[Solved] Bug tracker registration email

I just tried to register with the bugtracker, but never got that verification email that the app wrote was sent.
I am  sure the address is correct and have also received other email notices today from the forum.
Can that be a bug in the bug tracker?

    Unfortunately the problem persists on OC4J904, so the alternative for you is to use OC4J902, you can setup a new container on a different port (other than used for 902) and register the provider using the direct URL of the OC4J902 container. This should solve the problem.

  • Password for a new bug tracker user

    I installed bug tracker and it works fine. When I created a user I didn't find where to provide/change password. When I got login screen and type new user name, I don't know what is the password. How to set password for the new user in bug tracker?

    It means that you can copy and paste an encrypted password from configuration file. Of course, passwords are encrypted if password-encryption service is enabled. Otherwise passwords are stored in plaintext in configuration files.

    ie. 1. i need the count of mails sent(which is easy)
    2. Count of undelivered mails?
    3. Whether the email is opened or not?'
    To track whether the emails is read or not....i have read at many sites regarding placing a 1 pixel image in the body of the mail.But i din get any solution ...Please help me if anybody has a solution.

    Normally that it what we expect from the system point of view
    i don't think there should be a program or other functionality to check whether you have entered a correct mail id or not.

    i am using SOST to track the emails which are not delivered
    but
    SOST is not tracking all the un-delivered emails
    It is tracking only those mails as error whose mail IDS are not  registered in SCOT
    when i regester some un-existing mail ID in scot and send a mail to that via sap
    SOST is showing its status as sent/transmitted/delivered
    My requirement is to track akk the undelivered mails that are sent via SAP
    Please advice

    AFAIK, there is no option to delete a user, even for the admins. The best you can do it set the password for the user you don't want to some long, random string and then forget about it.

    Almost 3 months ago I opened two ticket in Mojarra bug tracker.

    The first one is really important, it limits "redirect after post" pattern usage. I would use flash scope to keep operation status message across second GET request after initial POST request. But the flash scope is broken in RI :-( The issue was discussed on this forum also: http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5445714.
    I'm wondering why the opened issue have been ignored for 3 months. The issue status is still unconfirmed, but all information required to reproduce the error was provided. I'm really worried about JSF future if the development team ignore the community.

  • Project Management/Bug Tracking tools...

    We are growing from a single person team to a team of 5-6 people and it’s getting harder to keep the project straight, so I want to look at project management tools…
    Specifically I want to have a bug/new features tracker, the ability to develop test cases for the bug/new feature (plus regression tests) the ability to interface with CM software (Subversion) and of course scheduling…
    There are high end commercial products out there (Microsoft has MS Project and it’s Sharepoint product has bug tracking capability) and some open source (Jira and SpiraTeam for example) but does Oracle have anything to do this (especially one that able to work within the JDeveloper/SOA environment?)
    Any suggestions are appreciated..

    It integrates 3rd party tools such as Bugzilla, JIRA, Microsoft Project Server & Rally Software into the JDeveloper IDE - letting you assign tasks, keep track of related files and integrate with Subversion, CVS etc...

    You can always post any problems you have here and we can try and help.
    Also, you would never have to lose your warranty, you can reach out to our Regional Support Office and they can revert the software back (by you visiting an office, or mailing the phone in).

  • Where are image files (Bug Tracker Application)

    I downloaded the Bug Tracker packaged application and in one of the list (Administration Tab), the list is presented with images. For example User Profiles item show the Image attribute as menu/user_red_32.gif
    I want to know where this image is actually uploaded? I cannot see this particular image in the Shared Components/Images
    What is "menu" in menu/user_red_32.gif

    menu is a folder in your images directory. That's where we store many of the artwork we ship with Application Express. It's a physical folder on your harddisk if you're using Apache or it's a folder in XDB when using 11g.

    Can someone tell me how / whether you can track which emails have been read when you send an email campaign? 
    I understand how the /## can be used to track click throughs on links placed in the email but how can you track whether someone reads something and doesn't click through.

    I have the same problem that I have to track the open rate of a mail and not the open rate of a link.
    It's known as described in the wikipedia article to achieve this with a transparent picture which you have to implement in the mailform.
    I'm able to track the open rate for static mails but not for generated mail campaigns. The dynamically creation of the mig and urlguid doesn't work for pictures.
    Instead of adding a link for tracking I'm adding a picture for tracking
    But the MIG and URLGUID isn't created for them if I start the campaign.
    Therefore I added the MIG and URLGUID manually.
    The result is that now I can see in the marketing contact summary who downloaded the picture and reverse that means that he has opened the mail.
    The problem is: How can I create the tracking Id's dynamically for campaigns?

    I don't really understand why anybody could not access to the Jdev bug tracking? An important part of them are detected by anonymous users who have no agreement. Moreover, Jdev is a free tool until developed app is put in production, and bugs are mainly detected during development phase.

    yes JDeveloper is a free product, but customer support services isn't - its a service that you will have to pay for.
    Usually, If there is a bug report posted on this forum we do our best to track this down (and I am spending quite some time with this) and log it if it reproduces. However, the differentiation to customer support service comes when it doesn't reproduce immediately which requires in depth analysis of the problem or complex set-up. This is beyond of what we can handle on OTN.
    We discussed the option of a public application to report issues and track them. However, i am not sure what the current state of thsi project is.
    As a remark from my side, from 10 questions I ask users who report bugs on OTN to send me a testcase based on teh HR schema, I usually get 3 replies. So even a public bug application is a give and take. Not sure if this was your intention.

    Either way you look at it, you will have a slight learning
    curve to any software that you chose. You will need to do some
    configuration for the setup and spend a little time reading up on
    it. I do not know from my experience any software that you can just
    install and be "good to go" as bug tracking software that I have
    seen whether it be OS such as Bugzilla (

    or COTS such as IBM ClearQuest.

    Note you will need to install supporting software such as for
    Bugzilla, you will need to install Tomcat and MySQL. The nice thing

    we are entering testing phase of a large project with a geographically distributed team. We have been using Beehive Online for sharing documents successfully. However, for this new phase, we should be using bugzilla for bug tracking.
    I would appreciate new ideas on alternatives using Beehive Online or other Oracle tools.
    Please note that at least 70 people will be involved - sharing a spreadsheet in Beehive is not an option :-)

    The only option I can think of is to use the Wiki structure to allow everyone to edit the information online - the wiki pages are automatically versioned so changes can be tracked.
    The spreadsheet could be used if you set the folder to have manual versioning and use the check-out/check-in functionality - it is a bit more process but could work.
    Personally I would use the Wiki as it is less process-centric.
