[Solved] Can't add boot entry with efibootmg

After the last gnome update broke my system I decided to reinstall grub (It's a long story).
I'm booting from a live usb and after chrooting to my system I issue the efibootmgr command to add
new bios entry, but no entry is being added. I've loaded the efivars module and the efibootmgr command is
Executed without errors.
Its already the second day I'm trying to solve this issue, so any help will be greatly appreciated.

But it sounds like you did not actually solve the original problem... no?
So you say that you booted from a live media, and then tried to run an efibootmgr command from there. Are you sure that you are booting the live media via UEFI? If you do not boot with UEFI, you are not able to write boot manager entries. It is kind of a chicken -> egg thing.
But if you use the \EFI\boot\bootx64.efi method to get your systemd running, you should now be able to successfully use efibootmgr. To test to make sure that efibootmgr is working, see if running just "efibootmgr" (as root obviously) outputs all of your boot manager entries.
Also, if you are using an Arch live media that is at all recent, modprobing efivars is not necessary, as it is now built into the kernel.

I found that the Thunderbolt input accepts the mini-DVI (in my case converter to VGA for a tutorial use monitor)
BUT, you have to really oush it in 'til it clicks. I thought it too loose until I tried it. works just fine!!

First Script: Need some basic skill help? Can you add an image with a click?

Hello, Im working on a project were you can replace people heads in a photo. Its for a project so its not supposed to be perfect. So far heres what i think the best steps to take are, but im not sure how to take the first scripting steps. How can i add an image with a script? How can i store a x y coordinates?
1. I would create four variables and than store the XY cords of the the high point of the head, the bottom of the chin, amd the farthest right and left of the face.
2. I would than add the image of the head that I would already have.
3. If the x coordinates of the top and bottom are off kilter, I would rotate new head until = old face dimensions..
4. I would also see if the width is too big or small and resize accordingly
5. I would than resize the head so that the eyes would match up.

Is that script for a browser html. Its not for Photoshop and like Photoshop would fine UiApp undefined so does Microsoft. Is that a Chrome script or Android script? Why post it here?

Can I add journal entries that are tagged to calender events?

I want to be able to add journal entries to certaon calender events as notes so that I can reference these at a later date. I ee ICal can;t do it, is there another app that automatically integrates with ICal that will do this. What about Evernote or Things?

You can add predefined fields using the "Card" menu and "Add Field" Submenu.
You can also change labels for multi-values properties by clicking the current label and choose "Customize"
But I don't think you can add custom fields using AddressBook.
Perhaps you should consider using other software like RubenSoft's Pack Organizer or ">Objective Decision's Contactizer

Dear Expert,
This is very strange and gives me a real headache because it's supposed to be very simple. I have feature ABKRS that queries TCLAS, MOLGA, PERSG, and finally BUKRS. I need to add more entries in BUKRS field but I can't. The value of BUKRS that I choose is not displayed on the list and I've tried several times since yesterday with no result. Is this a bug or what ?

Can I dual boot Mac with Windows?

Hi all,
At the moment I have Windows 7 32 bit OS. I've always wanted either an iMac, or atleast the Mac OS. I've recently found out it's only £20.99, and i've always thought it was a lot more than that, which is a bargain! The only thing which is stopping me from buying it at the moment, is that certain programs which I use reguarlarly won't work on Mac, and I really need those programs. Is their anyway I could dual-boot it with Windows 7, so I give Windows 7 say only 8gb of my hard drive, and Mac the rest?
I will appreciate any answers, and thanks for tackling this for me!

Yes Macs changed to Intel Processors in about 2007. You can upgrade as far as Lion with a Core2Duel Processor or better. CoreDuos will only update as far as Snow Leopard.

Why i can't add a library with remote?

Hi everybody, i recently try to add a library to the remote app on mi ipod and it get stuck in the final step. For add a the library i opened the remote app and selected "add a library", the code apeared in the screen and i serch the remote in itunes, i click there and i add the code and itunes said to me "your ipod now can control this itunes library" and in my ipod the screen show all the libraries i already had and the new one with out text (it apeard the icon and no name of the library).
i already try deleting all the libraries but now i can't add any of the libraries i had and it does the same thing for every one (it shows in itunes that my ipod can control the library but in my ipod shows the itunes icon with no text. heres there is a screen shot of my ipod showing thw problem. i hope you can help me and sorry for my english.

In the proxy service, when I try to call business service, the business service may timeout, how can I add logic with this? Like, I can set the timeout to 20 seconds, if more than 20 seconds, then do something else. But I just want this service can set to 20 seconds, others may different. Is that possible? Thanks.

There is a Read Timeout and Connection Timeout setting in the Business service configuration.
You can change the default values and test.Inside the error handler you can choose to do something else after you 20 seconds.
Test and let us know if it works.

Can you dual boot Lion Os with and Older version of Mac Os (Snow Leopard?) So one can rum Power PC apps until they are upgraded?

You can dual boot if your machine originally came with an older OS version. No Mac can boot from an older version than the one it came with - notable exceptions are if the machine was built right around the time of the new OS release; in that case, it would depend on the machine and OS builds - it may or may not be possible.
So the important question here is: did yours come with Lion preinstalled? The answer is most likely: No. Or Snow Leopard? The answer would be: Yes.

Can't add to lists with workflows

Our security person turned windows firewall on this week. Now users can't add to any list that has a workflow attached. The only thing I can find in logs is "This event is generated when a logon session
is destroyed. It may be positively correlated with a logon event using the Logon ID value. Logon IDs are only unique between reboots on the same computer." (event 4634)
My boss won't let me turn the firewall back off unless I can prove that this is the issue. Am I right?
