SOLMAN user
Hello everybody,
I have some confusion about the SOLMAN user is must required in solution manager?
because i had delete some users in the solution manager.
If SOLMAN user is must required then please tell me the
user type
What should be the password?
Authorization required?
is SOLMAN is required in solution manager and in the satellite system
Thanks
Ganesh
Hi Ganesh,
SOLMAN user?. It seems its not a default user. perhaps deleting it, depends on the functionality for which you use this user. If its for Basic Configurations and Diagnostics administration, it may be needed for trouble shooting and for further configurations.
Is it a Administrative user for above mentioned cases?.
Thanks,
Jagan

How to Create Support Message with no SolMan User
Hi all,
I would like to test if it is possible to create a support message from ECC system, if the same user do not have a SolMan user.
Now, in few other threads, like
Creation of support message in SolMan without having user id in SolMan
Re: Do End User Require Login in Solman to raise Support Messages !!
show to the user there support message list
e.t.c.
it is clearly stated: it is possible.
I have done the next steps:
In ECC:
- created a test user
- assighned him a "sap_all" profile (and "Z_SAP_SV_FDB_NOTIF_BC_CREATE" role) + user comparasion
- assighned him a "Z_SAP_S_RFCACL" role + user comparasion
In Solman:
- No user created
- In TX DNO_CUST04 the Field Name "NO_USER_CHECK" is maintained with the value "X".
- In tx BP business partner is created as a general BP, with valid external SYS ID no (other users with both ECC and SM user are OK), and changed to "employee" with ECC username defined.
Now, the problem is when I try to create a support message as a test user in ECC, I get an error:
"Error in Local Message System: No authorization to logon as trusted system (Trust Message was Not Created"
All I could find is the tread:
solution maanger issue
and this one is basicly different:
the mentioned user has both ECC and SM user.
And one of the answers was the user must have S_RFCACL roles in BOTH ECC ans SM systems...
In ST22 (in solman) I get error description:
" An RFC call (Remote Function Call) was sent with the invalid user ID
"TEST_T01230 "
. Or the calling system is not registered as trusted system in the
target system."
Now, the calling system IS regged as a trusted sys (as I mantioned - other users with both ECC and SM users can send supp. msgs)
So - the only answer is "invalid user ID".
The short message is
" No authorization to logon as trusted system (Trusted RC=0)"
and the trusted return codes ( 0 ) have the following meaning: Invalid logon data (user ID and client) for the trusting system.
So. how can I perform trusted Logon with no user in SM?
Thank you in advance,
cheers
NenadHi again,
thank you for your help.
At first I thought you meant *_back dest. directly in SM, and now I see you ment to use SMSY to go to ECC sys, and maintain the RFC conns on ECC diredtly from SMSY, "clean-up RFC Destinations". Yes, can do
So:
The problem is solved.
I deleted the *_back user from ECC to SM, and re-generated the connection with default system pre-defined user SMB_T01. (it is interesting that SU01 reports - user SMB_T01 does not exist)
I even deleted a SRFCACL role from the test user in ECC, and the user was still able to create the support message (certanly he was, as he uses a *:back rfc with SMB_T01to log on to SM)
So, resume:
To be able to create / send a support message from another system, with no user in SolMan, it is needed:
- a user in other system with roles needed for everyday work, + "Z_SAP_SV_FDB_NOTIF_BC_CREATE" role;
- a not trusted SM_<SID>CLNT<CLNT_NB>_BACK rfc connection from satelite system to SolMan, with defined logon user (with apropriate authorisations) - generated by the system.
- the BCOS_CUST table in ECC system should be onfigured like: OSS_MSG W SM_<SID>CLNT<CLNT_NB>_BACK CUST 620 1.0
- a Business Partner for user in SM with identification number for system from where the massege will be sent from. (the user can send the note with out this condition, but the "created by" field in message will be empty in that case)
Once again thank you,
cheers,
Nenad
Case closed.

Which authorizations for solman user in monitored system?
We need to know what auths/profiles/roles are reqd in the active client of the ECC system for the solman user so that EWA, Sys Moni and Central System Admin can be done.
I know one:
1. Custom Role u201CZ_SAP_RFC_SM_CONFIGu201D (with authorizations S_RFC and S_RFCACL)
Can someone please list the roles/profiles or a link where I can get this?
Thanks

Creating Support Messages from Satellite System without SolMan user account
Hi
We are having some problems with users "creating support message" from our ECC system to SolMan, if the user does not have a user account in Solution Manager.
It is not correct, that users from Satellite systems can create support messages from these systems, without the user having an account in Solution Manager? And that the user is identified by the business partner for the user, that must exist in the Solution Manager system ?
We have set up the RFC for the supportmessages between SolMan and the ECC system as trusted RFC, with the "Current user" as the user, but how should this be set up, if the user does not have an account in the Solution Manager system. If we enter a user with the right authorizations in the RFC, will the messages that come through not just appear as created by that user, instead of the ECC user and corresponding business partner ?
Regards
LarsHi,
you can use the use the user for the RFC-Connection in that case. I have customizied a similar scenario. In my scenario the System from which the message was created, is the business partner (SOLD-TO-PARTY). For that you have to create a communication user (i.e SOLMAN<SYSID>). In TA SM59 in the satellite-system you assign this user for the connection. (Don't forget to assign the user to the role "SAP_SV_FDB_NOTIF_BC_ADMIN"). Now, it schould be possible to create messages from the satellite system to the solution manager. Additionally you should create business-partner for each user of the satellite system, by using TA DSWP>EDIT>CREATE BUSINESS PARTNER.
With this TA, it is easy to create BP for each satellite system.
Best regards

I am currently setting up incident management for a charity in South East Asia. Now I've come to a point when the user IDs for the support team members can be created.
From [this document |http://www.sap.com/germany/media/mc_400/50079541.pdf]I understand that there's no additional license fee for Solman. But does that mean that there's also no license fees for each user that's created? The users of course already exist in the ERP system.
Does someone know about this topic?
Thanks a lot!
Jan
Edited by: Jan Krohn on Nov 13, 2009 7:25 AMI don't think SOLMAN_ADMIN will count towards license. DDIC is also dialog user. do you count DDIC towards license?

SolMan-User switch the Trace on/off in managed System
Hello,
I faced the follow problem. I need a trace in some managed System through 2 or 3 days. If start the Trace in ST01 in some satellite system (ERP-PRO for example ) this will be interrupted by SOLMANCSM100 at certain time daily. I analyzed the Batch jobs but fond nothing.
Does somebody noes what process or job do it and where is it?
Best regards
Vladimir GolovtchinerHi,
Based on my checks, in my opinion its best to open an OSS msg, as most of the time it will require the message processor on SAP side to apply some internal tool to resolve this. Since it is a matter with package stuck scenario.
You may want to open under BC-UPG-OCS
Hope this helps.

Service Desk: Message from Sat.- to SolMan with different users
Hello,
I have a problem creating tickets in my satellite systems. The user in the sat. system is not the same than the user in the solman. Our systems run for educational purposes and the users in the satellite systems can be created by the lectures. So it is not possible, that the users in the satellite system are the same users than in the SolMan.
What I did was that I copied the Back-RFC connection and changed it, so that you have to logon to the SolMan with your username and password. The problem here is that the ticket is not created with the user that I used to log on to the SolMan but the user in the satellite system.
Does anyone know a solution to the problem?
Thank you for your help!!
MichaelHi Laxman,
what user do you mean? The user in the satellite system or the user in the SolMan? The user in the SolMan has the right priviliges to create support messages, he is allowed to do so when using the work center. In the satellite system there are no roles for creating support messages.
Actually I don't want this use to create support messages, I only want the SolMan User, the key user to create messages.
Kind regards,

Creation of support message in SolMan without having user id in SolMan
Hi Everyone,
Need your help in this issue.
I have solution manager configured to create a service desk message from satellite system.
We dont want everyone (Users from satellite system) to have an SOLMAN user id to create a service desk message. We want that the users from the satellite system create a support message seamlessley without touching the solution manager.
What roles and authorization do we need to assign to each users in satellite system to create a suppport message in solution manager ( without having User id in SOLMAN).
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance.Hi Kuldeep Thakur,
the role is : SAP_SV_FDB_NOTIF_BC_CREATE to be able to create message from satellite system to Solman.
That you will get the Reported by in the service desk message itself, you need to create the Business Partner (BP transaction) for this user and assign the BP to the user ID in transaction BP under Employee section indification.

RFC User for satellite systems
Hello Gurus,
I just wanted to ask about one issue. We are a SAP partner and using Solution Manager in VARs scenario. There are many systems of our customers connected to our Solution Manager..
Now I want to ask about RFC user(s). As I see, in our Solution Manager there are many users(communications type C) with Synthax SOLMAN<system id> or something like that. It means basically, that we have for every particular customerS system one SOLMAN user for RFC(cust_scout) in our Solution Manager. My question is if we can replace all of these users with only one RFC user for all the systems and customers?
Many thanks in advance for your help

Hi Miloslav,
Technically, it will work that you define one common RFC user in your SolMan for communication (RFC BACK destination) from all connected managed systems.
BUT, I would never recommend it.
Once a managed system cause issues in your SolMan, you are not able (or at least it's much more difficult) to identify the managed system. Same happens, if a invalid password in the BACK destination leads to a locked user.
My recommendation: Spend the extra effort in creating a user per managed system. Operation will be much easier later.

Prompts logincredentials while accessing workcenters applications in SOLMAN
Hi All,
In SOLMAN, we have configured workcenters. When i select any E2E Analysis / Trace Analysis / Wily Introscope pop-up with logon page which is a WebDynpro application. Even after providing my SOLMAN user credentials could not login into the selected applications.
1. Do we need to configure any SSO from SOLMAN to selected systems?
2. Or any other configurations to avoid this logon page
Can anyone help me to resolve this issue.
Cheers
Venkat.Hi Venkat,
did you get a resolution to this issue. I've just found the same thing happens after running through both the managing system (Solman) setup wizard and the managed systems setup wizard - Solman Ehp1 (SPS 20). I can see the workload analysis data/graphics etc when navigating between tabs in workload analysis/change analysis etc but I get the pop-up each time I navgate to another tab.
I've got the BI connection configured to use another client on the Solman system itself ( 001) with the Solman Administraion client being 010. I thought it might have been the RFC connection to BI (Maybe needing to defined as a trusted connection), but the BI_CLNT001 RFC destination (after reading through the guides again) is defined as per documentation with the SMD_BI_RFC user credentials & roles etc. Test connections etc are fine. So I'm not sure why the pop-up happens.
If you got to the bottom of what was going on then please respond.

Creating a new transport request.
Dear SolMan users,
Is it necessary to create a new transport request when a tester reject the testing so the developer must make some changes angain or can use the change request already created at the begining of creating changes in the system.
Thank you
PetrHi,
The developer will be creating a Transport Request in Development System.
The tester will just check the functionlaities in Quality server. What is the use of a Tester creating a Transport Request? Any scenario you can explain?

Automatic creation of business partners in Solution Manager system in Charm
When I automatically create business partners in the Solution Manager system from the users in the satellite systems, they are created of type "Business Partner (Gen)" and they are not associated to the user with the same name id in the Solution Manager system, but they are connected to the remote users in the satellite systems. For this reason I change manually every business partner making it of type "employee" and connecting it to the user in the Solution Manager system. In this way I can use it like partner function. Is this the correct procedure to follow? If not, what do I have to do? Which is the correct way to generate business partners in the Solution Manager system from the users in the satellite systems?
Thanks
AntonelloHi,
It is advisable to have the same login name for the satellite systems and SOLMAN user.
Business partner can be created thru tcode DSWP -> Select Solution -> Edit -> Create business partner.
You need to create a business partner only once by the above method, even if you have a number of satellite systems.
Once the BP is created , go to tcode BP -> select the business partner -- > In the Identification Tab, enter the systems which will be accessed by the user. Here you can also give the SLM system ID in addition to the other satellite systems.
The employee connection process which you do is correct

TanayHi Srivastava,
What process or transaction you are executing, when you got this dump, please share the detail.
In SAP there so many areas where we can have this ABAP dump, please also share the snap shot in ST22 " How to Correct" part of dump which carries the exact program name e.g. in below snapshot program name, short text, etc is given to search SAP note.
Please also refer to the following sap notes:

Hello everybody,
when i execute the transaction SM04, then one user show the logon type RFC.
then what is mean by the logon type if RFC, I know that the RFC means Remote Function call.
But what is mean by logon type RFC
Thanks
GaneshSimply means that the user was logged one via an RFC connection instead a SAPGui connection.
For example if you have Solution Manager you'll see frequent connection from the SOLMAN user via RFC.
