SolMan 7.1 standard text in email

Dear All,
we are using SolMan 7.1 and we want to manually send out emails for example from a change request by using standard text.
If I click on the standard text button currently the emails stays empty, is there a possibility and if yes how to change the standard text or to use even more email templates?

Hi,
I hope this is the correct forum for this question.
I've created some standard texts (via SO10) for correspondence in the recruitment module (PA-RC), when I send this to a candidate it produces an email with a PDF document which has the correspondence but the body of the email is empty (other than the attachment). Does anyone know how, or have any suggestions on how to either input the content of the PDF into the body of the email, or how to generate some text in the body?
I've had a look through the forums and can only see this question asked by others, but with no resoultion.

Hi,
Standard text is "<b>client depedent</b>". ( so is SAPScript )
You can transport it with two different ways.
[1]. Program <b>RSTXTCPY</b>
[2]. Create a manual transport of standard text. For this follow these steps.
- Go to transaction SE10. Create a transport request ( workbench ) and task under it.
- Select task and hit button "Disply object list (Shift + F11)".
- On the next screen, switch to change mode.
- Hit button "New entries".
- Now create entry with these values
PgmID = R3TR
Obj = TEXT
Object Name = TEXT,MY_TEXT_NAME,ST,E
here, MY_TEXT_NAME is your standard text created in SO10 and 'E' is language. ( i assume the text is in english ).

Use standard text (SO10) in report(SE38) to compose the body of email

hello experts,
here i wanna create the body of email with a format, hence i decide to use Standard Text. in this Standard Text, i also maintain some variable such &p_name&( i remember it works in forms,such script and ssf), while i define p_name as 'demo' in the program and try to transfer p_name to standard text, it fails. while i check the output of standard text, it show &p_name& instead of demo.
could anyone tell me how to realize this function?

Send hyperlink in email from standard text

Hello everyone,
My task is to send an email to external/internal candidates. The objective is quite simple, but I am having trouble dealing with the hyperlink issue. The emails will be maintained as standard texts. The business would like to include a hyperlink within the email. I am using FM READ_TEXT to gather the email and manipulating fields as necessary. From here I need to email to the specified individual.
In digging around forums, SAP help, and running enough google searches to make my head spin I have found a few FMs that may help. But I have no experience with these and am unsure on how the standard text should be passed to the FM. Im sure there is some symbols I should be using to indicate the hyperlink and hyperlink text. (e.g. www.yahoo.com would be shown as Yahoo)
I have found CONVERT_ITF_TO_HTML would be the pretty straight forward answer. I did some test and have been unsuccessful in creating a hyperlink. I am not sure if it is the format of the lines being passed or a parameter I am passing incorrectly.
I have also looked into FM SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1. Does anyone have any pointers or advice on how to do this?

Hi guys,
I have a program which sends a sapscript thru mail... But my problem is how am I going to make use of the standard text created in SO10 as subject and body of mail???
I used the SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 FM...

Can no longer select text in email template or read only field with mouse using IE or Firefox?

Hi Guys,
I can no longer select text in email template or read only field using my mouse in IE or Firefox anymore. We are using CRM 2011 rollup 18 applied with IE 11 and the latest version of Firefox. We only applied roll up 18 in Feb when this issue began.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
(You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first) using either of these. While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

How to output a logo stored as standard text to excel using OLE

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to write a program which creates an excel spreadsheet to download data from SAP. The client would like the spreadsheet formatted with merged cells, background colours, different size fonts and in the top left corner of the spreadsheet to show their logo.
They have similar functionality in another report, however, this requires a template (containing all of the formatting) to be stored on the user's PC. They do not want to have to do this with the new download.
After checking the many postings on this forum I have worked out how to do most of the requirements, but as yet have still not been able to work out how to populate their logo to the spreadsheet. They already have their logo stored as standard text (SO10), so would prefer to use this if possible.
Any advise and/or sample code would ge greatly appreciated.

We have the same requirement. We want to do some format changes to "Generic FSG Drill Template". I am able to do few changes. But when we run the report, we are able to see PDF, html output. But 'Exce' report comes with blank. Can you help on this. How were you able to see logo in excel file.

Standard Text is nothing but Global Text.
Suppose you have to display footer/header info. whenever you create a s cript for ur org.your caompany details,logo etx. instead of writing them everytime, if you careta a global text u can include them wherevr u want.
Mainly we are using standard texts to avoid hardcoding in scripts or smartforms.
If you need to include the name of your company and address in the form you
just include a standard text in your form by include statement(script) and by
include text dropdown in forms. If in later part of time your company address
change you need to change the standard text not to touch the form. This is the
way standard text helps us.
in Tcode SO10, u create a text and give a name activate it.

Adopting standard text in the po

Hello there,
does anybody have a clue how to adopt a SO10 standard text automatically in a header or line text in a PO (ME21N) I know how to do this manually, but i do not want interferance of the user.

It will not get adopted automatically in the PO.
You can automatically get it in the print out (or other output like email, etc) by including it in the layout / smart form.

Recruitment Faxing & e-mailing only possible for standard text in SAPscript

Hi,
I am using the old recruitment module PA-RC ion ECC6 and I am trying to send an email to an applicant. When I try and do this I get message "Faxing and e-mailing only possible for standard text in SAPscript". In feature WPROC I am set up to use RTF. Is there no way to send RTF emails? Do I need to create SapScripts for anything that I may possibly want to email?

No globe Icon on text or email

trying to use swiftkey or touchpal on text or emails but no globe icon is there..but it is there on other areas where typing is needed (spotlight search etc)....globe shows up if i add another standard keyboard(chinese, dutch etc) ...any ideas?

i contacted both...but it would seem that if both are doing the same thing its probably an issue on my end rather than theirs. I just didnt know if it was a setup problem that i did wrong...

Now Ia m working on BTE's . In BTE function module I am writing some text and saving it By SAVE_TEXT. In that Iam possing all the variables Including Style Name.And I am using this standard text as a body of the email.In that email Body the Formating options are not appying.

Go to SO10; Text name: your name, Text ID: ST, Language: ur choice.
In case of Smartform;
Select the type as INCLUDE TEXT for the text element.
Text Name: Your std text name, Text Object: TEXT, Text ID : ST, Language : Language name which you created the std text.

Hi,
When you are using quantity or currency fields, you have to mentiong the reference fileds in a tab called CURRENCY/QUANTITY FILEDS in the GLOBAL DATA node.
Specifying a Currency or Quantity Reference
Use
In the ABAP Dictionary, you can assign a currency or quantity field to a table field. In the output of these fields, the system can then insert the relevant currency or unit:
·        If the value field is in the same table as the corresponding currency or quantity field, the system recognizes the reference automatically, and formats the value field according to the currency or unit in the assigned field.
·        If the value field is in a different table from the currency or quantity field, the system cannot recognize this reference automatically.
In the second case, you must indicate this reference to the system in the form, to ensure that the value field is formatted correctly.
Procedure
You want to assign a currency or quantity field in one table (for example, CURTAB) to a value field in another table (for example, VALTAB).
       1.      Create the reference to the currency field by entering the following values:
-         Field Name: VALTAB-VALUE, if this is the value field of VALTAB that you want to display.
-         Reference Field: CURTAB-CURRENCY, which is the currency field of CURTAB.
       2.      Under Data Type, specify whether the data type is a currency or quantity.
Result
In the output of the PDF-based print form, the system formats the value field VALTAB-VALUE according to the assigned value in the currency or quantity field of the global variable CURTAB-CURRENCY.

If condition in standard text in so10

Hi,
Im using a standard text where ive written an IF condition but its not working.Im calling that text in my program using READ_TEXT, TEXT_CONTROL_REPLACE and TEXT_SYMBOL_REPLACE function modules.Im not using sapscript or smartform.All my dynamic variables are working fine but for my IF condition what is happening is IF statement is also true and ELSEIF is also true.The statement under if is also getting printed and statement under elseif is also getting printed.
Could anyone help please.

to my surprise, if conditions have not worked even when I used them as includes in ADOBE forms.
Please handle the conditions in your program itself.
