That one can be solved by encoding to vob as opposed to mpg. I do still get the time stamp warning, but I read that they can be ignored. The problem I'm having now is this one:

    You could've backed up your iPad prior to the "forced" upgrade which, by the way, you could have cancelled. iTunes doesn't upgrade your iPad, automatically, on its own. You had to click the Upgrade button to initiate the upgrade. You didn't have to do anything with that button. You can just leave it be.
    iOS 8 is garbage on iPad 2 and 3 and even though iTunes keeps giving me the Update button option, I continually choose to ignore it.
    Ignoring the Upgrade/Update button doesn't affect the normal iTunes/iDevice syncing/backing up operations.
    You could've just left that button alone.
    When was the last time you backed up your iPad?
    While there is no way way to revert to a previous iOS version once you upgrade your iDevices iOS, iTunes saves multiple backups of your iDevice and if you backed up your iPad previously to this latest activity, you should be able to restore your iPad from an older  backup that should appear by date when  you plug your iDevice into your Mac, was for iTunes to launch and sync your iPad, then cancel the backup in progress and use the Restore function in iTunes to restore your iDevice from another previous backup version date.
    If your current version of iTunes doesn't recognize your iPad2 under iOS 8, you need to check the iTunes update feature, in iTunes or in OS X Software Update feature in OS X Preferences panel to see if there is a iTunes update available for OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.

    When I try to create a DVD from a recorded TV programme on my Qosmio F10 I get the following message-
    "Media in the CD/DVD drive is not writable by Media Center"
    I know that the media is writable by the Qosmio under normal windows but under Media Center it doesn't work on any format of DVD - data, video or DVD slide show.

  • HOW TO CREATE VIDEO DVD WITH ADOBE MEDIA ENCODER

    I AM NEW TO ADOBE PREMIERE. AFTER SOME HOURS OF LEARNING FINALLY I FINISHED EDITING 30 MIN OF VIDEO. NOW I DONT KNOW HOW TO OUTPUT TO DVD ( VIDEO DVD ) TO PLAY IN DVD PLAYERS. PLS HELP.

    Which version of Premiere? CC does not include Encore, but you can download the Encore CS6 from your account. As it is part of Premiere CS6, I believe you would need to download and install Premiere/Encore CS6, and then you can uninstall Premiere CS6, leaving Encore CS6 installed.
    If you have Premiere CS6, then you already have Encore CS6. In either case, from Premiere, use File > Export > Media to open Media Encoder. For FORMAT, choose "MPEG-2 DVD", then choose an appropriate preset from the list. For instance, if editing with 1080i, then you might choose NTSC Widescreen High Quality. For 1080p, then use the Progressive version, etc.
    What is your source video format? If starting with HD, then check the box at the bottom of AME for Max Render Quality, it helps with the scaling.
    Hit EXPORT at bottom and it exports two files, an .m2v for video and .wav for audio. Open Encore, start a New DVD project, and then File > Import > As Timeline and grab both those files for import. From there, I recommend finding an Encore tutorial, too involved for me to type it all out here.
    Hope this gets you going at least, but search online for tutorials, there is plenty of good, free stuff out there
    Thanks

  • Create a DVD (Movie) From a Video Received via Email (???)

    Someone is sending me a video of a family event via email; not yet sure what format it will be (.mov or whatever) and it's coming via a Windows computer. Assuming that the movie will play when the email arrives, how can I burn the movie to a DVD so I can play it back on a TV later on?
    I suppose I'd drag it to my desktop, but from there I'm not at all sure how to burn it to a DVD so it will play as a movie on my TV's DVD player.
    What app(s) do I use (?), and can someone provide some "See Spot run" instructions, as DVD burning is not my forte'.
    Thanks in advance!

    +Why burn with Titanium (which I don't have) if I can burn with either iMovie or iDVD (depending on if I want to snazz it up)?+
    Well, Toast has a few other things included which may come in handy and I've just gotten used to using it, but there is no need for it, especially for basic burning. So, yes, you can use iMovie or iDVD.
    +As an alternative, can I go to iDVD>File>OneStep DVD From Movie (which I would have dragged to the desktop from the email)and do it that way?+
    One-Step DVD is to transfer video directly from a camcorder to burn to a DVD (check iDVD help). I've never used that feature because I tend to do a lot of "snazzing" including customizing the themes, creating intros with several layers of video and live fonts, etc. But there is another possibility: Magic iDVD: "lets you create professional quality DVD with minimal effort" - again, check iDVD help; there are step by step instructions. I haven't used that feature either.
    You might want to consider checking out the appropriate forums for both iMovie and iDVD for tips and/or questions - some very knowledgeable people hang out there. You'll find that with a little effort, you can create some really cool movies. And remember that both iMovie and iDVD only accept certain formats, so if you get an error or it won't let you drag it, run it through MPEG Streamclip first.
    Edit: As an afterthought, I'm wondering if you will actually be able to get that movie via email - most ISP's impose limits on file size.

  • Import Video into PE4 from existing DVD

    I have a DVD of my son's wedding done be a professional videographer. He has a main menu and a scene menu. One choise on the main menu is "wedding summary" This plays a video that is highlights of the main video with the ambient audio replaced with music, and a lot of transitions. I want to "capture" this section into PE4 and then create a very short extract that I can put up on you tube to send to some family and friends. I contatinated all of the VOB files on the DVD using the command prompt and the copy/b x + y technique that I got from muvipix and brought them in to PE4, but I don't get the video that was on that main menu selection. How can I do this? I wish I could just play the DVD and then hit an "export" button.
    Cliff

    Video Re-do is one, and DVD-Decrypter (now since banned, but possibly available with some major searching?) is another.
    Do follow Paul's suggestion first, though. It might, or might not, be possible to break everything out into neat, editable pieces.
    Also remember that the Assets were Transcoded to MPEG-2 to burn the DVD. You will be working with that compressed format, and if going to another DVD, re-compressing it again. Quality WILL take a hit, but sometimes, one only has certain Assets, with which to work.
    If you do get your Project broken apart, I'd suggest doing a conversion to DV-AVI outside of PE. It will speed things up and eliminate some potential problems. I use Digital Media Converter (shareware from Deskshare) for this, but there are several freeware programs mentioned in the FAQ and used extensively by forum members.

  • Created a DVD project from Adobe Encore into a .iso file

    I have an ISO file that is suppose to have my Encore DVD on it. How do I OR what do I do with this file to get it to be something I can use with my DVD Player! HELP... signed, frustrated bill

    Well, I burned the VIDEO_TS folder...it runs on the MAC DVD Player. When I put it into on DVD player hooked up to a TV...it immediately says OPEN and opens. I put it into another DVD player hooked to another TV and it sort of sits there knowing it has a DVD...for a minute or two then generates some error code.
    So...VIDEO_TS works on computer Mac...not on individual DVD players.
    Yes. The Mac DVD Player application plays either a VIDEO_TS folder or a DVD. The VIDEO_TS folder can be on a disk of any format. A standalone DVD player needs the VIDEO_TS folder to be on a UDF DVD. Burning the VIDEO_TS folder will not generate a UDF DVD, whether you use Finder or Disk Utility for burning. The ISO image file you started with should be UDF. If you burn it (not the VIDEO_TS folder it contains) with Disk Utility, it will generate a UDF DVD that will play of a standalone DVD player. If the ISO disk image file is not UDF (open the ISO file and look in Disk Utility to see if it's UDF), you can make a UDF disk image file from the VIDEO_TS folder using DVD Imager

  • Burning video DVD's from any program doesn't work anymore... help!

    Here's the situation:
    I have tried to burn a DVD in idvd and Popcorn, both failed.
    Error message in IDVD was:
    idvd: errors were found during the burning process
    then... there was a problem during multiplexing/burning
    Popcorn reported:
    Drive error:
    The drive reported an error
    Sense Key = Medium Error
    Sense Code = 0x73, 0x03
    I also tried using popcorn to burn from a disk image. I can create a disk image in idvd, but burning from a disk image failed.
    I tried a different video, just in case my files were corrupted. No go.
    I tried a different user. No go.
    I used disk utility, emptied caches and still nothing.
    Then I tried using the finder to burn just data onto the DVD. That worked.
    The media is Maxell DVD-R 16X.
    Please Help!!!!! I am out of warrantee and am not sure what to do here.

    Ditto to the above (slower media may help). Maxell is great media but i'd also try Verbatim DVD-R Minus media....just to see if it works any better.

  • Creating video dvd

    Hi,
    I've tried for the last week to make dvd's playable in standalone video players. I converted a whole bunch of videos with mencoder to the VCD format (since it's bad quality videos anyway). Now I got all these .mpg videos and I have burned them already a few times on dvd but the dvd player always says "cannot read disc". I'm using a DVD+RW to try it out. I did only once burn to a DVD+R but it didn't work either.
    Do I need to do anything special to make it work?
    I heard DVD+R doesn't work as good with many players as DVD-R, is that the problem?
    Bah, I really don't like standalone dvd players...

    You should be able to burn VCD files to a DVD, but VCD files are mpeg-1 and DVD are mpeg-2 and you can create DVD files at the same resolution and bitrate as VCD files if you want which should be better quality than the VCD files, so there isn't any reason to use VCD files unless that is what you started with.  I did actually do this once and I put ~10 hours of video on a single layer disk with the video encoded at 352x288 mpeg-2, however the end results looked pretty poor, but the source wasn't very good to begin with.
    Unless your DVD player is capable of playing plain mpeg video files, you will need to convert the files to the DVD-Video disk structure using dvdauthor or your DVD player just won't be able to play them, in other words you probably do need the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS dirs and other files dvdauthor creates.  Doing this manually with dvdauthor is quite a chore, but there are a number of front ends that will do this for you, I can't recommend any however, since the last time I looked I either couldn't get them working or they just didn't let me do things the way I wanted, so I always end up doing evrything myself which can be quite time consuming if you want to do more than put a single file on a disk.

  • Scripting: Create Cluster in Array from existing cluster

    I am creating a custom programming tool to generate some custom LabVIEW TypeDefs.
    One of the structures I have to create is an array of clusters; but from an existing cluster.  That is, I have a reference to a previously defined cluster, and I need to array this.
    One possible way to do this is to duplicate the cluster next to the empty array, and then 'move it into' the array.  This seems to be an ugly solution.
    Is there a better way?  When I try and use "Create from Reference" method, the cluster is created in the array, but the sub-elements trigger error 0x421: Type Mismatch.
    Thanks!
    Jed

    Hi Viper,
    Sorry- you misunderstand.  We are talking about doing this with LV Scripting; what you did statically defines the array type in the VI.  Writing LV code that would create the array from an undefined array by running a VI.  (In the situation above, the code would actually EDIT the VI and change it's functionality)
    There are a few examples in the distro if you search for "scripting", but here's a page with some example code you can look at.

  • Creating a web service from existing EJB.  HELP!!!

    I have an existing EJB deployed to WL which I want to call as a web service. I do not want to deploy everything in an EAR - I want to use the existing EJB.
    Basically I just created a new web module and put my web-services.xml (and web.xml) in WEB-INF and deployed it.
    The web-services.xml looks like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <web-services>
    <web-service useSOAP12="false" exposeWSDL="true" targetNamespace="http://www.fxf.com/test/services" name="ProtoService" style="rpc" uri="/ProtoService" ignoreAuthHeader="false">

    <operation name="protoOneMethodOne" method="protoOneMethodOne" component="ejbcomp0">
    </operation>
    </operations>
    </web-service>
    </web-services>
    When I deploy my web project WL throws an exception. Here is part of the stack trace:

    I'm sure that my EJB is a stateless session bean. Looking at the deployed EJB in the console confirms it.
    I cannot figure out what WL is upset about.
    Does anyone have any advice or know of any resoures on using an existing EJB via a webservice in WL? I did not find any sort of guide, I just pieced this approach together. It seems like it should work, but I'm stuck on this problem.
    I really appreciate any help or advice.
    Thanks,
    Matt
