[SOLVED] Error when starting awesome WM.

I'm not sure if this should go here or in Workstation User, so sorry if I got it wrong. When I try to startx with "exec awesome &" in my .xinitrc I get an "expected keysym, got XF86Info: line 914 of inet" error. Someone suggested that it could be my keybindings in my rc.lua for awesome but I tried someone else's rc.lua and still got it.

  • [Solved] Errors when starting openldev?

    Hi,
I used openldev for a project a while back and I know that it was upgraded since I used it.  I went to start it today and I get the following errors:
failed to open libtool archive "/usr/lib/openldev/libinsertinfo.la"
failed to open libtool archive "/usr/lib/openldev/libmakefileeditor.la"
So, I guessed that there was an issue with having created the project with an earlier veriosn of openldev.  I created a test "hello world" project - closed it and opened openldev.  I get the same errors.
The libraries list above are not owned by openldev so I am not sure what is happening.  Any guesses as to what I have done wrong?
    Thanks
    Kev
    EDIT:
I just looked at PKGBUILD and all of the *.la files were deleted from the "pkg" directory.  Also, googling shows that these files exist in other openldev packages for other distros.
EDIT2:  I tested on a fresh arch install and get the same erros.

I had posted a bug report and the arch team fixed super fast.
    Thanks
    Kev

  • Error (Error when starting a SWITCH branch) while using container operation

    HI Experts,
I am using container operation step for moving internal table (ref to sflight) to workarea. The error I found in the log is ' Error when starting a SWITCH branch'.Kindly help me in finding the solution.Below are the steps and code.
Result Element = lw_sflight             (Element ref to sflight with export and Import)
Assignment     =    =                     (Assign (contents of table are deleted first)
Expression      = &FLIGHT&             (Multi line container ref to sflight)
    Operator          = Assignment
    Expression      =                                 (Blank)
    Thanks and Regards,
    Srini

    Hello,
Maybe you should show more information about the condition step instead of the container operation step.
A previous poster in SDN said they solved their problem by changing the order of the conditions.

  • Secondary methods : Error when starting submethod

    Hi,
I have designed a workflow for payment request : For the approver i am displaying  the document in edit mode thorough standard method .I am calling that method ( Edit method ) in the secondary method of the decision tab( METHODS tab)  .But i am getting the error "Error when starting submethod " whenver i execute the workitem.I am working ECC 6.0 .
Please can anyone help in getting this solved .
    regards
    Paveee.

The answer is simple: You need to co-operate with someone who has wide authorizations. It is impossible to solve a problem when you don't even have authorization to check what went wrong. I would suggest contacting your Basis team/person.
<i>Message was edited by Kjetil Kilhavn:</i>
But on an entirely different note, you haven't really shared information that could tell anyone what the problem is. I'm suspecting you are using a customer-specific object type, and that the problem is in your solution, rather than authorizations. The reason I am suspecting this is that experience shows most errors are in customer-specific coding (i.e. my code) and not in SAP's own code

  • Error when starting work item

    Hi
    We are having SRM5.0.
Trying to create Contract. Workflow Without approval of contract(WS1400086)is activated and start conditions also no workflow activated.
Contract is created and getting message Contract created.
But when tried to release the contract it shows "Awaiting approval".
In Workflow log (SWI1)it shows error."Error when starting work item xxxx".
What could be the reason. Please let me know the solution if anyone of you come across such error.
    Thanks in advance
    Jagadish

    Masa
It is maintained as General task already.
It seems the workflow task WS14000085 does not have definition.
When checked in SWDD for the above teask there are no steps defined for that workflow.
SAP says that we need to define and action for workflow WS14000085.
But what is the procedure to define the workflow.
I presume this is the standard workflow and it should be defined by default when it comes along with the SRM package.
Anyone of you know how to define the workflow and activate the same?

  • Error when starting parser: timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL:'TfSAPCMRC'

    Hello experts.
When I try to preview or refresh a Crystal Report document built on a BEx query I get the following error msg:
Database connector error: BAPI Error #0. Error when starting parser: timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'TfSAPCMRCV'.
We have done as suggested in "SAP Note 1032461 - MDX parser does not start", but without success.
This is what we've tried so far:
replaced the file "librfc32.dll" (in C:\Windows\System32 and C:\Windows\SysWOW64)  with the new version mentioned in Note 413708.
tested the connection in SM59 - non successful
tested the report query with transaction MDXTEST - non successful
tried to start the mdxparser manually on server - non succesful, error msg: "The application failed to initialise.."
    We have the following config:
    MS server 2003 SP2 x64 ed.
    SAP logon 7.20
    MS SQL server 2005
    CR 2008
    new librfc32.dll version 7200.1.39.6461
Any ideas on what to try next would be highly appreciated!
    Cheers, IngA

    Hi Ingo.
We have only one application server.
I registered the new version of the file C:\windows\SysWOW64\librfc32.dll with regsvr32.exe successfully. I've also tried to copy the new file to the same directory as the mdxsvr.exe-file is located, but it made no difference.
Should I remove all other copies of librfc32.dll and only keep the one in folder C:\Windows\SysWOW64, or maybe register them all with regsvr32.exe?

I am testing my workflow which starting with a multiple condition (switch). The workflow process is stopped with the error:

The workflow check shows no warnings or errors. What could be the problem?

Check the workflow container (of the started workflow instance) and see if you spot a problem with one of the container objects used in your switch conditions.

    Hi,
This is a common problem if scripting is disabled either on server or on ur sapgui client.
for enabling at server got rz11 tcode and enter sapgui/user_scripting profile and enable scripting there.
Refer my sdn weblogs which shows minimum config for QTP and ECATT  and also how to create and run the scripts.

    Back again? Nothing learned?
    No jdev version?
You should n^know by now that you have to give at least some basic information.
A description of what you tried to do outside the listing would help too.

when double click on inbox->worlflow item for that particular AR, it goest AR display screen & when we click on balk(F3) goes to screen where we can click on "approve" , " Reject" buttons.
now issue is once double click on inbox item gives infor message saying "Error when starting submethod"(Message no. SWF_RUN637) & goes to approval screen directly.
Please help to correct this issue.
    Thanks & kind Regards,
    SL

    Hi,
The issue might be with the secondary methods of the decision  step. Check if any secondary methods are included in the decision step. and make sure when you are using the secondary methods you should ahve the instance of the business object.. in the workflow container so that the methods that you want to execute parallel while or before executing the workitem.
The secondary methods will be listed out under METHODS tab of decision step

  • Windows error when starting iTunes 5.

    Hey.
My iTunes suddenly started giving me a Windows error when starting it. I installed iTunes 5 instead of iTunes 4 recently, and it has been running. But today when I wanted to transfer some more music to my iPod iTunes wouldn't start. I just get the Windows Error... thing. What can I do? I already tried to reinstall it, but as you know, it's god d*mn impossible to completely delete Apple software without a format.
I talked to a friend of mine who had experienced the same problem, but it was his firewall/antivirus (F-Secure) that was the problem, and I'm running PC-Cillin - which I tried to disable, but it didn't help.
    Help, thank you.

Deffo a missing quicktime issue. See my post Chris Rocco, "itunes launching problem.", 07:20am Oct 2, 2005 CDT
Itunes relies for some unknown reason on compression technologies in quicktime libraries. Crazy! No more quicktime alternative!
