Solo button doesn't quite work

Sometimes I have the problem when I hit the solo button on a track I can hear audio from that track AND another track too! I've checked that the two tracks are on their own distinct audio tracks (ie audio track 3 and audio track 11). I'm not sure what is going on. Anyone have any ideas?

Well, the lead guitar is on audio track 13, and the lead vocal is on audio track 11. I actually went to the environment window on this song and added an audio track 256. Then I option clicked the solo button on the lead guitar track and the slash symbol did not go away. So I added a new audio track to the arrangement. This was audio track 14 and the slash symbol still didn't go away. However, it gets weirder. While soloing all sorts of tracks I noticed that the lead vocal and guitar both always play along with the track which I'm soloing! I can actually mute the lead guitar and vocal and they will finally stop playing. I was hoping to understand this situation though. I feel there is something fundamental about Logic that I'm missing. By the way, the song was imported from Logic 7. I wonder if that has something to do with it? Thanks for your help!

while you are with the person selling it to you, ask if you can do a complete restore of the software settings->general->reset->reset all
reboot the phone to factory settings and see if that fixes the problem. if not, i wouldn't buy it unless they are selling it to you for less than $50. wifi is crucial for keeping data low and using features like facetime

It is unlikely but you can atleast try they might set it up for free but expect an email about paying 269 for physical damage

IPhone 3GS Sleep/wake button doesn't always work

Recently i upgraded my iphone 3gs to iOS 5.0.1,
Since then, my sleep/wake button doesn't always work.
It's pretty annoying, and i hope there is a solution to this issue.

One possibility is that your phone is more occupied with "managing" iOS 5.0.1 since it has more features etc. This could especially be the case if you are using a lot of apps.
Another option is that the button is simply worn out... I used to have that issue with the home button of my old iphone 3g. However, if the problem started occuring right after you upgraded your iOS, it probably is a software issue...

After updates solo button doesn't work with comp track, anyone have the same problem?

Looks like there may be a solution on Itunes 10.5 64bit will not install on Win7. I am going to try that.

Sleep button doesn't always work

I have the iPod touch 4th generation. The past few days the sleep button hasn't been working properly. It seems to pick and choose when it works. When it doesn't work, I have to wait a minute for the iPod to put itself to sleep.
Is there anything I can do to fix this, or is it a case of it being faulty and having to send it back and have it replaced?

Try the basic troubleshooting steps. If it still does it, contact Apple and get the switch replaced.

IPhone 4 home button doesn't always work

Not sure where the problem lies here, with hardware or software. The home button appears to be working inconsistently. Sometimes a normal press pulls up the home screen. Sometimes, I have to really press it hard, or several times. Double click and home screen routinely don't work reliably. Is this a software issue or hardware. If so, is it repairable or covered under warranty?

It's a hardware problem, if it's under warranty, take it to an Apple Store and they will replace it for free. If is not under warranty, they will charge you the cost to repair

Left Serial Track ball button doesn't aleways work in Firefox and T-bird, but works well in IE8 and other programs on this computer

Sys=WinXP SP3, ASUS MB, Athelon X2 6000 CPU, 4 (3) gb mem.
Intac Systems mouse trak track ball. This device works fine
with all the other programs on my computer. In T-bird or Firefox
the left mouse button often doesn't work for minutes at a time
then works for a few seconds, then stops again. The right button
works all the time, even when the left has stopped, as does the
ball to move the cursor. Have reloaded the Microsoft serial
mouse drivers and tested the mouse and all is OK.

The "Use custom settings for history" selection allows to see the current history and cookie settings, but selecting this doesn't make any changes to history and cookie settings.
Firefox shows "Use custom settings for history" as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made.
If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History".
"Never Remember History" means that Private Browsing is active and "Always use private browsing mode" gets a checkmark.
You need to remove the checkmark on "Always use private browsing mode" to leave Private Browsing mode or chose the "Remember History" setting.

Using ALT key in list view doesn't quite work like it used to...

I haven't used this feature since OS9 so please excuse my ignorance!
In OS9 when viewing files in Finder in List view, one used to be able to open subfolders by holding down the ALT key while clicking the folder triangle. Close the main folder and ALT-clicking open again would open a second level of subfolders et cetera.
However, in OS X it appears that ALT-clicking a folder's triangle now opens ALL subfolders in one go (which can hold up the Finder quite a bit if you have a lot of stuff), and ALT-clicking the folder's triangle to CLOSE the folder doesn't close all the subfolders in one go (they are all open within the main folder).

A faster way, which works for me when I have logged out, is to log in, get the Discussions home page and then hit reload, which takes me to the thread I was looking for.
Hope this works for you,the alternative is to keep logged-in in your browser and avoid all this.

I found the fix. Disabling the MacAfee Site Advisor plug-in fixed it.

Iphone 5 will not turn off + lock button doesn't always work

Has anyone seen this problem my iPhone 5 will not always lock or be able to turn off .
It eventually turns off then after reboot works fine for a while then starts to play up again

Have you tried resetting the iPhone?
To do that - Press and hold the Home button and the Wake / Sleep button at the same time. Keep them both pressed until the Apple logo appears on the screen, it can take over 10 seconds for this to happen.
If that does not work then try restoring the software in the iPhone in iTunes.
If that does not work then take the iPhone to Apple as it may have a hardware fault.

Sleep tip doesn't quite work

The hot tip on the web page today says you can put the Mac to sleep just by pressing Command Option Eject.
I try this, and the computer does indeed go to sleep, but then it wakes up again a few seconds later. I've tried varying the length of time I hold down the keys, and that doesn't make any difference.

Has anyone been able to put the MacBook to sleep for the purpose of changing batteries and NOT shutting the computer down? This idea for doing this is when you are in a presentation environment in which you have spare batteries, but no power wall outlet.
I can do this on my Dell D600, but not on my Macbook. No biggie, but it would be nice.

My database insertion doesn`t quite work

I have a ALV table in a WwbDynpro component.
I have a ON_DATA_CHECK event handler for my INTERFACECONTROLLER.
I`m trying to insert a new row in the table. Even if it gets to the succes message when I check the database table is does have a new row but it`s empty!
Does somebody know why?
