Solution manager 7.1  Wily (no data available in the BI)

Hello, I am using solution manager 7.1 SP08  on hp/ux  with wily 9
There are times when  Wily show 200% capacity then later show 51%  capacity
Trying  to figure out what going on so I click on the performance tab and I get  a 'no data message in BI '
Any ideas on why no data is  showing in BI ?
We are getting wily data .

Hi Kenneth,
How many agents have been connected to Wily EM ?
For Wily EM capacity problem, you may check below SAP note
1871677 - What to do when Wily Introscope Enterprise Manager Capacity is significantly above 100%
Hope this helps.
Thanks & Regards,
Nisha

  • Solution Manager Diagnostics don't display data

    Hi,
I'm setting up Solution Manager Diagnostics at Solution Manager SP 22. I've installed Wily Introscope Enterpise Manager at Solution Manager Server, and Wily Introscope Agents at Solution Manager and Satellite systems as well.
Wily Introscope is working properly, I receive statistics from all agents, and also I can see most of the graphics. BUT, after I install SMD Agent, I can't receive any data in Root Cause Analysis Workcenter ->  End-To-End Analysis -> system -> Workload Analysis.
Here I can see a plot with all values at 0. If I try Enterprise Portal tab -> Portal Activity Reporting, I don't have any data.
At Aplication Server Java tab -> J2EE Engine, I only can see forms like:
         E2E CV PPMS ID Variable
         E2E Installation Number Variable
         E2E SID Variable       <SID>         <SID>
         E2E Metric Type Variable(multiple values)
                   SERVLETS
                   WEB DYNPRO APPLICATI ONS
                   JCO CALLS
                  SQL STATEMENTS
    InfoProvider
                  0SMD_PE2H
                  0SMD_PERH
But if I execute or check  this form, I receive this message:
Value "SERVLETS" for variable "E2E Metric Type Variable(multiple values)" is invalid.
I've also followed SAPNote 1435043 - E2E Workload Analysis - No applicable data found, and checked prerequisites, RFC's, Jobs, Extractors and executed SOLMAN_SETUP transaction.
I've followed all guides I've found for Diagnostics, but I don't know how can I solve this.
    Please, could you help me?
    Thanks in advance and regards.
    Tomas.

    Hi Tomas,
I have exactly the same problem, I am on Solman SPS22, LMSERVICE SP06 patch2.
and the satellite system pre-requisites and definition in SMSY are correct, also the MDX PARSER RFC is wrking fine.
any idea on why is the Portal activity reporing is blank, while i get data under all the other tabs.
Also, the agent application .log file shows the below warning
"PadcService@1cbd1cbd: file portalActivity_6057051_1278074505498.txt could not be deleted"
but i could not find the file in the satellite system.

  • Solution Manager storing ECC's ST03n data - is this possible?

    Hi All
Currently we keep the regular 3 months worth of ST03n data in our ECC System and there has been a request to keep more than the the 3 months. So as we don't really want this data in ECC we would like to take it out and have in in Solution Manager, this means that would then keep up to a year if necessary.
Can anyone let me know if this can be done and how?
    Thanks all in advance.
    Phil

    Hi Phil
You can configure your ecc st03n data to show-up in solution manager at run time (i.e. latest data), which will again be lost after three months.
However, if you do it this way, it is easier to write a script that can extract the data from solution manager and store it on disk etc.
    Thanks,
    Jayesh

  • Spliting data wrt data available in the columns

I have one table with column id,amnt1 and amnt2 with id as primary key
    WITH table_1 AS
select '1' id, '200' amnt1,'100' amnt2 from dual union all
select '2' id, '200' amnt1,'' amnt2 from dual union all
select '3' id, '' amnt1,'100' amnt2 from dual union all
    select '4' id, '50' amnt1,'' amnt2 from dualunion all
    select '5' id, '150' amnt1,'270' amnt2 from dualunion all
    select * from table_1
Depending up on the data in amnt1 and amnt2 i need to split the record.
In first case id = 1 i need to check if the amount is available in the columns. If both columns amnt is available then split that record in to 2 as below
    WITH table_1 AS
select '1' id, '200' amnt1,'' amnt2 from dual union all
    select '1' id, '' amnt1, '100' amnt2 from dual
    select * from table_1
in second case id =2 only one row as only one row only one amnt contains data
    WITH table_1 AS
    select '2' id, '200' amnt1,'' amnt2 from dual
    select * from table_1
In third case one row and in fourt case 1 row and fith case again two rows.
Basically if amnt1 and amnt2 contains data it has to split in to two.So the final result will be like
    WITH table_1 AS
select '1' id, '200' amnt1,'' amnt2 from dual union all
select '1' id, '' amnt1,'100' amnt2 from dual union all
select '2' id, '200' amnt1,'' amnt2 from dual union all
select '3' id, '' amnt1,'100' amnt2 from dual union all
select '4' id, '50' amnt1,'' amnt2 from dual union all
select '5' id, '150' amnt1,'' amnt2 from dual union all
    select '5' id, '' amnt1,'270' amnt2 from dual
    select * from table_1
    Please help
    WITH table_1 AS
    select '200' amnt1,'2010-02-02' date1,'100' amnt2,'2010-03-08' date2 from dual union all
    select '500' amnt1,'2010-02-15' date1,'300' amnt2,'2010-02-08' date2 from dual union all
    select '500' amnt1,'2010-02-18' date1,'300' amnt2,'2010-04-09' date2 from dual

  • SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.0 EHP 1  - need to update the stack?

I'm trying to understand the enhancement pack concept and what I need to do to update our solution manager.

    ST-ICO 150_700: patch 0022
    CPRXRPM 400: patch 0015
    CRMUIF 500: patch 0003
    PI_BASIS Support Package 04 for 7.01
    BI_CONT 704: Support Package 04

    ST 400: Patch 0021, CRT for SAPKU50015
    ST-SER 701_2008_2: patch 0005
    ST-PI 2008_1_700: SP 0001
    SAP_AP 700: Support Package 0016
Support Package 15 for SAP CRM 5.0
BW Support Package 04 for 7.01
I understand the current stack is 24.  Is this also EHP 1 ?
I believe I need to update to stack 24 in order to stay current.  Is that correct?
In addition, EarlyWatch indicates that the ST-A/PI is missing.  Actually it exists but is not the current package.  I believe by updating the stack, the ST-A/PI will also be updated.  Is this correct?
Should I update the stack to 24?  or just update the ST-A/PI?

Yes. Current support package for ST-A/PI is ST-A/PI 01M_CRM570.

SAP always suggest to be on current support package. But I always prefer to upgrade to n-1 strategy.

    Hi Siri,
You mean to say that data laod was successful but you could'nt find records in the Infocube. What was the processing type you used in the Processing tab page?.

  • More than one Solution Manager

    Hi,
We have 3 data centres around the world and each have a number of SAP systems, ABAP, JAVA and ABAP+Java. At present we have one central Solution Manager that is configured primarily for ASAP, change management etc and not really configured for CEN or RCA.
So my question is, has anyone setup more than one Solution Manager when they have multiple data centres around the world or is everyone just using a central Solution Manager?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards
    Brian

Thank you for your reply. Our Central Solution Manager is already 4p/8c with 20Gb on Windows Server 2003 and when we connect all our SAP instances, some 120 of them then the Solman basically stops. So I am curious, very eager to find out if anyone has setup more than one Solman to handle large numbers of SAP instances and handle geographic separation of SAP instances.
    But thanks for your reply.

  • Using HR data in R/3 to create business partners in Solution Manager

Is it OK for me to setup Solution Manager to automatically download HR data from R/3 to create the Business Partners (employee role) in Solution Manager?
We have setup SAP CRM 4.0 to automatically download the HR data and create Business Partners (employee role) in CRM.  Since Solution Manager has the CRM component in it, I assume we can do it as well in Solution Manager.

  • SSO from Solution Manager to Wily Enterprise Manager issue

    Hi,
We are facing problem in SSO from Solution Manager to Wily Enterprise Manager. We have done the configuration as per the Wily Enterprise Guide- "Introscope Version 8 Installation Guide For SAP" Page 38.
Our Solution Manager system is running on AIX platform and Wily Enterprise Manager is on Windows 2008.
This is what we are trying
SOLMAN Production Client --> SOLMAN_WORKCENTER --> INTROSCOPE WORKSTATION --> this opens a new browser page and from there we click on Start Introscope -->
Result --> SSO doesn't work, still we get login window.
Introscope Enterprise Manager logs says -->
9/12/11 10:47:17 PM BST [WARN] [Manager] Single sign on failed: No SAP single sign on ticket was found in the request header.
Note: Another Solution Manager system in our landscape (on windows 2008 platform) is connected to same Wily Enterprise Manager (windows 2008) and from this solution manager SSO to Wily Enterprise Manager is working.
Please help me with your expertise to solve this problem.
    Best Regards

    Hello Singh,
Could you check if you have maintained these parameters in instacne profile ?
    From SCN post -> http://scn.sap.com/thread/969538
    Hi Hector,
To configure SSO as per initial setup guide, please check your profile parameters in your Solution Manager as below:
You have set up SSO, see also:
SAP Note 817529: Checking the SSO Configuration
Installation Guide and Security Guide for SAP Solution Manager
Create the following profile parameters in the instance profile:
    login/create_sso2_ticket = 2
    login/accept_sso2_ticket = 1
icm/host_name_full = fully qualified server name
This parameter must be attributed to the fully qualified server name (for example wdfd002568.wdf.sap). The name must contain at least two periods. See also SAP Note 434918.

  • Wily Introscope Version for Solution Manager 7 SPS 17

    Hi
We have a solution manager 4 (now 7) running on an ABAP stack only, this was recently upgraded from Solution Manager 3.2 which was installed 3 years ago as ABAP stack only, this server was never powerful enough to have the Java stack added and the project did not require it.
I am now looking to migrate this ABAP Solution Manager 7 to a new server, using ABAP & JAVA so I can make use of Solution Managaer tools like Diagnostics, RCA, WILY etc.
On a sandpit copy I have migrated the ABAP instance to a more powerful server and added the Java Instance from the Solution Manager 4 Installation Master, so I now have a dual stack SM 4, I have patched this to SP17.
I am looking to install Wily Introscope for monitoring, I have read Note 797147 - Wily Introscope Installation for SAP Customers, where it says you should always use the latest version of Wily, which is 8.0.2, but looking at the note, the downloads for Introscope Enterprise Manager and Introscope Workstation are from SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.0 EHP 1, but I am not running Solution Manager on EHP1, I am on SP Stack 17.
Looking in the SWDC there are downloads in  SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.0 -> Entry by Component -> Solution Manager JAVA Stack -> WILY INTROSCOPE ENTPR MGR 8
Is this what I should be using for my SP Stack 17, or should I use the EHP1 version?
Also, setting up the Solution Manager Diagnostics, is there a setup PDF for Solution Manager 7 SP17 ? I cannot find a setup guide for this release, most are for EHP1, I would rather not have to implement EHP1 as part of this migration !
    Thanks for any help.
    Paul.

    Hi Bhudev
Thanks for the reply, I presumed it was the Wily introscope 8 without the EHP1 I required.
As for installation guide, I have think you have misunderstood my question, I already have the wily installation guide from the note location, I wanted to know if there is any Solution Manager Diagnostics setup guides for SP17 ?
When I use transaction SOLMAN_WORKCENNTER --> System Monitoring --> Solution Manager Diagnostics --> Diagnostics System --> Diagnostics Setup --> Setup Wizard
the first 2 (of 23) setups are failing :
SSO The value of profile parameter login/accept_sso2_ticket could not be checked
BI Cannot invoke CCMSBISETUP on host localhost
    Warning :
User(BI) Role SAP_BI_E2E does not exist
    Then it says :
To complete the Diagnostics Setup, you should perform the following operations as documented in Diagnostics Setup Guide
I cannot find this Diagnostics Setup Guide for SP17 ?
The installation guides are mainly for EHP1, media library under sap-ag.de/diagnostics does not show this setup guide, Master Installation guide does not mention it, so was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for this guide ?
    Thanks,
    Paul.

  • Import of Solution Manager reference data to ARIS

    Hi all,
I would like to import SAP Solution Manager data to ARIS.
Is it possible to perform that simply importing a SolMan file including reference data to ARIS or do we need to create an interface between SolMan and ARIS?
We would like to do this in the most simple way as possible since it is for demo purposes only.
So if you have any idea please let me know.
    Thanks,
    //Anders

    Anders,
I have done similar demos in the past. based on my experience I am giving a quick step by step procedure for doing this.
Create Project in SAP Solution Manager and define system landscape by choosing the
SAP components based on the selected scenarios.
(ii) Analyze and Select the content from the Solution Manager BPR based on the
    finalized Scenarios/Processes.
(iii) Establish a Project Database on the ARIS Server and merge the As-Is Scenario/Process
from the existing ARIS DB into this.
(iv) Synchronize Solution Manager Project with ARIS and establish the link between
    ARIS Project DB and SolMan.
    (v) Perform analysis of the As-Is Process in conjunction with selected scenarios from Solution
