SOLMAN doest not start due to changes in default profile

Hi!
I have change 2 parameters in my SOLMAN 4.0 system in DEFAULT-Profile (eu/iwb/installed/languages=DE and eu/iwb/help_type = 1).
After this my system does not come up via SAP GUI.
I have deleted the two parameters at the OS Level in (usr/sap/SID/SYS/profile), but the the same error appears "You have not installed any languages".
<b>Are this changes (change at the OS level th file DEFAULT.pfl) active or should I import the profile via RZ10. The problem is, I cannot access to the system via SAP GUI...
How can I correct this error and return to the presious state? </b>

Dear Axel,
The parameter is not eu/iwb/installed/languages but eu/iwb/installed_languages.
Kindly correct the parameter in the Profile and you should be able to use the Solution Manager system.

As far as I know, the Domains Hostname is stored only in config.xml file. So IP Address is same just Host name is changed CALTP8BB13 to CALTP8BB16. Check for some basic things.
1. If on Windows OS, try adding this new Hostname and its IP address in hosts file located at C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc. If on Unix Env, I guess there should be a similar file to set the hostnames mapped with IP addresses.
2. Since the machine is moved to a brand new location and incase kind of different network, check the firewall settings to see if firewall is blocking this new hostname.
3. To make sure the domain is still good, I guess you already tested with old hostname after moving to new building. Try testing by giving the direct IP address also. This is just confirmation test to make sure domain is not messed up. If both of these works, it simply means issue is with Hostname and IP not getting mapped or new hostname getting blocked over the network. May be network folks can pitch in.
Hostname or IP addresses should not be in any startup or env scripts. Domainname, servername will be definetly there in lot of files but not the hostname or ip address as far as I know.

Windows 7 users in my domain are unable to configure or change backup settings. Users are able to open Control Panel > Backup and Restore, but when they click
Change settings, they receive the error: Windows Backup - The backup application coud not start due to an internal error: You must be logged on as an administrator to perform this task. (0x8100000010).
The same error is received when executing sdclt.exe /configure at the command prompt, regardless of whether the command prompt is launched using "run as administrator".
I've done significant testing, and have been able to determine that the local administrator account is able to configure backups before the computer is joined to the domain. Once the computer is joined to the domain, the local administrator account
and domain users who are in the local administrators group are no longer able to configure backup and restore. Domain administrators are able to configure backups.
This is a new issue, which began occuring sometime in the last 2 months. 3 months ago, users were able to configure backups without issue, and those computers with backups configured are still able to run their backups and do restores; however the
settings can no longer be changed.
Clearly something in the domain is doing this, but Group Policy has not been altered, and I can find no setting that would be doing this in any case. Any help is appreciated.

So you mean you have tried different accounts in the local Administrator group and all of them failed?
If so, please check what group the local Administrator group belongs to? Does it belong to a group with limited privileges, such as the Guests group?

Hi All,
We seem to be being plagued by the error below by our SQL Server agent. This happens almost everytime we restart the server that has been running for a day or two.
Our SQL Server Agent uses a none expiring domain credential. I understand that this problem only happens when the profile being used by the SQL Servr Agent has changed (password change). What puzzles me is that the login is A ok and no changes has been made to it's password.
We always resolve this problem by changing the login used in the SQL Server Agent to local and after that, returning it back to it's original domain login. Unfortunately, we cant always do this everytime something goes wrong.
Can anyone please help us shed a light on this? We're using SQL2k with SP3a. Thanks!

...sure enough it had been removed from the "Logon as a service" list. Hope this helps.

'error 1069 - (The service did not start due to a logon failure) in BAM

I installed BAM on XP SP2, i do have IIS configured and XE DB, after installing when i tried starting the services as per post-installion guide.i did found the error 'An error 1069 - (The service did not start due to a logon failure).In google i could find a remedy saying
Remedy: Go to Start /Programs / Administrative tools / Services. Right-click the Goodlink Server and select Properties. Click the Log On tab. Retype the correct password. Start the Goodlink service.
i did so but did found the same error.So i tried changing a few things in LogOn tab such as " Earlier it was logging in from machine name and pwd , since it gave an error" i changed it to local system account ." now all services of BAM have started except Oracle BAM Active Data cache.
Anyone pls rep how do i resolve this? Do i need to re-install? i need this to be done very urgently.

Windows XP is not a certified platform for BAM. However, the product works fine on XP for evaluations and demos. For production, use a certified/supported version of Windows as is documented in the Software System Requirements section of the BAM Install Guide.
All Postinstall steps apply to all versions of Windows that BAM runs on except for the Postinstall step called "Required Configuration for Microsoft Windows Server 2003". As indicated by the step name, this one is for W2003 only.
"network not found windows 53 error" is generally a network, account or password issue. Please follow the Install Guide step by step to avoid installation issues like this.
See "Troubleshooting Start Page Issues" for start page problems.
As indicated in the Install Guide, you can use host names or IP addresses:
"12. On the Configure location of Oracle BAM step, enter the host name or the IP
address where each component is to be installed, even if it is not being installed at
this time, then click Next."

My table S_NQ_ACCT stays empty.

Can you post your entire NQSConfig.INI file?
According to the message guide (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12103_01/books/AnyMsg/AnyMsg_Messages.html#wp1007961) the error you're getting specifies the table that OBIEE is trying to use, so the fact that yours reports literally "<Database>"."<Catalog>"."<Schema>"."<Table>" makes me think maybe the wrong config is being picked up. Also your comment that using a file instead of DB doesn't work either.

I do not know the E50 but this helped people who had similar problems with other phones.
If this fails ..you need to find your nearest Nokia Service centre to re-flash your FW.

Changing the default profile

Is there a way to change the default profile that is assigned to new users? In other words, instead of user JONES being assigned DEFAULT if no profile is specifed in the create user statement, I want to set up the database so that MY_PROFILE is the profile that is defaulted to instead? This is in Oracle9i R2.

Database do not start due to error 445

We have three databases on one HP-UX 11.31 server, the DB version is 10.2.0.4, we started facing slowness in all the databases, when I tried to connect to the server it was very slow, even the sqlplus was taking very long time, when checked the alert logs of all the databases, found the below error in each alert log file;

No changes on the server side, but recently we changed the Windows DNS servers and this unix machine is connected to the domain.
the resolv.conf file contents are
oracle:/etc$ more resolv.conf

nameserver 10.141.11.2But, we have two new DNS servers with 10.141.11.3 and 10.141.11.4.
I think changing the old DNS IPs with the new DNS IPs will resolve the issue.

For future reference, Safari Plugins are kept in Macintosh HD> Library> Internet Plugins.
To unhide the Library folder, open up Terminal (just type"Terminal" into spotlight) and type:
chflags nohidden ~/Library

WDS doest not start - 0x6fc Error Trusted Domain

Hey guys,
first of all, i am not a native Speaker but hope that you could understand my english.
In our Environment we have two 2 Deploymentserver and since yesterday we can not install Clients because we can not start the WDS Service. Here are some Informations about our Environment: Both Servers are virtual Machines which have Windows Server
2008 R2 Standard running. The Computers got the WDSServer Role and the MDT 2013. We installed hundreds of Clients with them but since yesterday the WDSServer Service is not running. In the past we had the Problems with the Trusted Domain error sometimes, but
the only Thing I had to do was to rejoin the Servers to our Domain, but this Solution does not work yet.
I found many Solutions here in the Forum or in other Forums. The folowing Solutions i already tried:
- Rejoined the Domain. Did not work
- Checked all Trusted Domains for Problems. Deleted two Trusted Domains which are offline.
- run dcdiag on our DC. Everythin seems to be fine.
- Added the WDSServer Role on another Server. Same Problem here.
In the eventlog i could find the following entrys:
Event ID 768: An error occurred while trying to initialize the Auto Add Policy.
Event ID 261: An error occurred while trying to initialize provider BINLSVC loaded from C:\WINDOWS\system32\binlsvc.dll. If the provider is marked as critical the Windows Deployment Services server will be shutdown.
Event ID 265: An error occurred while trying to initialize provider BINLSVC. Since the provider is marked as critical, the Windows Deployment Services server will be shutdown
Event ID 513: An error occurred while trying to initialize provider WDSPXE from C:\WINDOWS\system32\wdspxe.dll. Windows Deployment Services server will be shutdown

Event ID 7024: The "Windows Deployment Server" service terminated with service-specific error:
The Error Number is everytime 0x6fc.
We did not Change anything in our Domain or something else. The only thing i have done was to add new Drivers to our Image on Monday but the everything was fine with the Deployment. We installed Clients an on Thursday morning both Deployment Servers crashed.
I really dont know what i can do now. Did anybody have a solution for my Problem or some ideas which could help me?

FireFox will not start due to message indicating that ssl3.dll is missing and indeed it is not in the program files. But I can not seem to be able to reinstall Firefox or to copy the ssl3.dll file into the program files. Help?

Webroot identified ssl3.dll as a threat and deleted it. Now I can not start Firefox, nor can I copy ssl3.dll into the Firefox Program file. I tried uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it, but it always shows as an upgrade and does not seem to add ssl3.dll. HELP?

We have an iPlanet 4.1 Service Pack 14 web server that was running fine until last friday. When we go to start the server we get the following error:
Status:
[https-ivpnas]: start failed. (2: unknown early startup error)
[https-ivpnas]: conf_init: Error running init function securidinit: unknown error
[https-ivpnas]: server exit: status 1
Error
An error occurred during startup.
The server https-ivpnas was not started.
The error log also contains this additional error:

This website uses RSA Securid for authentication. We have contacted RSA and they think it is a webserver problem. Any insight anyone can provide would be great. Thanks!

The error message is generated by the RSA plugin, not Web Server. RSA should be able to help diagnose the problem further.
