Also, you would never have to lose your warranty, you can reach out to our Regional Support Office and they can revert the software back (by you visiting an office, or mailing the phone in).

For what it is worth I have noticed a similar issue from the iPad3 while at work and home. At work we have two Apple TV 3rd Generation installed and tied to our A/V system. I believe the issue has to do with a timeout on the broadcast saying "here I am" and allowing devices to connect.
For example:
At work we have several Wi-Fi SSID being broadcast from Cisco APs. The only one we can use with the Apple TV is the one that uses a WEP since the others are either setup to be hidden, require web page authentication, or have a login requirement from employees. Essentially, what I believe the issue is that the Apple TV periodically broadcasts a message to other iOS devices that support Mirroring. When the Apple TV does not get a response from a device it goes into a dormant mode and requires either a command from the remote control or a reboot. This has been tested with both the power management enabled and not enabled with the same results.
As for when I come home, the Apple TV3 has not seen the device in some time and therefore is not broadcasting it's location information. A simple click of the circle or menu keys on the remote will give it the command to start broadcasting again and allow the iPad3 to see the Apple TV. When trying to Home Share the computer can not play (iTunes 11, Win8RTM) until the Apple TV is awoken then it will show up for mirroing.
This may or may not assist you but, it hopefully explains how the issue may be happening. -

When I edit a song in itunes (i.e change the year) on purchased songs, the next time I return to itunes, the information has reverted back to the original information. How can I change that?
When I purchase ITunes music, and it is a song from a Greatest Hits album, the Year of the song shows the year the CD was released and not the year the song was released (i.e. a song may be from 1986, but the Greatest Hits album was released in 1999, so my songs in ITunes show 1999). So, I go into each of those songs and change it to the year that I want to be displayed. As long as I don't exit out of ITunes, it will show the year that I changed it to (i.e. the 1986 year in this case). But if I exit out of ITunes and then return to ITunes, the year reverts back to 1999. The same happens if I change the genre of a song from, say 'Pop' to 'Alternative', it will revert back the next time I log in.
Oddly enough, as soon as I right-click on that song to change it back, the year/genre that I had entered returns.
How can I make it so my changes are permanently displayed as I want them? This is pretty annoying when I try to find a song on my Ipod under a certain genre, but it doesn't appear in that genre because the incorrect information gets synched to the Ipod.Make sure that these two options in Edit > Preferences > Store are turned off:

When I stream videos from my laptop onto my Apple TV via my iPad 2 using the Air Video app/server the video plays great however when I pause the video the Apple TV reverts back to the home screen within a few seconds and then when I want to restart watching the video I have to re-buffer the video. Is there any way I can stop the Apple TV from reverting back to the home screen when I pause the video I’m watching?

In iTunes I'm having problems changing the "Media Kind" in the OPTIONS menu from "Music" to "Audiobook". After going through the steps, the next time I check, the items have reverted back to "Music". What must I do to save it as an "Audiobook"?
After more digging in the Support section here and some Google work, I turned off iTunes Match and lo and behold! I can change the media kind to Audiobook! So, it looks like iTunes Match locked the files up somehow and for some reason.
I went into iTunes Store > iTunes Match > "No, Thanks" to disable it on the local PC. -
After I edit a raw file in Lightroom 5 and with raw 8.5, the edited files revert back to being unedited. Any ideas?

What little symbol? Do you mean the up-arrow symbol that appears top-right of grid or film strip images? This indicates that the image has been edited by another program.
Or do you mean the "+/-" symbol that appears bottom right?. This appears after editing, but if it disappears subsequently without you doing anything, it sounds like something nasty is happening to the catalogue or image xmp file on disk.
Lightroom doesn't use ACR (8.5 or any other version) - it has the same functions built-in. ACR is used only by Photoshop. Are you opening the images in ACR in Photoshop? -
my ibook keeps shutting down completely with the date to reverting back to 1969. i restart only after i plug in charger it lets me, then change date and save. the next time i use same thing happens, safari, iphoto, email are the only ones i have used.

ibook g4The iBook does not have a backup (PRAM) battery. It only has the main battery and a small capacitor which maintains the settings long enough to do a battery swap. If the battery is dead, what you are seeing can happen.
If the battery is not a problem (or even if it is), you could try resetting the PMU and see if that helps. -
I Pad Air, I OS 8, just download several days. having issues with; screen reerts to a previous screen without input. 2 On Google Earth cannot get street view in "some instances", Okay on regular computer. 3. Unable to clear off screen, which causes problems trying to get to diferent website.
Whenever I say I "Rebooted" I always did a shut down/start up. Not a restart.
What you said works as a temporary fix, but I don't want to keep doing it because:
1) The drive makes a noise when the computer is shut down indicating the drive was disconnected improperly.
2) I don't want to shut my computer off after every use, nor do I only want to back up my computer once every few days. -
On bulitine boards the visited links revert back to unvisited when I close and reopen Firefox
This began today. When I either shut down and restart the Mac or close and reopen Firefox the links that I had already read revert back to unread status. This began today for no apparent reason.
I am running 3.6 because every time I would update the a newer version this same problem would happen, up to now it did not happen on 3.6.Some bulletin boards load threads in a frame and in such a case is the visited state not kept after you close Firefox.
If it happens with all links then make sure that the history is enabled.
This can also be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Puzzle: A special mouse
There are 12 mice, only one of them has a different speed to eat cake. Can you find out the special mouse?
1. With 5 cakes, to eat 3 cakes at the beginning;
2. With 5 cakes, but not to eat 3 cakes at the beginning;
3. With 4 cakes.
(Note: The cakes have same size, you can order the mice to eat or to stop, the difference of their speed is less than 1%, but you can clearly observe which cake is gone firstly. You may also split a cake in half or even quarter, the parts may be similar in size, but perhaps not exactly the same.)
Puzzle: 1 stick and 5 poises
You have a straight stick in same thickness from top to end, and 5 poises each weighs 1 KG. If you hang 2 poises at the 2 ends of the stick and use you finger to support the stick, you can find a ½ position when the stick balances, you can mark the position. But it is not that easy to find a 1/3 position, because the stick itself has weight.
Can you validate the weight of a thing which is specified as:
(1) 16 KG
(2) 1/12 KG
(3) 1/30 KG
(4) 1/35 KG
(5) 2^(1/2) KG

Puzzle: Killer
There are 12 people including 2 killers, every night one innocent guy is killed, and the following day, the people will vote the suspect. Everyone has to vote on 2 people, should not vote on himself, killer refuses to vote on killer. The guy who gets the most votes would be executed, if more than one guys get the same most votes, they are executed as well. If they can figure out a real killer from the voting, then don't execute the suspect who has the most votes. When a real killer is executed, his identity will be revealed. The procedure repeats everyday. Can you advise a voting solution to find out at least one killer after only 3 people died?
(Note: if you ask A vote B, but A refuses, then both A and B are killers. And one is already killed before the first voting.)
Puzzle: Killer II
There are 212 people including 2 killers, when a guy is killed, he can identify the 2 killers, and stick out fingers or not stick out any finger on his right hand to give clue to other people(6 types of gesture). The other conditions are the same as the first killer puzzle. Can you advise a gesture and voting solution to find out at least one killer after only 3 people died?
(Note: there is also a totally different solution for 151 people scenario, both solutions are very hard to imagine.)
A bum in wine cellars
There are 9 wine cellars located side by side in a street, a bum is hiding in one of of them. Everyday he would drink one bottle of wine and leave the empty bottle on the ground. Everynight, he will move to an adjacent cellar. From the day he begins to hide, the police begin to search, everyday they will search one cellar. At least how many days are enough to find the bum?

3 vases would be sold one by one in an auction, each of them is worth of 2 million dollars, but 2 of them together will be worth of 8M, if someone have got 3 of them, they would be worth of 18M. 5 line segments

Separate the 12 mice into 3 groups evenly, ask them to eat A, B and C simultaneously. Stop all mice once there is a cake finished.
A1. A being eaten by 1, 2, 3 and 4 is finished firstly when B and C are not. Ask 1 and 2 to eat the rest of B, 3 and 4 to eat the rest of C. Suppose B is finished firstly, then ask 1 and 2 to eat D and E simultaneously and the one finishes firstly is the quick one.
A2. A and B are finished simultaneously when C being eaten by 1,2,3 and 4 is not yet. Ask 1, 2, 3 and 5 to eat D, 6,7,8 and 9 to eat E. If D and E are finished simultaneously, 4 is the slow one. I can not connect to my home Wi-fi. I put the wrong passcode in severall times and now it says that I am not able to use my home internet. How do I get back to the place where I can put in the correct passcode and connect. Not sure what to do and really don't want to take my phone back to sprint.

I installed beta 4 last night. Now, every time I open Firefox it asks me if I want to make Firefox my default browser. I click yes, and it goes to Firefox 3.6.15 and thanks me for upgrading. I have been running 3.6.15 since it was released. I have to reload beta 4 to get back to it again.
I got this all screwed up too.
hmm.. where to start?
3.6 and 4.0 beta - really aren't intended to play well together.
As has been mentioned above, they tend to write over each other.
I managed to get both 3.6.15 and 4.0 beta 12 on the same machine.
But, I had to do it several times.
I got lucky by deleting everything Mozilla, then installing 4.0b12, then 3.6.15 - while making sure that each installed into a separate folder.
I also took care to copy out a couple of BookMark BackUp files - just in case.
My old 3.6# had become so bloated - and, Unstable - for Me, it was time.
The bookmarks were all that I was still interested in.
All the Plugins, Themes, AddOns, etc... had slowed the app to a crawl.
So, I did as complete a wipe of Mozilla bloat code that I could, including profiles.
I then did some registry cleaning.
Then I installed 4.0b12 and 3.6.15.
I can't open them both at the same time.
If I open 3.6.15 first, then open 4.0b12 - the beta comes up as 3.6.15.
If I open 4.0b12 first, then open 3.6.15 - the 3.6 comes up as the beta.
This has a lot to do with both apps sharing the same default profile.
I hope to drop down to one app in the near future.
So, cobbling multiple profiles in order to diddle side by side apps - isn't worth it at this stage.
For me, I can't open FF 4.0b12 when my virus protection is running. PCTools doesn't like some thing about the way FF4.0 wants to phone home when it opens.
So, I can't commit to the 4.0b12, yet.
3.6.15 was crashing on open too - until I uninstalled the feedback addon. - go figure -.
Also, I can't get the 4.0b12 to start in safe-mode with the PCTools antivirus running.
At the rater they are going, I don't see 3.6.# going away any time soon. -
I've noticed the problem yesterday and it has happened few times today again.
The "Use custom settings for history" selection allows to see the current history and cookie settings, but selecting this doesn't make any changes to history and cookie settings.
Firefox shows "Use custom settings for history" as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made.
If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History".
"Never Remember History" means that Private Browsing is active and "Always use private browsing mode" gets a checkmark.
You need to remove the checkmark on "Always use private browsing mode" to leave Private Browsing mode or chose the "Remember History" setting.
