[Solved] Dominator Pro 2PE sound problem
Because i dont want to hear my laptop while playing i bought headset Takstar pro 80. So the problem is that in some games like Dota 2 or StarCraft 2 they are doing high voltage noise, other game dont. I have the newest drivers with Relatek HD Audio manager, and other drivers from Live Updater. In other head phones i dont have that problem. My Takstar pro 80 work perfect with other computers. I was looking for some options in windows manager of this sounds things, and it didnt see there my headset. Other than Takstar pro 80 too, but it send the sound to them.
The Live update is not for MSI NB, so it'll not direct you to the correct driver.
Make sure you download and install all drivers from the MSI webiste download page of your model.
As for the sound issue, what's the audio driver version you're using?
Install the latest one from the download page and see if the sound still remains.

A bit dissapointed, but at least I like the laptop. -
BH-940 Purity Pro Voice sound problem
I purchased the BH-940 to be used as a headset in order to avoid office noice when I speak to customers. The problem is that my own voice does not go to the speakers and, because of the sound reduction and the tight ear pads, my voice coming from the room is very low. To put it short - I can't hear my selv very well when I speak.
Is it possible to boost the microphone sound transmission to the speakers in some way?Alright, I have tried EVERYTHING and I solved it I think. At least it worked for me. It was quite tricky.
1. Connect the headphones with the a USB-charger and the 3.5mm cable.
2. Unfold up only ONE of the headphonerspeaker. Take a pen and push the little square button in the hinge of the headphone speaker (the one who is not folded). Make sure the little LED that tells you the battery charge level flashes (either green or yellow, if its red you need to charge the headphones) for about 10 sec.
3. Now browse to the Lumia 920's settings and choose bluetooth.
4. When the Purity Pro is shown in the bluetooth list try to connect. You will revieve a message that it wont connect. This is "normal" in this case.
5. Now the tricky part:
Try to connect your purity pro within your lumia and simultainously hold the <bluetooth button> + <multifunktion button> and pull out the 3.5mm cable. (the nose at the phone, both hands on the headphones and use your teeths to pull out the 3.5mm cable...) This should be done while you have only one headphone speaker unfolded. If it works the speaker-prompt should be heared and your charger LED should flash (either in yellow or green).
6. Now fold both of the headphone speakers.
7. Pull out the USB-charger.
8. Unfold them and it should be up and running.
Note: This is most likely, not the correct procedure... but this was how I did it and it worked. Feel free to make it easier... -
GT70 Dominator Pro 2PE Freezing on Alt tab
Hi there, first post just wondering if anyone can think of any fixes I haven't.
Basically for about a little over a week now my laptop freezes whenever I alt tab out of a game. I can play fine, games will run great but as soon as I alt tab out and then back in the game locks in place. I can then no longer alt tab back out, and if I bring up task manager I cant click anything either. I can bring it up but as soon as I click on a process to attempt to terminate it my mouse switches back to the in game cursor and its locked again. All I can do is ctrl alt del, then sign out then back in, very frustrating.
I have all the up to date drivers, I have ensured that for both my intel video card and my Nvidia card. My windows updates are all up to date. I have the most recent bios update. I can't really think of what it would be.
Thanks in advance for your time

this could be a issue with game itself just my guess since i have problems like this myself few times on some games when you alt tab out then back the game .exe status changes from Running to Not responding. and remains like that all time so either that is issue with game itself or it could be something else causing it but idk exactly what but i still think it is more likely game itself.
I assumed that at first too, as it was mostly just WoW that was doing it. But now Diablo 3 is doing it, I'm going to check other games when I get home this evening. I can't see anything about it on Blizzards support forums, usually something like this occurs after a patch and is fairly widespread. -
Does anyone know how to make my sound louder? I have windows 7 pro and the sound has always been to low when I play music, youtube, etc.
Any Info would be helpful
Thanks
ChrisHave you installed Sound Blaster Cinema 2 (SBC2)?
http://www.msi.com/support/nb/GS60-2PE-Ghost-Pro.html#down-utility
If yes, it has smart volume feature and may automatically decrease the volume according to the peak value of the overall sound.
You can disable it in SBC2 manager first. -
K7T Pro V1 sound problems and CPU support
I have a K7T Pro V1 motherboard.
I can´t use onboard sound, because when I try to locate it (Windows 2000) on Add New Device, appears blue screen and text "Hardware malfunction. Call your hardware vendor for support. The System has halted".
What I can do? ?( ?(
I also would like to know why this motherboard does not support Duron Morgan processors only Duron Spitfire -versions? :( :(
Thanks for your help!I have enabled all in BIOS:
OnChipSound Enabled
OnBoardLegacy Audio Enabled
Soundblaster Enabled
The system does not found new device automatically and when if I try to find new device manually, appears that error message and I have to boot the computer again.
I just wonder is the problem onboard?
About CPU´s....
Rob454 told "...theyre not officially supporting the Duron Morgan Cpus".
Does this mean I can´t use Morgans att all (even 900 or 950)?
I mean does these 900 or 950 Morgans also need SSE support?
And if I´ll try to use for example Morgan 1.2 Ghz does it work att all (or read as Athlon Thunderbird)? -
K7N420 Pro, onboard sound problems
Can't seem to enable on board sound on this board, drivers installed, however nvidia nforce MCP networking adaptor shows the following error message "The NDIS.VXD, NTKERN.VXD device loader(s) for this device could not load the device driver. (code 2) ".
Any help would be appreciated .....This is the instructions from MSI's old page. (thanks Google )

GT70 Dominator Pro GPU question...
Well, this might be a stupid question, and I apologize ahead of time, I am still trying to learn computers and hopefully one day build one. Either way, I have a GT70 Dominator Pro 2PE, running with NVidia 880M 8G GPU, was curious if this thing was able to fit and support running SLI 880M's. I kinda want to upgrade. I know one 880M is amazing and I run every single game i've come across on Ultra, I just want more power really.
CPU: Intel i-7 4910MQ
16G Kingston Ram
256G Crucial Raid-0 SSD with 1TB HD
ANY help would be appreciated on this matter, thank you all in advance!! Oh and, if it is able to support SLI, would it be plug and play or is some serious config required??Thank you both for the replies! They have been helpful for sure. The main reason I did not go Alienware(I have a desktop from them) is because they were 1200.00 more for a computer with not near the spec's that I have with the MSi. This computer is an absolute beast, as i'm sure you can see in my first post with the spec's.
As far as SLI, maybe I will save it for the desktop that I'm going to build and just use this for on the go gaming. Shame that MSI didn't make it so it could handle SLI.
Random question, as new GPU's come out, will I be able to upgrade my GPU or am I stuck with this?? Also, I currently have to SSD's in Raid 0 but I've been thinking about adding the third SSD option they have on their site, would something like that be plug and play since I'm already in raid 0??
Once again, thanks for the replies, they have been super helpful!! -

Let’s take a look on the detail spec., 384GB SSD Super RAID, Intel Core i7 4800MQ @ 2.7GHz, top level GTX880M 8GB GDDR5 graphics, 32GB RAM. It’s all top level and could use for 3 more years of ultra-quality games!
When first time to use MSI gaming notebooks, you will feel amazing about the SteelSeries keyboard is really good typing feeling and solid based. It comes with multi-color backlit and move the windows key to right side, that really professional design as a gaming notebook keyboard, and the only one with real gaming design.
Take a look in the SteelSeries Engine, the exclusive gaming software only for MSI gaming notebooks. This macro keys software built in Keypress macro, Text macro, 1 key launch program and Disable key function, besides F1~F12, all other keys could be used for macros setup, and 4 layers of keyboards o setup 4 sets of macros with 4 sets of different backlit combinations, so this is really a great software for smarter and stylish gaming experience.
With CPU-Z tool to check, the upgraded Intel Core i7 4800MQ @ 2.7GHz, TDP 47W, 4 Cores 8 Threads is really great performance, CPU Boost could up to 3.5~3.7GHz.
Because of Core i7 4800MQ and GTX880M, the 3D benchmarks comes with breakthrough scores than ever on the notebook platform, 3D Mark Fire Strike: P5351 pts.
The GT60 Dominator Pro on 3D Mark 11 gains P8461 pts, it’s whole new level of the gaming notebooks, and It’s over 15% faster than GTX780M!
The 3D Mark Vantage boost up to P33115 scores, it’s 14% faster than GTX780M!
Then we check on other software of DirectX11 3D performance, the Heaven Benchmark is world’s 1st software tool to test DirectX11 effects, this time we use Heaven Benchmark version 3.0 to test.
Set the Tessellation on normal to enable DirectX11 effects and run Benchmark, the Full HD resolution could get 78.2 FPS(Frames Per Second) high score result.
Since this GT60 is 3K IPS panel edition, of course we have to try 3K resolution, you could see that the result block is smaller at 2880x1620 resolution, the result is 42.7 FPS with same setup, so we could say that 3K resolution will reduce over 45% of the FPS rate in this test, but GTX880M is too powerful, so still over 40FPS, and most games we need to get over 30 FPS to play and feel smoother, at least 20 FPS to play a game, if lower than 20 FPS, that will makes people feel lag obviously and feel dizzy easily.
Since we tried some benchmark, of course we have to try at least a famous game to the real world experience. Battlefield 4, the biggest FPS game title since end of 2013, is one of the heaviest loading games on PC platform.
First we made Battlefield 4 detail at 1920x1080 with Ultra Graphics Quality setup.
The gaming frames is 46 FPS, really smooth and around 20% faster than GTX780M.
Once we tune up the resolution to 2880x1620, the FPS drops a lot because the Ultra mode also set 4xMSAA (Anti-Aliasing), that will impact the performance a lot in higher resolution, also make graphics memory demand around 3GB~4GB, seems the 8GB GDDR5 with GTX880M is prepared for upcoming games with such as 3K or even higher resolutions!
We could see it’s about 24~28 FPS under 3K resolution with Ultra Graphics Quality, most time it will reduce over 40% FPS rate of the gaming performance.
Seems to set the Battlefield 4 with “High” graphics quality on 2880x1620 resolution is more suitable to play the game smoother in every theme.
It’s about 42 FPS, close to the 1920x1080 Ultra graphics quality. So if we want to play heavy loading games at 2880x1620 resolution, set to High graphics quality setup is a good option for 3K gaming!
After these 3D and gaming tests, let’s take a look on the temperature of the cooling system. The room temperature is 25 degree C, the temperature of fan out part is 71.2 degree C, it’s not a surprise because of GTX880M and Core i7 4800MQ, even it’s a bit lower than most gaming notebooks with this 2 combinations. The palm rest and keyboard side is 30.6 degree C, it’s really cool for users to hands on.
After the fabulous experience of great 3D performance, let’s take a look on the benefits of “Super RAID 2”, normal 2.5” HDD is about 80~100MB/s, single SSD is about 400~550MB/s, BUT, GT60 Dominator Pro boost over 1536MB/s and average is 1477MB/s, that’s 15x faster than single HDD, almost 3x faster than single SSD.
If we check on the AS SSD Benchmark tests, you could see more detail of the storage access performance is amazing, the Sequential read is 1116.76MB/s, write is 786.79MB/s. 4K-64Thrd read is 665.09MB/s, write is 461.18MB/s, it’s ultra fast!
The GT60 Dominator Pro 3K IPS edition comes with Killer Doubleshot LAN and WiFi, it provides faster response time of gaming experience, when you at different LAN/WiFi environment, Killer software will ask you to make an internet speed test, this will fine tune your LAN/WiFi for smoother and faster online experience.
MSI also got a new software tool called “Dragon Gaming Center”, this tool is also good for hardware monitor and utility launch tool. Also could show the status of Hybrid Power enable or disable.
The ultimate weapon for enthusiast gamers:
The GT60 2PE Dominator Pro 3K IPS version is extremely powerful, it comes with most of the features that a great gaming notebook could have, 3K IPS panel is really great effect of vision quality, SteelSeries keyboard with SSE is amazing for gamers to play their games smarter, Sound By Dybaudio present really good detail sound quality, Killer Doubleshot is faster for online gaming, of course the GTX880M is awesome for gamer to play Full HD even 3K resolution games, the backlit of Dragon logo and keyboard is really beautiful.
Conclusion:
The overall score I will give this GT60 2PE Dominator Pro 3K IPS edition with Super Pack is 95 out of 100, this is really great machine for any hard core gaming or power user usage, I would recommend any one to must-have this notebook if it’s affordable for you!!
Game Performance: ★★★★★★★★★★
Storage Performance: ★★★★★★★★★★
Gaming Design: ★★★★★★★★★☆
Sound Quality: ★★★★★★★★★★
Keyboard: ★★★★★★★★★☆
Online speed: ★★★★★★★★★☆
Price Range: ★★★★★★★★☆Ok either you work for MSI or you changed the settings in 3dmark11. I only scored around 5K with my GT60 2PE 3k. Any idea why I'm scoring 3k below you? Laptop was plugged in btw. Also how can you enter bios settings with this laptop? I suspect that maybe the hybrid gpu thing is affecting my score, and the Pc is probably not fully utilizing the GTX 880M, maybe in bios I can disable the integrated CPU's video card??? Please let me know. Thanks.

Sound problems on ProBook 6550b, running on Win 7 Pro x32bit..
I have been getting very similar sound problems on my notebook as posted by most: internal speakers work on original Audio HD drivers, but there is no sound when I connect external speakers or headphones. I up-graded the audio drivers to IDT HD Audio and I get sound coming from external speakers or headphones, but nothing from internal speakers.
I have tried everything from reporting the problem on public forums, live help, and done this or that, but nothing changes. It's so very clear to me that it has to do with audio drivers, which don't seem to work appropriately to cover all aspects of sound output.
I also, often, get this loud, weird, irritating noise and a frozen PC when I am playing music with the notebook, while on the internet. The best I do is not to do both at the same time. I have seen similar problems on blogs, but tangible solutions are NOT offered!!!! Please help...Audio Switching coudl be due to several reason. if you have tried latest audio drivers and latest Video drivers from hp.com, i suggest you to get audio board replaced for your computer.
Hope it helps.

Waseem,

Sound problems after upgrading to 7.1 and Pro
I have recently upgraded to Quicktime Pro and installed the 7.1 update, to create Podcasts at work. The only problem is now that non of my quicktimes will play sound. I have checked all volume control sections and mutes etc, its definitely a problem with the software. Also once a movie plays through, or if I try and use the play controls, other than initially pressing play, the player crashes and have to go to task manager to close it properly. The same occurs when you try and close the program.
I was going to uninstall and try again, but I was worried this might cause problems with the Quicktime Pro info.
Anyone else had these problems or have any advice.
pc amd 2.8 Windows 2000I'm also having sound problems with Quicktime v7.1 Pro. If I play a .swf file in Quicktime, the video and audio play great. If I play an .avi file, the video plays but there is no sound. If I play a .mov created by Camtasia Studio using either the default compression or the H.264 compression format, the video plays but there is no sound. The graphic display indicates that the audio is present in all cases.
Is there an issue with this new version of Quicktime Pro v7.1? -
