source/
    which source
    I like to use the 'source' command to see how certain files react to changes I made without having to open a new shell. If there is another command that has replaced 'source' please let me know.
    Thank you.

    the "source" command is a built-in command in the C-shell /bin/csh, or in /bin/tcsh (so you won't find a file
    in the filesystem with name "source" to implement this built-in command).
    The bourne shell /bin/sh uses the "." (dot) command to read files from a script without forking a new shell
    interpreter.

  • Solaris9 x86 problem with network cards, ACPI, IRQs

    Hello!
    For the last two days I've been trying to solve the problem of Solaris9 x86 not being able to use my network card. I have tried with 3c905CX-TX-M, RealTek 8139 and Realtek 8029 and none of them works. The problem is the following:
    Everything is properly configured, networking etc., but the cards can only send and cannot receive packets. When trying to ping, the packets leave the NIC but none of the reponses are detected by NIC. When I check with 'kstat elxl' I can see that 'intr' is zero, and out_packets is increasing as it's sending packets.
    From the discussion forum I can see that this same problem has been known for several years. One of the conclusions is that Solaris x86 sucks at dealing with IRQ setup and that the best thing is to disable ACPI and 'PnP OS' option in BIOS. However, I've tried all releases of AMI bios and none them has neither of those options. I have played with various priority levels in BIOS but all that has accomplished is that the card, when first started, captures a few interrupts/packets but then stops again. This is usually just enough to finish the ARP exchange (arp -a shows the remote host).
    And of course, all the cards work just fine in WindowsXP and Linux. And all the cards work nice in another PC which runs the same Solaris 9 x86.
    My motherboard is Gigabyte 7VTXE. (The other one in which it works is ASUS P2B-DS).
    I would really appreciate help!
    Josip

    I had almost identical problem today on an HP Kayak - which happened to be dual CPU one. The fix
    set pcplusmp:apic_forceload = -1
    in /etc/system worked for me. The only drawback is that it also leaves the machine single CPU. AFAIK this (downloadable) S9x86 kit is licensed only for one CPU anyway, so I wonder if something has been fixed in the code to make sure it is not run on multi-CPU systems. Before the fix, mpstat showed thousands of interrupts on CPU0, both CPUs were constantly busy at about 70% and there was no network connection on a number of cards I tried (3Com 90x - elxl, Intel iprb, another one with Realtek 8139 was never recognized, so I did not bother too much to find if there is a fix for this); pinging out resulted in the hub port light blinking, nothing comes back.
    Anyway, the fix is good enough to test s9 for now; everything else seemed to be OK. If it may be of some use for somebody, don't go into the disk option of the Solaris Management Console; the machine in question had Windows 2003 server (RC2) installed before Solaris9, the disk tool decided that there was no label on the disk and asked to write it on; I clicked the 'cancel' button, but the partition table was irreversibly damaged, so I had to start from installing W2k3. My guess is that tool has been tested only with Sparc, so there is no issue with BIOS level partitioning there. BTW, system info of the SMC insists that the CPUs are Sparcs...

  • Universal Installer Dies on 10g on Windows 2000 SP4

    Hi,
    Windows2000, SP4
    I have downloaded Oracle 10g Database, Client and Companion CD. I managed to install the Client and to run the Companion installer - which I could not conclude obviously without a 10g Database installed.
    However, the installation of the 10g Database itself failed, three steps into the Universal Installer. I have started the OUI, used several settings for Oracle_Home and the target directory, chosen both Enterprise Edition and Standard Edition, but each time the OUI dies after (or at the end of) "Specify installion types" - it simply vanishes. I have downloaded the zip-file again, but with the same result. I have also tried the OUI included with the 10g Client and the 10g Companion, but still the same result. Now warning/error-log etc.
    Does anyone has any ideas?
    thanks a lot!

  • Universal Installer Error during Product Prerequisite checks

    Hello everyone !
    First to say, I'm a newbie with Linux. So please be kind with me.
    I'm trying to install Oracle Database 10gR2 on my newly installed redhat 5 enterprise linux client release 5.2 .
    After solving some issues with missing packets I'm now confronted with a new problem after having successfully launched Oracle Universal Installer. OUI tells me, that "Oracle Database 10g is not certified on the current operating system". More precise :

    Actual Result: redhat-Red Hat Enterprise Linux Client release 5.2 (Tikanaga)

    Can anyone help ?
    Best regards,

    Oracle 10gR2 is not certified on EL5 when it was released.
    you can run
    runInstaller -ignoreSysPrereqs

    Thanks for the replies...
    FYI.
    I have cloned an Oracle 9i database on a DR test server.
    Now I am installing Oracle Application server 10g Forms and Reports (9.0.4) on Solaris 5.10
    This is using a Oracle CD which is for Solaris 5.9 but using twp patches supplied by oracle to run the CD from. So it is able to run on Solaris 5.10. It has been done before but by some past DBA some 5 years ago. This is the first time I am attempting this being a new employee here.
    I have implemented these suggestions.
    Especially the fact that it was looking for a gunzip utuility which it couldn't find. To make it easirer Ij ust copied the gunzip utility to the place it was looking for, and renamed it unzip. As it was loooking for unzip
    This worked and passed through.
    Created the temp temp directory as welll so it would not have issues in not writting to the tmp directory.
    The error I'm getting is below
    bash-3.2$ pwd

  • Oracle Universal Installer version  10.10.4.0. Production

    Hello I am currently a student learning to use this software and I downloaded 'Oracle SOA Suite 10g Software Downloads' from the link
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/tech/webservices/index.html
    but I cannot log into sql plus and after opening forms builder? I also realize that with this universal intaller I did not have the option to set a username or password? Did I download something wrong? any suggestions? Thank you...

    Hi,
    please explain exactly what you try to do? The Universal Installer is just for installing Oracle SW. If you installed the mentioned SW from your link you installed the Oracle SOA Suite. I think that you used the basic installation which comes with an Oracle Lite database which is not accessable via sqlplus. If you want to access a database you have to download a Oracle database from OTN.
