Solution Manager : TC SOLUTION_TRANSFER , Solution Import Error
Hi All,
I am trying to export a Solution from one Solution Manager to Another.
I have exported the Solution from System A using TC: SOLUTION_TRANSFER , a solution.zip file was generated , now when I get to system B and was trying to import the solution.zip from TC:SOLUTION_TRANSFER , i get a short dump with error " The ASSERT condition was violated" , The zip file is around 128 MB. Does anyone know a way around this situation.
Thanks for your help
Thanks
Uday
Hi Uday,
the parameter icm/HTTP/max_request_size_KB holds a maximum file value for the upload via WebDynpro . The default value is 100 MB. You need to adapt the value to upload a file with size 128 MB. You'll find more details in

How to push tickets from one solution Manager to other Solution manager
Hello,,,,alll

i have done lot of rnd over it..weent thru all the spro settings......even had my developers work day in day out....but the output is not satisfactory!!!!!
is there any way i can do it only via customizing!!!...no development ....
Achilles!!!!!Hey Shridhar,
I think you can do this by copy the whole client from one system to another.
Instead of using the ABAP consultants, get in touch with BASIS consultant to achieve this.
I have not tried this, but do let me know about it holds for you.

Forward message between CUSTOMER Solution Manager to VAR Solution Manager
Hello,
we have configured our solution manager for VAR enviroment.
Now we need to connect the customer solution manager to our VAR solution manager to forward the message opened at customer site.
In Solution Manager VAR documentation I found 2 documents (How To: Setup Service Desk 2 Service Desk (Demo) https://websmp207.sap-ag.de/sapidb/011000358700000129912009E.ZIP and How To: Einrichtung Service Desk zu Service Desk Verbindung https://websmp207.sap-ag.de/sapidb/011000358700000025722009D.PDF) but they are not very clear.
Did anyone setup this configuration?
Thanks

Hi Andrea,
- What's not clear?
- What information is missing in the documents?
Just post your questions here in the forum.
(I have not yet configured it on my own.)

Solution Manager vs Enterprise Solution Manager
Dear All,
We already have solution manager installed in our SAP System landscape.
But a visiting consultant give a new word to managers about enterprise solution manager with following benefits.
1-If we have enterprise solution manager then SAP AG can access our system and inform us about system health.
2-If we have enterprise solution manager then SAP AG will react on our ticket not on what we send but on the the actual actual condition of system.
3-We can only utilize our support services in a right way if we have enterprise solution manager.
1- Now first where I can check that the installed solution manager is standard or enterprise?
2- The benefit which is listed above is really available in enterprise solution manager?
3- Any tutorial or link defining how to install and configure enterprise solution manager.
Any response will be highly appreciated

Solution Manager 7.1 solution can not be edited
Hi Guru!
I have a problem about basic configuration of a solution manager 7.1 sp10, in the "specify solution" task i can't edited the logical component.
do you have any idea for editing the field?
ThanksHello Sunil,
"Solution SAP Solution already exists and cannot be modified" means that the SAP Solution is already there in your solman system. go to tcode solman_directory and you will see the list of all solution present. if you click on solution node, you will be able to see the logical component assigned to this solution.
If you want to delete this solution, then first you have to remove the logical component from solution

Transfer Incidents from Solution Manager to another Solution Manager
Hi SAP experts,
Do you have any idea how to transfer incidents from one SolMan to another? Can this be done via LSMW? What are the pre-requisites? Thank you.
regards,
GraceHi,
In such case , As Michal said, you can go for external integration like connection solution manager incident management to other system incident management
check connect service desk to service desk, I am not sure, this helps to move the already created tickets to new system. But you can check.
Thanks

Solution Manager 7.1 Basic Configuration error
Hi guys
I'm having problems with accessing the basic config wizard via spro, i'm also having the same issue trying to run "solman_setup" and "workcenter". For both issues i get "Internet Explore cannot open the webpage". The ITS is activated along with the ther services. If there's any settings that I"ve missed your help will be very much appreciated and please let me know if you need more information from me.
Thank you.Hi ,
I suppose you are not having problems with the FQHN in other web screens, so DNS should be fine.
if this is a Microsoft Windows system I would try this workaround.
note 677118
(*) One quick solution is to update the hosts file on each
work station. (Only an option for small installations.)
File: \WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
Add new line: 10.17.73.210 hostname.domain.ext
This must be done per workstation.

Solution Manager project export / import
Hi,
is there any possibility to export the project files from Solution Manager, change some data in an other program and then import them back to solution manager? This whole import/export process should work automatically.
The entire thing is to avoid that the users have to work with the Solution Manager instead of their usual and well known programs for project management.
RegardsHi Andreas,
Currently there is no possibility to perform this.
kind regards,
Fabricius
