If you get this error when you are trying to sync your iPhone with iTunes; it is because iTunes does not work well with the new processors i7 and i5 from Intel. If you are using one of these processors and you are getting this message: "iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000065)" and/or you are having problems syncing you iPhone; then you have to do this:
Enter your Bios and look for: Intel C-State Tech. ENABLE it! Problem solved.

I'm having this issue but I've checked my Bios and Intel C-State Tech is already enabled.

When I plugin my iphone to a wall, it refuses to charge (it just keeps making a bleeping noise).

Any suggestions? I replaced the battery hoping that would do the trick, but nada.

Did you try a different charger and a different cable? If it won't charge the error will go away soon also when the battery dies.

Solutions for "Unknown error occured" when publishing in iWeb

Many complaints where written on the forums about this annoying *"Unknown error occurred"* bug, while publishing in iWeb.
Until now, nobody could actually find the problem, but in most cases the problem is not a network connection, but an iWeb bug, that occurs during html files creation process.
I'm using iWeb a lot and through my work found several different solutions, that worked for me and for many other users. Try them all out, before going desperate and rebuilding the site from scratch:
1. Try closing and reopening iWeb (do it in all other steps between operations).
2. Try to publish the site Locally. If it works, try publishing to the server again.
3. Try publishing the ENTIRE site, first Locally, then to the server (File>Publish Entire Site). This operation forces iWeb to rebuild all the files from skratch.
4. Try closing iWeb and deleting the User/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iweb.plist preferences file. iWeb will create a new one again next time it opens (don't worry, you will only lose iWeb preferences, but not your website)
5. If publishing locally worked, but online didn't, then upload the locally published site folder to your server manually using any FTP client.
6. If nothing works, try reinstalling iWeb. Before doing that, back-up your project file, which is located at +User/Library/Application Support/iWeb+ to some other location.
Also, as an advice, avoid using non web-safe names in your files and web pages. I.e. - don't use spaces and Capital letters, this may cause problems. For example, instead of naming a file: "Nice picture.jpg", name it: "nice_picture.jpg"
Post more solutions, if you have them.

Try signing out of the app (Store menu,) quitting the app, restarting the app and signing back in.

Solution to "Unknown Error 1418"

I had the unknown error 1418, but I finally found a solution (with the help of this discussions). I hope this to be useful for you.
I am going to describe what happened since I had the first iPod's problem until I solved "Unknown Error 1418":
1. My iPOD was connected to my computer and the songs were being written in my iPOD, until the battery was too low and the iPOD turn off and disconnected.
2. I charged the battery and then I connected my iPOD to my computer again. iPOD was recognized by Windows XP and by iTUNES, but it doesn't start the songs transference. So, after a long waiting (15' aproximately), I disconnected the iPOD, although the message at the iPOD was "Please, do not desconect".
3. I reconnected the iPOD to the computer and, after waiting, appeared a message approximately like this: "iTUNES cannot read the iPOD. Please restore your iPOD". For me this message appeared in spanish, so this is just my approximate translation.
4. I restored my iPOD with the latest version of iTUNES, clicking in the restore button at the Summary tab of the iPOD options of iTUNES. The informacion in that window was:
Name: IPOD (It's real name was "iPOD de Samuel García Vargas")
Capacity: n/d (It's real capacity is 15 GB)
Software Version: 2.3
Serial Number: xxxxxxxxxxx (It's correct serial number)
Format: Windows
But after restoring, a new message appeared: "You cannot restore your iPOD. Unknown error (1418)". Here I have written an approximate translation to english from the spanish original message.
5. After trying the "five RS steps" I had no results.
6. So that's the reason why I came to the discussions of iPod and Jeff Bryan helped me by posting this discussion topic: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=640556&tstart=0
7. Then I didn't follow exactly what the topic said because the dialogue box telling that "a new version of firmware (ver. 1.2) was available" didn't appear. But it gave me an idea.
8. So I restarted the computer and connected the iPod. I had the same problems that I have described before (3 and 4) but while iTunes was trying to restore my iPod (without success), I disconnected the iPod, reset it (see the first step at "the five Rs steps") and reconnected to the PC... and iTunes continued the restoring (even while there was no iPod connected) and finally restored my iPod!!

I'am not 100% sure about your problem, but a few things are needed to know what happened. One, did you hack or jeilbreak your device? If yes then you pretty much got brickwd. If not, then did you try to put your iPod in DFU mode and then restore? (DFU - Power+Home button for 10 seconds HOLD, and then home for another 10 seconds.) Hope this helps, though I'amnot sure about the cause.

I've tried trashing my render files and switching to mercurey playback software only but it won't let me render or export.
It might be to do with Magic bullet looks plug in but I've used it and hope I don't need to remove it as I love it.

There's no one solution for Unknown Errors. You'll have to experiment with different things, hoping to stumble upon something that works.

HT201263 my iphone 4 went into recovery mode & will not restore. Unknown error 21 comes up on iTunes. Please can someone offer any ideas for a solution?

I have an iphone 4 nearly 2 yrs old. It has worked perfectly for that time. On Friday last (whilst away on holiday) I took the phone out of my pocket & it was lifeless. I tried switching it on, no joy, I tried the power/home button reset no joy. I plugged it into a mains charger & it came on but had a banner across the screen saying "verification required". I removed the charger & decided I would try again when I got home so I could connect to my PC & iTunes.
At home I went through the whole above process again but when I plugged it into the mains again it just had the Apple logo going on/off repeatedly. I plugged the phone into my PC & the apple logo appeared followed by the "connect to iTunes". In iTunes I get the banner "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes". So I click on "OK" the "Restore" then a banner asking if I'm sure I want to restopre the iPhone appears, press "Restore & Update". iTunes starts to remove the software, veryfies it with Apple & then another flag "The iPhone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (21) which appears to be a security issue.
I thought the above problem was something to do with O2 because I picked up my new iPhone 4S last Tuesday but was unable to set it up until I got back from my holiday, O2 say it isn't anything they've done.
My question is has it happened to anyone & can anybody offer a solution, is it a hardware or software issue?

Despite the fact that my network connection is working quite fine, this problem still persists. I can say that my connection is fine because I can surf the internet and furthermore, I used to connect to the iTunes store just before this incident happened which started from April 17, 2014 and persists until today. I tried to solve the problem by following the troubleshoot procedures given in the support section of this site but it really did not solve the problem. I believe that others are experiencing this situation as well very similar to mine when it comes to the time of occurrence as I have read in the discussions in this site. Even though we have different network connections, operating systems and other specifications, we still experience the same problem, so is there really a problem with our computers or is it with the iTunes? Triple click anywhere in the line below to select it and press Ctrl+C to copy it.
cmd /k netsh winsock reset
Press the WinLogoKey+R to open the run dialog, then Ctrl+V to paste, then press enter/return.
You should get something similar to this:
Reboot the computer and the problem should be resolved.
If it doesn't work then perhaps a full tear down and rebuild of iTunes will fix things. See Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for details.

I cannot save my work in Illustrator CC2014.1 due to an 'unknown error'. Any ideas on a solution?

I have produced some work in illustrator and wanting to save before I proceed but Illustrator will not allow me due to an unknown error. I have tried some ideas posted on the web (turning off the visibility of layers, saving as an EPS) but to no avail. I have tried resetting my preferences and turning off sync settings but again no luck. Is anyone else experiencing this and anyone have any ideas on a solution?

Tried that, (tried all the Save As options) and the same 'unknown error' occurs. I have tried saving as an Illustrator EPS and a different alert comes up as 'Cannot Save. A necessary item is missing: ID: 192'. No idea what the necessary item is? Mithril? Gold?

Deploying simple SharePoint 2013 feature causing error: "Error occurred in deployment step 'Add Solution': An unknown exception occurred while executing a sandboxed code solution request in the worker process."

When trying to deploy a sandboxed solution containing only a feature with a simple associated event receiver from VS 2013, I'm getting the following error:

I'm working in Visual Studio 2013, deploying to SharePoint 2013.
The SharePoint project is very basic. I've only added a feature and an associated event receiver. It works without the event receiver. Then after I simply add the event receiver I get the error.
I've tried deploying directly from VS 2013 as well as publishing to a .WSP and uploading via web interface. Same error reported using both methods. I'm doing this using an Administrator account that I've confirmed is a site collection administrator.
Additionally, I've found that if I change Sandboxed Solution to False, deploy it, retract it, then change Sandboxed Solution back to True, then I can successfully deploy it. But this doesn't seem to be a permanent solution as the error will resurface a day
or two later...

Error Compiling Movie: Unknown Error - Simple Solution in Premiere

ADOBE PREMIERE EDITORS: Be forewarned about the infamous "Error Compiling Movie: Unknown Error." It usually doesn't happen unless you're editing a big project like I am and then it screws with you because you've been editing fine until it's time to export and you can't even make your project into a movie, which defeats the purpose of all your hard work. I looked up forum after forum and finally there were a-few solutions that worked for some and not for others. (Adobe said they will get their team on this case right away.) Let's just say I do not have Final Cut Pro, so I cannot export to XML and then import into FCP to do the exporting like some people found helpful. Nor do I have the time to import my Premiere project into After Effects only to manually create all of my "dip to white" transitions. But I would have had to do that if nothing else I tried worked and thankfully, I was able to trick Premiere. It's so simple, it's stupid. Just open a new project in Premiere. Then "import" the project you wanted to export. For some odd reason, without changing anything of substance or in other words, doing practically nothing about the issue, it exports now. Just because I opened a "new" project and "imported" my old project. Of course, this may not work for others, but please try it and then reply your results. Me and I'm sure Adobe would find it very helpful to see if that worked for most people. It worked for me.

I agree, Jim, but my train of thought was that a lot of people were changing and replacing and taking out effects and clips from their sequence to see if it was the components in the sequence that was causing the "unknown error." However, I had the same "unknown error" and was able to export in Premiere anyway by just practically "telling" Premiere that it's a new project, when I'm importing an old project to do the same task. Which makes me think that maybe Premiere doesn't have a problem exporting the specific files that most people thought were the problem, maybe it was just a glitch somewhere in Premiere that made the software think there was a problem after a certain amount of time, when there really wasn't. I don't know, I'm not a coder so that's just my layman guess. I did notice that Premiere was exporting/rendering fine when I was just beginning my project, but after it got to a certain length, that's when I couldn't render or export anymore. It honestly baffles me too. It would be useful to see what the results are if other people tried this simple switch-a-roo so possible issues can be narrowed down.
