Solman 7.1 Update to SP2: BI_CONT706

Hi Gurus,
my SolMan System (Win Server 2008 R2, MS SQL 2008 R2) Sp1 is running on a vhd.
I updated to Support Package 1 and looking forward to implement the latest SP2.
I downloaded all component SPs I need (ABA, Basis, PI_Basis, BS_FND, BW, AP, WEBCUIF, BBPCRM, CPRXRPM, ST, ST-Ico...)
but I have to update BI_Cont from 70504 to 70601.
I downloaded and upload the latest BI_Cont 70601 SP but I couldnt implement that: the Prerequisite set 01 is missing (BI_cont,706). I looked @ marketplace for that Prerequiset set01 and the component bi_cont,706...I'm sure that the prerequisite set 01 is part of BI_cont70601...but my solman isnt work with that.
Could someone help?

BI_CONT is an add-on first download the add-on and implement then you should be ok to import patches.
should be SAPK-706AGINBICONTXT BI_CONT_XT 706: Add-On Installation or
upgrade Add to download basket SAPK-706BGINBICONTXT BI_CONT_XT 706: Add-On Upgrade.

On my M30 Windows XP Home can't update to SP2

A few days back I just did a recovery from the toshiba recovery CD.
Now I am trying to update the computer to service pack2.
But everytime I update, the updater could install my sercurity updates.
Why is it so. I bought this computer on Nov of 2004

Are you trying to install SP2 from its own CD or are you downloading it from the Microsoft Windows Update web site ?
If you are using the CD then you will need to make sure that you have any pre-requisite maintenance applied first before you can install SP2.
It may be better to use Windows Update to install the maintenance since this will check what fix level your notebook is at and then ship the required updates in the correct order.

Ssrs lookup funtion after update to SP2 (reporting services)

After updating to sql server 2012 sp2 build 11.00.5058
the lookup functions disrupts a tablix.<o:p></o:p>
I Created a tablix with a column and row grouping. If I
add a lookup function in an expression (in this case the value expression) The
cell with the lookup value show a total different value. This is quite
strange
and tricky I guess.
It is working before the update and in visual studio:

In The RDL create a tablix with one cell and group on ColumnID in the column, group on DisplayOrder in the row. Copy the Expression in the value of the cell. Now the cell shows
in column 119 a value from column
123 outside the lookup function.
In my opinion this really should not happen after an update of SQL server. In visual studio it is working correctly!

Distorted sound (after updating to SP2) (Audigy 4)

Hello!
last week I updated my Vista Home Premium x64 to Service Pack 2 (swedish), and immideatly i started having trouble with my sound (as I understand it, SP2 updates some kind of internal audio driver or something like that). The sound was slighty distorted. noticeable in general windows tasking and watching YouTube, extremely noticealbe and annoying when playing games. hard to explain, almost like extremely low quality, and a little "tinny", as if it was being played inside a tin can.
I downloaded the then-latest drivers, which at first gave me no sound at all. I uninstalled the drivers, used DriverCleaner to remove all traces, then installed the drivers again. Problem fixed, until I rebooted. the problem comes and go, perfect when I start a game, half an hour later something triggers the crappy quality. On the 4th of July I noticed there was a new set of drivers. I installed them, but it didn't get any better. the problem still comes and goes.
the drivers I have tested are
SBAX_PCDRV_LB_2_8_00
SBAX_PCDRV_LB_2_8_000
(plus the drivers I had installed before, can't remember version number)
I've also tried various quality settings in the "Sound Options" (Control Panel/Sound) for Windows, and have tried disabling all Enhancements.
I have also installed two different version of Alchemy, as well as tried without it.
When I installed the card it was still the year 2005, is it possible the card has simply run its course? The problem started as soon as I booted with Service Pack 2, so it seems to be a software problem rather than the hardware.
any ideas?

Adobe 10 Will Not Update, Vista SP2

Adobe 10 will not function. I've spent days going through support recommendations. I've performed all fixes more than once. I've started and restarted. I've checked and rechecked settings. I've turned off protection programs. I've performed manual downloads. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. The update will not function. It appears to install okay, that displays as if everything did install okay, but I cannot see the Adobe page "version" display; nor can I view any independent web videos (vids do play fine from an email link, using Windows Media Player).
Please - someone - help? I'm an average user, please go easy on me.

I use MS IE version 8. That is the browser that I know I have or use . I've never deliberately used or downloaded another one.
The only IE Add On I recognized in my Manage Add On list was SPYBOT. It's on my Desktop but it's not real time, it's the free version that I run manually. I did not see MALWAREBYTES listed in my IE Add Ons, but I also have that free version on my Desktop and I only use it manually. Other than that were items like "CBrowserHelperObject" by Dell. I don't know if that falls in the category of what you're looking for? I have NO idea where the "McAfee" thing came from, I've never knowingly had it. I last used the paid AVAST version (before this guy changed it over); and before that used a paid version of Trend Micro.
I looked at ESET's properties and there was listed in their files a "Mozilla Thunderbird" Folder - I do not use the Mozilla Browser. I only use the IE Browser. I've no idea what that Folder is for or if it falls in what you want to know?
Aside from this, the only other thing I know to do is to Print Screen the list I saw in my "Manage Add Ons." Probably more info that you want or need (or maybe can read?), I just don't know what, exactly, I am looking for?
I do not see any recognizable IE Add Ons from ESET, my current AV program. If it matters, when I looked at its' Properties it reads as "CREATER OWNED," as if taking precedence over the SYSTEM? If there are other places I can look to offer more info, please tell me.

What happens when you attempt to install the Cumulative Update? Does the CU fail during the bits installation (running the exe) or during the Config Wizard phase?

Blue screen errors - critical updates - XP SP2 SP3 - device drivers

We initially had an internal program error on an XP program that caused it to quit running. We
started getting blue screen errors that I could not resolve.
(painfully) I reinstalled XP sp2 after:
removing the boot partition, ran delux tools (complete) with not errors, repartitioned boot camp
(the long way), reformated the windows partition, (long way).
I went back and forth getting the windows and apple updates after installing XP until it said I only
needed SP3, which I was not yet ready to go to.
I still got errors and crashes, even with no applications running except Norton antivirus (only).
I left the unit on over night and had 24 save dumps in the event viewer. I checked for win updates
again and express said only sp 3 was available. I decided tocheck for custom updates.
Custom told me there were 102 critical updates. I tried to install them. They all downloaded but
98 of them would not install.
I convinced myself I had done something wrong and repeated the process with the same result.
In that the updates would not install, did I really need them or was boot camp/windows misinformed?
I installed sp 3. (boot camp 2.1) Seems to be running OK but with some errors in the eventvwr and
some more crashes.
I compared with another unit and could not replicate the errors. The other unit (same setup) had two user accts. while my broken set up had one that came up right away with reboots.
I added a second user and the crashes (though not all eventvwr errors) went away. Is this another
boot camp/windows xp issue?
I wanted to know how to find which device drivers and which versions I am running. That seems to
relate more directly to blue screen errors if they return.

Hi and welcome to Discussions,
sorry to hear about such a misery.
Sadly Windows XP does not offer such a 'list' of hardware components and associated drivers.
Only way is to use the Device Manager (from Control Panel - System - Hardware) and click through the components to find out which driver version is used.
On a personal sidenote: I would stay away from any kind of Norton products either in Windows and/or OS X.
Searching around in these Forum you will find numerous mentions of problems with Norton products running.

CVI Update SP1 & SP2

Hi everyone,
I have got LabWindows CVI 2013 with academic license, however when I want to update through "NI Update Service" I get this message:
"This update requires a Standart Service Program subscription. Service was not found for this product."
and then when I press "Explian" button I directed to website that does not work: "http://digital.ni.com/express.nsf/bycode/UpSvcSSPRenew"
How can I solve it?

Even if they're called SP1 and SP2 these updates cannot be applied for free to a CVI 2013 installation.
When you pay for a SSP subcription, you have the rights to install the updates.
If not, you must contact NI and pay for these updates.

Update to sp2

Hi
After installing SP2 and running the config wizard I receive errors.
I've tried the following steps but error persists.
stsadm -o setproperty -pn command-line-upgrade-running -pv No
IISReset
Restart the Windows SharePoint Timer
psconfig –cmd upgrade –inplace b2b –wait –force
I've also tried clearing down cache as eplained here:

Here is the error reported in the command window:

how many servers in the farm?
could you please share the upgrade log, so that we can take a look where its causing the issue.
did you run this one:

Compilation Error on Launch.aspx after Update from SP2 to SP4

Hi experts,
I have installed BPC 5.1 SP 2, SP 3 and also SP 4 on a Testmachine and
do not have problems with it. On the productive machine at the customer
HTTPS was not working with SP3 after upgrading, with SP2 HF1 it worked
fine. (We reinstalled the software until SP2 HF1)
Now we needed SP4 for a serious Reporting problem and I installed SP4 on
the system. Now an compilation Error displays after launching the start-page.
Server Error in /OSoft Application
Compiler Error Message: BC30456 CodePage is not a member of ASP.launch_aspx
Source File D:\BPC\WebSrvr\Web\launch.aspx

Hello,
Unfortunately we had no changes on the web at all. Only one change was neccessary in the Web.config, we need to add culture="en-US" so that the admin components could work correctly. There are also no other applications on this server. I also had a look at the log-File OSoftSP1Install.log. SP1 in the file name was confusing me actually, but the date and time within the file was from monday afternoon, when I installed the SP4.

Updating Exchange 2010 SP2 to SP3

Hi,
I'm trying to migrate our Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013 to different server but first I need to update it. I managed to update from SP1 to SP2 without any major problems but now I'm trying to update form SP2 to SP3.
Update fails when it goes to Client access role phase. In ExchangeSetup log I have following error messages:

Windows Update of Office 2010 SP2 fails with message Code B56

I have been trying to update a Windows 7 Ultimate + Office 2010 professional with SP2 as supplied both by Windows Update and dowanloaded SP2 from KB2687455.
All attempts fail with a Windows Update error code B56.
I have tried the 'get help with this error' but there is no entry that matches the problem.
I have tracked the event viewer error which is 0x80070643 - this appears to relate to error occurring with .NET, so I am no furrther on.
Help Please from anyone.

Thank you for your input. The email prompted me to come back and share what I have been able to do to solve the problem. No answers as to why it worked but what I did was using a dvd with a copy of Office 2010 Professional Plus I started the setup and when
it asked what I wanted to do I answered Repair.
When this was finished I retried the update to SP2 and it worked.
It would be nice to know why it was failing but the pressure is off now.

As far as I remember, I just deletet the old ones... You could advise the Yast Online Update to do so. Be sure to have downloaded the latest Driver from Nvidia: http://www.nvidia.com/object/unix.html The installation is easy, read the explanations. For me it worked without any problems + XGL 3D etc. UncleVan.
