Solo Bug. My tracks only work in Solo mode. Can´t export anymore.

I found several records in the net for tis bug to happen to GB on Macs. No it killed one of my songs on the IPad. So I can only here the single tracks when they are soloed. That means I can´t merge tracks or export the whole song. Any ideas????

Ha! Well I didn't know it was uni'versal across the MuVo range It's certainly not shown as part of the normal firmware install procedure.
Pretty much now the player is settled at a stage now. It Won't turn on AT ALL when unplugged, and when I do plug it in it can only be found as a recovery device and not a HD, then when it's a recovery device I try using the Firmware update and it says it finds the device in Recovery Mode, Inittializing... then gives me an error "Cannot write to device" or something, and when it does that the transfer animation shows on the LCD but then it freezes there and I have to remove the battery to get it off of it. Thus starting the whole cycle over again. :*(
The problem is for recovery mode it needs a special recovery mode driver. Some of the other players have them, but I don't know how specific they are. This is a question for Creative Support I guess.

    Yes a Restore will erase your iPod. But this shouldn't be an issue since you obviously must have your music in your iTunes library or backed up somewhere else, RIGHT????? After all, it would be silly to have all your music on just the iPod and no where else, RIGHT?

  • Monitor only works in safe mode

    My monitor only works in safe mode.  when restart in normal mode the monitor screen is blank.  when I start in safe mode the monitor works fine.

    Is there a reason you have not entered the menu as I have suggested and reset the monitor to factory default?
    Your old school monitor needs a kick in the pants to remind it that it is plug n' play. That is essentially what the reset will do. It won't hurt anything.
    Was the TV you had connected to the PC before using the monitor an HDTV one with 1080p resolution?
    In order to reinstall the graphics driver you will need to be logged in as a user with elevated (admin) priveleges. A standard user cannot install drivers or programs. You do not heed to reinstall RAID drivers.
    You might need to consider replacing the monitor with a modern LCD display. They are quite inexpensive these days and can evven be found in the second hand market. 
    If you don't want to do that then you can remove the video card and then connect the monitor VGA cable to the video output port on the rear of the desktop PC. Removing the card will enable the onboard video.

    "works in safe mode" meaning you do not get instant kernel panic when you boot up, and instant kernel panics on boot-up were happening before?  If this is the case, it may be that one (or more)  of your third-party log-in items is incompatible with 10.8.

    I have installed the CS6 suite in Windows safe mode (after multiple attempts did not work in normal mode, it kept stopping at 2% installed) using the Adobe application manager. I am on a trial period, my company is going to start paying monthly after the first free month.
    All the adobe products work ok (photoshop, illustrator, dreamweaver etc), except Indesign. When I double click the icon, the hourglass appear for a few seconds and nothing else.
    If I double click the Indesign icon with Task manager open I can see that it appears as a 'process' for about 10 seconds, then disappears.
    If I go into Safe mode Indesign will open and work but obviously this isn't ideal.
    How can I fix this?
    Any help would be great.
    (I have done all the usual things, like uninstall the whole package & install again, restart etc. I also ran the Adobe suite cleaner tool incase old versions on this computer were interfering. I uninstalled everything, and deleted the Adobe folder etc.)
    I am using Windows 7 Professional with a fast processor, 8gb ram.

    Ability to run in safe mode but not in normal Windows operation could point to a conflict between InDesign and the driver for your graphics card. In safe mode, only a generic Windows video driver is used, regardless of your video card. Otherwise, whatever secret sauce driver provided by the provider of your video card is used. InDesign, as well as other Adobe applications, depends heavily on your video card and if your video card supports direct access to its GPU (if it has one), these applications make use of same.
    See if there is an updated driver for your video card that you can download. From what I can see, some of the video card manufacturers almost have a driver du jour posted to fix various problems reported by users. If you have the latest driver, see if there are settings associated with “optimization” or “performance” via any control panel item or utility associated with the video card and try scaling those back. That might finesse the problem.

  • Only works in safe mode

    Help....I am only a novice mac user (so I need help in the most layman terms possible).  Seems all my Apple products are going kaput; first one being my macbook (early 2008 model).  Looks like my disk drive isnt working correctly; I put in a new hard drive.....I went to reinstall Snow Leopard then upgrade to Lion.  Ever since then my mac only seems to work in safe mode.  I used my imac to load snow leopard....(with firewire); and downloaded lion from app store.  is there a way to wipe clean and start over?  There is nothing on the computer that I need.....I keep all my important files on an external hard drive.  my big concern is I dont know how to do it and second since I dont have a disk for lion will just going back to app store allow me to re-download or will I have to pay 30 bucks again.  I have seen others have had similar issues...I just cant seem to figure this out.  If anyone can help I will be eternally grateful!

    When your in safe mode try going to the Disk Utility and doing a Disk Repair. Repair Permissions. Then see if that lets you boot normally. If that doesn't work you might need to reinstall Snow Leopard again then upgrade to Lion. (Lion will still be available under your App Store Purchases tab and you don't have to pay again).
    I recommend you using Time Machine. Not only do you save yourself the trouble of copying things to your External Hard Drive, but if you run into something like this again restoring it from Time Machine saves you all the time you spend downloading Lion and Installing Snow Leopard. Plus everything is exactly how you last backed up. Everything!

    By the way, if you don't see the App Store when you install Snow Leopard just do a software update from the top left apple icon of your system and you should see it when its done.

  • NO CARRIER - Phone only works in 3G mode, and periodically loses signal

    Hi.
    Recently my iPhone 3GS has stopped working on the 2G network and has become somewhat unstable on the 3G.
    After traveling i found my phone rendered semi-defect.
    After a travel through 2 countries my phone stopped working on 2G network.
    to be able to connect to a "roaming" provider the phone had to be in 3G mode.
    the 2G mode is now not working at all.
    Once in a while the 3G also sets out, and i have to put the phone in flight mode and back to be able to get a connection to the carrier. (this could be caused by a non 3G zone i guess).
    I have done the following steps to try and resolve the issue.
    1) do a general network reset (no resolve)
    2) do a general phone reset (no resolve)
    3) do a iTunes restore, where the phone was updated, and blanked (no resolve)
    continue and restore the previous backup (no resolve)
    phone is running OS 3.1.3
    I have tried the SIM card in another phone, and the 2G works fine on the carrier side, so i dont find the SIM defective.
    somehow i thing the phone has totally flipped the 2G settings, and i dont know how to resolve it.

    The internet isn't the problem. The phone really only works when I am in Wi-Fi. The data is the issue. Yes I have tried all of these resets, lost all of info on the phone and I am very fed up. This has been going on ever since the wonderful roll out of ios7. When I 1st did the upgrade it deactivated the phone, I had to go to the store, luckily they were able to fix that. Ever since then though the phone is worthless. My question at this point is more related to this being a phone issue or a Verizon issue. I live in 80207 (denver) and work in 80202 (downtown Denver). I would really just like to know if this is a network issue here, or if Apple just ruiend a perfectly good phone to get me to "upgrade."
    Is this a Verizon issue or Apple issue?

  • Air Display 2 only worked on mirror mode not second monitor

    I'm using PC Win 7 enterprise and IPAD Air. IPAD Air installed with Air Display 2.
    The Air Display 2 only worked fine when on 'mirror mode', but not working as secondary monitor. IPAD display colour  in 'blue' and able to activate the keybaord.
    Need tips how to fix the problem to work as extended monitor.

  • (TP A21m) Optical drives (CDRom, etc.) only work in safe mode after installing IBM RecordNow

    Two days ago, I put in a new IBM CD-RW/DVD Combo IV drive into the Ultrabay 2000 slot of my TP A21m 2628, and using the accompanying IBM software CD, installed the IBM RecordNow program. After the re-boot, the operating system (Windows 2000 SP4) failed to recognize any of my internal or external optical drives. They all stopped working in normal mode. What happened? What is suddenly blocking all of my optical drives?
    They all work perfectly fine in safe mode; my internal optical drives work perfectly when being tested by PC Doctor; they show up in the "Safely Remove Hardware" list; and Device Manager indicates that the drivers are installed, enabled and working properly. (However, there is no "+" next to CD drive in the boot sequence of the BIOS Setup Utility). The BIOS is the latest version, IBM/Lenovo drivers and software have been kept pretty much up-to-date, and the operating system was always kept up-to-date. I have run system file checker and so on.
    I uninstalled the IBM RecordNow, removed the Combo drive and re-inserted the original CD-Rom drive, but that made no difference. So, with the Combo drive back in place and (using means other than the CD-drive) I reinstalled the original IBM RecordNow and proceeded to install the update from Lenovo (specified for my Combo drive and Windows 2000) in the hopes that the update would fix the bug. But, the update wouldn't install and no explanation was provided.
    I am quite sure that it is not a hardware problem, particularly since everything is fine in safe mode and under PC Doctor. At a minimum, I would like to get my computer back to the way it was before I put in the Combo drive two days ago - with a working internal CD-Rom drive and a working external CD-RW drive. Right now I am without any optical drive functionality, like I was way back in mid-1990's. Thank you for your help.

    The problem has been fixed as follows:  I modified the registry in accordance with the Microsoft instructions at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/270008/ :   "... Remove the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters values completely from the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}…"
    After the reboot, the operating system once again recognized the optical drive. Having modified the registry, I then had to reinstall ITunes. After that, I successfully reinstalled the software from the IBM Software CD. Everything seems to be fine now.
    (The update for the IBM RecordNow still refused to install, but I probably don't need it anyway. I have not bothered to check whether the external optical drive works or not, and I don't see any need to do so at this time.)  Thank you

  • Games only work if Game Mode is selec

    Within Windows Vista 32bit (since I never play on XP anymore) I've noticed 2 games especially that if I have my mode selected to Entertainment vs Game mode that the games will crash; wont work.

    Yes they are ALchemy Enabled so that might be the problem
    But if I choose the mode "Entertainment" then load the game for something quick; I try and play it and nothing happens or the game crashes.
    I've re loaded the game using "Game" mode and voila it works.
    So my only conclusion is that these games "Diablo 2" and "Oblivion" will only work if?"Game" mode is selected is the reason why, is because they are ALchemy enabled games that they have to be set to "Game" to work?

    ALchemy enabled games will only work if the card is in Game Mode. Trying to play them in Entertainment mode may result in the game exhibiting unpredictable behavior, like crashing.
    The different modes actually change how the audio processing chip devotes its processing. By using ALchemy you are telling the particular game to use hardware accelerated openAL, which is only available in Game mode.
    You'll find that using other nati've openAL games will have odd behavior if you try to play them in Entertainment mode, also.
    Some games will play fine, just without surround sound or any extra EAX effects, if applicable. But other games just crash or have no sound, or funny-sounding sound.

    I have a problem with my push notifications. They only work exactly when I have my phone in Airplane Mode and with Wifi enabled. Here are the details of my phone:
    Phone: iPhone 3GS
    OS: 3.1.2, NOT jailbroken, NOT unlocked
    Activation: Not Hacktivated
    Data: "Unlimited Mobile Browsing" - others report that they are able to get Push notifications through this connection on my cell phone provider
    Push Notifications: Do not work when not in Airplane Mode
    I have search the internet for countless hours for a solution and although I have discovered some threads where people have the same problem, no solution was provided.

    It could be there's not enough signal for the push notifications to come through. I hardly get them on the 3G network due to having 3 bars or 4 bars. Also doesn't work good indoors. When I have 5 bars, I'll be able to receive them.
    It could be a network issue to speak with the carrier or "Mark the Spot" app as no coverage/no data if you have AT&T. It could also be Apple's Push Notification Service having problems while they update their service to have Push and Local separated.

  • ATI 9700 only works in Safe Mode ?

    Hi,
    I purchased a Celestica ATI 9700 MAC gfx card and it seems only to work in Safe Mode. In normal mode my G4 boots but wont reach the login screen, the screen stays blue and occasionaly it may show the mouse(responds).
    I can only think that the card is broke and isnt being stressed by Safe Mode or has some kind of incompatible firmware?
    Any tips would be greatly appreciated as i'd love to get the 9700 running in my machine.

    I could well be wrong but I've always been under the impression the 9700 only works in MDD G4s. I believe they were only available from Apple at the time as a built to order option and the AGP slot in all MDD G4s was modified to provide additional power to the card. I'm not sure whether third party 9700 graphics cards need this though. The 9800 gets round it by having a separate internal power connector, so it can be used in any G4 with an AGP slot.

    I can't click in any box (to select individual mails for deleting or moving)

  • HP Prme: Which functions only work in CAS mode???

    I enter a simple substituion into Home mode:
    subst(Y^5,Y=2)    and I get  " Error: Bad Arrgument Type"
    I enter the same formula into the CAS mode after changing the letters to lower case and I get the result:  32
    How does the user know which functions work in which modes:  Home or CAS  ?????
    also  is there a way to perform multitude substitutions at the same time  ie   subst(y^5+x^7,y=2,x=3)  ????

    Seems like a video chip problem to me. The solder worked loose over time in some machines. Re-solder for the brave.
    You will have to translate this to 10.5. 
    You may have a problem with the video chip.
    Here is how to tell...
      Shutdown your machine.  Hold down the shift key.  Poweron.  Bootup will be longer.
        Wait awhile while you harddrive is being checked.
