[SOLVED] Cinnamon 2.0.6-2 crashes with pulseaudio-4.0.5

Hello
After yesterdays cinnamon update issue have been solved I've proceeded with full system update only to find Cinnamon crashing again, though error comes from different package this time.
After starting X with startx Cinnamon opens up, then pops message like "Cinnamon has crashed and is running in fallback mode, do you want to restart?" if I restart same thing happens if I don't environment hangs up.
I have concluded that culprit is libpulse-4.0.5 and/or pulseaudio-4.0.5 since one cant be installed without other there is no way telling witch it is - I've everything else up to date except for these 2 packages and everything is working.
here is jurnalctl -b

After a long time using straight Alsa I've been setting up Pulse because I want to send my laptop's audio to a networked device. So far I have audio output working (through my laptop) with everything except MPD.  MPD won't output audio with Pulse enabled; songs stay in "paused" mode.  I run MPD as my local user and have been trying to get this suggested systemd service to work, but it fails when I start it:

You're suggesting running mpd as its own user?  If I did that, and configured mpd to output to 127.0.0.1, etc, would Pulse then be able to redirect the audio to another networked machine (since that's my end goal here)?  I don't want to end up having to put the other machine's IP directly in mpd.conf, since I won't always be running that way (since it's a laptop - sometimes I'll take it on the road and use headphones).
Pulse can do that, yes, its very flexible that way. Doesn't matter where the audio comes from, really. Though as a disclaimer, I haven't tried it myself yet.
Why not just set two outputs for mpd and toggle between them since it has native support? Doesn't sound like you really need pulseaudio.

AMD Mobility Radeon HD 4550 (using catalyst legacy driver 13.1 with Xorg 1.12)

    I did a little test:
    - upgraded to xorg 1.14
    - switched from catalyst to xf86-video-ati drive
Most of the errors dissappeared (GOA still crashes).
But now i can only see message tray using keyboard shortcut (super + m). I read that I need to move my mouse fast to the botton edge of my screen - does not work - instead it show up randomly when i moved mouse near the bottom edge.
I don't want to use the open source drivers (slow and laggy with multi monitor setup I'm using). I hope gnome devs will fix this bugs soon.
    SOLUTION (to still use catalyst):
I found out that this is an Xorg 1.12 bug.
    Bug: http://lists.debian.org/debian-x/2012/12/msg00133.html
To solve this use patch from this bugreport to compile xorg 1.12
    I used this aur packages:
    1. https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/xf86 … evdev1.12/
    2. https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/xorg-server1.12/ - I have edited PKGBUILD to include patch from bug report above

  • Constant crashing with FF13 and newest Flash. Tried reinstall of previous version; nothing but trouble

A few weeks ago, everything worked very nicely on my desktop computer. Then I succumbed to the nagging and "upgraded" to FF13, as well as the new Flash and Real players. Immediately, FF started crashing. First, it would instantly crash with any tab that had Flash embedded.
OK, I disabled and then finally uninstalled Flash and Real, but that didn't solve the problem; it would still crash 3 or 4 times a day, and with as few as 30 tabs open (the previous version could easily run 100+ tabs). Apart from those 3 "updates", the only other thing I had done was to update my existing plug-ins and add-ons, but I even tried disabling all of my plug-ins and add-ons; FF still kept crashing!
Today, I got fed up and uninstalled FF13 (after using MozBackup), and d/loaded and installed the previous version of FF. Did that solve the problem? Nope. Now, I can't get Tab Mix Plus to work, nor can I find my hundreds of old saved Sessions with Session Manager.
I tried uninstalling Tab Mix Plus and then reinstalling it, but I just get an error message saying it couldn't be installed. In fact, this is the THIRD time I've had to type this post, since the first time, I mistakenly tried to open a new tab to search Tab Mix Plus in Google, but the f{ck1ng tab opened Google right over this page, wiping out my almost finished post, and the second time, I went to Tools-->Options-->Manage Add-Ons-->Tab Mix Plus-->Options, and it froze up FF, requiring restarting it! Indeed, it seems as if the entire Manage Add-Ons menu is now buggy and generally freezes up.
I am *this*far*away* from ditching FF entirely (after 7 years of being loyal to it) and trying Chrome. It really is infuriating how difficult it is to get this straightened out! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried creating a new Firefox profile and testing whether that will run without crashes? This is a non-destructive test that creates a new settings folder. It picks up plugins from the registry, but otherwise looks like a fresh install.
If you haven't used the Profile Manager before, this article describes how to start up into it and create a new profile: [[Use the Profile Manager to create and remove Firefox profiles]].
You can import your bookmarks by restoring a backup from your previous profile folder. For convenience of access, make a copy of your last bookmarks backup on the desktop. You can find that folder using Help > Troubleshooting Information > Show Folder; navigate up one level to view your last active profile, then into the bookmarkbackups folder. Copy the latest .json file to the desktop. Then in the dialog pictured in the article "[[Back up your bookmarks or move them to another computer]]", use Restore > Choose File to import that file into your new profile.
Can you get through a day without crashing?

  • Serial communication crashes with blue screen

    Hello,
I have been troubleshooting an application that consistently kept crashing/hanging after ~1 to 5 minutes. I am communicating with a syringe pump NE1000 from New Era (http://www.syringepump.com). If have finally isolated the problem to a VISA write function.
    Configuration:
    ·         DELL INSPIRON running Win7 64 Bit
    ·         LabVIEW 2011SP1
    USB to Serial RS-232 Adapter [ GUC232A ] http://www.iogear.com/product/GUC232A/
    ·         The driver for the GUC232A has just been updated to the latest version, but the same behavior was observed with the older driver dating back to 2009.
    ·         RS232 to “telephone cable” adapter:
    ·         Telephone cable to RS232 port on syringe pump
I was running the NI Desktop Execution Trace Kit while running the attached Test NE100X – Query Volume.vi. The log is attached, Trace Test NE100X - Query Volume vi (1_4_2013 _ 17_06_11_423180).ttd.
When I run the vi at a loop rate of 10ms, it hangs after 15889 events. (Occasionally, Win7 crashes with the Blue Screen of Death.) I did not find anything unusual in the trace report.
After the vi hangs, it becomes unresponsive. When I attempt to exit LabVIEW, I get the Resetting VI: … message, and LabVIEW is hanging and does not exit:
If I decrease the loop rate to 50 ms and 75 ms, the vi seems to be running longer, but still crashes after about 52000 events, or 25000 events, respectively. At a loop rate of 100ms, it is was running for 51 min and then I had another Blue Screen Windows crash.
What confuses me is that the system just hangs without giving me any timeout or error message. This makes the troubleshooting very difficult. A query rate of 10 Hz seems to be rather low. I wonder whether this is a hardware issue or some bug in the software. I appreciate your help in troubleshooting this issue. Thank you.

    Hi
I can see several potential problems with this code. It looks as though what you are trying to do is to send a "DIS" command to the syringe pump and are then trying to read the data that the syringe pump sends back in response to this command.
    1. How many bytes are you expecting to get back in response to the DIS command? You're attempting to read 1024 bytes. If you really are expecting 1024 bytes then you need to calculate how long that would take to arrive. If we assume that you're using a data word consisting of 8 data bits, 1 stop bit and no parity then the number of bytes you will receive per second = 19200 / (8 + 1) = 2133. Therefore 1024 bytes will take 1024/2133 seconds = 0.48 sec. Therefore there is no point having a loop rate of 10msec. 0.5 seconds would be better.
    2. You haven't included the vi that initialises the serial comms so I can't see what timeout value you've assigned. You need to check that it is greater than the time it's going to take for your data to arrive.
    3. If you're not expecting exactly 1024 bytes then you need a different strategy for reading back the data. Possible options are i) counting exactly how many bytes you actually do get and using that number in the byte count input, ii)reading data continuously in a small loop until a terminating character is seen. eg if a CRLF is returned at the end of the data, read continuously until you see this. I've attached a modified version of your vi that shows how to implement this last method.
    regards
    Mike

  • Firefox 7 consistantly crashes with flash content

This is quite frustrating. Ever since the release of FF6 the performance of Firefox with Flash related content literally sucks! The plugin container is ALWAYS crashing consistently.
It seems that in Mozilla race to compete with Google Chrome in their rapid releases has resulted in rapid blunders. If better testing was in place this crap would not be happening. Mozilla needs to slow their roll in all honesty of people that have been long time Firefox users are going to move to Google Chrome since it is not plagued with issues that are getting all kinds of loyal Firefox fans pissed off over something so simple as flash.
I have had more problems with crashing since Firefox 5 has come out. Obviously the proper testing has not been done by Mozilla. In the 3. series i maybe crashed once a year, now is daily! WAKE UP MOZILLA!
Before I go any further i have read numerous post in here with people have the same problem. I have also done some testing on my own from what Mozilla suggests, in which NONE of their solutions corrects this issue. My solution however, which is not a solution but more a work a round solves totally any plugin-container.exe crashing. It was simply to roll back to Firefox 4.01. I updated to the newest flash player via their site.
I have been crash free for days now! THIS IS NOT AN ADOBE FLASH ISSUE. If it were then i would have crashed in 4.01 as well. For those concerned with the update nag, simply go to options->advanced-> and the tick boxes. that will prevent the nag
I thought that i could re-install Firefox 7 and simply replace the plugin-container.exe from 4.01, however that did not work. It resulted in a complete lock up of Firefox 7.01, and was honestly hoping that it would be that straight forward.
I read some peoples success with the 8b3. So, I tried that, and didn't solve my problem. I crashed within 24 hours again on flash related content. ( the crash ids are for the 8b3 i listed ).
Maybe someone needs to take the plugin container, and associated components in 4.01 and incorporate it in a new release, or revert back to that engine all together so that we can have a nice web experience without all the crashes.
You can get Firefox 4.01 here:
    ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/4.0.1/
edit: replaced random unofficial download site link.

I have found the bug thread, and have posted several posts with information and some examples of sites that provide positive crashes.
    https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=561019
From reading the posts, it looks as if Mozilla has moved this up a bit in priority according to reading into a post from one of the mozilla's team members since I have provided information concerning the crashes.
That particular bug ( Bug 561019 - Plugin waveOutOpen hangs ) is the TOP crasher of plugins:
    https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/topcrasher/byversion/Firefox/7.0.1/7/plugin
As far as reporting bug/hangs. The end user has to press the " submit crash report " link to submit it. If they do not it will sit there until you go into about:crashes
For hangs that DO NOT produce a crash you once again have to go into about:crashes and click on all the reports that DO NOT have a " bp " in front of them to get them to actually submit. They will post in about 3 minutes.
So for the "400 million" said users and " hard facts tend to suggest that most users do not crash " is unreliable to state since it is TOTALLY up to the end user to submit the report providing they know how. I know from working in a professional environment 99.9% of users do not submit error reports of any kind when something crashes the OS or any program. Even with the 9 members of my team they always click "do not send" except for myself.
" Get rid of plugin container " is a non option since you run the risk of features not working as i have found when you do that.
It does seem like a Firefox issue for several reasons: latest version of flash with Firefox v4.01 works flawlessly, and Chrome and IE do not have this issue with flash.

  • JMF crashed with Logitech QuickCam Pro for Notebook using latest driver.

JMF crashed with Logitech QuickCam Pro for Notebook using latest driver
I can't register the webcam in JMF. WinXP crashed with Blue-screen-of-dead.
The crash occurs on installation of JMF when the installer tries to detect my capture devices.
Windows also crashes when i open the JMF Registry Editor and tell it to search for my capture devices.
I use a QuickCam Pro for Notenooks with driver version 11.80.1065.0000 on Windows XP with JMF 2.1.1e.
PS: I can use JMF to connect to other brand's webcam.
    So, how to solve it?

So, how to solve it?JMF apparently doesn't work with that camera...so if you want to install JMF, you should unplug your Logitech cam. If that doesn't work, uninstall it.

  • SQL Developer 3.2 crashes with java error when using OCI/Thick Driver

I just installed SQL Developer 3.2 on my linux desktop. SQL Developer crashes with a java error when I select a database from the object tree.
When I check Use OCI/Thick driver the application will crash when I navigate to the tree and open a database.
The app does not crash then I have Use OCI/Thick driver unchecked.

I also had the problem of SQL Developer crashing when using OCI/Thick driver but I've managed to solve it. My configuration is:
    - Windows 64-bit
    - Java 64-bit (1.6.0.34)
    - SQL Developer 3.2.09 64-bit
    - OCI Instant client 11.2.0.3 64-bit (without installation).
The thing that solved the problem was copying two files, ojdbc5.jar and ojdbc6.jar, from Instant client installation folder to JAVA_HOME/lib/ext folder+.
After that, I haven't had a single crash or error message.
The same trick that solved the problem on 64-bit installation also solved the problem on another windows computer with 32-bit SQL Developer installation.

  • Severe driver-crashes with N580GTX Lightning! [v3xx series]

    Hello everyone!
i just registered here after a while of scouring the forum a bit. i'll try to present info about the issue in accordance with the posting guidelines as far as possible, as well as try to be concise in it.
my system-specs can be seen in my sig below. following is about the occurrence(s):
    1. i got my system built in Aug./Sept. 2011, the GPU being bought at the same time. since then, i have played games a lot less (unjustifiably). in fact, very rarely in 2012. the last games i remember playing were BF3, skyrim, hard reset, & limbo, all at their respective default graphics-settings. the GPU has NEVER BEEN overclocked, nor MSI's applications been used at any point of time.
    2. two months back, in november, i started noticing that the display-driver crashed intermittently. this was a never-seen-earlier issue for me, and it being far random & infrequent in nature, i neglected it as some random occurrence. the display-driver must've been from 3xx series then, but i can't say surely. i was till then using drivers downloaded from MSI's website after it used to notify me about the same. this was probably the 1st time i had downloaded drivers from nvidia's website though.
    3. a little later, with time, nvidia started showing me updates about driver-releases every now & then, and i started downloading & installing all of them.
    4. now, at the time i am writing, i had downloaded v310.70, and the crashes, with the passage of time within these 2 months, have gone from worse to berserk! i booted up my PC 2 days back after a gap of a week, and for a few hours it behaved normal, but after an overnight operation the next day, the driver showed it's true worth again! since then, in the past 2 days, the v310.70 driver is behaving madly, and the system kept restarting on this driver after continuous crashes! i was also notified about v310.90 being available for download, but i skipped that understandably.
    5. today, i tried clean installation of earlier drivers as well, till v280.26, using 'driver fusion', but to no avail. the most 'stable' version seems to be v306.97, as it crashes only when:
     - i boot up the PC. it then crashes 3-4 times continuously, and then everything's normal again.
     - same behaviour when i put the PC off 'sleep' mode, though not consistent.
     - when i watch a youtube video; crash occurs very randomly.
thankfully, with v306.97, the PC isn't restarting (yet!).
    6. i was contemplating writing to MSI India for a probable fault with the card after such crashes & after going through nvidia forums (where nvidia hasn't bothered to respond properly), but then thought of 1st posting it here after going through this forum.
please note that i have NOT overclocked the GPU at any point of time ever, played games very less, games used to run flawlessly till sometime back (and i haven't played any after this issue showed up, but i know what could be the result of doing so).
S/N of the card is: 602-02SB11098062
am not able to test the card in any other PC, as i don't have one, and nor do i have friend(s) here close-by. also, should i update MSI Afterburner? i read in a thread that it solved the issue with one. nevertheless, i know i should, obviously
also, i keep my PC turned ON frequently over the nights (if that is of any help here).
Please let me know if any additional info is reqd., as well as what could be done. i don't have much idea about intricacies of the topic like changing voltages, BIOS flashing, etc., but you could just let me know what should be done & i have the searching-ability as well as Mr. Google to assist me too
    Thanks in advance!
UPDATE: so the system had its 1st restart now on v306.97 driver, after i started gtalk. a momentary hang, and zap! also, am using the DVI port on the card to connect it to the monitor, if that's of any use here.

I have this same problem and have been scouring forums for months on end to no avail. Previously using the older version of the drivers it would crash often when running intensive games such as BF3 and Hitman Absolution whereas since the recent update it crashes regularly with pretty much any game on high settings. By crash I mean lots of small green square shaped artifacts all over the screen then the machine reboots.
I have reported this problem to Scan computers where I purchased the card from and travelled 2 hours to get to their base only to have them test the card for 20 mins on BF3 and report that they found no issue with it. The problem I have is also that it could sometimes run for a couple of hours before having sudden spate of crashes so it wasn't really guaranteed to show a problem with the way they tested it.
Scan at least understood that I was frustrated and replaced all the mem sticks in my machine - this didnt help either as the problem persists and I am very very frustrated with the card - so much that I am thinking I might chuck it in the bin and buy a 680GTX from a different manufacturer because it costs me more to take time off travelling to Scan that it would do buying a new card (petrol and losing pay as I am self employed).
    I have tried the following to resolve the issue;
    1) Complete rebuild of machine - remove clean and reassemble all parts and reinstall OS from scratch more than once
    2) Run with different driver versions - some are more flakey than others but all are unstable
    3) Replace all the memory
    4) Ran with memory in different slots
    5) Changed mem timings from auto to XMP to manual etc
    6) Ensured no area of the system was overclocked in bios
    7) Running different versions of motherboard bios
    8) ensured electricity supply wasnt at fault by changing the sockets used, 4 way gangs used, tried dedicated socket - I also moved house during this period and still get the same issue at the new house
    9) Rewired the graphics card to different ports on the PSU in case those were at fault - all give the same result. PSU is also a 750w corsair pro series so has enough juice to run a single card that hasnt been overclocked in my opinion. I also dont have any other add-in cards that might be drawing power.
I notice that sometimes when it crashes to desktop and doesnt reboot the system it states that the driver stops responding and also that the graphics card can no longer be detected.
I had at one point thought this might be an overheating issue however sometimes I can boot up my machine from cold and there is white lines all across the screen in POST and upon booting into windows it goes into the default vga driver mode stating that the graphics card cannot be detected - the msi afterburner software also states that it cannot detect any compatible hardware.
If I then reboot my machine anything up to 10 times the graphics card then starts working and the white lines in POST dissapear and everything might run fine for a few hours. Having said that it actually used to sometimes crash in VLC player whilst watching a movie which is hardly what I would call intensive use.
All in all very frustrating and whilst I used to seriously rate MSI products this has left me feeling a bit cold because SCAN were not interested in the many screenshots i sent them or the video of the problem occurring - they eventually relented and said send in the card for testing which would equate to them having it for up to 2 weeks during which time i dont know if they will just test it with bf3 for 20 mins again and declare it perfectly fine.
Also I have to add, if I enable the on-board graphics chip on the motherboard and run with that then the system is completely stable which again points me back to the GPU being at fault.

  • Premiere CC crash with XDCAM MXF

I work in a Project for a few days with many MXF Files (XDCAM HD422).
    Everything worked fine until today:
When I click on a MXF File I already used the last days in a sequence - Premiere CC crashes with this on my display:
I've resettet Premiere Preferences already - no change.
Some MXF Files already work but most of them generate that crash error.
    What can I do?

    Hey...thank you....
Making the MXF offline and relink again solved my problem.
But doesn't matter where I've clicked - same error in bin as in timeline but now everything just works fine again...
But I don't understand why this happened?

  • Yosemite finder crashes with previewig .txt and other files

    Hello,
under Yosemite  the Finder crashes with previewig .txt and other files.
Is this just my problem? Help please.
    Thank you very much.
    Regards.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
    Step 1
For this step, the title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
In the top right corner of the Console window, there's a search box labeled Filter. Initially the words "String Matching" are shown in that box. Enter the name of the crashed application or process. For example, if Safari crashed, you would enter "Safari" (without the quotes.)
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
☞ The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.
☞ Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
    Step 2
    In the Console window, select
DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ User Diagnostic Reports
(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of crash reports. The name of each report starts with the name of the process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report related to the process in question. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot.
I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway.
If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a crash, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report—they're very long and rarely helpful.

  • Internet Explorer Crashes with Windows 7 64 bit

Internet Explorer has constantly crashes with my Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium system.  I have tried every troubleshooting method there is and it still crashes.  I tried uninstalling the Windows update and it was wiped out so I did a system restore.
I still don't feel safe.  Any more solution I could try?

    Hi,
You can try the following suggestions to check if the problem be solved:
    Try to run IE in
    No Add-ons.
    Try to restore IE setting.
    Try to use

  • Crashes with Premiere CS4 under Win7 32Bit

Hello, since a few months, I work with Premiere Pro CS4 4.2.1 on an ASUS based PC (Striker II Mainboard 4 Cores and 4 GB RAM). I also use an external Video RAID 0, connected via a eSata controller card. All application like Photoshop and Aftereffects run correctly and stable. When I cut videos on Premiere Pro in HD or SD, I often have undefined crashes with Premiere Pro CS4. Sometimes the application quits itself, sometimes I get no response from the GUI, or while Rendering a message appears that the is no enough systemspace. I have Terabytes Spaces and I can't imagine that this should be the problem. The mediacache is also routed to the video drive. Those crashes happens 7 times or more a day. I tried several codecs and it makes no different whether I use the connected Blackmagic Design Eclipse Interface or not.
With Driver Genius Pro I searched for the latest mainboard and graphic drivers, but without any changes in result. Do you have expirience with Win7 32bit and ASUS Striker II Maninboard. Is it a good idea to buy a new 64 Bit PC and an upgrade to CS5? May this solve hanging problems? What could be the reason for Instability?
    Thanks for answers.
    Sincerely
    André

    André,
I cannot address your MoBo question, but have some articles that might offer a few tips. The first ARTICLE is on setting up one's computer for a video editing session, one of the most intense operations that one can subject a computer to. For Win7, please look down to the last addenda, as there is a Win7 specific link to Black Viper's page.
The next ARTICLE is on finding clues as to what is happening, when the program crashes or hangs.
The last ARTICLE is a link to general troubleshooting tips for PrPro.
With Driver Genius Pro I searched for the latest mainboard and graphic drivers, but without any changes in result.
I'd take this one step further, regarding your video card's driver. Note the exact card that you have, its driver info, and go to the mfgr's. site. Find the very latest driver, and compare with what you have installed. Too many of those all-in-one updaters will stop far short of getting the very latest driver. I have seen systems, using similar, where the video driver was 3 years old, and showing as "most recent." For nVidia, or ATI/AMD, that will be ~ 30 driver versions behind.
Just some thoughts, and good luck,
    Hunt

No major installs or real changes in use as of late. Thanks in advance for any help on this frustrating issue.

Thanks for everybody's help. Safari was crashing right out of the gates and while I only tried it once or twice changing preferences didn't seem to fix things. However, I found this thread and the problem seems to be solved:

I've already tried quite a few things, trashing preferences, disabling out external hd, repairing the disk, repairing the user settings.
Has anyone an idea that could help me solving the problem?

    Hi-
The "Exception: EXCBADACCESS (0x0001) Codes: KERNINVALIDADDRESS (0x0001) at 0x6c000004" report is often seen with memory related issues. Have you verified your memory with AHT or Rember?
The "Exception: EXC_BREAKPOINT (0x0006)" could be a different issue, implicating (in Thread 4) the "com.apple.soundtrackpro" plist, and/or (after prior thread 3) loading of the
    "com.apple.audio.midi.CoreMIDI".
Amoung the preferences that you trashed, was "com.apple.soundtrackpro" or "com.apple.audio.midi.CoreMIDI" among them?
The two could be related by way of a memory problem, or be seperate issues. The data transfer function returns KERN_SUCCESS if the memory was successfully written, KERNINVALIDADDRESS if an invalid or non-allocated address was specified or there was insufficient memory allocated at one of the addresses and KERNPROTECTIONFAILURE if the destination region was not writable or the source region was not readable. KERNINVALIDADDRESS report is implicating a problem at memory address 0x6c000004.
I would do some testing/verification of your RAM.
