[Solved] Cannot compile, data dump error (Perl)

I'm not a developer, so this may be something simple. I'm trying to get a package to compile and I get this error:
autoreconf: Entering directory `.'
autoreconf: configure.in: not using Gettext
autoreconf: running: aclocal --force
Perl API version v5.14.0 of Data::Dumper does not match v5.16.0 at /usr/share/perl5/core_perl/XSLoader.pm line 92.

aclocal: error: /usr/bin/autom4te failed with exit status: 255

Aborting...
I tried uninstalling and re-installing Perl as I imagine this was caused by upgrading pacman.
Any ideas?
**UPDATE**
Removed the Data Dumper module, works fine now. I don't remember installing it in the first place, oh well

ravicious wrote:How did you manage to remove the data dumper module? Also you've got it installed, because the perl package includes it.
I also had one in AUR installed for some reason (this is the one I removed):

    Hi Anuj,
    Thanks for your reply!
    I found that the data source is registered on server soa_server1 as follows:
    Binding Name: jdbc.soademoDatabase
    Class: weblogic.jdbc.common.internal.RmiDataSource_1033_WLStub
    Hash Code: 80328036
    toString Results: ClusterableRemoteRef(8348400613458600489S:10.2.1.143:[8001,8001,-1,-1,-1,-1,-1]:base_domain:soa_server1 [8348400613458600489S:10.2.1.143:[8001,8001,-1,-1,-1,-1,-1]:base_domain:soa_server1/291])/291
    Binding Name: jdbc.SOADataSource
    Class: weblogic.jdbc.common.internal.RmiDataSource_1033_WLStub

    I don't know how to determine which server the DBAdapter is targetted to.
    But I found the following information:
    Under Deoloyment->DBAdapter->Monitoring->Outbound Connection Pools
    Outbound Connection Pool Server State Current Connections Created Connections
    eis/DB/SOADemo AdminServer Running 1 1
    eis/DB/SOADemo soa_server1 Running 1 1
    eis/DB/soademoDatabase AdminServer Running 1 1
    eis/DB/soademoDatabase soa_server1 Running 1 1
    The DbAdapter is related to the following files:
    C:\ Oracle\ Middleware\ home_11gR1\ Oracle_SOA1\ soa\ connectors\ DbAdapter. rar
    C:\ Oracle\ Middleware\ home_11gR1\ Oracle_SOA1\ soa\ DBPlan\ Plan. xml
    I unzipped DbAdapter.rar, opened weblogic-ra.xml and found that there's only one data source is registered:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>

    </outbound-resource-adapter>
    </weblogic-connector>
    Then I decided to use eis/DB/SOADemo for testing.
    For JDeveloper project, after I deployed to weblogic server, it works fine.
    But for OSB project referencing wsdl, jca and mapping file from JDeveloper project, still got the same error as follows:

    You may need to configure the connection settings in the deployment descriptor (i.e. DbAdapter.rar#META-INF/weblogic-ra.xml) and restart the server. This exception is considered not retriable, likely due to a modelling mistake.
    It almost drive me crazy!!:-(
    What's the purpose of 'weblogic-ra.xml' under the folder of 'C:\Oracle\Middleware\home_11gR1\Oracle_OSB1\lib\external\adapters\META-INF'?

  • [SOLVED] Cannot compile dvb drivers.

    Hi,
    I'm setting up a htpc media center based on arch with mythtv and xbmc. I've installed the base and base-devel packages and I need to compile the tbs-dvb-drivers to make my TBS 6280 DVB-T2 card work.

    I've waited up to 20 minutes, but the process seems stucked and the size of the folder doesn't grow up.
    It's true that I have just the kernel-headers installed. In addition make continues to warn me that the edit date of several files is newer than the actual. Initially the date of the system was wrong (but not older than the file's) but now I've fixed it with the correct date in UTC. The problem persists.
    I've also tried to compile from source directly but make enters into the same loop and gives me the same warnings.
    Thank you in advance for any kind of help.
    Regards.

    First make sure you have the core-devel package group installed. This is required to build AUR package in general.
    Next, check to see if you have kernel-headers and v4l-utils installed? If not install them both and try again. I'm not sure if they are hard dependancies or not.
    EDIT: Sorry, I see you wrote that you installed core-devel and kernel-headers already. It looks like you may have a time zone and hardware clock sync problem. If you just installed arch, make sure the timezone and locale are correct and havn't been altered since you first installed your system. If that's all good, then install the AUR package cleanly from scratch again.
    Do you have NTP running?

    I guess you're missing gnome-autogen.sh which is provided by gnome-common.
    # pacman -Qo gnome-autogen.sh
    /usr/bin/gnome-autogen.sh is owned by gnome-common 2.28.0-1

    I generate the makefile by running qmake-qt4 in the main directory. I already tried to downgrade Boost to version 1_54, but I don't have an older version and I think it should compile fine with a newer version without any problems. Anyone who has similar problems?
    When I run pacman -Ss boost-libs I get:
    extra/boost-libs 1.55.0-4 [installed]
    Free peer-reviewed portable C++ source libraries - Runtime
    Seems like nothing out of the ordinary.  I'm getting the exact same errors when compiling Foxcoin. I also tried to install Qt again, but that didn't help.
    Thanks for helping in advance.

    First I looked for one of the boost libraries that the program was looking for (e.g. the error for "cannot find -lboost_system-mgw46-mt-sd-1_53" means ld is looking for libboost_system-mgw46-mt-sd-1_53). I did it because the library name looked rather non-standard.
    locate boost_system
    After that I knew that the program you used was relying on a very particular boost library and that lead me to actually google for "boost_system-mgw46-mt-sd-1_53" to see what that would turn up and the second link is the one I posted in this forum.
    Anyway if you know something about Makefiles then you could have solved it by yourself rather easy as well.
    If you look in the Makefile you should find a line somewhere that has
    LIBS += -lboost_system-mgw46-mt-sd-1_53 -lboost_filesystem-mgw46-mt-sd-1_53 -lboost_program_options-mgw46-mt-sd-1_53 -lboost_thread-mgw46-mt-sd-1_53
    Essentially you can see from the output of "make that" it's looking for those files (look towards the end of the second "g++ -Wl,-O1 ..." line)
    g++ -Wl,-O1,--sort-common ....... -Lc:/deps/ssl -lssl -lcrypto -ldb_cxx -lboost_system-mgw46-mt-sd-1_53 -lboost_filesystem-mgw46-mt-sd-1_53 -lboost_program_options-mgw46-mt-sd-1_53 -lboost_thread-mgw46-mt-sd-1_53 -lpthread -lQtGui -lQtCore
    My first idea was immediately to have it link against the standard boost libraries by making the proposed changes, but I wanted to first check it on google. I can't tell you if it will make the software run correctly though.
    Hmm, I know some C++ basics but I use an IDE most of the time. Making makefiles was never needed so I never bothered with them. Thanks for elaborating! The solution you found worked.

  • [SOLVED] cross compiling libopenfst makepkg error

    Hello there,
    I am trying to cross compile openfst on my 64 bit arch setup since it is taking too long on my raspberry pi (which also happily runs arch). I thought I would be ok with the following makepkg to get me a binary package which I could transfer to my pi and then install with pacman-U:
    # Maintainer: Christoph Drexler <chrdr at gmx dot at>
    pkgname=openfst
    pkgver=1.4.1
    pkgrel=1
    pkgdesc="Library for constructing, combining, optimizing, and searching weighted finite-state transducers (FSTs)"
    arch=('i686' 'x86_64' 'armv6h')
    url="http://www.openfst.org/"
    license=('APACHE')
    depends=('gcc-libs' 'glibc')
    options=(!libtool)
    source=("http://openfst.cs.nyu.edu/twiki/pub/FST/FstDownload/${pkgname}-${pkgver}.tar.gz")
    md5sums=('ca8f1730b9b9b281e515611fa9ae23c0')
    build() {
    cd ${srcdir}/${pkgname}-${pkgver}
    #export CXX=arm-linux-gnueabi-g++
    #export CC=arm-linux-gnueabi-gcc
    # Options according to http://openfst.cs.nyu.edu/twiki/bin/view/FST/ReadMe

    LIBS="-ldl" ./configure $OPTIONS
    make
    package() {
    cd ${srcdir}/${pkgname}-${pkgver}
    make DESTDIR=${pkgdir} install
    (basically adding the host and build option)
    However, I get an error in the output:

    the error being that the C++ compiler cannot create excecutables makes sense since they are not meant to be excecuted on x86_64 but for armv6h (cross compilation). I have checked with arm-linux-gnueabi-g++ and its excecutables I can run on my pi so this should be ok. I am guessing that I am either missing an option to disable the compiler check, or I should change the configure script and remove this check, but I cannot figure out how to do either...
    //edit: I'm not sure this topic is in the right place btw, maybe it should be in scripting...

    that seems to do the trick, I'm not gonna test it since my pi just finished compiling it locally (which took 12+hours or so), but the compile seems to work since they are not excecutable on 64 bit, so pkgbuild for raspi cross compilation using makepkg -s:

    Do you (or someone else) have a pkgbuild that you would like to share? I'm in need of the ecj compiler, but didn't find a pkgbuild in aur (unlessed I missed it somehow)
    Kind regards,

    Any ideas on what I might need?
    Thanks!

    You're going to need a bunch of 32 bit libraries to run 32 bit Wine. Either a chroot or lib32 libraries will work.
    I don't know much about cross compilers, so I can't help with your other question. What distro were you running when you did this before?

    1) Did you read the front page news about the Java update(s).
    2) Did you install Java from an Arch Repo or install it "manually" by downloading it from Oracle, etc.?
    3) What package owns those files? (pacman -Qo /usr/bin/java, for example)

  • Cannot Change Data Source - Error The memory could not be "read"

    We have some reports that were created under Crystal Reports version 10 using a Sybase 12.5 database as the datasource.  We have since upgraded to Sybase 15 ASE and we are also attempting to upgrade these reports to Crystal Reports version 11.5.  The reports will convert to version 11.5 but will not work because of the following error:
    "Failed to load database information. Details: The database connector 'crdb_p2ssyb10.dll' could not be loaded"
    From previous experience we know that Sybase 15 is only supported via ODBC with Crystal Report 11.5, so we tried to change the datasource to ODBC, but when we do that we get the following error:
    The instruction at "0x0e864b11" referenced memory at "0x00000004". The memory could not be "read".
    Do we have any options at this point besides competely re-creating the reports?

    We are using CR 11.5 and trying to change the data source to ODBC.  I can create a new report and use the same stored procedures as a datasource via ODBC with no issues.  I only have an issue when trying to change the data source on these existing reports.

  • [SOLVED] Cannot Compile Pacman 3.5.3

    I'm sure libtool is installed. I had a working copy of pacman but a bad "make install" destroyed that too. Any help?

    And where's the error? Other than the completely wrong paths being set for ./configure, there is none. That's a successful make.
    newdave wrote:P.S. I must add that currently pacman is broken on my system so " makepkg -s " does not work (error: no usable package repositories configured.)
    P.P.S note the word configure. this is user error as you've not uncommented any mirrors from /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist. I strongly suggest you do one of two things:
    1) If you're insistent on compiling pacman by hand, use the configure flags from the package in ABS.
    2) Backup your pacman.conf/makepkg.conf, download a pacman package, and extract it to root, and then restore your config files. After fixing your mirrorlist, reinstall pacman with pacman, using pacman -Sf pacman
    I identified some error keywords in the make output and thought the make had failed. but apparently I was wrong. As you said the make was succesful( sorry for noobish mistake). As to the pacman breakage, the problem was with two duplicate copies of  pacman in /usr/bin/pacman and  /usr/local/bin/pacman ! just removed /usr/local/bin/pacman and pacman got fixed...
    Anyway, Thank you all for your help.

  • Cannot compile java classes error

    After mimicing the 'Add the databse exception handling to the FulfillOrder process' in my prototype when I attempt to compile it I get the error 'Error: Failed to compile classes.
    Failed to compile the generated BPEL classes for "providerEnrollmentMain".
    What I am supposed to do with this error?

    The prototype is Medicaid provider enrollment. A doctor who wants to serve Medicaid patients must be enrolled with the state to receive payment for services. The prototype is a self-service enrollment. It is already fairly sophisticated with 6 services being called by the main flow. I recently added a DB write activity and then proceeded with the DB exception handling example from the OrderBooking tutorial. The error occurred then.

  • [Solved]Mutt compile and flag error

    I had a working setup and decided to patch it with the sidebar patch. The compilation screwed up the flags for some reason and when launching mutt I get this error:
    Error in /home/hiro/.mutt/muttrc, line 7: imap_user: unknown variable
    Error in /home/hiro/.mutt/muttrc, line 8: imap_pass: unknown variable

    Error in /home/hiro/.mutt/muttrc, line 72: ssl_starttls: unknown variable
    source: errors in /home/hiro/.mutt/muttrc
    Press any key to continue...
    I reinstalled mutt being unable to determine the problem. The problem persists.
    The article here describes the same issue and identifies it as the install failing to activate the compile options. The solution presented is to change the flag options before compiling but this person is on Gentoo and I don't see why $ pacman -S mutt won't suffice.
    As expected $ mutt -v reads:

    patch-1.5.21.sidebar.20130219.txt
    So options like IMAP aren't activated for some reason even after pulling the mutt package from the official repositories. The sidebar patch is listed above so that is fishy. I don't know how to unpatch and I am thinking that may be the next step to try if I can figure that out.
    I also have a full system backup so another route may be to replace the necessary directories and files with the backups. Any ideas? I appreciate the support.

    The patch from the AUR did not yield any result so I followed the wiki entry on mutt to the patch provided on Lunar Linux. I had removed the directory with the patched compilation before discovering this error. Like the previous patch from the AUR I could not get it to work so I went about reinstalling mutt and ran into this problem.
    Perhaps I should just hack it by ingnoring the patch and having a custom command point to the vanilla repository install. As of now $ mutt  still brings up the patch version of mutt but I can't find where it is and how to remove it.
    Much appreciated on the recommendation of uber-mutt. So in ,/configure case how does one normally go about removing such an install? I can not locate any mutt or patch name on my system by the name of sidebar.

    exactly the same error here with the same packages.
    i'm using kde 4.1 from official repos, too.
    the alpha2 compiled correctly, but beta1 didn't.
    think there is the same error with the official sources, but haven't tried yet since the beta1 packages use the same source.
