"Solarize" not working - simple mistake? (I'm using CS3, btw)
I'm following the tutorial "Light Burst" with PhotoShop Essentials (http://www.photoshopessentials.com/) and am on page 3, Step 8 where I am supposed to go to Filters> Stylize>Solarize and I can't get it to work. I have started over at least a dozen times, I have checked everything I can think of to check that I might have missed, but I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm new at this, so my guess is that it's a simple mistake but if someone could point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it. There following are 2 other discrepancies b/w MY work and PS Essentials guidelines BEFORE step 8 that may be linked to why Step 8 isn't working for me.
Step 3 - I am supposed to add my text and increase the font size by using the Transform tool and Shift Option to resize it. I have tried that but the font doesn't change sizes. It changes it's location on the page. So what I did was change the font size manually by highlighting it and increasing the numbers in the font size box on the top of the page (like it was a Windows document in Microsoft Word). [Any ideas how to do this correctly?]
Step 6, it says to go to Edit>Fill and then "when the dialog box appears, set the Contents to White and change the Blending Mode to Multiply... if you look at your text layer's thumbnail in the Layers palette, you'll see that all of the empty space around the text has now been filled with white, while leaving the text black thanks to that "Multiply" mode." That is the 2nd difference - no white around the text in my text layer's thumbnail in the Layers palette.
Step 8 is what has me pulling my hair out. It sounds simple. Filters>Stylize>Solarize ... but nothing happens. Please help.
I gave up yesterday, frustrated, after working all day on it. But after you replied, I decided to fresh again today. I started a new document, and carefully read through each step and ... (drum roll, please), I DID it! I realized today that I was deleting the Layer thumbnail that pops up after Step 5 because I wasn't working in that one and it automatically switched me into it but it wasn't the layer I was supposed to be in. So to keep from accidentally working in it, I would delete it. I figured I didn't need it yet, so no reason to keep it. I left it alone this time ... and I was able to get the black screen around my text when working in the other layer.
It feels like the world's stupidest mistake ... but I am so GLAD to have finally figured out the problem!

I have just downloaded Yosemite but I find that Photoshop Elements 11 does not work properly. If I use a tool like a paint brush or spot healer I cannot paint a full stroke does anyone else have this issue or know a solution?

Flash player 11.0.1.152 not working on all sites. Using Mac OS 10.5.8
What am I missing? Flash didn't work properly on previous version either. I use google chrome primarily but flash does not work on all sites using Firefox or Safari either. I have a Macbook Pro operating on 10.5.8. I'm sure it's probably a simple fix but I just haven't found it. Appreciate any help on the matter.
I have spent countless hours trying to get my flash player working and have tried EVERY kind of possible answer through many forums and websites to solve this. Does adobe have anything currently that will solve this flash player problem?? I have the lastest version of Safari 5.1.1. and I have the lastest version of adobe flash player 11.0.1.152, I have even tried the debugging installs adobe put out for flash player. I have tried the "working around lion flash player video thing" where you try private browsing. I have tried going into system preferences and entering into the flash player settings in the storage tab the allow this sites, etc. NOTHING HAS WORKED!! I still get my local storage pop up message whenever I try and watch a you tube or any site that has flash video on it, that flash player settings box still pops up and is stuck on my screen and I cant click allow or deny or get it off. So many people I have read have the same problem and I only the same answers pop up that I have tried again and again, does anyone have a real resolve to this yet??? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP.

Why Dynamic Parameter is not working, when i create report XI using stored procedure ?
Only i shaw those parameters which i used in my stored procedure, the parameter which i create dynamic using stored procedure
is not shown to me when i referesh the report for viewing the results.
I have used the same procedure which i mention below but can not seen the last screen which is shown in this .

Dynamic Parameters in Action
My question is that whether dynamic parameter is working with storedprocedure or not.
When i added one table and try to fetch records using dyanmic prameters. after that i am not be able to find the dynamic parameter option when i referesh my report.
One more thing when i try the static parameter for my report, the option i see when i referesh the screen.

I have tested the issue step by step by following you description, while the first issue works well in my local environment. Based on my research, this can be caused by the lookup expression or it indeed return Male value based on the logic. If you use the
expression below, it will indeed only return the Male record. So please try to double-check the record in the two datasets and the expression in your environment:
=lookup(first(Fields!ProgramID.Value,"DataSet1"),Fields!ProgramID.Value,Fields!Gender.Value,"DataSet2")
As to the second issue, please try to use the following expression:
=Count(Lookup(fields!ProgramID.value,fields!ProgramID.value,fields!Gender.value,"DataSet2"))

New rule is not working from 'ojaudit' though I use loadSet="Audit"
When customizing new rules in audit framework using the Jdev Extensions API, I used the below content in extension.xml file.

The new rules created are executing only when I audit from Jdev UI. But these are not executing when I use this new rule in 'ojaudit' at command line.
How can we achieve this?
Is there anything to modify in my extension.xml file?
There is a case where it works both from UI and ojaudit, but it is not working always. That is in my case just observer the above code:
If I dont use loadSet="Audit" in <addin> tag, this rule executes only in UI when auditing but it wont execute when I use 'ojaudit' at command line. And when I use the attribtue loadSet="Audit", only a few times it is executing for 'ojaudit' at cmd line.
Is this inconsistent a bug?
And could you suggest me how the ojaudit works?
And could you point out any documentation of how the ojaudit works? I mean the flow ?

Date parameter does not work in SharePoint 2010 report using SQL 2008 Server Reporting Service
Here is the settings:
SharePoint 2010 with SQL server 2008 reporting services configured
When create a report for a SP list using SQL server report builder (3.0) the date parameter does not work.
The data parameter is set as "date and time" type and field name equals the col name in the SP list
When run the report, the whatever dates I select, the result is always the same, so the parameters do not take any effect.
Is any step missing?

Have you tested if other type parameter worked?
Have you tried typing the date format as 20140722 in your date parameter filed before run the report?

I recently built a new pc and everything has worked besides this. I have tried for a month to figure out what is the problem. No matter what I do I cannot get my mic in skype to work. The mic functions in everything but skype and it worked with skype on my old pc. The only thing that happens when I click on mic in audio settings is a one second green bar then nothing.

I have gone into sounds and messed around with recording devices
I have uninstalled and reinstalled skype ( I'm using the current version)
The mic works with everything but skype.
I would really appreciate some help with this issueI have had similar issues with mine, happens mainly if I transfer songs and then decide to disconnect my iPod to listen to them with my IEMs (I use Interenet Explorer in my case and it is not neccessarely up when this happens, so I seriously doubt it is an issue conencted to the web browser). I have no patience for this so my trick is I try to eject it from iTunes, if that does not work, then I bring Windows explorer up, right mouse click on the iPod mounted drive and select Eject. It gives me the same warning but there is a third button selection called Continue. When I choose that it just disconnets the drive anyway and the iPod is finally disconnected. It seems to work each and every time I do it so this solution is fine for me. Would be intersting to see what the real root cause of this is because I started getting this problem with the newer iTunes 11.
