SolutionCenter.msi, What is it?

Hell
Every time I open up my Solution Center to print from my C4580 I am getting a pop up window that cannot find the path to a file called: SolutionCenter.msi, does any know what that is or are having the same issue and how do I correct that? Thank you.

Welcome to the forums @TripleMRocks
I read about the "SolutionCenter.MSI" error you are noticing and I am hoping to help you!
First of all, check out this link to a post from another user here with the same error, which was resolved by a patch. Try the patch: Accepted Solution solutioncenter.msi popup at HP Solution Center startup
If the patch does not seem to help, try completely Uninstalling the Printer Software, restart your PC and reinstall the printer: HP Photosmart C4500/C4524 All-in-One Printer series Full Feature Software and Driver
Let me know the outcome!
Good luck

  • Missing solutioncenter.msi file for 7210 running windows 7

Every time I re-boot, I get a prompt that says "can't find SolutionCenter.msi."  HP has a fix here for this BUT...
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=us&lc=en&softwareitem=mp-77737-1
I did the download, save and run... but it says this doesn't support anything I have and that I don't need it.  WELL, I darn sure need something  !!!!  I have spent hours trying to get rid of this stupid prompt that appears every day when I boot up. Is there anyone at HP that can help me get rid of it or FIND "solutioncenter.msi'  ??? Your help would be GREATLY appreciated !  Thanks !

I received an email saying there were new answers, but the page it linked me to had about 100 options (links, etc.), but no answers and no apparent way to navigate to any answers. Glitch? Poor page design? who knows, but another waste of time on the annoying issue. I got rid of the prompts by uninstalling Solution Center, but can't reinstall as HP says it's not available for Windows 7. Well that's what I had all along, so why no longer available? This is SO frustrating !!!

  • Popup message - Windows Installer tries to Install SolutionCenter.msi, but unable to find it.

The message is from Windows Installer and says Please wait while the windows installer tries to install SolutionCenter.msi.
But then it says it cannot find the file.  I cannot get rid of the message and don't know what to do.  It is hard to even get out of the popup message.

  • Officejet 7410xi 'SolutionCenter.msi not in ...'

Printer: HP Offijet 7410xi All-in-One + Installation CD, Computer: Dell XPS 8700, OS: Windows 8.1
Issue: When HP attempts to update the printer software, update process error message: SolutionCenter.msi not in C:\Users\TEST\AppData\Local\Temp\7zS1628\setup\SolutionCenter\ with a browse option.
The update completes when the  Installation CD is inserted and 'browsed' to it.
To  avoid digging out the CD everytime, I copied the entire  Installation CD to a folder, HP Install, on the computer.   BTW, no SolutionCenter.msi could be found after copying into  HP Install.
When the update process begins again later and I browse to the folder,  HP Install,  Same error message.
Please provide a work around so SolutionCenter.msi  (and other files) can be found on the computer and update process completes successfully without resorting to inserting the CD.

  • ITunes.msi (What is it And Where Is It?)

I just started having problems with iTunes on my compy. I've tried uninstalling iTunes, so there's nothing there. Yet, when I go into Add/Remove programs, iTunes is still there. What's left of it is about 109 MB in size. If I click remove, the computer tries to remove it, but can't because it can't find the folder iTunes.msi If I try to install iTunes, I run into the same problem. I also get a message about an older version of iTunes being on the compy, but I know there isn't.
What can I do? This is driving me nuts.

Do you still have the iTunes installer you used originally?
If so, I would try manually removing the iTunes installer entry using the Microsoft Windows Installer Cleanup Utility, available here:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
Download and install it, then run it (should be in the Start Menu).
Find iTunes in the entry in the list, and delete it.
Then run the iTunes installer. Hopefully it won't complain that iTunes is already installed. If it does, try deleting the iTunes Program Files folder and running the installer again.
    Good luck!

  • ****URGENT*** HOW TO REMOVE SOLUTIONCENTER.MSI MESSAGES ***PLZ HELP***A909N PRINTER

Why can't I find a solution to this on going situation? These dialog boxes continually appear, it is totally annoying - why can't HP FIX this situation? I found the following on the web but as I followed the instructions - lo and behold - I don't not have the following file 'hprbui.exe' - so I am sort of like lost as to what to do next? I am looking for something to cease these dialog messages...
    Disabling Notifications
1Turn your computer on and wait for Windows to load. Click "Start" and select "Computer." Open the C drive, commonly labeled "Local Disk" or "C:" and then open "Program Files." Open the HP folder and double-click "Digital Imaging" then "Product Assistant." Select "Bin" and double-click "hprbui.exe" to launch the HP product assistant.
2Click "Preferences" and "Disable Notifications." Select "Disable Solution Updates" and click "OK" in the resulting dialog box. Exit the Product Assistant and click "Start" then "All Programs." Click HP then open the HPSolution Center. Alternately, you can type "HP Solution Center" in the Windows Explorer search bar directly under "All Programs" to find the software.
    3
Click "Settings" and move the cursor over "Other" to bring up a menu. Select "Update Preferences" and un-check the box labeled "Enable help Contents updates automatically." Press "Close" and exit the Solution Center.
Please don't instruct me to delete the Solution Center program and re-install with the CD that came with printer. Why, the CD that came with the printer is obsolete per HP Printer Support - I have been calling (early 2011) on the problem since I was instructed to download one of HP's software upgrade to the HP Solution Center (as a matter of fact - I received a 'fatal error'). I was fortunate enough to be get my system back (without HP's support...)
I also received this error code (ONE time only thus far) Windows Installer Configure Solution Center Error Code is 2761 - Solution Center.MSI...

The install program is looking for the original temporary install directory (7ZSxxxxx)  in the dialog box. Since this was probably deleted from the computer you need to you run the HP Printer install program for your printer up to the point it has extracted all files and arrives at the HP install screen - it will create a new folder of a similar file name in the temp folder (usually 7ZSxxxxx) . access the folder by "Start" "Run"  "%temp%" and rename the folder to the name that is showing in the dialog box. (The dialog box can usually be made to reappear by starting the HP Solution Center if not showing) Now click "OK " and the install should finish and ask for a restart.

  • Having a hard time installing the latest verison of i-tunes. my laptop can't find the path ITUNES64.MSI" WHAT TOO DO NEED HELP . uninstall the old one now i can't install the new one..heip

can"t install lastest verison of itunes. path too ITUNES64.MSI" unable to find. uninstall tunes and still having the same problems
what do i do to reinstall itunes????

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • MOVED: Sos Voltage Settings on MSI 785GM-E65 Help Help SOS

This topic has been moved to Overclockers & Modding Corner.
    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=136226.0

    Actually it concerns the Voltages.
When I installed this CPU in this board everything was AUTO, in Windows the Voltage read 1.4v.
This 955 Black Editions has Stock Voltages of
    CPU VDD 1.35v
    CPU-NB VDD 1.25v
    HT Link 1.2v.
However because the BIOS does not output all these voltages in the Right Column as to what they are set to reflecting realtime measures, one has to 'boot' into Window to look at the readout.
BIOS Terminology is my main concern so I can set them appropriately to 'stock' first then raise them.
It seems with this board because it has the several different methods to OC that some voltages cannot be adjusted properly so they are already preset to certain stable measures pre-thinking someone will OC.
This not good.  Since if the Processor for the CPU VDDC voltage is set high the VCORE get hot quick.
So, I'm asking for the correct stock voltages for the above for this 955 Black Edition CPU RB-C3 125w/TDP
on this MSI 785GM-E65 Board.  Don't care about OC at the moment.
I need to know from MSI what the stock voltages are for Each Option.
Lastly, the NB Chipset voltage is set at 1.3v from the Factory along with the HT Link.  When I lower the HT to 1.2 the SB voltage activates and these two move in unison. Which is very uncool and odd.

    Hi guys.
When I try to intall iTunes its says something like this "Can't read the file: C:\WINDOWS\Installer\QuickTime.msi"
    Whats wrong?

let's try this procedure first with that one.
Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. then use it to clear any existing QuickTime installation configuration information from your PC:

    4. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
    5. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\.
