[SOLVED]change the12-hour clock instead of the 24-hour clock globally
I can't seem to figure out how change the default 24 hour format. How can i change this? I've searched everywhere in this forum and there is nothing that talks about this.

What clock ? hardware or in one of your panels?

When a user creating folders or files it will allow full access to all users who are in the same group.
How can I make the changes to be default instead of using chmod always?

Windows XP is connected to my Linux share. I want be able to create folders and have access within Linux and Windows with rwx rights for the group. For now files created from Windows getting default rights 755 (rwx,xr,xr).
windowstools:andy = is XP username/group
andy:andy = Arch Linux username/group
Windows XP is full updated (got problem once with connection to samba after update, got wait until next updates will come -.- , when new windows updates came XP could be connected to samba again, was a bug as I hoped).
I am starting/restarting samba with script like

I've just rented a movie, which claims its going to take 14 hours to download. Its still at it after 1 hour. To make matters worse, the 48 hours it gives you to watch it has already started and charged me an hour. There was a message to say I could start watching it now but it dosen't work. Please can you help?You'll have to wait till it downloads much further than. If your download says it will take 14 hours to download, you have a very slow connection. You would never be able to watch the movie until it downloads completly.

A lot of goofy things can happen if you have changed certain preferences, or upgraded with non-standard settings in place:
System Preferences > Languages & Texts > Formats ...
... set a plausible standard form, like US or UK or something familiar. Close the window and Save changes. Then set to your actual preferences. Close the window and Save changes again. Test. -

I'm sorry - I misunderstood you. You only want to see the first 12 hours of the day. Is that correct? If that is what you want to do, I don't think that's possible to remove 12 hours from the calendar view.

Cannot add/remove clocks in Notification Center's World Clock widget.
I was trying to reverse-engineer the somewhat cryptic white/black clock face in the new World Clock widget in Yosemite's Notification Center. (It turns out that is the clock face color is white when the time is in the range 06:00 to 18:00, and black when the time is 18:00 to 06:00.) While doing this, I added new time zones by adding new clocks. After adding the eigth clock, however, I lost the ability to add or remove clocks, so now I'm stuck at eight.
I looked around ~/Library/Preferences, but could only find com.apple.notificationcenterui.plist, which governs the placement of the widgets, not their actual configuration. Seems like a bug I'll have to live with for now.
Would love to hear about a way to patch this bug (configuration file somewhere), or work around it through other means.Oif. I just discovered that the ⓘ icon in the upper right is actually a configuration icon, and not an information icon. You need to hit that to enable the add/remove buttons for changing the selection of cities.

Quit iCal, go to System Preferences...>Language & Text>Formats>Region: and set/reset the appropriate region.
Log out/in or restart and iCal should display the a.m./p.m. format. -

What operating system?
In general you would go to the Printers (or Devices and Printers or Printers and Faxes) folder, right click on the 5600 and select Set as Default. Depending on your operating system you may need to do this as an administrative user.

When I create a New Folder (on the desktop or in Finder), the system uses the Generic Document Icon instead of the Generic Folder Icon. How can I change this back?
All of a sudden I noticed that most of the folders on my computer were no longer using the folder icon, but the generic document icon. I had to manually change back the icon being used by opening Get Info for each folder and copying and pasting the generic folder icon from some folders that remained unchanged. Now whenever I create a New Folder (right click -> "New Folder"), the icon that shows up is the generic document icon (white page with top right corner turned down). And I have to manually change it so it shows up as a folder in Finder or on my desktop. I don't know why or how this switch happened. All of the folders now on my computer look ok, but I need to change the default so when I create a New Folder it uses the correct icon.
I have also Forced Relaunch of my Finder and rebooted the system. I downloaded Candybar but am not sure what will fix anything, so I haven't proceeded.
Anyone know how I can do this? Thanks.Anyone?

While watching an iTunes movie from my Apple TV, why does my movie stop playing at the 1 hour mark? I'm assuming I have a setting causing this to happen, but I have no idea what setting needs to be changed. Can someone help me?
It's right at an hour (consistently), but the computer goes to sleep prior to that. It's as if iTunes goes to sleep. Also, it wasn't always this way. Originally, the movies played through without interruption. At some point, I guess a setting was changed, and now I only get an hour. Also. My energy settings are set to go to sleep at 10 minutes.

While installing a program (MediaCenter.exe) to handle audiobooks from the library, I erroneously associated the download site with Windows Media Player instead of the actual application (NetLibrary Media Center). How can I reverse/change this? Reinstalling the application does not clear the error, so I'm assuming the association is somewhere in Firefox.
Never mind -- I just found it under Tools/Options.../Applications, where I changed the incorrect association of "nlmcp" from Windows Media Player to the correct one, NetLibrary Media Center. Done!

I have Adobe Reader XI. All my files have a picture on the first page. I used to be able to see that picture but now I can only see the PDF logo. How can I change that so I can see the pictures instead of the logo?

How do I change the default program to open Pages docs to the old (4.3) version instead of the new one (5.0)? When I do what Apple said and go to a Pages file in finder and select "get info" then select "Pages 4.3" and "change all" it just defaults to the new one even though I'd selected the old one. Do I need to completely uninstall the new version of Pages or is there another work around because the new version of Pages comes dreadfully short of the features I need that are included in the old one?

Actually there is a workaround.
If you open the file in Pages 5, it can then be exported on Pages 0.9 format to another folder. I had to do this as the document was only in iCloud and couldn't be recoverd by Time Machine.

The change logs already were captured in DBTABLOG for table ZWPRFRUND (in transaction ZWPG).
The only report which is currently used to get the change logs is RSVTPROT
Now my requirement is,
we need to display the change logs in the form of ALV.
We should divert the changes to CDHDR table instead of DBTABLOG, then we can use the RSSCD100 to display change logs.
The Important items for the change LOG needed in case of changes to table in ZWPG are,DATE ,TIME,USER,FIRST NAME,FILED NAME,OLD VALUE,NEW VALUE
The above fields need to be displayed in the grid. In the above list FIELD NAME denotes any field of the table in the transaction in ZWPG

I would like to use the windows explorer open dialog box instead of the adobe open dialog box. How can I change that?
The top screenshot is the Windows Open dialog box. All File > Open... commands in all Windows programs bring it up. Try File > Open in Notepad for example.
It belongs to Windows not Adobe. You cannot change this because there is no such thing as an Adobe Open dialog box.
The bottom screenshot is Windows Explorer. It is Windows' OS File Browser, not an Open dialog. It is not called up by Photoshop or any Windows program.
You have to click on "My Computer" or a Folder icon to get to it. You can double-click a psd, jpeg or other image file in the Explorer window so that it opens in Photoshop.
There is Adobe Bridge and Minibridge Alt + Ctrl + O or File > Browse in Bridge
