Solution to Auto Tune 4 showing unsupported in Audition

Hello there,
Recently I updated Auto Tune to the latest Version 4.3 DirX. Although there were no problems with other Audio Editors on my computer, after I refreshed the effects loop in Audition 1.5, Auto Tune was shown as unsupported. I searched the Adobe data base and could see others have had this problem, but I have been using Auto Tune for quite a while, and this was the first sign of a problem. One of the posts had found a solution by editing the Registry, (which proved to be correct). However, I decided to email Antares first. Antares replied quickly with the solution,(which worked), and explained that the problem occurred with the change from Cool Edit 2 to Adobe Audition, and that the problem is specific to Audition. So, here is what to do if you are affected by this......
This fix should only be attempted if you are comfortable working with the Windows Registry.
(1) Close Adobe Audition.
(2) Open the Registry by going to the Start Menu, selecting Run, then typing regedit, and clicking OK.
(3) Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, go to the key
\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Audition\Plugin\DirectX\
(4) Locate the Data Item whose Name is (02A06B08-744E-40E3-8B78-E45D71750DC8)
(5) Delete that item.
(6) Close the Registry.
(7) Run Adobe Audition.
(8) In the Edit View, Refresh the effects List.
All should now be well.

Can Audition match Auto-tune?

Auto-tune pitch correction software from Antares can change pitch on a note-by-note basis. I have seen it demo'd but have not tried it.
What I'd like to know from those in-the-know, is how the pitch tools in Audition -- Bender, Correction, Shifter -- compare. They do not appear to be as user-friendly or offer the kind of control and accuracy as Auto-tune.

Like SteveG I go for the manual correction every time but that is nothing to do with AA - I would never even use AutoTune in automatic mode and it has nowhere near the power of AA's pitch correction.
The point however is that AA has these great 'hidden' functions and as SteveG says the good thing is you have a choice.
Some time ago I made a video showing just how to use the manual mode and I think that really tells a much better story.
I know SteveG is looking at showing it on AudioMasters but in the meantime you can see it here http://www.aatranslator.com.au/training.html

Effects similar to auto-tune in CS5.5?

Anyone know how I can apply effects similar to auto-tune in Audition CS5.5? I don't really want an effect as strong as most mainstream music, only to add a tiny bit of trance/robotic echo effect to my vocal tracks, similar to some parts in Pentatonix's Daft Punk track: [Official Video] Daft Punk - Pentatonix - YouTube.

A couple things to check:
- Make sure you've got the latest AME 7.0.1 update installed
- Try holding the Shift key down while launching AME to clear your prefs. If that doesn't work, try deleting these folders (NOTE: this will delete any user presets or custom workspaces you've created):
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\AME\7.0\
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder\7.0\
- Try adding your Premiere project directly to AME's queue via drag-and-drop or by using File > Add Source. Do your sequences render correctly in this workflow?

Auto tune

I been running the PID auto tune wizard in lab windows cvi and can't seem to find how to determine if the operator canceled the operation. Is there anyway to determine this? I would appreciate any help!

After looking at the code for the wizard, you are correct and there is no callback function for the cancel button. However, there is a workaround solution, although it is somewhat of a hack. Essentially, you will have to get the active panel, which would be the Autotune wizard panel, and then loop through all the controls to find the cancel button. You can then create a function for when that button is clicked. Attached is a small example that creates a pop-up window asking "Do you really want to cancel?" when the cancel button is hit. In order to use the example, load the attached .c file into your project and be sure to #include the header file at the top of your main source fle. Then call the command HookDialogCancelButton, passing it your panel handle, directly after the line where you are displaying the autotune dialog box. For example:
HookDialogCancelButton(gPanelHandle);
You can modify the CancelButtonCB callback on the attached .c file to have whatever functionality you desire.

How to get auto tune to load up in logic pro 9

how do you install auto tune in logic pro 9 mac osx 10.7.4

This is what I've been doing - was just curious if there was a way to see a more cohesive image.
If the individual EQ plugins are in fact the answer, is there any way to smooth how the Analyzer displays? The image I posted above, all of the tonal curves are very smooth. The analyzer tool shows a lot of peaks and valleys within the overall curve and it's hard to pinpoint each instrument's "sweet spot." Vocals for example are very hard to spot.

"Other" includes data such as contact information and photos assigned to contacts, calendar events, Safari bookmarks/cookies/history, notes created with the Notes application, SMS messages, email stored locally or cached, and 3rd party application data created and stored by the application.
If "other" is more than say .75GB at the most, you had a corrupt sync. Try syncing again and if the problem persists, the recognized fix for this is to restore your iPad.

No. it is not the same. to get those fast pitch rises and falls, you either need auto tune, or a really good Vocoder.
Try using a Vocoder instead. This will be closer to that sound. BTW I work in syndicated radio, and it is the single most overused effect right now, so IMHO, try something else. We're starting to get listener complaints about having so many songs with it on our chart. Seriously...

Auto Tune - customized feature (preset) request

The Auto Tune feature usually works quite good and is a real time saving feature. But on some sets of images the effect is too storng (for my taste). If we can have a 'preset' or ability to customize the strenth or effectiveness of the Atuo Tune (i.e. simlar to the FADE SHARPEN in Photoshop after applying the SHARPEN filter), it will be very helpful. This will be very helful especially when we are doing some batch develop with Auto Tune.

The count value depends on the resolution of your motor. Set it to be the maximum counts you want your motor to travel while responding to the signal sent for auto-tuning. Take a look at the following tutorial for more detailed information on servo tuning:

Auto Tune prior to running motion control program (LabVIEW)

I am controlling Parker Compumotor (404-LXR) linear servo table via GV6 drive and PCI-7344 motion controller.
The problem is that I always have to run automatic tuning in MAX when I turn off all the system and restart it.
Before I use the automatic servo tuning in MAX, the servo table buzzes and oscillates wildly. Cabling seems to be successful as linear servo motor is completely controlled by LabVIEW after auto tuning in MAX.
I wonder how I can just run my LabVIEW program without running Auto Tune step.

Thank you for using our discussion forums. Yes, you can programmatic load the PID parameters from LabVIEW. Tune your servo using auto tune, once you are satisfied with the response look under the Control Loop tab for the PID parameters. In LabVIEW use the Load All PID Parameters.flx and use the tuned parameters from Measurement and Automation Explorer as the PID Parameters input for this VI. Place the VI before the multistart.vi. This will make sure the correct PID settings are used. I hope this helps you out. Have a nice day!

Error 9006 when restoring your iOS device indicates that there is security software on your computer which is preventing connection to the Apple server or your device. To troubleshoot this issue please follow the directions below.

Anyone using Antares Auto-Tune 5 with Logic Pro 8 on a Mac Intel?

I just bought the upgrade from Auto-Tune 4 to Auto-Tune 5 since v4 didn't work with the Intel machines, and I'm using a Mac Pro.
After trying to tune one simple part of one song, I'm going nuts. The plug-in is full of bugs, it seems -- mostly in graphical mode. Is anyone else either successfully using this set-up or experiencing major bugs with it?

I'm thinking it's an Intel thing.
When I try to use the various tools in the graphical view, the plug-in will just basically stop responding. I can't close out the plug-in window, and sometimes the "options" window of AT 5 will pop up for no reason and freeze. Its "cancel" and "OK" buttons are non-functioning at that point.
I've hard to force quit Logic a few times now, which pains me to say. Not to mention that it's setting my project back.
Antares doesn't have a forum, and I can't find anything else about this apparent anomaly online anywhere.
Unrelated: I've had problems with Drumagog in LP8 as well. If I try to drag the Drumagog pop-up window around the screen, the only thing that moves is the semi-transparent LP 8 "container". The actual Drumagog window stays put as the LP 8 window that frames the Drumagog window moves about. Very strange.

Power-Cycle the modem... and then ower-cycle the router...then finally power-cycle your computer.
