SolMan lang EN vs BC Sets lang PT

Hello colleages,
I am working on a landscape where the SolMan machine installation was made in language EN. However, for the template projects I will need to create BC Sets, in the source lanscape, in language PT. Can this be a problem?
I read somewhere that BC Sets must be maintained in only one language, due to application restrictions...
We already made some tests with our landscapes, and set a customizing distribution case. As our SolMan is installed in EN, the several customizing items (sync. group, etc...) where created with this original lang. Now, when we enter in SPRO of one of the component systems, using PT lang, whe get a popup with message TB016 "Error: Central system of distribution SSM is unreachable Select one of the installed languages", but still we can continue to see SAP IMG. Is this something we should take care before starting the project?
Thanks in advance.

  • No users are shown for Service Desk functionality in SOLMAN  4.0

    Hello!
I would like to set up the business partners for Service Desk in SAP Solution Manager.
If I choose the solution and execute "Edit --> Create Business partner" for the SAP R/3 4.7 then I get the warning “no users are shown under the system”.
For the SAP SRM 5.0 I get only one user (SOLMAN<SID><CLNT>), meanwhile I set the data selection to blank.
I also copied the user account of  SOLMAN<SID><CLNT> to the user test with no success.
I have assigned the Object S_RFC_ and S_USER_GRP.
The users have also the profile SAP_ALL.
How can this problem be solved?
    Thank you very much!

  • To be distributed set to Forbidden. What does it mean?

    Hi all,
Under transaction SPRO select:  SAP Solution Manager -> Configuration -> Scenario-Specific Settings -> Service Desk -> Service Desk -> Status Profile -> Change Status Profile for User Status
Double click on either SLFN0001 or ZLFN0001 if you have created it in your system.
Double click on any Status Profile.
At this point you will see the u201CChange Status Profile: Transaction Controlu201D screen.
In the Transaction Control table under column u201CBusiness Transactionu201D there is a value called u201CTo be distributedu201D.  Anybody can explain in simple words what are the consequences of selecting the column u201CForbiddenu201D for this row (u201CTo be distributedu201D)?
What does it mean to forbid the distributionu2026? I donu2019t understand.
What the SAP help says about the u201Cforbiddenu201D column is u201CIndicator specifying that the business transaction cannot be carried out if this status is active.u201Du2026 but still this is not very clear to me.
    PLEASE HELP!!

    Hello Brodo,
    Refer to this thread:
Re: Service Desk Message Status 'Further Statuses'
Here you get to know what and why is the concept of distribution present in the solman system..
Now, setting the status to forbidden means that the relevant service desk message cannot never be distributed to other systems like ( An R3 or SRM or any other SAP system )....

  • Solman E2E diagnostics and Wily Introscope.

Does anybody have any time scales for setting up Solman Diagnostcis and Wily Introscope. I have a quote for this work and would like peoples past experience of time scales for this.
I have a 3 system landscape PRD, QUA, DEV and obviously SOLMAN.
I need  to set up the SMD agents on each server involved and install the required Wily components

    HI,
If you have downloaded all the necessary s/w then you complete the E2E RCA setup in 1 day for one system(including buffers)  including Wily.
E2E RCA config, can be completed as part of solman_setup. Once you have completed your initial and basic setup, solman is ready for managed system config.
I would recommend following timeline including buffer
two - three  days for Basic configuration and initial configuration.
Installation of SMD takes less than 20 mins/ host. Wily installation also should not take more than an hour
Managed system config - this depends on which application are you configuring. in case of SAP application, you should be able to finish one SID in one day (including buffer)

  • EWA report generation in Solution Manager 7.1 SP12

    Hi Friends,
I am done with Managed System Configuration..
Now I need to generate EWA reports for the same.
But I am getting some inputs that, EWA is automatically configured in Managed System Configuration itself.
Can you guys suggest me accordingly..
    Thanks & Regards,
    Solman Starter

Just start the workcenter and navigate here:
Adding other systems can be done via SMSY ->
You also have to check your SDCCN settings: There must be a Maintenance Package scheduled daily which uses your SolMan system.
I suggest that you flag your RFC to SolMan as master:
    (Display/Change)
    (Set Master Solution Manager system)

  • Error "No maintenance cycle is open for the current system"

    Hi,
I'm setting up the ChaRM for test purposes.
I have done everything according to SAP Expert Guided session requirements (like Basic configuration, Landscape and TSMS set-up) and also was reading and checking the following Blog " Change Request Management scenario: Working examples"
    /people/dolores.correa/blog/2009/07/23/change-request-management-scenario-working-examples
    Everything seems to be ok:
    1) Landscape ok, IBase created and active, Partners assigned to each component
    2) Maintenance project created and Maintenance cycle set to "Development with release"
    3) I can easily create Change request (I tried Normal correction), approve it.
    4) When I open Change Document for approved change reques - it gives error "No maintenance cycle is open for the current system" and I can't proceed with setting Change document status to "In development".
In Change Request I indicate the only IBase (1) and as Component - SolMan clent 803, whish is set-up like PRD.
    What could be wrong?
I tried reading all threads but did not get solution - there were suggestions to activate maintenance cycle (in my case it active), to check if business partners are assigned to IBase components (in my case done),
    What else?
    Thanks in advance,
    Ausra Gustainiene

    Hi Ausra,

  • Catalogs, Codes and Code Groups in Response Profile

can i assume this parameters to product or something else?

    Hi Alex,
When you create a response profile for your service process, you must define the response times based on your SLA. The response times can be defined by priority (so that your incidents with very high priority must have a first response in 30 min and be completed in 2 hours, for example) but you also can define that the system should calculate the dates based on indicator keys that have different timeframes with durations, so you can combine and configure that incidents with priority X and category Y have a different duration for first response than an incident with the same priority but category Z, and so on..
In order to use category, code and code groups, you must first maintain these values via SolMan IMG in "Scenario-Specific Setting->Service Desk->Maintain Categories and priorities", and you can maintain Catalogs and Codes via "Scenario-Specific Setting->Service Desk->Define Catalogs, Codes and Profiles".
(They are also available in the CRM IMG)
    Hope I could help you..

    try
    InputStream byteIS = (InputStream) boReportClientDocument.getPrintOutputController().export(ReportExportFormat.PDF);
instead. Casting to ByteArrayInputStream gives cast exception XI 3.1 SP4. Also if you look at the API specification the exort method returns object of InputStream only. This should not have any effect on how you want to display or save the stream to a disk file.

    Hi,
I got the solution for this. JCE 1.2.2 is supported on JDK 1.4.1 and JDK 1.4.2, but both of them have different unrestricted policy jars. I was able to solve the problem once I downloaded the unrestricted policy jars for JDK 1.4.2 (which is used by BEA 8.1 SP5) from the following URL : http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html

  • Still got java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError even after I set java.library.path

    Hi,
I developed a Java application which uses JNI. Before I run the application, I set an environment variable JAVA_LIBRARY_PATH to where I put the .dll file required by my application. But when I try to run the application, I always get the exception of "java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError " saying that no the required .dll in java.library.path. Could anyone please tell me what's going on there ?(I am using JDK1.5.0_05.)
    thanks !

    Hi Scott,
    Thanks for your help !
I also tried setting PATH before. But with this setting I got another problem that if I tried to the application the second time or more times, it always gives me an exception saying that the dll library already loaded by another loader. That's why I moved to set JAVA_LIBRARY_PATH because this way ever worked for me when I used lower version of Java. I did not use -Djava.library.path= option because I want to invoke my application from web application which may use RMI or HTTP.
