U can resolve using two methods:-
1. Export the table, drop the table and import it and then create the index.
2. move the table into another tablespace.
ALETR TABLE <TABLE_NAME> MOVE TABLESPACE <TBS_NAME>;
the user whose table u are moving, should have privileges on that tablespace.

Solution for PDE-PLI011 Error.

Hi buddies....I've a form with an attached PL/SQL Library which is placed on a network shared drive. Last day, when I opened my form in Form Builder-6i, it gave an error and closed the form builder application. And since that time whenever I try to open that form, it gives the following error and doesn't open:
PDE-PLI011 A tools common schema table is missing from the object store.
I think attached library has created errors in that form and doesn't let it open. However same PL/SQL library is working well with other forms. So have u peeps any solution for this problem???

UTL_SMTP with Sendmail: Solution for ORA-29278: SMTP transient error

For those of you migrating from Windows or other platforms to Linux (Redhat Enterprise AS 3.0, in my case) and have email routines using UTL_SMTP, I have a hard-earned hint for you. If your email routines are not working when you try to use the local smtp service (sendmail) try the following at the SQL prompt.

If you get ORA-29278: SMTP transient error: 421 Service not available, try the following instead:

c := utl_smtp.open_connection('127.0.0.1', 25);
utl_smtp.helo(c,'127.0.0.1');
end;
And you should get success. So you should specify the internal loopback IP address for the email hostname in the open_connection function. It will not work with anything else (servername, localhost, NIC IP).
The reason for this is that there is a setting in the sendmail config file (/etc/mail/sendmail.mc) that causes sendmail to only listen on 127.0.0.1. As long as you aren't using sendmail as a relay, this isn't a problem.
Just specify 127.0.0.1 for the email hostname in the open_connection function.

all of the research i've done points to setting up the database with a Very Large Memory configuration, which will be carried out at a later date as we're still in the development stage.

Hi all, I have also been having serious problems with the message "An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator".
I have found a SOLUTION that has worked for me!!! I went on to filehippo.com and searched for Adobe Air, they list all previous releases of the software with direct download links. The first one I tried was "Adobe Air 2.0.2.12610" here is the link,

Please check the following on the machines:
All machines must be on the same workgroup. (work group name must be identical).
All machines must be on the same subnet.
All machines must have file and printer sharing enabled.
On all machines start the following services and set it to automatic start:
Function Discovery Provider host
Function Discovery Resource Publication
SSDPSRV
UPNPHost
5.Run this command in CMD (All in the same line). It will open a windows , Remove all cached credentials and do this on all machines. undll32.exe keymgr.dll,KRShowKeyMgr

Is there a solution for Time Machine error?

I got an error in Time Machine saying backup had failed, a couple of days ago. Spent the next day or two trawling the web and found thousands of postings from people with the same error, but no solution.
(At least, some people had a solution - they were using PC-formatted hard drives.)
I've been using Time Machine for a few weeks, and it has only now taken a dislike to my external hard drive, which is connected by FireWire.
Is there a solution to this problem, or should I revert to using SuperDuper, which I was using successfully before?
I haven't put in lots of information about the apps I'm running, because this is a general query rather than a specific one. If there's a solution, I'll use it; otherwise I'll wipe the drive and go back to using SuperDuper.

Sounds a bit like a problem communicating with the drive. The logs may clarify that.
The hard drive of my computer is 250GB; the external drive is 300GB. Both are SATA drives; the external is connected by FireWire.
How full are they?

What is the difference between a SuperDuper clone and a Time Machine backup?
The initial backup of both copies almost everything on your HD, excluding only some caches, temp files, etc., although you can exclude other things. This takes quite a while, of course. Thereafter, only the items that changed are backed-up.
SuperDuper (and CarbonCopyCloner, which I use, and other, similar apps) are most often used to make bootable "clones" identical copies of your HD -- if your HD fails, you can boot and run from them immediately. With TM, once your HD is repaired/replaced, you restore your system to it from your TM backup.
Score one for the clones, but TM has it's advantages, too (which is why many of us run both).
First is, CCC and SD look at every file and folder on your HD to see what changed. This is quite time-consuming and CPU-intensive, so most of us run it once a day (or less often), usually automatically at, say, 3 am. TM, however, runs hourly, but uses an internal File System Event Log of changes, so it is far quicker and less intrusive. There are exceptions, but most users rarely even notice the backups unless they see the icon revolving. On my small system, for example, TM rarely runs over 30 seconds; CCC is at least 15 minutes.
Second, not only does TM keep previous versions of changed files, but it manages the space and backups for you. It keeps those hourly backups for 24 hours; except the first of the day becomes a daily backup which is kept for a month; one per week becomes a weekly backup that is kept for as long as there's space (it will fill the drive/partition). But it's smart enough, as it deletes the old weeklies, that it won't delete it's copy of anything that still exists on your HD.
There isn't room to have two 250GB sections on a 300GB drive. I suppose I could get another 250GB drive - I have an IDE enclosure somewhere - but I don't fancy the expense right now.
Your CCC or SD partition only needs to be as large as your HD, although in a pinch it only needs to be somewhat larger than what's actually used on your HD. If you don't have room for both on the one drive, an even better solution might be to get a pair of smaller portable HDs for CCC/SD. Use one daily for, say, a week, then take it to your safe deposit box, workplace, relative's house, etc. and start with the other. Now you're also protected against fire, flood, theft, direct lightning strike on your power lines, etc.

Solution for Visual composer error: 32k span and 64k byte limit

is it solved by updating EP version or by EP java stack or any other updates which will solve the This VC error.
64k error i am getting is:

Solution for AAM Updater Error : U44M1I210

After getting Creative Cloud a couple of days ago then running into Updater Error U44M1l210 over and over and making the mistake of calling tech support (which was no help - "just reset it / download from the site" - even though resetting does nothing and the site doesn't have all the updates AAM does), I've finally got a working solution.
Essentially it's a permissions issue. Not sure why it affects some and not others, but I was logged in as an administrator and it still failed to have permissions to update despite admin password entry.
So, here's what you do. You need to open AAM and Update with superuser permissions.
1. Open Terminal
2. Copy and Paste the following, then hit enter:
sudo "/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/PDApp/core/Adobe Application Manager.app/Contents/MacOS/PDApp"
3. It will prompt you for your password, enter it.
4. The Adobe Application Manager will open with sudo (elevated/superuser) permissions.
5. Open one of your Creative Cloud programs.
6. Go to Help>Update...
7. The updater dialog will open. Update as normal, it will work this time.

After multiple phone calls and emails to tech support about this issue I was hoping that this would solve the issue for me. I've tried command line fixes a few times now and like the others this one doesn't fix the issue for me.
Still get:
There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U44M1I210
I can install applications but can't update them (OSX 10.9). I guess I could delete and install each time there is an update, but major PITA.
Unfortunately calling Adobe tech support is a very frustrating experience. I've had dropped calls, had to repeat my information every time (spelling out each letter of my email address with a word) and finally get offered the same solution that doesn't work.

When starting to work with changing the percentage of processor for the LPAR running SAP we are getting MCH1210 errors in the SAPOSCOL job. When searching for a solution I ran into a IBM knowledgebase item.

We are planning of running a second partition, a SAP Content Server (Linux), and would like to use the flexability of the platform to work with a shared processor pool.
Any suggestion to get rid of the MCH1210 errors ?

I have tried to apply the patch "on the fly" (while the system was up) and ran into some errors, so I do not recommend that. What you could do is this:
1. Create a copy of the kernel library (I recommend SAVLIB to a SAVF, then RSTLIB to a different library name, see SAP Note 1097599).
2. Run the APYR3FIX command for the AS4RMTCCMS patch on the copied library.
3. Rename AS4RMTCCMS on the original kernel library into some dummy name or move it to another library.
4. Move AS4RMTCCMS from the copied library into original kernel library.
Since AS4RMTCCMS at your current level does not work anyway, you should not see additional problems when renaming or moving it.

Your database faced media failure.
Oracle says...
ORA-01242 data file suffered media failure: database in NOARCHIVELOG mode
Cause: The database is in NOARCHIVELOG mode and a database file was detected as inaccessible due to media failure.
Action: Restore accessibility to the file mentioned in the error stack and restart the instance.
Oracle was unable to write to the file and instance got terminated.
Is this your production database ? Your first step is to keep the database in archivelog mode.

Trace column for ORA-01438 Error

I encountered the following error while trying to insert into a table using bind variables in a program:
ORA-01438: value larger than specified precision allows for this column
I enabled trace for 1438 with errorstack level 4 in order to capture the bind variables being passed into the sql using the following sql:
alter system set event='1438 trace name context forever, level 4' scope=spfile;
A trace file is being generated after encountering the error again and I tried to use tkprof to read the trace file, however, I do not see any bind variable in the file. Is there something wrong? How do I trace the column which is causing the problem?

Hi,
With scope=spfile in your alter system command you tell Oracle just to put this into the server parameter file. This file just gets read while startup the database. If you want to set it for the instance now you have to define scope=memory, and if you want to use it now and after a restart you have to type scope=both or just nothing about scope, because both is the default.
Set the parameter with scope=memory and try it again!
Or when you running this in PL/SQL just capture the exception and give out the current value.

In the primary database alert log and physical standby database alert log, there is no error message at the time (2008-10-27-12:29).

Might be because there is a space in-between the parameter, if you have copy-pasted it directly then there is surely a space after 'STANDBY'; remove the space as the parameter cannot have a space in between.
Also for the 1st issue, create a standby control file on promary database using
ALTER DATABASE CREATE STANDBY CONTROLFILE AS '/app/oracle/ORCL/oradata/stby_control.ctl';
Then copy the above control file to the standby system, make sure you have the control_files parameter pointing to the new control file you have just created and try running the command once again.

Solutions for ORA-20054: Invalid Operation

Hello,
We are running Apex 3.2 / Oracle 11g on 4 separate environments.
We have been running an apex app to load data from csv files into tables for over 3 years.
In our development environment, we are suddenly receiving ORA-20054: Invalid Operation when we run the app.
In our Testing/QA environment, the app runs and loads files successfully.
Are there settings that have changed to raise this error in the one environment?
If so, what should be checked?

Macs! I have found a solution for an u44m1p7 error.

This might not be the cause for your problem, but have a look at the error log (shown when you press More Information after the update fails) and see if there is any mention of Adobe folder in Applications not being there to load the necessary patches.
It relates to Applications/Adobe folder.
Look at your folder, then see if it is actually a proper folder, and not a tiny Unix file (a dark grey icon). If it is little file delete it.
Re install the photoshop or indesign app, and it should work.
For non techies like me, the reason is that the patches need a home to go in. The computer is getting confused between a folder and a file with the same 'Adobe' name. Now you've deleted it the installer can create it's own in that place and put all the patches in there.
Adobe team- please check this and let people know.
If anyone else has this problem, share if it has worked.

Please check "Applications" folder, you would see a file named "Adobe".
Kindly delete the file, as it is corrupt.
Create a folder "Adobe" in Applications folder, issue should be fixed.
