all i can say is update all of your stuff (software, drivers, windows, etc). Make sure your computer has no problems (spyware, viruses, etc.)(use ad-aware, spybot and ewido). Clean-up the junk and registry (www.ccleaner.com , works great). this should fix most of the problems
P.S. those of you with video viewing problems --> change QuickTime's DirectX settings (under advanced tab)

After much tinkering with Aperture 1.0, 1.0.1, and 1.1, I've found the solution for all the problems that Apple is having with Aperture:
They should simply acquire Capture One Pro and use that as the foundation for the RAW conversions in Aperture.

in my opinion Aperture 1.1 is a killer application for editing files. The support for systems with two displays is the best I have worked with. But there are many fields to improve.
- Quicker, easier and reliable IPTC keywording like iView Media Pro offers.
- Still needed: better conversion of RAW files. Capture one Pro´s Color tools are very precise. When you are shooting portraits stay with C1. I have to open nearly every image converted with aperture within Photoshop. This is barely needed with C1Pro.
- The HUD experience is still weak I think. Tweaking an image exactly is painful because the sliders are too small and sometimes a little move of a slider meens a lot of change inside the image.
- Generated Webpages are full of coding errors. Weird thing: the templates are correct.
- Versions of images should be marked more clearly. Please show me names or Pop-Up notes or something.
- Having a closed vault looks good and sounds cool. But for now my vault holds 36 GB. This will grow quickly. I don´t feel good about it. I could use several vaults. For every month, every year. But am I able to search in all of them at the same time? Does Spotlight searches inside Aperture libraries? I dont think so. iView does. So I use iView to keep an eye on my aperture lib. That sound like a joke...
But I like Aperture a lot. It is a revolution. When I work with images I usually have 2 to 6 versions on my harddrive. Plus backups. One original. One for print, one for the web, one for the client and so on. This is all gone with Aperture. And that´s great. But a revolution is not an easy thing. Many things are to improve. And they have to be improved without loosing this Aperture thing.
My conclusion for now: Aperture is a workhorse. It helps a lot to edit images and to distribute them. It helps to keep images organized.
It is not a digital archival system nor a high precision raw converter. When you are shooting lots of images during events - use Aperture. When you are shooting high quality productions use anything what makes sense to you. Aperture is a version number 1.1 We have to be patient until the revolution evolves.

Delphi is the solution to all of javas problems

java does not compare to delphi...appications that take me 20 minutes to do in delphi takes 3 hours in java, even more you dont have to wait 45 seconds for some crap IDE to load for java. j++ is rubbish but forte is more, oh sorry, i meant net beans......
another problem: RAM...more RAM...more more more more more more more more more RAM needed.
in conclusion, change to delphi, its the right thing to do! ;)
PS...when will they create a successful OS in java...oh sorry, how much RAM is that going to take? maybe it will be sorted with jdk 1.9.4_02_01_001!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. turn off wlan .
2. setting > connectivity > setting > destinations > internet
3. sure the WLAN must be off then press hold on access point of WLAN and delete it .
good luck . now the WLAN not try connecting again .

I believe that tuning is more than tweaking the kernel. Amount of
memory, hard drive configuration, etc. will affect this. I have a
big IDE and three SCSI drives that are split between RAID-5 and
RAID-0. How to tune? IDE and RAID-0 have no redundancy, but three
drives in RAID-0 pulls twice the troughput of any other drive.
If there are specific things in the kernel that need to be fixed,
I'd hope that Oracle would release those fixes to the world at
large, rather than forking the kernel. It'd be nice to be able to
do a "make xconfig" and be able to turn on/off anything that
would be specific to running Oracle, if they prove to not be
useful to the generic user.

The message seems to totally disappear. It is going to an AOL customer in UK. I changed their address to start with a lowercase letter & the message was returned to me by AOL as undeliverable, I then changed the first letter of the address beck to upper case, the same I have been using for years, but again it disappeared.

McAfee Site Advisor 3.4.0 just came out of the addons blocklist, and you have SiteAdvisor and even though that is the current version; nevertheless, you should uninstall it and reinstall it as noted in https://community.mcafee.com/message/203466 for a fresh version with only current files.
Also refer to http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problematic_extensions relating to McAfee Site Advisor 3.4.0 for more specific instructions.

Hey everyone. I'm struggling just like you all with a million different problems since "upgrading" to iTunes 7.0 and 7.0.1. But I just solved my problems, with no help from Apple..
Admittedly, I am using Windows Vista RC2... though perhaps this solution will trigger brilliance for those of you using XP. Here's what I did:
I clicked on Help>Run Diagnostics, and ran the Network diagnostics. I noticed the following:
"Current user is not an administrator."
Well, that didn't make sense to me. There's only one user on my computer, and that's me.. and I'm an admistrator. But - and here's the golden ticket of information - Vista automatically runs programs as "not an administrator" so as to prevent the program from taking over your computer, and apparently, this newest version of iTunes can't handle that.
This feature of Vista's seems like a pain in the butt, but it's actually a good security measure. We could argue that at another time. Let's not.
Anyway, you have to tell iTunes to "Run As Administrator". Here's how:
--- Find the iTunes.exe file on your computer (not the shortcut on your start menu, but the actual .exe file). It's probably somewhere like c:/program files/itunes/itunes.exe or something like that.
--- Right click on the file, and click "Properties".
--- Click on the "Compatability" tab.
--- At the bottom, click "Run this Program as Administrator".
--- Click OK, and close that window.
Now try running iTunes, and run the diagnostics again. This time, it should say:
Current user is an administrator.
Now, see if any of your problems are fixed. In my case, this fixed several problems.. including my inability to download any song from the ITMS, and my inability to play any songs that were previously downloaded from the ITMS.

I simply modified the code to allow for CI and CO tasks, similar to your VI, and it worked fine. I've attatched the modified code below. However, I was unable to run your code without receiving the error you were seeing. Even after I made the VIs identical (leading up to the Start Task VI), I saw different bahavior. The VI that you are working on may have been corrupt. This modified example should be a good starting point.

Macbook 2.0 intel core duo ALL KINDS OF PROBLEMS HELP PLS

This all started last week. In an effort to be more economical, I decided to keep my macbook and not get a new one. The battery was not doing well...so i bought a new one. I purchased Leopard and tried to install it...it installed but after it just stayed stuck on the gray apple screen. I tried troubleshooting. I reinstalled Tiger that came with it and it had the same problems. Anyways...a couple days ago I tried to reinstall Tiger again and it started working. I have been having problems with the rainbow wheel coming up all the time...so I figured maybe the ram is bad. I ordered new ram from crucial. I got it today and installed it and now the macbook will not even power up. I followed the troubleshoot guidelines and even installed the old ram again nothing.
So, I'm stuck. Is the logic board again? I had it replaced like 7 months after getting the macbook and now it is out of warranty. Please help. Thanks

Since you say it worked to some degree but then not at all after installing new RAM and then after reinstalling the old RAM it would not even work as well as it had prior to the RAM installs, then it sounds like one possibility could be that the logic board is failing do to cracked circuit traces (caused by thermal cycling) and the removing and reinstalling the RAM exacerbated the problem.
The next thing I would try to do would be to cool down the computer to 50F or so and try it. Next try heating it up to 90F or so and try again. The temperature changes can affect a defective logic board. Not that this will solve your problem, but it can tend to validate the possibility of a defective board.

Hi everyone,I'm new here. I've been reading about all of the problems everyone has been having with their X-Fi's. I realise how everyone must feel that they spent ?XX or ?XXX getting a brand spanking new soundcard that claimed to be the best money could buy. I'm here to try and get this sorted for you. Let me explain. I'm a computer enthusiast. I, like a lot of you, have an awesome computer. However, i don't have an X-Fi (one is on the way to me though). I'm not here to show off my specs. I'm here to try and offer a solution. I've been thinking about this. And i thought, why don't we, as a community, make some modified drivers, or, some application that can read the BIOS chip on the X-Fi (i assume they have some sort of BIOS chip, like most GPU's). I don't have much experience in reading system data, but i do know about programming. Or perhaps some sort of system patch? The "Screech of death" and the "cracking and popping" seems to happen on a wide variety of system configurations, but does seem more prevalent on Asus boards. I have a theory that it occurs due to the FSB/HTT being too high. Perhaps someone could try this for me:?) Go into BIOS and change your HTT or FSB Multiplier down one step. So if you have set it at 5X, set it to 4X. Then, try and see if you can replicate the problem. If it reoccurs, then try lowering it one more just to be sure. If it doesn't reoccur, then we have one part of the problem solved. If it does, then we can remove that. Next, IRQ's. I realise this has been posted a lot around here. But, this is for those of you with some sort of Onboard audio (which are a lot of you i imagine). I've done a bit of research with my own system (Epox EP9NPAJ SLI motherboard, which is NF4 SLI Chipset) and i've discovered that the onboard audio, is sharing with the Primary?PCI IDE Controller. Now, even though IRQ Sharing is part of the PCI specification, has anyone thought of disabling onboard audio? Or completely disabling that IRQ? Now, if you don't have an FDD, you could potentially try assigning IRQ 6 to the X-Fi as IRQ 6 is a uni'versal IRQ that is used for the FDD. If that doesn't work, perhaps you could try the following:?) You need to disable your onboard LAN and all references to LAN and NVidia in your BIOS.2) In IRQ's, assign the NVidia Netbus IRQ to the X-Fi. Ususally, this is IRQ 22, but you should check this in Device manager in Windows (View ---> Resources by Type ---> Interrupt Request ---> Nvidia Network Bus Enumerator). Obviously, this means you lose networkability, but if it solved your problem, you can always buy a PCI network card. If not, then reassign the IRQ to the Nvidia Netbus to reenable networking. Next one, PCI Slot. Again, i know this has been mentioned a lot, but try changing?the PCI slot that the X-Fi is in. If it still causes problems, then try one or more of the steps above. Next, memory. I don't know if this has been mentioned or not, but it may help. Try this, go into your BIOS and loosen your memory timings. So, if you have memory timings of 3-3-3-5-T, try adjusting it to 3-3-3-5-2T. If this solves your problem, good for you! If not, then try changing it to 3-3-3-7-T or 3-3-3-7-2T. Again, if this solves your problem, well done! If not, readjust your timings to what they were before. You could also try using a lower memory divider. So if you have 200 divider, try 83, or even 66. Solved your problem? Nice! Not solved? Sorry. I realise that people are very stressed about the problems, but i would appreciate it if you didn't flame me. I am not here to interfere, i'm simply here to try and provide my knowledge to you as best i can (i'm currently studying for Network+, A+, Customer Support (ITSST: Information Technology Systems Support Technician) at college). I do have a background in Computers, and even though i'm only 7, i know about things like this. No, i don't work for Creative. I am not part of their team, neither support, technical or software. I just want to work towards a solution. Let me know if there are any problems, or if you have any suggestions or any case studies i could use. Like i said earlier, please don't flame me. I realise that almost all of you have been in contact with Creative. I also plan to present the case study to them along with possible causes and solutions. Please do not flame me for planning to do this as i am only here to try and help you out. If we, together, as a community can get to the bottom of this, then we can let the whole world know that we know what's wrong and how it can possibly be solved.
