Miscellaneous Warnings
WARNING: --> Database is using a timezone file older than version 14.
.... After the release migration, it is recommended that DBMS_DST package
.... be used to upgrade the 10.2.0.4.0 database timezone version
.... to the latest version which comes with the new release.
WARNING: --> Database contains INVALID objects prior to upgrade.
.... The list of invalid SYS/SYSTEM objects was written to
.... registry$sys_inv_objs.
.... The list of non-SYS/SYSTEM objects was written to
.... registry$nonsys_inv_objs.
.... Use utluiobj.sql after the upgrade to identify any new invalid
.... objects due to the upgrade.
.... USER PUBLIC has 1 INVALID objects.
WARNING: --> EM Database Control Repository exists in the database.
.... Direct downgrade of EM Database Control is not supported. Refer to the
.... Upgrade Guide for instructions to save the EM data prior to upgrade.
WARNING: --> Your recycle bin is turned on and currently contains no objects.
.... Because it is REQUIRED that the recycle bin be empty prior to upgrading
.... and your recycle bin is turned on, you may need to execute the command:
        PURGE DBA_RECYCLEBIN
.... prior to executing your upgrade to confirm the recycle bin is empty.
WARNING: --> JOB_QUEUE_PROCESS value must be updated
.... Your current setting of "10" is too low.
.... Starting with Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2), setting
.... JOB_QUEUE_PROCESSES to 0 causes both DBMS_SCHEDULER and
.... DBMS_JOB jobs to not run. Previously, setting JOB_QUEUE_PROCESSES
.... to 0 caused DBMS_JOB jobs to not run, but DBMS_SCHEDULER jobs were
.... unaffected and would still run. This parameter must be updated to
.... a value greater than 48  (default value is 1000) prior to upgrade.
.... Not doing so will affect the running of utlrp.sql after the upgrade
Recommendations
Oracle recommends gathering dictionary statistics prior to
upgrading the database.
To gather dictionary statistics execute the following command
while connected as SYSDBA:
    EXECUTE dbms_stats.gather_dictionary_stats;
Oracle recommends reviewing any defined events prior to upgrading.
To view existing non-default events execute the following commands
while connected AS SYSDBA:
  Events:
    SELECT (translate(value,chr(13)||chr(10),' ')) FROM sys.v$parameter2
      WHERE  UPPER(name) ='EVENT' AND  isdefault='FALSE'
  Trace Events:
    SELECT (translate(value,chr(13)||chr(10),' ')) from sys.v$parameter2
      WHERE UPPER(name) = '_TRACE_EVENTS' AND isdefault='FALSE'
Changes will need to be made in the init.ora or spfile.

  • Upgrading Oracle Text - Post upgrade step 10.2 to 11.2

    I already upgraded my 10.2.0.4 database to 11.2.0.1 and have to do post upgrade steps. In step 39 of Manual guideline (837570.1) is not clear for me. If some one can explain further would be appriciated. When i check my source ORACLE_HOME/ctx/admin/ctxf102.txt or ctxf102.sql
    Step 39
    Upgrading Oracle Text
    Copy the following files from the previous Oracle home to the new Oracle home:
    * Stemming user-dictionary files
    * User-modified KOREAN_MORPH_LEXER dictionary files
    * USER_FILTER executables
    To obtain a list of the above files, use:
    $ORACLE_HOME/ctx/admin/ctxf<version>.txt
    $ORACLE_HOME/ctx/admin/ctxf<version>.sql
    where version is 920,101,102
    For instance, if upgrading from 10.2.0
    *1. For dictionary files check*
    *$ORACLE_HOME/ctx/admin/ctxf102.txt*
    *2. Execute the script as database user SYS,SYSTEM, or CTXSYS*
    *$ORACLE_HOME/ctx/admin/ctxf102.sql*
    If your Oracle Text index uses KOREAN_LEXER which was deprecated in Oracle 9i and desupported in Oracle 10g Release 2, see below Note for further information on manual migration from KOREAN_LEXER to KOREAN_MORPH_LEXER.
    Note 300172.1 Obsolescence of KOREAN_LEXER Lexer Type

    Hi Srini
    Thank you very much. now i got it.
    Oracle asked me to identify the CTXCAT indexes with KOREAN_LEXER execute the following query as user CTXSYS: if nothing return then i can skip this step.
    SELECT idx_name
    FROM ctxsys.ctx_indexes
    WHERE idx_type = 'CTXCAT'
    AND idx_name IN
    (SELECT ixo_index_name
    FROM ctxsys.ctx_index_objects
    WHERE ixo_class = 'LEXER'
    AND ixo_object = 'KOREAN_MORPH_LEXER ');
    SELECT isl_index_owner,isl_index_name,isl_language
    FROM CTXSYS.ctx_index_sub_lexers
    WHERE isl_object = 'KOREAN_MORPH_LEXER';

    From the trace files, we see that the issue is with the seeded view, mrp_item_sourcing_levels_v.
    Need pointers for fixing the performance.

    The ETRM says this about the view:
    ***** Warning: Oracle Internal Use Only *****
    Oracle Corporation does not support access to Oracle
    applications data using this object, except from standard Oracle Applications programs.
    which is a powerful suggestion that you should not be addressing this view directly. Looking at the source code for the view, it has a bunch of UNIONs that may prevent view merging, and all the queries have loads of hints coded within them. So really, there is little you can do about this.
    It looks pretty simple to re-write your query to avoid addressing this view, you are using it only to retrieve a couple of columns. If you look at the source code for the view you'll see that you can get them easily without going through the view.

  • Error in Infopath document merger, post upgrading to sharepoint 2013

    Hi all,
    Post upgradation of sharepoint portal to 2013, infopath document merger is not working for a portal.
    Assuming the error or compatibility issue with earlier infopath template 2007, created the new template; still error persists.
    Attaching herewith the error for reference.
    Looking for the resolution of it, in case somebody had faced this & cracked it.
    regards,
    Sandip

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you failed to merge documents in a SharePoint Library.
    To merge forms in a SharePoint Library, we need programmatically effort. Please check whether you Create Custom Merge correctly, refer to the following reference
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/ee526363(v=office.14).aspx
    Regarding InfoPath product, I suggest you also open a thread at
    http://www.infopathdev.com/
    I believe at that forum, more people in expertise in InfoPath may help you regarding this.
    Refer to Merge multiple InfoPath forms:

  • Infoset query giving error post upgrade

    Hi All,
    We have upgraded our system from BW 3.5 to BI 7. Post upgrade we are getting error while opening/executing queries on infoset.

    The SP details are as below,
    SAP_BW     700     0015     SAPKW70015     SAP NetWeaver BI 7.0
    We were facing this issue in development system. We didn't faced this issue in sandbox which was a copy of production. We are in process of upgrading now quality.
    Points assigned to Wond.

  • Change Log issues - Post Upgrade

    Hi Experts,
    We are in the process of Upgrading BW from 3.X to BI 7. As part of this we copied our existing Production system into the sand box and basis did the technical upgrade on the same (Sand Box). Later we ran some post upgrade Jobs as part of the SAP defined Upgrade Process.
    1) But after the upgrade i can notice that most of the ODS objects, doesn't have 'Change Log' table in the 'Information (Log/Status)' screen.
    2) Even when i try to view the change log content in Manage screen, it gives me a pop up to enter the change log table, instead of directly taking me to the selection screen.
    3) When i try to activate a request, even that fails with an SQL error 'SAPSQL_EMPTY_TABNAME'.
    Is there any process that has to be run to link the Older version change log tables to the corresponding ODSs after Upgrade?
    Has anyone come accross similar issues? If yes, how was it solved? All suggestions are invited.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Jay

    HI JayaPrasad,
    Chek the note : 1059171 which is related to Change log,
    I too faced this issue when upgraded to Bi7.0 on SP12, but as soon as SP13 is installed the issue is solved, so I suggest to go for SP 13 for upgrading to Bi7.0.

  • EBS Upgrade Error

    I received an error during an EBS database upgrade from 9.2.0.5 to 10.2 using DBUA. The error was due to my UNDO tablespace size being too small. According to the Database Upgrade Guide, if you receive this error during upgrading your should:
    1. increase the size of the undo tablespace
    2. "shutdown abort" the database
    3. "startup upgrade" the database
    4. restart the dbua
    When restarting the DBUA I received the error message: ORA-903 Invalid Identifier PVR_VERSION.
    So, instead I simply logged into sqlplus as sysdba and started the catupgrd.sql script. Will this work? Will I be able to continue my upgrade using the manual procedures even though I started it using dbua?

  • Required Post Upgrade Jobs: Missing jobs and failures

    Folks,
    In reviewing "Required Post Upgrade Jobs", I found that "Compile Non-Compiled Flexfields" failed. The job was submitted by APPSMGR and immediately started since the Request Process queues were not initially deactivated as reccomended in doc 399362.1. I'm afraid I don't know the password for APPSMGR. Is there a way for me to restart this job so that any successors release?
    Only a handful of the required jobs show to have been submitted and run. Would required jobs that have not run and do not appear in the queue need to be manually submitted?
    Thanks for any help.
