Solution Manager key error when installing ECC6

hi
Iam installing ECC6 abap+java and facing a problem with the solution manager generated key.Each time iam putting in the key its says its the wrong one.
i dont know where iam making a mistake.i managed to generate one before when upgarding to ECC6 and it work withou any problems.
am i making a mistake somewhere?
help appreciated

Hi,
Let me know your SID, Instance No, and Host name. Also write what SOLMAN Key you have entered. I can cross-check that is correct or not.

I can not re-install/ update apple iTunes on my HP PC running Win7-64. I get a registry key error when installing and am asked to make sure I have access. IT is a home PC with one user and I have admin priveledges.

When the updater notified me of an iTunes update, I selected the update option. The update failed and killed the version I was running. I have tried for a year to fix the problem without sucess. I can't completely remove all Apple products. I can not install any apple products especially iTunes which is the only one I am interested in.
When I install iTunes now I get a registry key error similar to this:
I am using a machine where I am the only user and am the Admin. I have looked at the security settings on this key and see nothing wrond with it or the parent keys. I tried removing all apple products but ran into similar problems. At this time I still have Bonjour. Mobile Device Support, Software Update, and Application Support installed.

These ones are tricky. But the following instructions are worth a try.
First do a complete uninstall of iTunes and related components (but don't reinstall just yet), as per the following document:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
a. Launch regedit (Start >> Search Programs and Files >> type Regedit and open the regedit that comes up.)
b. Access the following Location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData \S-1-5-18\Components
c. Perform the following actions
i. Right Click on Components Folder
ii. Select Permissions
iii. Select Full Control and Read Permissions options
iv. Select Advanced Button
v. Select Owner Tab
vi. Select to Change Owner to the Administrators
vii. Check the option “Replace owner on subcontainers and objects”
viii. Select OK when prompted that it may not change all.
ix. Select Apply
x. Select Apply again
xi. Exit the Registry Editor
Now try reinstalling iTunes again. Does it go in properly this time?

From logs:
28: No space left on device
Check the disk space. If linux, use df -h command. Windows its easier
Check if any drive / file system is 100% used up.

Error when installing license key

Hello,
I use Interactive form for Adobe and I have credential file saved in the correct directory.
In the Visual Administrator, when I want to install the license key : I have the message :
"The password entered does not match the credential chosen. Please enter the password for the chosen credential".
I have a pfx file and I choose : P12 Record / ReaderRights /

I stuck at same problem. I finished install Solution Manager 4 but after install license received from SAP i got error (1) so I edit text file like you did and got error (2).
After send this error to SAP, They told me that I have to install the latest version of Sapcryptolib as descript in sap note no. 662340 (SSF Encryption Using the SAPCryptolib). But it still dont work.
Do you found any method to resolve problem?

my db hostname is : deleted
sap system id : deleted
central instance number: deleted

It is illegal to provide keys here.
You have to install a solution manager first before you can install an ERP 6.0 system - or open an OSS call if your Solution Manager is not (yet) available.

I need an urgent assistence if any buddy can help me I would be very great full, I am receiving an error during the installation of SAP ERP 2004 SR1 IDES, ABAP system central instance as for this I have to give a key to SAPINST which I generated from Solution Manager 4.0 I striclty followed the same step which is defined in SAPNote 811923. But the SAPINST not accepting the key it gives me an error "SAP Solution manager key is invalid ".
So guys any idea how can I get rid of this

Hi Syed,
the installation asks you for 'central SAP system' which must match the string for 'message server' when generating the key in solution manager exactly. maybe you can double check if you used the correct hostname (not FQDN) and made no typo?...

Is that an error 2 message?
If so, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

ERP install - Solution Manager Key

Dear all,
We want to have one test system up and running but we are not interested in installing the solution manager.
Can someone generate the solution manager key for us?

Central Instance Host = HPA
Central Instance Number = 00

During the installation of sap system it will prompt for Solution manager key, In sap-inst screen only it shows the
System ID: sp1
instance number: 00
Host name :
Enter these values while solution manager key generation, then it will work fine

im installin erp 6 ehp4- and i need to insert sm key-
i use with the TA "SMSY"
and generta a key -
i get a massege that -
"the Solution Manager key '07D8FD7DEB' is not valid. Enter the correct key for host 'newsap', the SAP system ID 'SP1' and the central instance number '00'".
i check tha parameter - and i get always the same number- and its uncorrect/

i got rid of the problem,
when i want to login as sysdba in cmd, it says oracle error 01034
then tried these steps
set ORACLE_SID=XXX
sqlplus /nolog
conn system/manager as sysdba
shutdown abort
startup
then i tried to reinstall , it worked.

Solution Manager Key for Java AS

I'm new to SAP Netweaver so maybe this question has been answered before.
I need to install SAP Netweaver AS Java for development/QA purposes. I understand that I need also Solution manager key for installation so I installed another Solution Manager System.
When I enter to Solution Manager http://<server>:50000 I get "System Landscape Directory is not accessible. Only local system can be administered". What does it mean? I remember I chose to create local SLD.
I saw also in couple of threads the following:
Just go to transaction SMSY transaction of solman and locate the system for which you need to generate Solman Key and just right clilck on that system...You will find the option of Generating Solution Manager Key....
I don't have such an option when I enter to Solution Manager.
Any suggestions?

Which parameters are required for generating a solution manager key?

Hello All,
I generated a key in Solution Manager, to install a SAP NW 2004s SR1.
But I receive an error during the installation from the SAPINST:
"SAP Solution manager key for the instance number... is invalid ".
I already changed the parameters for generating the key, changed the instance number, hostname, but I still receive the same error.
Could someone tell me which parameters exactly are required for generating a solution manager key?

Dear Sri,
this is exactly what I have entered, I still get the same error message.
My entries in SAPINST:
SAPinst founds one system instance on the host with
the Instance number 00,
the Instance name SCS00.
And ask for the Central Instance parameters:
there I enter 01 for the central Instance number,
the hostname
and the solution manager key generated for the instance number 01!
