Solution to Neo2 Platnium not POSTing

My friend and I were trying to get help for his Neo2 Plat. setup in this thread,  and the solution was so bizarre it needed it's own post.
In summary, the system wouldn't even POST, and all we had were 4 red LEDs. We tried switching to one DIMM in slot 1, based on a previous thread we found in the forums, but no luck. The PSU is one others claim to be using in a similar setup and is deemed sufficient, so we were about to blame a faulty mobo or cpu when I came across this old thread.
The blurb about taking out the battery seemed interesting, so we removed the battery from the system, plugged it back into AC, and voila!!! Boots right up, no sweat. Put the battery back in and voila!! Now she boots like a charm.
Effictively all we did was clear the CMOS, and we probably could have gotten the same effect using the jumper. But the question is: why did it need to be cleared to begin with?
This board was right out of a retail box from NewEgg..what happened to the BIOS that it needed to be reset before the 1st use?
Now this baby is ready to rock:
Chipset - K8N Neo2 Platinum
CPU - AMD Athlon 64 3500+ / 939 / OEM
RAM - Crucial Ballistix DDR400 / PC3200 / 2x512
Heatsink - Thermalright SLK-948U
CPU Fan - Vantec Stealth 92mm
HD - Wester Digital 74GB Raptor
Case - Antec Sonata
Optical - NEC ND-3500A DVD+/-RW & Liteon SOHD-167T DVD-ROM
Audio - SB Audigy 2 ZS
Video - EVGA Nvidia GF 6800GT

All new motherboards should have it's cmos cleared before you assemble it
in your own build.
You never know whats stored there after testing at MSI , dealer etc.
I have a rule of doing this in every new build to clear the new motherboards cmos before
powering it up with new devices.
I actually clear it when unpacking it from the box.
Everyone should do this , it's basic build procedure .

  • Neo2 will not post

I think I have recieved a bad motherboard. No matter what I do, I cannot make it post. Whenever I boot it up, I get a blank monitor. I used to get a constant beeping, but the motherboard no longer beeps. I have verified that the RAM and the video card are working. Upon examination of the back of the motherboard I have found scratches across some of the traces. A list of the parts I am using can be found in the first post in this thread- http://forums.extremeoverclocking.com/showindex.php?t=144112
Thanks for any help you can give me. If it turns out that the motherboard is at fault, would I be able to RMA it?

I was goign to make a post similar to this but this was on top and I dont want to "spam the board" as this has been brought up a number of times in previous posts, though I have not found help....
I just recieved my K8N Neo2 nForce 3 Ultra Platinum from newegg yesterday, and I have not had any luck with it so far.  I have an Enlight 430 watt psu w/ 18a on 12v rail, which could be my problem (i have read 24a is recommended for this board, but it should at least post?)
Heres how I have narrowed it down:
Neo2 mobo, enlight 430 watt psu, athlon64 3000+ (939), ati rage pro 128 agp card
    1gb (2x 512) mushkin DDR400(PC3200)(http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-146-219&depa=1)
I have tried just one stick of ram, and with no keyboards plugged in to even get something on screen...
I used stock thermal goop on stock heatsink, just plopped it on there and went.  I have a bfg 6800gt oc I used originally, but feared that it might be drawing too much power, so put the old rage pro in to test with, both give smae thing, and both work unless I fried em putting em in the new mobo.
When I plug the powre supply in, it turns comp on, I tried power button shutting down, and power button turning on, and nothing happens, nothing on screen, just all fans/leds turn on and nothing else.   I am guesing its power supply, as 18a on 12v line, but it should at least post w/ old vid card in and nothing plugged in correct?  The 4 diognostic leds dont do anything by the way, just blank

  • P6N + E8400 not posting

    Hi all!
I know there has been quite a few posts on this subject back in the days, but didn't seam to find a solution there :(
I decided to upgrade to the Intel duo E8400. My motherboard is this one http://eu.msi.com/index.php?func=prodcpu2&prod_no=1141&maincat_no=1, and the CPU is listed. the E8400 that I have is E0 stepping, and according to the list I need the v2.5 bios... Now I have 2.7 and it's not posting... Could it be that I have to downgrade to 2.5 to make it work? (btw is there some kina place on the computer I can read all my specs)

I basically have the same issue. I have a P6N-SLI and reciently upgraded to a E8400. After installing the new cpu the computer would not post. I found many issues on this forum and links Jack posted about checking the QC number. I checked and mine is QC 2. I also have the latest bios. I called MSI and they seemed to have no idea what I was talking about but gave me an RMA. MSI sent my same mobo back and said they found no issues with it.
I put everything back together and this time it posted and loaded windows. I figured everything was great... but it's not stable. It'll run Prime95 for a while but when I come back to check on it the computer is ether at a BSOD or it's rebooted. I have core temp logging the temps and they don't get above 120F.
I emailed MSI back to let them know this issue is still not resolved and included the links about QC numbers Jack had posted.
I've been without my computer for over a month! What do I need to do for MSI to fix this mobo or exchange it for one that will work with my E8400. They say this cpu is supported but it's quite clear it's not fully supported. A quick search on Google or this forum will show many users with P6/7 mobos having issues with Wolfdale cpu's. Many just give up and get a mobo from another company.
Can anyone help to get MSI to fix this?? My RMA is RR10031656
    Thanks,
    Bart

  • Biller Direct sporadically not posting Credit Card Payments to the backend

Hope someone has experience this issue before.  While we are part of the Public Sector - Higher Ed group, I believe others may have experience this issue.  I have spoken with the other Higher Ed customers and we have all experienced this, some more than others.    We have students who are trying to pay by Credit Card on Biller Direct.  While their payment is validated and their Credit Card  debited the payment does not feed to the ERP FICA system.  This can happen to one student and a second later another student can pay successfully then the student in error tries again and it does not work.  Some of these student have a lock that has been released.  We can post the payment successfully using Cash Desk at the same time the student can not post through Biller Direct.  Any help is appreciated.

  • Request IDoc : Application document not posted

I am loading master data in the development system for the first time after the basline config. I am getting the following error.
Request IDoc : Application document not posted

    Hi
Recheck the Connectivity RFC & IDOC too. you may ask basis for help.
verify the IDoc things no problem, connection and authorization between bw and r/3 established well.
try check in monitoring - menu environment
-> 'ale management' - in datawarehouse and in source system.
take a look oss note 520012.
    Symptom
RSINFO Idocs with status 51 are repeatedly sent to the top. IDOCs with status 51 (document not posted) queue for ALE inbound processing. This may slow down the system.
    Other terms
    IDoc RSINFO, status 51, bd87, we05, RSRQST, R3 013
    Reason and Prerequisites
The requests are started periodically and cause a R3 013 error message; the message is sent to the BW system but the requests retain a status 51. You can display the IDOCs via transaction we05. Enter RS* in the 'Logical message type' field and execute the process. You can also display the IDOCs with transaction bd87.
    Solution
IDOCs with status 51 can be selected for deletion by running the 'RBDMANIN' report; do not use the 'Import in the background' indicator (you must manually remove the indicator).
Each relevant IDOC is then processed separately in the foreground and you can decide for each IDOC if you want to select it for deletion.
    Hope it helps

  • PeopleSoft Reports 'Not Posted'

First of all I know that this a problem which has been discussed many a times here and in other websites. I have tried checking almost all the possible solutions for this and finally found that my problem is different than those already answered.
This is the problem with PeopleSoft CRM(8.8) with PT 8.45.16 and my application is running in Unix box. From process monitor, the reports are going to Posting status and finally going to 'Not Posted' status.Message log says 'PSUNX failed to post files to the report repository' then retries and finally unable to post them.
    DSTAGNT Log shows :

    Important Findings :
When I look into log_output folder, the output file still exists there
When I look in psreports folder which is my report nodes, I can see the file present there as well with timestamp of the last retry as per DISAGNT log
When I look in the PSDSTSRV service through PSADMIN, it gets loads everytime it tries to post the report and finally when it goes to Not Posted status it comes down to 0 load.
I checked my report node and they look correct.
So in this case, the ftp is finally working and putting the reports to the report repositary but for some reason distribution agent is not getting this information and so it is erroring out. Reports are stored in both log output and report repository.
I tried restarting process scheduler, clearing cache and deleting some old reports but still it is not helping it any way.
Any suggestions from you will be great !!!!

I checked after changing Logfence setting to 5 in process scheduler. It gave me more elaborated logs. As expected the ftp part went fine and the reports were correctly moved to psreports folder. But the process monitor still showing 'Not Posted'. When I looked back to the logs, the interesting message that I saw in Scheduler log as follws :
    Invoking service PostReport
    PSPRCSRV.21355 (0) [04/20/10 10:56:17](5) (NET.100): Network API tracing TUXEDO: tpalloc {type='CARRAY', subtype=NULL, len=8192}

It looks like it is not recognising that the reports are laready posted. PSDSTSRV process is not getting that intimation. Not sure about how it works internally, but looks like it is sending some asynchronous message is sent to App server for this? Is that breaking somewhere ther?
Also I went to the blogs and checked that in my existing installation, we have the setting already there. So, we are good with the overall configuration.
Any insight on this would be great.

  • Manual depreciation and Planned but not posted depreciation forwarded

    HI Expert,
We would like to request for Product Enhancement for Fixed Asset Module due to the inconsistency in the computation for the following:
u2022     The planned and un-posted depreciation is already considered as confirm transaction when they compute for the accumulated depreciation to be forwarded next year (as well as net book value beg for next year)
u2022     But as for the no of months (remaining life) u2013 it will only consider the no of posted months when they compute for remaining life of the asset
The current feature of SAP affecting our enhancement request is as follows
    1) Manual depreciation is currently validates manual depreciation based on Planned depreciation instead of Posted depreciation
    2) Remaining life computation for next year depreciation is based on posted transaction only
    3) When user wants to fully depreciate the asset, we cannot post depreciation based on remaining un-posted depreciation using manual depreciation
Based on this feature we want to request for the following enhancement
    1) For the remaining un-posted depreciation (especially if the previous year is already close), we should be able to choose which month we want to post the un-posted depreciation
    2) Since the remaining life computation is based on posted depreciation only, 1) the validation and 2) the net book value forwarded next year should also be based on posted depreciation
We have a sample computation based on current feature VS the suggested computation for SAP. Is there any way for us to import the file here at the forum? We will wait for your advice
    Regards,
    Amy

    Dear Kyriakos,
is this prior year closed in FI-AA already? If so, how were you able to close this fiscal year? This should be found as error by the fiscal year close report.
If the prior fiscal year is not closed, then you can either change the depreciation key to a non-calculating one (e.g. 0000) or set a shutdown indicator for the complete fiscal year. This should reduce the planned depreciation to zero. No posting or G/L entry is necessary therefor.
If the prior fiscal year should be already closed in FI-AA (still I would be wondering how you did that), you could use the solution provided in [SAP Note 29694|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/29694].

    Hi all,
    There is the following case.
In asset explorer there is planned depreciation which is not posted for prior year. I want to erase this planned depreciation (is incorrect) in prior year without affecting G/L. Could you please advise?
If this is to be made with ABSO and specific transaction type, could you please tell me setup of the transaction type?
    Best Regards,

  • Why third-party  billing  can not  post to accounting

dear ,when i  was  processing  third-party order  process ,all  step  is ok   ,s/o->p/r->p/o-migo->miro->billing
but  billing  is open ,can not  post to accouting  ,the error message is:
Document 90000043 saved (no accounting document generated),  someone  please  let  me  out ,thanks a lot  ahead .

Please do the checking step by step, maybe it will help in resolving the issue:
    1. Check Account Assignment Group of Customer, whether it is maintained or not in Customer Master. It is ideally required for T.Code: VKOA assignment.
    2. Check Account Assignment Group of Material, whether it is maintained or not in Master Master. It is ideally required for T.Code: VKOA assignment.
    3. Check the Account Keys maintained in Pricing Procedure T.Code: V/08, which is being called in transaction.Account Key is a must & integration factor between SD & FI.
    4. Now Check the T.Code: VKOA assignment. Incase it is maintained with Condition type KOFI, try it also by maintaining for KOFK & check the result.
For Tax Condition check if G/L account is maintained based on Tax Code for Transaction Key (same as Account Key on T.Code: OB40.
Also Check if the error message is for Foreign Data Incomplete.
While releasing inland sale commercial document / invoice to accounting, an error is confronted – Foreign Trade Data incomplete.
    Solution:
    Reference note – 34222
    a.     Transaction VOFM – Data transfer – Billing Documents
Copy Routine number 001 as 601. Apply code corrections as per note 354222.

    ENDFORM.
    b.     Transaction code – VTFL (Copy control – Delivery to Billing).Select the relevant delivery and billing document types. Go to item level and select the relevant item category (e.g.TAN).
Insert the routine 601 in ‘Data VBRK/VBRP’.
In case, one has already created billing documents, pl. refer to note 354222.

  • HP MS218 Not Booting - Does not POST - Cannot reach BIOS

    Hello,
I have an MS218 (product number: BR372AA #ABA) that I have been having issues with. It used to work fine (ran on WinXP), but currently will not even boot properly at all. No software or hardware changes were made to cause this problem to begin occurring, it simply just started happening one day when I went to turn the computer back on. The issue that I am currently experiencing is as follows:
    - Power stays on, but nothing is ever displayed on the screen
    - Does not post, cannot reach BIOS
    - Acts almost as if it is resetting itself constantly, the fan in the back will start to spin for a second or two, then stop, then start again, and repeat indefinitely until I unplug the power adapter.
I initially figured it was a hardware issue, likely the motherboard, and began to troubleshoot the problem. As I removed non-vital components, the problem would persist. For instance, it happens regardless of external things (keyboard, mouse, etc.) being plugged in, or regardless of the hard drive or optical drive being plugged in. It still appears to happen in the absense of memory, however, I will instead hear beep codes (likely telling me that I don't have any RAM in). Ultimately, I decided to order a replacement motherboard, which recently arrived. Upon replacing the motherboard, the exact same problems happen, which leads me to believe that the motherboard was somehow not the culprit. I have also tried multiple power adapters to no avail, as well as resetting the CMOS battery without any luck. I'm really at a loss for what to do from here, and am currently sitting on hold with HP tech support.
Any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance for your time and assistance.

    Hello Jaycera,
There are two more components that we haven't replaced or look at and I would approach them in the order listed.
    1. Power supply
    2. Processor
It sounds like it's a power issue the computer is getting enough power to start booting up and then losing it. Thus anytime I hear a power issue the first thing I think of is a power supply issue.
The other thing is it could be the processor. The computer starts booting, makes a call to the processor, fails, boots down, starts booting up, makes a call to the processor and here we are in a vicious cycle.
It could just be the processor needing reseated. Take it out, put it back in and make sure it's in properly and no pins are bent, or the processor could be bad.

    Hey @redleader74,
At this time I am going to have you unlock the hidden System Administrator Account and attempt an install under there. Ideally, if everything installs fine you should be able to log back into your normal User Account and the complete software and driver package for your HP Officejet J6480 All-in-One Printer will be installed and functional. Can I please have you follow the steps below.
    Step 1: Uninstall Drivers:
    Click on your Start menu
    Select All Programs
    Select the HP folder
    Select your HP Officejet
    Select Uninstall
Please follow any onscreen prompts to complete the uninstall. Once the uninstall is complete please proceed to the next step.
    Step 2: Clear Temp Files:
    Click on your Start menu
In the 'search programs and files' box located right above Start after you click on it, type %temp% and hit enter on your keyboard
When the Temp folder opens, select Ctrl + A at the same time on your keyboard. Everything in this folder will now highlight.
Select the 'delete' button on your keyboard. The Temp folder contains temporary internet files. No actual files or folders on your computer will be affected by deleting the Temp files. Should a Temp file still be used than you will automatically get the pop up to 'skip' that item.
Close the Temp folder once it is emptied
Right click the Recycling Bin on your desktop and select Empty Recycling Bin
Step 3: Unlock System Administrator Account:
Click on your Start menu and under the 'search programs and files' box type CMD
CMD will populate as a search option above, just right click on it and 'run as administrator'
Once CMD (Command Prompt) opens, type net user administrator /active:yes and hit enter
Next, close CMD and restart your computer
When your computer comes on log into the new Account that should show. It will be called Administrator and will not have a password on it.
If your computer automatically logs into your account after restart than go to your start menu click the arrow beside 'shutdown' and choose 'switch user'. Now log into the Administrator Account we just unlocked
    Step 4: Install Device:
Under the Administrator Account please click here to download the latest drivers for your printer.
Once the website opens select the Download button on the top left
Once the download is complete please follow the onscreen instructions to install your printer
Once the installation is complete, please test the functions of your HP Officejet to ensure that everything is functioning properly now. If everything installs fine, log out of the Administrator Account and back into your normal User Account. All the Software and Drivers for your product should show installed now on your Account. Once you're logged into your User Account please test your HP Officejet again to verify that your print and scan functions are still working.
If everything works fine, you will want to Hide the Administrator Account.
Go to your Start menu and under the 'search programs and files' box type CMD
CMD will populate as a search option above, just right click on it and 'run as administrator'
Once CMD (Command Prompt) opens, type net user administrator /active:no and hit enter
Next, close CMD and restart your computer
Please let me know if these steps resolve your issue. Good luck!

  • Cancellation Internal Credit memo is not posted into Accounting

    Hello All,
We have a requirement where the cancellation internal credit memo is not posted into accounting. It is a inter company sales return process. After return delivery, client created the internal credit memo. But due to some problem they cancelled the internal credit memo. But now system is not posted the cancellation internal credit memo into accounting. I did my analysis and found that client is using same number range for internal credit memo and accounting document. When internal credit memo is created system is assign the same number range to accounting document because of external number range field is ticked in Fbn1 .But due to wrong number assignment in internal credit memo. So when they cancel the internal credit memo, this internal credit memo number range is coming within the accounting document number range. But client is insisting that anyhow the cancel inter credit memo should be posted to accounting.
I have tried a lot. but i could not reach out to any solution. Kindly help me on proving me a solution on this.
    Regards
    Soumendu

    Dear Soumendu:
I had received this warning when the invoice was cleared. If you revert this process is possible to post the cancellation into accounting.
Please check the status of the invoice.
