Mich subur got 15 in and 50 people were outside waiting at 8 am, this is a small store - the store is all dressed up for the 3G release and no iphones, They told me 7 days maybe and I could buy one and wait until they get more. What a joke! The ATT folks said it was all Apples fault
Every store is sold out, I think Verizon, T mobile and Sprint need to take some Apple marketing classes!

Wait. As per the suggestion in my previous post. There is after all, already an iPhone with 128GB capacity. Technically therefore, that would suggest that it is possible to produce a replacement for the Classic. But since I have no inside knowledge of anything Apple are planning, don't quote me on that!
Work on the basis that since your iPod is only "on its last legs" rather than "not working at all", it still has a useful purpose. Maybe by the time it does stop working, suggestion 1 will have come to pass.
I have no practical suggestion for avoiding a touch screen, it's the modern way!
Of course, if all else fails, and you end up with an iPod that has less capacity than your Library, you could resort to using Smart Playlists to manage your iPod, by using them to add and remove songs (for example, ones recently played that you don't want to hear for a while) and thereby keeping the songs on the iPod within its capacity. If that interests you, please ask and I'll explain it in more detail.

Hi Grum,
If the formulas aren't filling to the new column, you must have changed something in the template since you first opened it. Numbers is rather fussy about filling row content in columns as they are added. Only rows with the same expression in every Body Column will fill when a column is added. Just as an experiment, start a new Employee Schedule document from the Template Chooser and then add a column by clicking the Add Column handle in the upper right corner of the table. If that works, as it should, then think about what might have changed in your working document to disconnect that feature. Maybe we can figure it out together.

ICloud calendar times out by one hour

My iCal is fine, this is where I usually enter my info.
iCloud is one hour behind, I have entered the correct time zone. It doesn't matter where I access my iCloud from it is still out by one hour.
I did take some screenshotsof both calendars to demonstrate but the content was not 'allowed' to be uploaded, whatever that means. Any ideas

Well, I finally figured it out myself. It is not very intuitive. By double-clicking on the account name in the upper right of the main iCloud window (in one's browser), one can change the time zone. However, by itself that will not cause anything to appear differently. Nor will telling iCloud to refresh the calendar. It is necessary to logout of iCloud and then log back in. That sets all events in the right time zone.

Iphone sold out in 2 hours as soon corporate at&t stores opens

Very bad marketing by apple. They could sell 10 mill in 3 days maybe even more but i guess they didn't make enough phones. They start selling iphone in 22 countries on july 11 but could not even supply enough for USA. All iphones was sold out in 2 hours. Look on the ebay, they going as much as $1200.00 a piece, is about 5700 listings.

Same thing here in Central Florida. They only had 15 iPhones in stock and were sold out early morning. Funny thing is that they are not selling any other phones besides iPhones today. Guess it is gonna be a quiet day for ATT store employees!

ICal One Hour Out

Since the change to DST i keep receiving meeting invites from Entourage which post themselves in iCal one hour in advance of the actual meeting time.
All my settings are correct, the DST patch is installed as it is on all the other Macs sending the invites.
Any idea how to fix?

Sold Out in Southbury, Ct.

My wife and I arrived at the local AT&T store at 7:30am and were told by an employee that the store had 60 phones. There were about 25 people ahead of us so we waited in line. AT&T was letting 3 people at a time into the store. Some 20-30 minutes later those customers were coming out of the store, some with phones and some without. As we got closer to the front of the line people were coming out of the store saying that they had ran out of white 16Gs, then soon it was "out of all 16Gs". After waiting for 3 hours to get in my wife was the one to get the last iPhone that they had - an 8G. I had to order my 16G and was told that they'll call me in 1-2 weeks when it comes in. I still had to pay upfront for the phone. So the bottom line is that we were told that there were 60 phones but they sold out at 25 phones! It would have been better if an employee had gone through the line asking each person which model they wanted, then comparing it to their in-store inventory and telling people that wanted certain models that they were out. I'm happy for my wife for getting the last iPhone but I feel bad for the 20-30 people behind us still waiting at the store just to order it!

We are all iphone users. There is no possible way for anyone here to know the answer to your question.
You would have to ask the local official sellers of the iphone.

I went to get mine on July 13 and found out the iPhone was sold out. The store clerk at the AT&T store in the mall said next week it'll probably be in. So next week is here and still sold out. One guy got ahead of me however and asked that question. Unfortunately the store clerk had no clue at all when it'll be in.
I went to another AT&T I found non-malled and that guy told me "3 Weeks" from today (set a pre-order up too). Anyone else try to get their phones recently to find out it's sold out until August?

It seems that the Apple stores are getting them in faster than at&t. Your profile doesn't say where you are, so I don't know how close you are to an Apple store, but here's what I did to get mine the night before last.
I called the local stores (I have two within 20 minutes of me) about an hour before they closed to check on the stock and the line. Since most people show up in the morning and go home once they run out, I often find that the stores have had a delivery during the day that has not sold out. Since that stock doesn't show up on Apple's availability page until after they close, most people don't know about until then, and they show up the next morning.
It turned out that one of the stores I called had the model I wanted in stock, and had a very short line (4 people). So I jumped in the car and hustled over there. Ended up the 3rd and final person in line (they cut the line off before they close so they can get everyone done by closing) and I got their last 16GB Black.
I got lucky and this worked my first try. Depending on how many stores are close to you and how much stock they're getting, it may take a little longer.
Note that I have heard that if are a current at&t customer and you have a Foundation Account Number (FAN, see your online account management page), which is an employer/organization sponsored discount program, Apple won't see you the phone. So I called and had mine removed before I started my search. Once I had the phone, I re-enrolled in the program.

Mainstage/Kontakt disaster in front of sold out venue

Hi. I played a fairly huge sold out debut show for a new act I'm working with last saturday and halfway through the last song, the samples I was triggering in kontakt within mainstage started to act very strangely. They basically started to get glitchy and play out of time, so that a sample from previous bars was still playing a few bars later, out of time. They were also strangely slowing down and speeding up.
Luckliy I've set up my controller keyboard to have a panic/all notes off button so I was able to put a stop to the terrible sound pretty fast, but after a few attempts at continuing I eventually had to stop and let the band finish without me.
Its an act that I'm the producer for, and as such, a huge ammount of the music was coming from my laptop. The track in which this happened was one with loud drums, bass etc. so it could have been a lot worse. For example, some of the earlier tracks in the set that are slow, electronic, production heavy ballads, where the singer would have been left pretty much on her own. No one likes an angry singer.
We're debuting this act in another city this weekend and I have to figure out how I can guarantee this will not happen again. However I'm finding it difficult to replicate the problem, which makes it very difficult to diagnose or fix.
The only other time it has happened was an hour or so before the gig, but I had no choice at the time but to hope for the best as I was unable to provide any other solution under the circumstances.
Today I've been trying to replicate the problem by pushing my computer to the limit and replaying the songs in my studio. I've currently got 23 applications running in the background (including things like photoshop and final cut). I thought that if it was a cpu or memory problem then surely this would recreate the issue - on the gig I had nothing else running. So far, mainstage is struggling a bit and some of the samples are cutting out prematurely, but there is not the same slow down, speed up warped sound - which is much worse than samples just cutting out.
My setup is as follows:
     MacBook Pro 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7 with 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3 (purchased late 2012)
     OSX 10.8.5 (I've created an extra startup partition to test Mavericks with my live setup but don't feel ready yet to use it live)
     Mainstage 3.0.1
     Kontakt 5.2.0.6361
     Not many plugins - mostly logic.
...Triggered by an Akai MPK61 midi keyboard/pads
.....Going out through a Native Instruments Audio4 DJ interface.
     Within mainstage I have only 5 songs, most of which have 2 instances of Kontakt - 1 running "Piano in Blue" and one with multiple production samples stacked (on separate kontakt "instruments") which are triggered sometimes quite a few at the same time. I would have thought this wasn't a problem as 1 x kontakt playing 10 or so audio samples at the same time is no where near as complicated as a seriously multisampled instrument like "Piano In Blue". Theres also one track using Arturia Prophet V2 and also 2 instances of the TAL U-NO synth on a song that we didn't play.
Also, I've used mainstage with a number of other bands over the last few years with HEAPS more stuff going on and haven't encounted this problem.... This is probably only my 2nd or 3rd gig with version 3 however....
So I'm looking for suggestions of things I can do before this weekend to make sure mainstage doesn't make me look like a ******** again in front of thousands of people (thanks mainstage).
A few ideas I have are:
     Try to replicate the issue by loading my cpu to the max (doing this currently)
     Reinstall Mainstage
     Clean install operating system
     Delete pref database files (?)
     Repair permisions
     Put samples on dedicated partition (?)
     Turn off airport (I seem to recall this may cause issues with MS)
     Use a simpler, logic piano sound
     Simplify samples so theres only one or two playing at any one time...
If anyone can help me out with suggestions/solutions I'd be very grateful!!

OK, I've managed to recreate the problem after about 4 hrs of playing through songs and mucking around. I now think its to do with My CPU heating up or bad memory or buffer settings...
Heres what I've established:
     Once a song/patch starts to glitch it gradually gets worse until its pretty much just garbled static, and then it stays like that until I reset things somehow. I have a plugin for logic called "buffer overide", and this noise sounds a lot like that....
     Strangely, if I switch to another song in the same mainstage session, that song is fine but then switching back to the effected song, its still garbled.
     The fan on my computer goes on full bore when this is happening.
     The first thing I tried was changing the sample rate setting to 48kHz which fixed it and then back to 44.1. Both fine for a while but I think thats because when you click Apply changes it reloads everything.
     My activity monitor is looking pretty extreme (although I'm not an expert on reading this)... I'm guessing that CPU usage at 630% is a lot right?
Here is a pic of the 2 instances of Kontakt in the effected song. You can see that on the "piano in blue" instrument the CPU meter is maxed (and stays that way) and when I trigger a sound the (word) disk in the disk meter flashes which apparently means something to do with the "preload buffer".
I've done an OSX "hardware test" which came back fine.....

There's only a few things that could be my passcode, but because it disables for an hour, it is time consuming trying to figure it out. What do I do? I do not care about having to erase everything since it's new and there's nothing on it, but it was never synced with iTunes.

Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

My time capsule change the time on ALL my files by one hour.

On the 29th December all the files on my time capsule went out of sync with my mac by one hour. I use it for backup. I have other backups on a Lacie drive and these were all OK but because it went forward in time my syncronise software saw them all as changes and started copying from the time capsule to my iMac. I stopped it and after recovering the damage it had done I proceeded to copy ALL my data back to the time capsule to reset the syncronise error.
Its been OK since then but this morning it all went wrong again. It started by my backup failing because the network share was not accessable so I went into my backup scripts(chronosync) and reselected the backup drive. I then did a trial sync and lo and behold the whole lot is back out of sync again and this time they have gone back in time.
Did we enter British summer time in the middle of winter or did the earth tilt on its access and caused the UK to be in The NEtherlands? Or did Apple do something that I cant resolve.
Anyone else having similar problems? Ive been googling this and thought I had found it by installing Airport Uitlity 5.6 but I cant do that as I have upgraded all my machines to MOuntain Lion and its not compatible. I think on 5.6 you can adjust the time zone setting.
I need to tell the time capsule which time zone it is in and all shoudl be OK

Thanks for that - Airport utility 5.6 is now working but I cannot see anything wrong. It possibly went wrong on the 29th December and has just gone back to normal again so I think I will have to let the backup recopy all the files.
I looked in the logs and found
No Address for NTP server time.apple.com. and then on Jan 08 at 09:49:38 I got
Clock synchronized to network time server time.apple.com (adjusted +3597 seconds). (thats my hour!!!)
Question no is why - could be a DNS problem but why on the 29th and back on the 8th Jan.
Nothing changed in my network router, maybe something at the ISP.
Anyway now copying all the data back to the time capsule.
By the way I have my DNS as my router 192.168.1.1 and 208.67.222.222 - when I look at my router the DNS is 8.8.8.8 and 4.4.4.4 which is what my ISP told me to use. Maybe I should put 8.8.8.8 and 4.4.4.4 in the DNS for the time capsule?

I-Cal -- Appointments one hour off

i-cal on i-phone is advancing all of my scheduled appointments by one hour. The i-cal on my i-mac has the correct appointment time, but the i-phone puts all of my appointments one hour ahead of their scheduled time. I missed two events today until I figured out what was happening.

On your iphone go to settings -> general -> date and time.
Make sure that the date, time and time zone is set correctly.
If so, try turning time zone support off, and correct date and time settings.
Go back to the home screen.
Power the iphone off and back on.
Check to see if the time for events is still an hour off.

I have an issue with my report,its taking more than one hour for execution.
This report is called through an package,in package there are cursors which retrive data and sends to mail.The problem is with this select statement in cursor,its taking a lot of time to retrive the data.

Before you add any indexes to the listed tables, check with Oracle support to ensure you will be violating your Oracle Enterprise Business Suite agreement. Oracle has specific rules on modifying EMS tables. Additionally, any EBS patch or update that gets applied will likely drop any custom changes to these tables. It might be better for you to open a Service Request with Oracle Support and have them tell you how to improve the performance of your query since all of your tables are EBS tables.

To be honest, I didn’t think there would be much interest in a re-release of the previous Halo games on the Xbox One, but this title seems to be generating a lot of hype! I am sorry to hear about the issues that you had trying to pre-order for in-store pickup.
I tried to pre-order this title for in-store pickup at my local store and everything seemed to be fine and it was available, so I’m guessing that the store you wanted to pre-order at had already hit their threshold limit for reserves of the game.
