[ SOLVED ] ... Exaile now missing a gstreamer plugin

Hi All
I have been using exaile for a while now, with no problems, but today when i go to play some music i get an error saying 'gstreamer missing a plugin' .... I have all the gstreamer plugins installed, the good, the bad, the ugly and now i'm stumped ...
Any suggestions please ?

[SOLVED]Clementine: GStreamer plugins missing

GStreamer could not create the element: autoaudiosink. Please make sure that you have installed all necessary GStreamer plugins (e.g. OGG and MP3)
I get this error when trying to play a song in Clementine (an mp3), even though I have the necessary plugins (which are supposedly part of the package gstreamer0.10-good).
I tried this:
$ rm -rf ~/.gstreamer-0.10

I also tried installing gstreamer0.10-good-plugins because of this page:

But no luck.

Sorry; I'm an effing idiot. When I was exiting out of Clementine, I wasn't restarting it, so it didn't load the new plugins.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I do have gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg installed; I believe it's included in the gstreamer0.10-plugins group and just double-checked and it's there. I also just tried changing the extension to .m4a as you suggested but no luck; same error message.
And I do have those above codecs:

I checked VLC as you said, and for the mp4's,
audio codec: "MPEG AAC Audio (mp4a)"
video codec: "H264-MPEG-4 AVC (part 10) (avc1)".
decoded format (video): "Planar 4:2:0 YUV".
The page gives some more information, but I don't think anything so relevant (channels, sample rate, resolution, etc).
Do you have any other ideas, and is there any additional information I should provide?

Try assigning Queen as the Album Artist on the compilations in iTunes on your computer.

I just tried to copy a folder to a pen drive from my mac. It transferred fine. I then ejected the pen drive then pulled it out. When I pulled it out it said it had not ejected correctly despite me just Doing this. The folder is now missing from both! Help

When youi say Eject, the RAM copy of the Directory is written back to the drive. On a pen drive, this can take several seconds.
If you get too excited and don't wait those few seconds, the directory write will be incomplete, and the drive will lose its integrity or lose files or both.

You cannot redownload audiobooks.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.. Copy them from your backup copy of your comptuer.

I installed new PSE12 on my Win7x64. I previously had PSE9 installed.

So, did you import your pictures in a new catalog in PSE12? That can only restore tags which were specifically 'written to files' in the Organizer.
As a matter of fact, the solution in your case is not an 'import' via the 'get photos and videos... from files or folders'.
It's a catalog conversion, which creates a new PSE12 version from your old one. This is done in the File menu, catalogs... option : the catalog manager. There is a 'convert' button which you use to search and convert catalogs of any older version (shortcut Ctrl Maj C).

My new Menu Button that came with the latest update is now missing.

I removed the button because it was bothering me thinking there would be no repercussions but now I can't find it because it contained the customization menus. I have searched through the other menu options but the only route to the customization is now hidden in the now missing button.

Bug in Weather for iOS 8 now missing animations.

Hi everyone,
Ever since upgrade to iOS 8.1 from 7.1.2 I've noticed that the weather app no longer shows background animations for cities outside of the USA. I have a feelings this has something to do with Apple switching from Yahoo as the weather information supplier to The Weather Channel. Comparing an iPhone running 7.1.2(Yahoo) vs 8.1(TWC), on 7.1.2 international cities such as London and Toronto, have current weather status, written under the current temperature which seems to associate the appropriate background animation (fog, rain, lighting, snow... etc); while 8.1 no such status can be found, thus leaving the background's blank without animations. This is a real letdown, as the weather app for many international user has become, well, boring. Anyone else notice this problem (bug)?
Apple, please look into why The Weather Channel isn't providing current "status" reports on international cities, as this animated feature was a great inclusion in iOS 7 and is now missing in iOS 8.

After iOS 8.1.1 released, this bug still occurs on my iPhone 6. But I found a solution: Remove every cities in weather app, and then restart weather app, add your cities back. Now, the background animations come back to your weather app.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

Wassup with this? I would like to install rythmbox, but without the gstreamer plugins, I can't play most of my 23 gb library.

gstreamer is available. Have you updated your packages list? (pacman -Sy)
You can search for packages with "pacman -Ss gstreamer" or with the Packages link at the top of this page.

Bottom "Image Size" selection is now missing...

Apple Mail, Leopard 10.5.4
Apple Mail used to have a selection box at the bottom of an email that has an image attached to it that said "Image Size:" with a pull-down next to it to change the image size.
After a restart last night, it is no longer there. I can still select the image and right-click to change the size, but was wondering why this is now missing in new email message windows.
I have looked at all of the settings, but for the life of me cannot find it.
Any help in getting this back would be much appreciated.

how are you able to change the size by right-clicking on an image? I don't see that option. I do have that button at the bottom of the message composition window on both 10.5.4 and 10.5.5 machines BUT if I move the image inside the message to a new location this button disappears and there is no way to get it back. this looks like a bug to me. you can try upgrading to 10.5.5 and see if the button comes back. also, create a new account, set up Mail there and see if the button shows up.

Adobe reader plugin missing from firefox plugins list on redhat 6.1

I'm having a problem with putting adobe reader 9 plugin installed on firefox 3.6.17 on redhat 6.1 (64bit)
(Not recreatable on redhat 5.4 with same versions of reader and firefox)
Even though nppdf.so appears in the directory /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins directory with 755 permissions,
when I start firefox, it is missing from the plugins list.
How can I ensure it is properly installed or what steps can I take to debug the problem deeper?

Recently lost videos from my photo albums. It appears any video that wasn't uploaded directly to the ipad is now missing. They were definitely available prior to say two months ago. I've had the ipad since March. Any ideas why? Looking to reload manually

Had current ipad since March. Recently videos (in photos app) that were able to be viewed are now missing. The commonality is that they were videos that were not uploaded directly to the ipad. Anything that I've uploaded since March is still accounted for. Just strange because I have viewed these videos since using this ipad. Only recently have they been "removed." WIll try to manually load them back, but any thoughts as to why? Thanks

If the videos were not uploaded to the iPad - (and I'm never sure what that means to another user - synced from iTunes?)- and they were taken with the iPad itself, you will have to restore from a backup in order to recover the videos if they are really gone from the device.
If they are purchased videos and they are in your iTunes library, sync them back to the iPad.
