[SOLVED] Connecting my guitar to my pc and get sound out?

I have a guitar and a cable that came with the game Rocksmith for ps3. The cable is a regular guitar cable with a usb out. Is there any software that I could use to get sound out from my pc. When I connect it to my pc, it recognizes my guitar as a microphone. I searched and all I found was some $500 windows software. Thank you for all the help.

However, it is probably a better idea to connect the guitar directly to the sound card with a regular cable (through a mixer or with an adapter). I just wanted to get sound out of my computer because I have no amp or any money to buy one right now. I have some nice computer speakers and thought that the cable might work since it is a usb. I'm not using my ps3 because it broke or else I would just use my tv. But thanks for the idea. I'll keep looking around.

Use a mini-Displayport-to-HDMI adapter and a standard HDMI cable to connect the computer to the proper HDMI port on your computer — the one that is paired with the separate RCA audio inputs (see the TV's manual for this information). It is opening up your computer generally because there are photos in the camera roll to prompt you to import them to the computer as you would a digital camera.

This shows the output of a FP-AI-100 monitoring a 9v battery. I have to monitor this battery for a 4 hour period my problem is storing the 4 hours of data and getting it out of the "while loop" into a "Write to Spreadsheet File VI" all I seem to accomplish is just one data sample which I get into a spreed ship file with no problem. I just can't get 4 hours worth. By the way this is my first VI and I'm self
trained so have mercy.

Connecting a guitar with an adapter and 1/8" audio cable...

I went out and bought a stero to stereo headphone adapter that plugs into to my guitar with a 1/4" plug and comes out the other side with a 1/8" plug which I put into my macbook pro. When I go to system preferences and do audio in, it shows the volume go up every time I play my guitar like it should, but for some reason garageband won't recognize it at all and I can't make any sound come out of the computer. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I already went into garageband preferences and changed the out so I don't think that's it...
Please help, I really want to try this out...

Just changed the GB preferences that your link told me too. I added a new real instrument track and now even on GB it shows the volume thing go up when I play my guitar, but still no sound comes out of the computer.

The optimum choice is to format it ExFAT, but do so on the PC, not the Mac. Alternatively, you can make two partitions - one for the Mac; one for the PC. Partition the drive using GUID when you make the two partitions. Format one using Mac OS Extended, Journaled. Format the other on your PC using NTFS if you won't need to write to it from the OS X side or use ExFAT if you do.
Drive Partition and Format
1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to two. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Apply button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) you will use for Windows from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to MSDOS.
6. Click on the Erase button.
When you connect the drive to your PC reformat the PC volume to either NTFS or ExFAT.

Broken sound card, Can i install a pci card and get sound

I fried my internal sound card plugging up my mixer through my headphone jack. I have a mirror door, dual 1 ghz prossesors. Can i just install a m-audio pci card and get my sound back. i hope so. thanks.

The answer is yes, though there seems to be very few Mac compatible sound cards. This is probably because Macs always came with sound built in. The exceptions are the Xserve which have no sound section. I have a dual 1.33GHz G4 Xserve that I have fitted with a M-Audio Audiophile 192 PCI card. This works well but is expensive new (I got mine used). My only complaint (as a general purpose sound card) you have to use the M-Audio app to change the volume - the normal volume controls don't work.
MUCH cheaper is the USB sound card option. I also have a Griffin iMic on my work Mac and this is plugged into my keyboard usb slot. That means I can conveniently plug my headphones in with just a short cord. Works great, sounds great, and works with the standard volume controls.

I'm totally confused!
I have a late 2009 model Macbook. And I want to connect it to my TV.
So my research has led to believing I need a Mini display port adapter and a HDMI cable - but from some of what I have read, this won't carry sound...
Can anyone clarify this and what I do actually need?

The Mini DisplayPort to HDMI doesn't carry audio unless you have the Mid 2010 model 7,1 and there're no audio plugs on most TVs to work with HDMI since it's expecting audio with theHDMI.
If you have the Late 2009 model 6,1 White Unibody with the MiniDisplay Port there is an adapter that can combine video and audio to HDMI.

Audigy 2 ZS spdif connected to reciever only gives bad and lousy sound

I have connected my Audigy 2 ZS to my Pioneer home surround reciever.
I have used a 3.5mm pin to connect a RCA cable to my spdif out on my card and connected this to my coax digital input on my pioneer.
I have the latest driver
But the sound in my home stereo is only bad, lousy and tubelike.
No extre effects do I use, and everything else (DVD, Pocorn hour and CD player) connected to my pioneer sounds crystal clear and really good, but not the music from my computer. (Tried differend kind of mediaplayers)
So, my question is why is it so? Should I get perfect stereosound from this setup in my home stereo?
Have I done something wrong setting this up?

I have a projector connected to a directtv box that is connected to an older Bose system in my media room. How can i hook up my apple tv to my projector and still get sound out of the bose system without running another sound cable to the bose system?

I also bought a regular HDMI cable to plug one end in this Dr.Bott connector and the other in my TV.
=> I can see my Macbook backgound now on my TV, but none of the applications appears. When starting a DVD on my Macbook my TV only shows the background image of my Macbook.

This is called "extended desktop mode". You can drag any window off the right side of the screen and it will appear on the TV.
To Mirror the main monitor you can press CMD F1 to toggle between mirror mode and extended desktop.

TS3694 I keep on restoring my iPhone only to fail with it saying error 3002 has occurred. I have done everything I can do to try and get that out of the way. It still says error 3002 has occurred. Can someone tell me what's going on?

Test restoring while connected to a known-good network.
