Solved-delete please

When I boot my Touchsmart 600-1160sc (Win7 x64), this kind of errors appear. The second "RegisterDeviceNotification error" appears after I press "OK" to the first one.
After I press "OK" to the second one, nothing interesting happens, and no other errors or problems appear after booting.
I just want to know how serious these error are, and mainly, how to fix them?

I have had probably the same Problem (JAN2OSD: Can't Get UART State) on a HP TouchSmart 600-1220de running Win7 Home Premium 64bit. This occured after applying the MS patches of February 2011. Since then the volume buttons of the keyboard didn't work and the process JAN2OSD ate up 25% CPU time.
JAN2OSD.exe is launched by c:\program files (x86)\hewlett-packard\buttons & osds control application gen3\fastuserswitching.exe?" (Buttons & OSDs control application gen3, FastUserSwitching MFC Application) on login. As a workaround, I disabled fastuserswitching.exe with autoruns from sysinternals. So, the error messages and the waste of CPU time are gone. The volume control buttons an the keyboard don't work, of course.
HP Support suggested installing newer/older keyboard and OSD drivers, but this did not help.
The solution for me was: Shutdown the OS and disconnect the PC from power for a few minutes. Then reboot. With fastuserswitching.exe? re-enabled, no error messages occur anymore and the volume buttons resumed working as supposed.
The Procedure was suggested by a colleague of mine.

1. What version of the Mac OS are you running (Apple > About this Mac)?
2. What version of the iOS are you running (Settings > About)?
3. Do you use MobileMe/ iCloud or another server based sync solution like Google or Yahoo?
4. Do other changes to synced information like Address Book content sync successfully back and forth?
Based on your description it sounds like you have a 1 way sync issue. Events sync fine between the iOS devices and fine from the computer to the iOS devices but not from the iOS devices to the computer.

I assume you are trying to end the clip/project with a fade to black, or something that just doesn't cut so instant.
One thing i'm thinking you can try is to Add a "Transition Clip" to the end, and try your first method. (with Detached Audio + Delete Selection. (Yellow highlight was deleted selection) Do you need something to end like this?
If you can, put screenshot up (Shift+Comm+4), if i'm not on the right idea. It seems like an easy fix, with a few ways of doing it. You can also add a blank image to end project, sub titles or Add,Cutaway fade +Opacity adjust.

Todd, have you "thrown the switch" to tell Palm Desktop to direct the data to Outlook?
Start Button/All Programs/Palm/PIM Conduit Sync/Sync with Outlook.
You said you're "using the Outlook 2007 Conduit" -- does this mean you installed the Outlook 2007 Update on top of Palm Desktop 6.2.2? If so, that may be a problem as 6.2.2 comes with 2007 compatibility built into it!
I have read several posts recently where a user made the same mistake, and it caused some problems. If throwing the switch above does not fix things, I'd uninstall/reinstall Palm Desktop, but do NOT install the Outlook 2007 patch.

I'm trying to solve a problem in setting up Devrloper Suite 10g with the database in the same machine. Another user helped me with the message below but when I try to run it I receive the message last below.
Message from the user:
You should install Oracle10g and Developer Suite 10g into 2 separated Oracle Homes. The steps are summarised as follows:
Preparation:
1. Increase Virtual Memory of your PC
Right-click on My Computer, Properties
Click on Advanced tab
Click on Performances [Settings]
Click on Advanced tab
Click on Virtual Memorys [Change]
Change Maximum Size to 900MB (Default was 768MB)
Click on [Set], [OK], [OK], [OK]
2. Stop all anti-virus programs
3. Unzip files to C:\Disk1 and C:\Disk2
Part 1: Steps to install Developer Suite
1. Double-click on C:\setup.exe
2. Click on [Next]
Enter Name: Ora10gDS (which should nbe different from Oracle10g's Oracle Home)
Enter Path: C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDS
Click on [Next]
3. Select the radio button for Complete (898MB)
Click on [Next]
Provide Outgoing Mail Server Information:
Enter outgoing mail (SMTP) server: e.g. mail.netvigator.com (if you are using Netvigator)
This is the same as the setting for your Outlook for your ISP.
Click on [Next]
Click on [Install]
Click on [Exit], [Yes]
Part 2: Steps to setup Designer 10g
Time Taken: 30 minutes to 60 minutes depending on the speed of your PCs CPU
1. Login SQL Plus as SYS with password and connect string of orcl as sysdba
2. Copy the sql file in the zip file with this Word file to c:\
3. Start the script file

Neglect Errors as the script will drop existing objects and re-create them. If existing objects cannot be dropped, then errors may appear but these will not affect the schema definition for Oracle Developer Suite 10g.
The contents of the SQL script file des10g_for_ora10g.sql are shown for your reference, do not copy the code and paste them in SQL Plus. You should start the script using the start command @C:\des10g_for_ora10g.sql.

The settings for TNSNAMES.ORA have been configured when you installed Oracle 10g but not when you installed Developer Suite 10g.
Steps:
1. Copy the file tnsnames.ora
From:
C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\NETWORK\ADMIN
To:
C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDS\network\admin
Part 4: Setup Repository Administration Utility
1. Run Repository Administration Utility
Click on [Start], All Programs, Oracle Developer Suite Ora10gDS, Software Configuration Manager, Repository Administration Utility
Could not find this anywhere...
2. Login as cim with password cim and connect string of orcl
Enter Username: cim
Enter Password: cim
Enter Connect String: orcl
Click on [OK]
3. Install Repository
Click on icon
Click on [OK]
Click on [Yes]
4. Change the Index Tablespace to DES10G_I
The default settings are:
Change all Index Tablespaces from DES10G to DES10G_I
Enable the radio button for Repository to Medium (Default was Small)

Part 5: Run Designer 10g for the first time
Click on [Start], All Programs, Oracle Developer Suite Ora9iDS, Designer, Oracle Designer

Designer 10g (9.0.4) is successfully configured for your immediate use now.
Trying to run the script it informs there is no repository available.

Hi redgundam460 You need to Uninstall Flash Player first and follow these instructions for doing so. Make sure you read what applies to you. You can use the Manual Installer for IE and the Manual Installer for FF or other non-IE browsers.

[SOLVED] Deleted /var/lib/transmission. How do I get it back?

I was messing around with transmission-daemon, and I tried reinstalling it to solve a different, previous issue. When I deleted the package "transmission-cli" with Pacman, I noticed that there is still a directory "transmission" in /var/lib. Thinking this is just some leftover stupid thing that holds the daemon's config files and other things, I deleted the directory.
I installed transmission-cli again, but the directory won't reappear and I can't start the transmission-daemon.
Do you know of a way to regenerate the /var/lib/transmission directory?

I believe that karol is referring to this note:
Note: The above is not created until the daemon is run initially.
Which suggests that the directory will be recreated when the daemon is run as well.
If this is not the case, try creating the directory manually. Here's the permissions on mine for reference:
$ ls -ld /var/lib/transmission
drwx------ 1 transmission transmission 98 Aug 21 2012 /var/lib/transmission

57 GB of Movie Files that I can't locate to delete, please help.

When I look at my storage, it says there is 57GB of movie files, however, I can't find those files. I have deleted all movie files that I can find and also emptied the trash can. But can't seem to find the 57GB of movies. Can someone help please.

If the Storage display seems to be inaccurate, try rebuilding the Spotlight index. Otherwise, the movies are most likely in the iTunes library. Look for them in All My Files in the sidebar of a Finder window.
