[SOLVED] Driver for my USB Wireless LAN Adapter
I have a USB Wireless LAN Adapter for my desktop so I can share the network at home with others, but I found that I can only use my USB Wireless LAN Adapter in install environment. The driver for USB Wireless LAN Adapter just disappear after installation, the operating system could only identify the device but could not drive it.
Are there some packages not install for this problem or some configuration of the system is wrong?
thanks

have you searched the forums? There are a bunch of threads on the ath9k module not working correctly with the latest kernel.
That's why it works in the live cd environment but stops working once you update and login to your actual installation.

Need mac driver for TP-Link Wireless USB adapter TL-WN7200ND
i need Mac driver for TP-Link Wireless USB adapter model no TL-WN7200ND
First of all, TP-Link does not provide OS X drivers for that adapter. However, there are other sources that have drivers like this one. It is not official and it may fail, but it has been tested by other users and it works correctly.

Looking for hardware (PCI Wireless LAN)
I'm looking for a PCI Wireless LAN card that will work well with Linux, does anyone know of any place that documents this sort of thing? (as in a list)
Euphoric Nightmare wrote:Okay, just figured out i can't use pci, because there are no slots available...fucking dells...i'll have to look at some other options
I think it's other option, singular - as in USB? I recently had to switch wifi to USB myself, when my laptop's card slots died. After a bit of research, I went for the prism2 chipset with the wlan-ng driver - specifically, the Netgear MA111. It's all working fine now, but in retrospect, I'd probably go for something that works better with wireless_tools.
AFAICS, there aren't any stable drivers for 802.11g over USB - madwifi may or may not do it, depending on Atheros, prism54 is trying, and they have pre-alpha stuff available for the brave/foolish, and there's also the zd1211 project on sourceforge. -
do i need a wireless lan adapter for my tv to connect with wireless router?
Yes, if it doesn't have wireless built in. Provide the model number of the TV if you wish specifics.

Win 7 x64 Driver for a 32bit CF Cardbus Adapter (x61)
Does anyone know where I can get a Win 7 x64 driver for a 32bit CF cardbus adapter mounted in the Lenovo x61 internal multicard reader?
I am running Win 7 x64 on a Lenovo X61 7675-CTO. I have an Viking 32 Bit High Speed Compact Flash Cardbuss Adapter inserted in the internal multicard reader. When I insert a CF card in the reader, I get "Mass Storage Controller" and "drivers for this device are not installed" error indicators from the Windows Device Manager.
This configuration was working fine for me under Win XP x32. I read the suggestion posted to another thread that one can downgrade to Win 7 x32, but I am hoping for a X64 solution. I have already installed the "6iio10ww" Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver for Windows 7 (64-bit). The problem seems to be that Viking has not released a x64 driver for this product. It seems Microsoft should have installed the proper driver during the OS install since this device was around before the Win 7 was introduced.
Can anyone suggest a source for the proper driver or an alternative CF card cardbus adapter known to work with Win 7 x64 OS?Thanks!
Apologies for now double-posting: new thread -

I downloaded it and it keeps telling me "No Scanner Detected." I looked on their website under supported scanners, found my Microtek ScanMaker 3600 and it says "NO" for Mac.

I just sent an email to them asking if VueScan does support a my scanner. I hope it does. I have been searching but am not proficient or know enough of what to look for. I just don't want to have to buy another scanner. -

I am selling my Macbook Air 2008 and need to reformat it back to it's factory settings. I've been reading the help but I don't seem to have a re-install drive for the USB port. Is this something post 2008 or can I get one from somewhere?

OS X driver for Airlink AWLL6070 wireless USB adapter?
Is there any one know the Driver for Lion and SL for Airlink wireless AWLL6070 USB adapter. Airlink web site does not show any Mac driver support. I use this adapter in window and it works fine. I want to use it on Mac too.
kappy,
just like you mentioned, the driver did not work. I force my lion boot into 32-bit mode but it didn't work as well. I look at the /var/log/install
"PKLeopardPackage <file://localhost/Users/john/Downloads/MAC-airlink-awll5077/10.6/Installer.pkg# rtl8192sus.pkg>"
It was installing rtl8192sus.pkg
I believe it is driver for realtek chip.
I somehow spot in system profile that airlink awll6070's manufacture chip is Ralink.

Manufacturer: Ralink
Location ID: 0x1d110000 / 4
Current Available (mA): 500
Current Required (mA): 450
I search ralink.com and found that there is a driver for mac.
http://www.ralinktech.com/support.php?s=3
I download and install 10.6 version of driver on Lion. well, it seems to work now.
I forced my system to boot into 32-bit because one of the driver did not work in 64-bit mode.
I will give it a try to boot into 64-bit mode to see if it work. -

Help: XP driver for 3000 G410 wireless adapter
Hi All,
My recently bought g410 came with Vistra (only) drivers CD, while I'm installing winXP instead. I downloaded drivers from Lenovo website and everything worked except the winXP driver for "wireless network adapter" (all 3 of them: Gemtek, 3xxx, & 4xxx), the adapter was simply not recognized.
When I look at g410 spec, it says something like "Wireless Network Type: InviLink 802.11BG", does it mean that it is another type of wireless network driver those available on Lenovo's site? If so, where can I get this driver? Can someone help, please?
Thanks,
fitro
Solved!
Go to Solution.Dear Silens,
Have tried to install the vista driver for Gemtek, and YES, the wireless thing is working now! Thanks for the feedback.
I notice that in the device manager, the device reads something like"Broadcom 802.11g" while from the specification, the wireless adapter should be 802.11bg (the letter "b" is missing from the description). I don't notice any performance issue though, however, would like to know if you have the same description as well?
Dear Rex,
I don't know how to start the system update software, do i need to download from any website?
Thanks,

Driver for Officejet 4500 Wireless all-in-one will not install after upgrading to Windows 8.1
Upgraded to Windows 8.1 on Pavilion g6. Officejet 4500 Wireless all-in-one still prints but won't scan. Downloaded full feature driver. Installation quit giving error message 'file cannot be found'. Tried 'chat' sessions with no resolution
This question was solved.
View Solution.Hello bob5e,
I am sorry to hear that you are unable to install successfully on your Windows 8.1 with your Officejet 4500 Wireless. I can see that the installation quits on you, giving you an error message. I am going to recommend trying a couple of things to hopefully make the installation successful.
1. First of all, try installing by using The Printer Install Wizard for Windows which finds the correct driver for your unit and installs it.
2. If that does not work, please try this next troubleshooting document step by step.
Installation issues - The Progress Bar on the Software Installation Stops or Stalls
I hope this helps!

Driver update issues?: wireless LAN no longer works
Hi,
I'm using an X200 (7458-CTO, XP SP3). For a week (or a couple?) I've been unable to use Access Connections (AC) to get my wireless to work. When I uninstall-reinstall the driver (for the 5300 AGN) I can get Windows to do it for me -- but I have no luck with AC.
Posters with the same problem -- but other makes/models, usually T60's or T61's -- have suggested that it was related to updating several (4-5) drivers; this issue was solved in their forum (see thread titled "Access Connections 4.52 upgrade: fails to detect any WiFi networks"). The solution, however, appears to be specific to the T60-61.
This issue is not debilitating, but it *is* annoying, since it requires uninstalling-reinstalling the driver each and every time I go online, and I can't use AC (which I previously loved).
Ideas?Hi denaliwoman,
Welcome to the Lenovo forum
If it were me, I would simply remove Access Connections, and use the standard XP wireless tools. But it sounds like you much prefer to use AC... may I ask why?
Best regards,
Frank
Edit: Just came across this post, which may help if you want to keep Access Connections.
