Sold IPOD, how to register under new owner?

Hey hello, thank you for your time.
I have a question, hope someone can help me.
I just sold my IPOD photo 20g to someone, how do I unregister this IPOD from my name and register under that person's name? I read somewhere in one of the posts that I should call Apple, is that the only way?
Could someone please advise?
Thanks alot.
Cheers,
Shawn

I'm going to need to know this too...maybe he'll want to buy apple care [my warranty has expired]

  • How to register a new responsibility in apps through backend. please give me the full details about it

    how to register a new responsibility in apps through backend. please give me the full details about it

    Hi,
    From backend you can add a responsibility to a user using FND_USER_PKG package, and there are so many hit in the google. Let me point out 1:
    http://manoharbabuapps.blogspot.com/2013/08/how-to-add-responsibility-from-back-end.html
    I personally dont know of any API where you can create a responsibility from backend, but from front end you can create. Steps detailed in following link:

  • How to register a new list of JDBC driver to ODI?

    Hi Guys,
    How to register a new list of JDBC driver to appear on ODI?
    exam :
    When I defined a new master repository that resides on MSSQL 2005
    I already had sqljdbc.jar (This is mssql2005 jdbc driver) on the ..\oracledi\drivers
    But when I browsed jdbc driver list it will not appear any new driver we just put them in the driver folder.
    I knew this is a common issue.
    So I need to manually define a driver class and url to match exactly with the jdbc document say for sqljdbc.jar
    which is
    Driver Class : com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver
    URL : jdbc:sqlserver://localhost:1084
    I think that the driver list will have to store in somewhere in the xml files OR some records on the master repository database.
    But where ?
    Because I saw the new list driver (Microsoft SQL Server 2005 driver for JDBC) on the vmware image that I had (actually it is ODI Training workshop VMware Image).
    But I don't know where to looks.
    Here are some proof that they actually appear in the driver list
    [Original MSSQL 2000 Driver List|http://img.ihere.org/uploads/1f6d1601bb.png]
    [New MSSQL 2005 Driver List|http://img.ihere.org/uploads/94cc91e1ac.png]
    How comes?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi CTS !
    Then, its impossible add new drivers into ODI ? So, if I need to add a driver and this exist in Oracle list drivers, what can I do in this case ?
    I have problems with Oracle JDBC driver in ODI. When I try generate web services the "Not suitable driver" message is shown. In Design, module part, when i generate web service i have the "*name of data source*" field and I put into "oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver". Ok, this isn´t a correct sintax, then I read in this manual "*note that the name of the data source must be consistent with the entries in context.xml and web.xml, prefixed with:java:/comp/env/*".
    Ok, In other post (Re: Not found web.xml and content.xml files into ODI folders
    you said me only necessary to change the web.xml and context.xml is only necessary if I use Tomcat. Then, how to discover a correct sintax to put into this field and generate my web service ?
    Best regards,
    Joao.

  • How to register a new docicon/progid using CSOM/SharePoint Client object model

    I know how to register a new file-type icon in SharePoint 2013 by modifying docicon.xml,
    but is it possible via any sort of web-based API? Specifically I'm trying to do it for a SharePoint Online/office 365 site.

    Hi Dylan,
    For SharePoint Online, the docicon.xml is stored in the SharePoint online Server and there is no such Web API could modify the xml file directly, so there is no easy way to achieve it.
    As a workaround, you can add some JavaScript and Jquery in the master page to modify the file type icon to the new one.
    <script>
    var IMGs = document.getElementsByTagName("IMG")
    for (var i=0; i<IMGs.length; i++)
    var alt=IMGs[i].alt;
    if (alt.substring(alt.length-4,alt.length)==".pdf")
    IMGs[i].src="/yourlibrary/yourimage.gif";
    </script>

  • My device registered under another apple ID, how to register under my ID

    My device registered under another apple ID, how to register under my ID

    Unfortunately, you can't transfer purchases from one Apple ID to another.

  • How to register a new Bundle ID?

    How can this be done at the moment?
    Whenever I go to the link in ITC (see below)

    Is this a result of the 'hacking' incident?
    Is there another way?

    Is no-one able to advise me how to register a new BundleID?

  • New computer won't take songs from ipod, how to register new computer?

    My hard drive crashed, I had to buy a new one. All my songs were on my old drive. Except for what is in my ipod. I bought a new hard drive, but haven't had the $$ to have files removed from old drive yet. Installed itunes onto new drive, plugged in Ipod and it says it will either replace all 400 songs from my pod with the 1 song in my new itunes, or it can only take itunes purchased songs from my pod, which is only about 5% of my songs on my pod at the moment. How do I register my new pod to my new harddrive??? Help!

    Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you use our iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod
    Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. The transfer of content sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:
    Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes
    Comparison of iPod managers
    TuneJack Windows Only
    iPod2PC Windows Only
    iGadget Windows Only
    iDump Windows Only
    SharePod Windows Only
    iPodRip Mac & Windows
    YamiPod Mac and Windows
    Music Rescue Mac & Windows
    iPodCopy Mac and Windows
    iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
    iPod Access Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
    The transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
    There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
    Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

  • How to register a new MacBook using info I entered in the startup program?

    I just opened my new MacBook for the first time and the startup program walked me through entering a bunch of information and connecting to my old iBook to transfer data. And the end of the process it tried to register me with Apple but my internet connection was down and it told me I couldn't register now. It left me instructions for how to register later using the info I already typed in. I did not write down these instructions. Instead I clicked 'continue' and lost them forever.
    Does anyone know how to register after the startup program has quit? I found register.apple.com but it requires me to re-enter all my data. Ignoring from the fact that I've spent more time typing this question than I would have re-typing my name and address, it bugs me that I can't find the menu or dialog box that I could swear the startup program told me to use to send my saved info.
    Any advice?
    Thanks

    Usually there's a shortcut in your new user's Home folder called "Register with Apple" (or something similar to that) of the original registration fails. To open your user's Home folder, press Apple-shift-H from the Desktop. Can you see the shortcut there?
    Just so you know, you don't need to register to receive any technical support or warranty support from Apple. Registering with Apple, I believe, helps their Marketing Department, but you don't need to register for support or help.

  • Purchased iphone and its still registered under previous owner and don't/can't find out the needed info. how can I activate with my info?

    I purchased and Apple Iphone 4S 8g from a girl and it is still linked to her boyfriends Apple ID. He is in basic training and can not be contacted to find out the needed information to unhook the phone from his Find my Iphone. How can I go around needing that info to activate the phone under me so it can be used? I have already tried the Forgot passcode for your iphone and successfully restored the phone but it didnt fix the needing Apple ID of previos owner problem.

    You need to send the person who set the lock these instructions and get that person to follow them. If neither the person who set the lock nor the device's original owner can be reached, it's useless to you.
    Apple won't remove the lock for anyone other than the device's original owner. The activation lock is an anti-theft measure.

  • HT2534 How to register a new apple id?

    I bought a second hand ipad 2.but when i tried to download a free game.the apple id of the original owner appeared.how can i replace his id?it keeps on appearing.pls help me.thanks in advance.

    Any downloaded content that is currently on the iPad will be tied to the original owner's account, and they can't be copied or transferred to yours (and you won't be able to copy that content to your computer unless that account is authorised on it) - you are better off resetting back to factory defauts (Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Settings) and starting as from new with it.

  • Custom Delivery Channel - How to register under BI Pub Enterprise, oc4j

    I'm trying to register my custom delivery channel in BI Publisher Enterprise with the .
    I copied my custom jar "customchannel.jar" file under :
    D:\OracleBI\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\applications\xmlpserver\xmlpserver\WEB-INF\lib
    I modified the file xdodelivery.cfg by adding :
    customdeliverychannel.FileDeliveryRequestFactory
    This file is located under
    D:\OracleBI\xmlp\XMLP\Admin\Delivery
    I also copied it under D:\OracleBI\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\applications\xmlpserver\xmlpserver\resource
    When I burst a report, I have the message :"Unknown delivery Channel"...meaning my custom channel is not registered, I assume...
    My bursting request is to me ok.
    Do you have an idea to solve my issue?
    have you ever implemented custom delivery channel in BI Publisher Entreprise?
    Thank you in advance.

    Thank you Ike. I'm looking at the bursting documentation and it appears as though you can reference the out of the box delivery channels in the config, but is it possible to reference a custom delivery channel in the bursting config? I tried a sample and I'm getting an "unknown delivery channel error"...
    select
    b.product as KEY,
    b.template_name as TEMPLATE,
    'RTF' as TEMPLATE_FORMAT,
    'en-US' as LOCALE,
    b.format as OUTPUT_FORMAT,
    *'customDelivery' as DEL_CHANNEL,*
    'C:\Temp' as PARAMETER1,
    b.product & '.' & b.format as PARAMETER2
    from
    bursting_configuration b
    In my example custom delivery is defined in xdodelivery.cfg
    <channels>
    <channel name="customDelivery">com.test.bip.delivery.FileDeliveryRequestFactory</channel>
    </channels>
    </config>
    The jar file is in
    \oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\applications\xmlpserver\xmlpserver\WEB-INF\lib
    Any ideas?

  • My Ipod has been registered under different account what can I do?

    I bought an Ipod Classic about 2 yrs ago while living with a friend. This was the 1st apple product I had ever owned so was very un savy on the operation and use of it. He said that he would add me onto his account and we could both just pay for downloads onto the various devices linked to that account. I have since lost contact with this person and when I have gone to setup my own account with a new Iphone recently purchased, I find the Ipod is still linked to his account. I have several thousand files on this ipod which I paid for not sure what I can do to put it onto my account. Wanted to share the music from my Ipod onto my Iphone aswell but after reading many bloggs it seems that this may not be possible. Can someone please advice me what the best option for me to do is?
    P.S. Sorry fo my ignorance.

    There is no account to put the iPod on.
    The media on the device is permanently tied to the Apple ID that it was acquired with.
    If you want the media, purchase it yourself.

  • How to register?

    I can't figure out how to register my new wireless mighty mouse. I've searched in all of the categories on the registration form but none of them list it.
    Can someone point me in the right direction?
    Thanks!

    Hello mind:
    I do not speak for Apple, but I do not think that the company maintains a database of components (no registration). If you had a warranty issue, you would simply produce a receipt showing date of purchase.
