Solution Manager - Issue when Roadmap is copied
Dear All,
I am copying a standard roadmap and then assigning it to my project. When I execute the RMMAIN transaction instead of getting the graphical representation screen with the various buttons for each item, control goes to the next screen where the roadmap structure is available in the left with the detail tabs in the right.
And I get the below message

The mirroring is not centralized on drive letter but there will be some issues when you add a file to a PRINCIPAL, the DDL gets applied across mirror, then your database will go into suspended status until you duplicate the path on the mirror.
Its recommended to have same identical configuration.

Solution Manager - Error when executing Job SM:EXEC SERVICES

I am trying to get the data from the earlywatch alert report and when i start the job SM:EXEC SERVICES.
The jobs starts but i get an error during is execucion:

What happened?
The following syntax error occurred in the program
RDSVASAEW_DBMSS____________052 :
"INCLUDE report "/1CAGTF/IF_LOGFUNC_000208" not found."
Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "SAPLDSVAS_PROC" had to be terminated because one of
the
statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
I tried to generate all the function modules and i get this error:
Logical function: MSQ_TEMPDB_DOWNLOAD :
Error 1 during generation of /1CAGTF/IF_LOGFUNC_000208
Syntax error.
Can you help me on this error?

As a pitty, that's a well known error.
Please check [SAP Note 727998|http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/727998]
Basically, these three steps needs to be performed:
1) BDL_DELETE_ALL_TABLES
2) SDCCN - Refresh Service Definitions
3) Generate Logfuncs
SE37: /BDL/_GENERATE_LOGFUNCINCLUDES
OPTION: ALL
It's also described in the Implementation Guide (IMG), transaction SPRO in the SAP Solution Manager system:
SAP Solution Manager -> Configuration -> Basic Settings -> Standard Configuration of Basic Settings -> Solution Manager -> Service Data Control Center
-> Activate the Service Data Control Center in the Solution Manager
-> Generate Includes for Service Data Contol Center
With the next ST-PI Support Package. The steps can be triggered via the menu of transaction SDCCN.

Solution Manager project - no roadmap available for CRM 7.0 EhP3
Hi all,
I'm setting up a new project in solution manager for an upgrade.
However, in my roadmap selection tab, there's no roadmap for CRM 7.0 EhP3 (or even EhP2).
Is this just not available or can/should I update this list?

There are two possibilities I see here.
1-Your roadmap list is not up-to-date.
2-There is no roadmaps for these specific product/version delivered for the solman.
I would recommend you to first check the ST-ICO package SP level. The whole documentation content (Roadmaps, BPR, templates,...) are delivered by this component, so in order to have the complete and must up-to-date list, you'll need the latest SP-level.

documents ,Buisness blue print etc..

Power Manager issue when switching to and from AC
Currently I have several Lenovo Brand laptops in my environment T500, T510, T520, T530 and a T430s Running a custom image of Windows 7 Pro with a few Windows 7 Enterprise.
Here is the problem. I can boot fine, but the boot state is important whether I'm on AC or not on AC. What happens if I boot while on AC everything is fine until I unplug the Adapter. The Power indicator start flickering rapidly..Actually pulsating rapidly is more accurate and the laptop becomes unresponsive until the AC Adapter is PLUGGED back in.
If I boot off AC everything is fine until I plug it up then the Power indicator pulsates rapidly and the machine is unresponvie again until the AC Adapter is UNPLUGGED.
Right now the only solution is to uninstall the Power Manager software and all is fine. Once that is done all is fine, there are enough laptop with the problem for me to worry about when it takes 2 minutes to uninstall the software and it happens to a small precentage of macines.See if this helps

Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost). -
Solution Builder issue when activating a solution
Hi all,
I am working with the Solution Builder tool to create my own all-in-one solution.
So far I've created several eCATTs and BC Sets referencing my own variant files, and it works well.
But I'm facing an embarrassing problem when I create a BC Set or an eCATT without any variant nor external reference; the Solution Builder refuses to activate my solution because "Installation data upload incomplete" (when attempting to activate the solution).
On the whole, I don't really understand how the Solution Builder checks if the installation data is complete.

System copy guide for Solution Manager 7.0 SPS15
Hello,
a new hardware is needed for our SAP Solution Manager 7.0 SPS 15. I will install a new SAP Solution Manager and do a system copy from the old hardware to the new one. There is no migration neccessary, because OS and DB will be the same.
Now I'm searching for some informations and guides to do a system copy of a SAP Solution Manager. All I found was a system copy guide of Netweaver 04s SR3/SR2 with informations about Java Usage Types but not for Diagnostics.
Are there any guides or howtos to do a system copy with SAP Solution Manager ABAP+JAVA? Does anyone have experiences and advices?

I am having trouble when I attempt to access the solution manager. When I am at the main screen for SM (the one with the horizontal display of the projects, early watch report number, system monitoring number, etc.), and double click any of the projects, early watch reports, system monitoring, etc. I get the following dump:

I suggest you go for copy system option as it will copy all the config settings also
Only in case if IP etc is changed the RFC needs be regenerated again otherwise basic settings will be there.
This saves a lot of time

Problem with Solution Manager wanting to adjust its own instance
I have a situation where under my landscape components --> systems in SMSY where I have a "yellow" exclamation point in a box that says "newer version exists" for my existing solution manager. When I try to adjust, it doesn't let me select the system because they are on the same host. Therefore, I can't do the adjustment. What is the problem? Any ideas how I can do this adjustment? Thanks. Thanks Ragu. I've dug a little deeper and this is what is happening when I try to assign the Solution Manager instance to a logical component:
I receive an "instance
adjustment required" message for the actual solution manager instance
itself, so I had to manually set the product and set it to leading as
leading (even though there was no other solution manager instance).
This means that the solution manager system itself is set to manual
adjustment. I've gotten it to read from the SLD, but it is still acting as though it is missing a NetWeaver ABAP Server on the same host as the Solution Manager.
Here is what I do to get the above issue to reproduce:
I've done more trouble shooting and found that if I go to installed product versions in the Solution Manager System and click on Clean-up Inconsistencies, I get
the attached screenshot showing that a Product SAP NetWeaver with main instance "Application Server ABAP" is inconsistent (on the same server as the Solutiion Manager instance, the Solutioni Manager instance doesn't show up in the System landscape either). Cleaning up the inconsistency doesn't fix the problem (leaves Application Server ABAP) in place. Meaning when I try to fix the inconsistency it won't let me. Configuring Solution Manager: Alternative Role to SAP_ALL
This is a general question regarding configuring Solution Manager and note 834534. I am configuring Solution Manager 7.0 at a client site. The main components that I am configuring are on the Monitoring and Operations side; for example, System Monitoring, Service Desk, Issue Management, and Change Management for Maintenance Optimizer. CHaRM will follow later on. Additionally, the client would like to use the project side of Solution Manager.
When I took training for Solution Manager from SAP, the SAP instructor advised the class to have SAP_ALL when configuring Solution Manager The problem I am having is that the client will not issue me SAP_ALL in the Solution Manager instance, regardless of the recommendation in note 834534. I can understand the client's reluctance to issue SAP_ALL, even though Solution Manager is not a financial system in of itself, however, I have found that I am constantly having to ask for authorizations as I step through the wizards and the Scenario-specific settings. When I run into issues which require further investigation by running transactions to check certain settings that are not specifically tiedd to a wizard or scenario-specific setting transaction, I run into further delays as I ask for additional authorizations to troubleshoot issues.
We have implemented the roles and assigned them to my ID in Solution Manager as outlined by the SAP Solution Manager Security Guide to the fullest extent possible; and I have been issued "Basis Roles" that the client issues to their Basis team. Regardless of these actions, I still run into authorization issues.
My question is, apart from the SAP Solution Manager Security Guides recommendations (which does not mention SAP_ALL), is there a role being developed, or has been developed that can be assigned to the Solution Manager configurator in lieu of SAP_ALL (as per note 834534)? I would think that this issue has been raised before, particularly since many companies have implemented SOX controls and are skittish about issuing SAP_ALL.

While I appreciate that you do not use SAP_ALL, is that the case when you are configuring a brand new, clean system? Are you using the Configuration Wizards with out SAP_ALL? I ask this because when I ran the first configuration wizard, one of the steps is to create a "configuration user", which creates a user with SAP_ALL. However, I cannot use that wizard generated user ID because it has the role SAP_ALL.
In general, I am operating on 3 sources of information that says I need SAP_ALL to configure the system (not necessarily to operate it):
1. An SAP Instructor for the Solution Manager Operations and Monitoring Class
2. The IMG Activity "Create Configuration User" documenation in SPRO
3. Note 834534

With respect to note 123640, I am not sure if that solves my problem or answers the fundemental question that I have in that given the 3 sources I quoted above. It seems to me that SAP's approach in indicating clearly that they prefer that the configuration user should have SAP_ALL is flawed given today's corporate governence policies. Clearly this recommendation is only for the initial configuration, and SAP_ALL can be taken away and replaced by the roles and recommendations in the SolMan security guide; to maintain Solution Manager. But when it comes down to the question "what do you need to configure Solution Manager, because we won't give you SAP_ALL", I am hard pressed to give an answer despite literally spending hundreds of hours researching "documenation" which does not give clear cut answers. I think SAP needs to address this issue instead of taking the easy way out and saying you need "SAP_ALL" as illustrated in the 3 sources of readily available information cited above. -

In my experience many SAP customers have a one or two system landscape in Solution Manager.
For customers whose main line of business is providing service with the Solution Manager, I would recommend a three system landscape (dev, qas and prd). For customers who run less critical functionality with Solution Manager, and when costs of hosts for the Solution Manager systems are an issue, one or two tier system landscapes can be also considered. Other than this, I don't know any document with precise guidelines to answer your question. At the end it all depends on the scenarios you want to run, and how critical the functionality you run with Solution Manager is for your company.

SAp has provided Screen profile and Function code for creation of incident.Chnage request in Solution Manager.But when i try to create a new incident/CR from existing Incident as follow up transaction, the same screen doenot get defaulted.Item details is the first screen which come in front when we create a follow up transaction from existing SLFN incident.

System Monitoring with Solution Manager Ehp1
Hi,
I'm Tomas Piqueres, and I'm working in a VAR SAP with Solution Manager.
Recently, we installed Solution Manager Ehp1 and we are trying to configure it for System Monitoring. When I worked with Solution Manager SP17 I used to go to transaction RZ21 to add the system I wanted to monitoring and then put the SID and RFCs of the system.
Now with Solution Manager Ehp1, when I create the system in transaction RZ21, first I have to set the Component Type to Be Monitored and then the SID, Message Server Logon Group, the client and user are set automatically, and the password I've set to user CSMREG.
when I fill all the entries, I can see the RFCs used for the monitoring of the system. Those RFCs are set automatically:
<SID>_RZ20_COLLECT
<SID>_RZ20_ANALYZE
I can't edit those RFCs, so I have to create it manually. I check that RFCs destination works fine and both pass the authorization test, so when I try to save the system at transaction RZ21, I see the following errors:

I need to configure EWA from my Solman system and I completed the steps (defining and creation of RFC destinations to the target systems from my Solman system). I downloaded the lates ccmsagent file from the market place based my target system configurations.

I have the Iphone 4s, and was trying to update my software to iOS 7, and i keep getting a network error, or an Unable to connect to iTunes. Can some please help me or explain what this means.

Im almost sure that iphone doesnt have pic message sending unless someone knows something I dont. Also im having problems with my maps app. It keeps closing on me when I hit the find me button. Any Ideas?
